Unfortunately, the restaurant was closed for renovations. But the viewing platform was magnificent.

A small cafe located at a height of 202 meters on the 360-meter TV tower. On the top floor there is a restaurant that rotates 360 degrees, but when we arrived, the restaurant was closed, apparently under renovation. And as for this, it is basically a bar that sells alcohol. The assortment is not large, but there are the main vodkas, wines, and local beers. They even found me black tea and poured it into a wine glass. They also bought me a sweet donut. It turned out to be incredibly sweet, like honey dripping from your nose. The service was good, and the prices seemed expensive to us, but for them, they seemed average. There are 3-4 separate tables near the bar where you can sit without looking at them. It is a good place to have tea while looking at the whole of Berlin. But you pay when you enter the TV tower, and if you sit in the cafe, you pay again, and they will rip you off at least 50 euros. If this is your first time in Berlin, I recommend starting your city tour here.

The food itself was quite OK, the restaurant's claim is towards very upscale gastronomy. This reflects the small portion, but the taste is just satisfying. The staff was extremely unfriendly. The atmosphere is rather dark and uncomfortable.

High entrance fee. Currently a construction site, but all-round views are still possible.

We went to the tower only because Google said the revolving restaurant was open. It's a lie, we paid 2 people 57 euros a bit, it's closed.

I really loved the restaurant. The decor is modern and cozy, and the food was delicious and fresh. The service was friendly and gave us good advice when choosing dishes. You feel welcome here as a guest.

We wanted to spend a romantic evening in the revolving restaurant and enjoy the beautiful view. We booked the best time so we were at our seats just before sunset. For dinner we ordered a mixed cheese platter, a red wine and a bottle of water. In my opinion the prices were quite high, but this was acceptable as it was a unique experience for us.

Unfortunately booking is only possible online. This resulted in double debits. To date, 2 months later, no one has responded to my request. There wasn't even a booking for us on site. After a 30-minute debate, we managed to get a seat in the half-empty restaurant. On the menu there were only young animals such as calves and parlor animals. And cauliflower! But the view is nice.

The breakfast was very tasty and the view was great. We managed three turns during breakfast and were able to look at everything in peace. All hell was breaking loose on the visitor level and there was no peace and quiet to look at.

An absolutely spectacular location! I've never experienced anything like this before. A revolving restaurant with breathtaking panoramic views that are truly unique. You're so high above all the other buildings in the city - the view seems endless. We had a table right by the window. There is a small German menu and the food is really excellent.

What a disappointment! I had booked restaurant tickets in advance and upon arrival it turned out that we had been given a table on the inside of the restaurant, so no dinner with a view. I chose the lamb on the menu but they didn't have it. I then chose the dumplings and that was sad: very salty and small portion. I passed this on to the waiter but nothing was done about it. You don't get the quality you would expect for the price you pay. I feel ripped off and absolutely advise against it!

Great view while eating. Service nice, but messed up. We were brought the wrong thing several times. My father got his food after we had all finished eating. You pay too much money for dishes that are too small. In summary, it can be said that just the view was worth it.

El servicio al cliente se destacó como excelente — el personal fue atento e incluso nos sorprendió con una pequeña tarjeta para marcar la ocasión, que realmente apreciamos. La comida era decente, con platos bien preparados, aunque uno de nuestro grupo, que es un poco de un comedor quisquilloso, encontró las opciones de menú algo limitado. A pesar de eso, el ambiente en general, combinado con las impresionantes vistas y el gran servicio, hicieron que una noche única y agradable. Definitivamente vale la pena una visita para una ocasión especial!

We booked tickets for the TV Tower, but unfortunately were unable to use them due to illness. A member of staff had promised us the option of rebooking. Now we wanted to rebook and suddenly it is no longer possible. Unfortunately, the emails I received from the TV Tower Alexanderplatz catering company say otherwise. If we had not been promised this, I would have had another option for a refund. I also spoke to the member of staff again at the same time and was assured again that rebooking for next year was possible. Now we are stuck with over 200 euros due to the misconduct. It would have been nice if the person had at least admitted their mistake. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend the TV Tower. A bitter disappointment.

