Were there on Valentine's Day, it was good that we reserved a table because it was well attended. Nevertheless, you were served in a friendly, prompt manner. Starters, main courses and dessert were very good portions and very tasty. The ambience inside was very appealing. In the warmer seasons, meals are also served in the beautiful, large beer garden. Price/performance good. Is closed. recommend.

Delicious food & friendly service We had a really nice visit to this restaurant. The ambience is appealing and invites you to linger. The service was very friendly and attentive, implemented special requests without any problems and was particularly warm to children and dogs. The food was consistently delicious and freshly prepared. What's particularly pleasing is that there is a good selection of vegetarian dishes that are creative and not just side dishes. Everything was beautifully prepared and tasted really convincing. Conclusion: friendly service, pleasant atmosphere and great food – we would love to come back!

Best cuisine in Mülheim - people still cook properly here! Very nice people in service and quick too. For larger groups, à la carte can be served smoothly without anyone breaking a sweat. It's a shame that we no longer live nearby and don't come there regularly anymore... Update: Went there again a while ago and it's still the same great restaurant as it was back then! The food tastes great, just like back then, and is of first-class quality. The service is, as it was back then, warm and courteous and classy without being aloof. Keep it up - the best memory of Mülheim for us and it's still just as great as it was back then :)

The food is good, home-style, Greek and the portions are big enough to satisfy any hunger. The staff doesn't always try hard. Too bad. They also offer takeaway food, which I think is great and have used it many times.

Since the Drago at the Zornige Ameise in Essen no longer exists, we have been coming to Mülheim regularly. It's worth it because the food is unbeatably good. The service is as usual at Drago, very friendly, fast and personal. The quality of the restaurant, if you add everything up, is very good.

It was our first time at Drago and we were extremely pleasantly surprised. From the outside the restaurant looks completely normal, but inside it is lovingly furnished and wonderfully decorated. In addition to the regular menu, there was a weekly lunch menu which, in addition to current offers, also had reduced prices. All dishes were freshly prepared, and the salads also consisted exclusively of fresh ingredients. There were six of us and everyone was very satisfied. Beforehand there was a basket with very tasty baguette. The waiting times were completely normal. A small drawback was that the pistachio ice cream had a clear almond note. Overall, a clear recommendation!

Christmas - OK, it's going to be full of announcements. But waiting 30 minutes in front of the door despite an appointment was borderline. Order and wait. But getting lunch (!) at 3:20 p.m. is not possible. As expected, the Christmas menu is more expensive, but €28 for a schnitzel with fries? Mayo is paid extra and the plate is completely carelessly prepared. A 180 gram rump steak, also with fries, without any sauce or decoration for €48? I feel left out like a Christmas goose. At least the service was friendly and helpful. Next year things can only get better elsewhere.

Die Bedienung war schnell und gut. Es gab leider nur eine Suppe. Diese fand der ganze Tisch nicht lecker, es ging. Die Hauptspeise oder sollten wir sagen XXL-Portionen passen zu den Preisen. Ich würde vorschlagen man korrigiert den Preis nach unten und hat somit auch weniger Essen-Abfall oder Doggybag. Sowohl unser Tisch als auch die Tische neben uns schafften auch nur ca. 80-90% ihres Essens. Die Menschen, die mehr Hunger haben können ja dann noch einen Nachschlag bestellen. Ich finde es so aber einfach nur schade, dass so viel Essen weggeworfen wird. Der Schnitzel-Kinderteller hätte total ausgereicht für meine Familie und mich. Das Kind schaffte es auch nicht ganz.

We have been visiting the Drago restaurant in Essen Zornige Ameise since 1988 - 2021. Afterwards we visited Drago in Mülheim an der Ruhr. We are very enthusiastic about the quality. Today we had a delicious meal again 😋😋😋😋😋

Unfortunately still bad. Low-quality oil is probably used for frying, which can have a negative effect on the gastrointestinal tract. The interior is overloaded, tasteless and no longer up to date. The prices for drinks are ripped off.

This was our first time at Drago. It's really busy, which you can tell when you're looking for a parking space outside. We got a seat in the back of the restaurant. Quite a large room, unfortunately the atmosphere is not that nice, quite loud, tables are in a long row. We don't have to wait long for the food. We both had the Drago steak plate. The pork fillet was more than done, the champions were from a can. I would have expected a little better quality for the price. But maybe we should have ordered a schnitzel dish.

Very nice staff and good food. My last review was from 2018. Even today in October 2024, the food is still great. The photo shows the Balkan grill plate (without the Krassalat) and the small chicken (without Dragosalat). The salads have already been eaten.

A very nice restaurant, parking right next to the house. I was there with someone on a Wednesday afternoon and the restaurant was well attended. The food was good, especially the dessert tasted excellent. The prices are not cheap, but they are still within the range of what you are willing to pay for a nice evening in a well-kept atmosphere with a tasty meal.

You should pre-order a table by phone. There are enough tables outside and inside, the service staff are very attentive and super nice. The food was simply delicious, a great selection of dishes and desserts.

The food is really delicious and the service team is very attentive and nice. We had the Balkan grill plate and the schnitzel plate. On the grill plate was a minced steak, a piece of pork, cevapcici, bacon and a skewer. The meat was very tender. As a side dish, djuve rice - which was very fruity, small onions and ajvar. The schnitzel plate came with 3 schnitzels and different sauces. The breading tasted really delicious and the sauces went wonderfully with it. Beforehand there was bread with homemade herb butter, which really tasted very good. It was a really nice experience we will repeat.

Starter was snails, main course was lamb. Very tasty but we couldn't fit dessert😜 we'll definitely be back!

Bad experience, the salad was a ladle of coleslaw from the bucket, the Balkan plate was a dry desert, carelessly placed, the table was sticky, the Cola Zero wasn't a Zero, for me as a diabetic it was an evening with high sugar levels. No reason for another visit.

I love everything about the store. The atmosphere, the open and warm staff and above all the food. I can recommend steak, salads, fresh asparagus or onion soup and Drago butter - preferably three kilos. I've been eating at Drago for as long as I can remember. It's a shame that there is no longer a location in Essen. 🫶 Gladly again and again. 🤙

Six of us ate there. The restaurant was very busy. The service had a lot to do, but remained friendly. That was very noticeable. The food was delicious and plentiful. Just as you would expect. But not everything went smoothly when it was served. 1 salad was forgotten. It can happen, but then it should be delivered quickly and that didn't happen. Also, there wasn't what was supposed to be on every plate. But okay, those were small things. Even though it was borderline, I just decided on 4 stars because of the service.

The food is really excellent. When the weather is good, we recommend the great terrace with its wonderful atmosphere. We really enjoy coming here.

We were recently guests at the Steakhouse Drago and can only report positive things. The dishes, including the Schnitzel Uhlenhorst and the fillet steaks with fries and fresh asparagus, were excellently prepared and fully met our taste expectations. The atmosphere in the restaurant is warm and inviting, with classic furnishings that make you feel comfortable. The spacious terrace and sufficient parking spaces complete the positive overall picture. Particularly noteworthy is the friendly and attentive service, which made our visit a special experience. We are already planning our next visit and would like to thank the Drago team. A clear case for a strong recommendation! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Unfortunately the branch on the Ruhr has closed, which I still very much regret. We were in Mülheim for the third time and, as always, everything was very good. The selection of dishes is more than sufficient and the price/performance ratio is right. Thank you very much and see you again soon.

Chic restaurant with very competent staff and a beautiful outdoor area. There are delicious steaks with a choice of side