To be upfront, I'm not sure if I would feel as positively about my experience at the restaurant if I'd had to go the paid seat reservation route (like the ticket to the Observation Deck, overpriced without justification), but since I didn't have to deal with that, I can review this on the experience alone. And it was lovely. The staff were very helpful and friendly, from the gentleman who found me a table during the lunch period, to the kind and knowledgeable woman who took my food orders (and recommended a rather good red wine to go with the meal). The view was nice, more expansive, and less cramped than that of the observation deck, with your rotation on the dining ring adding a nice revolving view of Berlin. All in all, it was a good experience, and one I'd certainly be willing to partake of again on a future trip to Berlin.

Honestly speaking it's difficult to remember the food when at your feet you have Berlin in the most grandiose fashion. Spinning just adds that small extra touch of magic. Please come by evening or day, both amazing. The inner furniture is very characteristic of the time.

In general the restaurant was good, especially the atmosphere throughout Berlin was breathtaking. However, I discovered a few aspects that we were not satisfied with. On the one hand, that was the service, the service took a long time and when we asked if we could get a seat closer to the window there was a stubborn answer. It is not possible to swap tables. On the other hand, the food was rather mediocre and unfortunately it doesn't make up for it compared to the prices. Finally, I would say that the view from 200 m is beautiful, but it is not a must to also plan a reservation at the restaurant.

Service was slower than the rotating platform, which was the most positive thing about the entire experience: namely the view. Waiting times of more than an hour are a disgrace for the price... Quality of the food: just bad, fruit with the peel on it, a viscous smoothie that tastes sour and not sweet. Arrangement of the appearance: inadequate, the hot chocolate overflowed on the edge of the cup and no thought was given to a nice arrangement. Visually I would even give it a 0/5 if I could... Taste: the simplest ingredients that seem rather cheap from the discounter but then charge €80 for 2 people… Service: Unfriendly, stressed, next to us they accidentally spilled all the food on a customer's lap, you are forgotten, ignored Overall 1/5, go there if you want to throw almost 160 DM out the window, but it has nothing to do with a restaurant, in the end you only pay €80 for the view, overall a real disappointment

Mientras que el over - toda la vista era encantador, la experiencia fue decepcionante. Teníamos reservas a las 10: 30 . Nuestra mesa NO era el borde de la ventana. Había una mesa en la ventana con dos personas ya allí. Tuvimos que sentarnos más atrás. En consecuencia, no podía ver "abajo". El servicio fue muy lento. Pedí una mimosa pero se quedaron sin zumo de naranja ( a las 10 : 30 am? ). La comida era normal.

We had reserved a table at the restaurant for 9 p.m. By the time we got to the top, we were seated at 9:05 p.m. There aren't many people there. We wait patiently for a waiter to come and bring us the menu. At 9:31 p.m., someone finally came to take care of us and, handing us the cards, told us that we could no longer eat because the kitchens closed at 9:30 p.m. Why offer restaurant reservations at 9 p.m. if the kitchens close? We are left terribly disappointed and on empty stomachs. The view was magnificent but not enough to make us forget this disappointment!

Very expensive and tasteless. You pay 20+ euros for a table reservation and buy a cutlet with mashed potatoes for 22 euros. You wash it down with diluted cocoa and tea from a bag. The view is good.

You definitely pay for the view here. The food is really tasty, but the portions are quite small. In terms of price, the whole thing is on the high side, but that was to be expected. Nevertheless, I find the whole thing a bit very expensive and you could easily get a little cheaper, even if delivering the goods to the television tower is obviously strenuous. But if you're only in Berlin once and have some money left over, a visit here is definitely worth it

My first visit to the TV tower and also to the “Sphere” restaurant. Truly a highly recommended experience. Super nice service, delicious food and then the great view. We'll be back and say thank you to the whole team!

The view is very good and the windows have always been very clean. The quality of the breakfast is out of proportion.

I had my doubts about these types of places because they tend to be tourist traps but, Wow, what good food and the unbeatable view. Much better than at the De la Torre viewpoint (which is one floor below) and quieter. It is more worth getting a ticket for the Restaurant (which includes the elevator ride) than the ticket for the viewpoint.

Magnificent place where you absolutely must make a stop, especially in the evening. Delicious food, friendly staff but professionalism that could be improved, incredible environment and prices appropriate to the quality and exclusivity. Excellent experience

Please note that booking on the website only gives access to the restaurant, the menu is payable extra. The setting is original and the view superb. The restaurant turns on itself which gives a truly original experience. The menu is good, the service is however a little too fast and not up to par with the place. To do all the same knowing that in Berlin few buildings will give you a view at this height

Quite ok. --- 40 years after mine Hardly changed last visit. ;-) No queue, no Bowu mi. Bro. , no Sovietskoye Shampanskoye, no Little Red Riding Hood. Well good, the food was better (and more expensive) and there was no sushi - but a large plant “from the west” (Pinot Noir) and a lamb from Argentine pasture (or where from?) with crunchy greens and a real Berliner Weisse "with a shot". Rhubarb crumble and an espresso at the end "completely OK." The time window (1.5 hours) was well calculated and completely sufficient. Friendly service. (not necessarily typical for Berlin tourist “shops” of this kind! ) Conclusion: You can do it - not just on Friday evening! THANKS.

We had booked a table for 7pm from home and were looking forward to coming up and eating in the television tower. However, the joy was quickly turned to something else. When we get up, we have to find our table ourselves. The restaurant is not even half full! When we have found the table, we sit down, and then we wait for 15 minutes before a waiter comes with some menus. There are a lot of numbers and letters after each dish, but there is no explanation to be found on the menu cards? It's probably allergies, but it's hard to decipher what the different numbers and letters stand for without an explanation! We had already looked at their menus on the phone while waiting, and were actually ready to order, but he flies away after giving us the menus and we wait for another 20 min before he comes and takes our order. When you book a table on the website, it says that you have the table for MAX 2 hours. On arrival, however, we were told that we only had it for 1 hour and 45 minutes, so it is a long time to sit and wait for the waiter. We finally order some food (2 main courses) and can enjoy the view in the meantime. When our food arrives, we look at it strangely. We both ordered 'veal dumplings', but what we got were two medium-sized lumps of minced meat with a small amount of mashed potatoes and red cabbage. The food is tasteless and has cartilage in it, so half had to be thrown away. The portion is much more like a starter than a main course! We eat what we can, and will then order dessert. We sit again for a very long time waiting for the waiter, and when he finally comes with the menus so we can order dessert, he is gone again before we can look around. My husband wanted to order a glass of bubbles for his dessert, but the waiter took so long to take the order that we never got the bubbles.. the dessert was also very disappointing. We ordered one of each dessert, a champagne sorbet and a rhurbarb and currant crumble with vanilla ice. The vanilla ice cream was almost completely melted when we got it, so it must have been left for a long time before serving. The champagne sorbet ice cream was ok, but the scoop was smaller than the size of a cheek egg. The "fruits of the season" were old and squishy strawberries underneath. We got the dessert at 20.35, i.e. 10 minutes before we had to leave the table. We left there having spent way too much money on food that in no way resembled restaurant food. The waiters obviously had no time for us, despite a half empty restaurant and were very slow! All in all, it's not worth paying €57 (what you pay to reserve a table!) to kick your butt in the seat in their restaurant. We got a total of: 2x main course, 2x dessert, 1 beer, 1 drink and 1 bottle of water to share for €157 including booking fee.

The quality of the food was rather mediocre for the price, but that's forgivable given the stunning view. What's harder to turn a blind eye to are the tiny portions (which left us very hungry), the dirty glasses, and the rather unfriendly staff.

We were at the TV tower in Essen on October 3rd for the opening of Tim Raue's Rausch restaurant. Unfortunately, the price-performance ratio massively disappointed our expectations. The vegetarian menu in particular was a failure, but unfortunately the normal menu couldn't shine either. The starter on the vegetarian menu consisted of a raw, unsightly sliced ​​carrot with a few drops of marinade - a far cry from what you would expect at fine dining. The main course continued the disappointing level: tough shiitake mushrooms that were barely edible. The dessert was the only positive thing, but it couldn't save the evening. The cost of goods for the vegetarian menu cannot have reached 10€ for all 3 courses and in terms of taste, you can't knock any vegetarian off their feet with this composition. If this is Tim Raue's claim in the television tower, then there will be nothing left of his otherwise highly praised quality and precision. It seems more like the name is being used here to justify high prices without delivering corresponding performance. We went home hungry and feeling like we had one of the worst meals we had had in a long time. Quite the opposite of the price level that we are generally happy to pay for high-quality food. There can be no question of fine dining here – more of an absolute mistake. We are very disappointed and can no longer understand the hype about Tim Raue.

We found the entrance eventually and people were lined up. After sometime we saw a gentleman who worked there and said come through. When we got to a table we found it ok. We waited sometime before the waiter came to our table. We order and waited over 40 .minutes for a main meal. I had the pork knuckle which was very dry and the sauerkraut was not nice I have had it many times before and enjoyed it. Then we waited over 25 minutes before the waiter saw my friend calling him. Also they don't cater for people with disabilities. On the way out we had to line up with other people who had not eaten at the restaurant to get a lift.

We go to the television tower at least once every year.

We were at the Sphere with seven people on the occasion of German Unity Day for the “exclusive Tim Raue menu before the official restaurant opening of the “Sphere by Tim Raue””. After good experiences with Tim Raue's kitchen and restaurants, we were looking forward to the evening and the evening's menu with great anticipation. What awaited us that evening was a rather subterranean dinner experience for the price level: From the setup, to the service, to the food, to the drinks - I can't understand how something like this can be offered under Tim Raue's name. The setup had a canteen feel: we were directed to our table with a hand wave, some of the dishes were dirty throughout the evening, and later missing glasses were considered the reason for the lack of wine. The service was overwhelmed, there was no clear allocation and unfortunately the service staff completely lacked instruction and basic training on how to work in service. To give examples: that food was sometimes passed from the front of the table to the window at the back, that wine was poured across the table, that we had to wait until after the starter for some aperitifs. It was not possible for our group of seven people to share a course with matching drinks. However, the most disappointing thing (for me) was the food. Poor ingredients, lukewarm presentation, lack of any finesse. A starter with low-quality salmon or a pickled carrot divided into six pieces, goulash similar to a streaky and fatty piece of leftover roast, puree beaten in zest (aroma?), a dessert of apple pudding with crumble like from the supermarket with freshly crystallized sorbet. I don't think I need to go into what that said about cooling at the end of dinner. Accompanying wines are only available upon request and without a word of explanation. The ultimate failure: the aperitifs and the manager's later handling of the problem of the evening. Options of Rotkäppchen-level sparkling wine or alternatively an “Up-Air-Rol” with no explanation as to the fact that instead of a bitter sparkly aperitif it is a cheap liqueur variant with tonic, which we ended up choosing despite complaining and leaving the drinks behind had to pay most of it. I would particularly like to highlight the conversation with the manager, as she appears to have not been trained on feedback management and the fact that sorted feedback could be received on a professional rather than personally attacking level. All in all, as you can tell, quite a disappointment. Especially after the anticipation we had as a group and after investing time and money. I simply wouldn't have expected this from an event that is the unofficial opening of the restaurant under the leadership of Tim Raue and is sold as a first taste.

For 59 euros just for drive up and table reservations, you can't even get a table by the window. Mind you, the prices are identical. Here people probably prefer to pamper Swabian bus groups and Asian tourists. Without words. But the restaurant is closing in 3 weeks anyway. You probably don't show any motivation anymore. We can only hope that Tim Raue will reintroduce a fairer concept for allocating places. To paraphrase Heinrich Heine: When I think about Germany at night, I lose sleep...

Not cheap but an absolute must!!!

Service was terrible. It took our waiter 40 minutes to take our order. Meanwhile people at a neighboring table got their drinks and their soup. Then our soup arrived before our cocktails. The waiter was insulted when I told him that I’d like to wait until we had our cocktails. We finally got our drinks and 30 minutes after we finished them our soups were nowhere to be seen. When you arrive they give you the time that you must leave. We had been there for almost an hour and a half. at that point with our starters nowhere to be seen we decided to pay for our drinks and leave. Nice view but terrible service.

Great view, but the prices... The wording at breakfast is funny. Everything is selected for an exquisite breakfast. But if, for example, fresh fruit means that there are 4 grapes on top of the cheese, which has already been cut open and spent a night in the fridge, the promotion of fresh fruit is wrong. It was a mini decoration.

The experience in the revolving restaurant is really nice, but unfortunately the food and service don't do justice to the price or the location. While the starter was still being served, the main courses were squeezed onto the table, which unfortunately were completely tasteless. In fact, I've rarely had such a bad meal in a restaurant and couldn't finish the dish. There are other great spots in the city that may not be busy, but still have a great view and really good food and attentive service. I wouldn't recommend Sphere.

Despite being extremely expensive by Berlin terms (and the prices went up by 50-100% in the last years since Covid) the food is mediocre at best. What bugs me is that the ingredients are not bad, and it could be great, if made well enough, but no. At the time of my review (2024 October) you have to pay for the entry (29.50 EUR) and the cheapest food item on the menu is the Soljanka soup (~10 EUR), while normal dishes start at 25. I paid about 8 EUR for a bottle of mineral water (700 ml), cocktails cost 14.50. So if you want to eat, drink a cocktail (or any other drink) or two and have some water and a coffee after food, it will cost between 70 and 100-ish Euro per person, and it doesn't even taste good! The restaurant itself is great, it's very unique, there's a rotating ring on which the seats and tables are located, it rotates with the speed of about two turns per hour, and you sit next to the window. This is the reason I still go to this place with family and friends who visit me in Berlin, but after this visit (I think this was my 6th) I really started to think if it's really worth spending 70-100 Euro versus the 10 Euro entry fee. The service is professional and mostly efficient, and they do speak English. Overall if you're in Berlin and you have the money to spend, I can still recommend it, but be prepared for mediocre food for a high price. If you do, don't forget to reserve your seats at least a week earlier, otherwise you can't enter. And be there 15 minutes prior, as, despite the somewhat separated entry, it still takes 10-15 minutes to get to the restaurant from the entrance of the tower below.

I was on vacation in Berlin and some friends had spoken highly of the restaurant. The truth is that the experience has been very positive. Very good food, very friendly service and very pleasant atmosphere. The views are spectacular. 100% recommended.

This restaurant offers a nice way to experience Berlin from above while dining. The food is good, but the kitchen closes at 21:30, so make sure to place your orders before if you're for a laye dinner like us. The personnel was kind but quite busy. Do not miss the opportunity if you are visiting the TV tower.

Reservamos esto antes de nuestro viaje para garantizar la fecha y hora que queríamos. Estábamos celebrando a mi marido completando el maratón de Berlín el día anterior. ¡Qué experiencia maravillosa! El restaurante gira constantemente y es fácil ver la distinción entre el antiguo Berlín oriental y occidental dividido por la arquitectura. Tuvimos tanta suerte que el hermoso clima nos permitió ver las vistas perfectamente. El brunch era genial con carnes y quesos típicos alemanes, además de yogur y pasteles y té o café. También tomamos una copa de efervescencia cada uno para celebrarlo corriendo el maratón. Tuvimos nuestra mesa de ventana durante dos horas y luego fuimos a la sala de visualización que está en un nivel donde la gente va si solo tienen un boleto de visualización. El restaurante es mucho mejor, ya que se puede sentar y ver mientras se come. Tuvimos el ascensor y echamos un vistazo en la pequeña tienda de regalos en la parte inferior. Sin duda volvería a reservar este restaurante de nuevo cuando vuelva a Berlín!

The restaurant is very nice and the staff is very nice. However, the food is not recommended, some of it tastes very much like metro and the meat was neither cooked through nor crispy as the menu described it. And it wasn't very warm either.

The view is to die for, the food is a total failure. Far too little for the price. Boringly prepared and doesn't taste freshly prepared. Any fries with currywurst are more recommended. Far too expensive for a city landmark and absolutely not recommended.

Excellent view food and service.

We were there at their special event “Family breakfast” taking place every couple of weeks on Sundays. The (rotating) TV tower venue is breathtaking with views all over (mainly East) Berlin. It is (over)staffed, so they make you feel really taken care of. Also, due to the safety procedures at entry, elevator “marketing story” and tons of information provided. The “Family breakfast” includes live band directed at kids and they were over the moon (nearly literarily 😄)! The menu choice is limited though and while fresh and good quality it is somehow uninspiring and overpriced. Nevertheless, the experience compensates.

High above Berlin - turns almost a bit too fast... (it feels like)

It is a unique restaurant experience with a fantastic view (it revolves completely around Berlin in 30 minutes during the meal), very good food and, if you visit in the evening, a romantic starry sky.

A wonderful place, an extraordinary experience, beautiful views, the only downside was a long wait for service and food.

Very tasty in a relaxed atmosphere

It was a great evening yesterday with little room for improvement. If you book an appointment and then still have to wait 30 minutes, it's annoying. It is incomprehensible that no fish knife is placed with fish. We were disappointed that the zander was unexpected and the cucumbers were rushed. The ambience cannot be topped at sunset.
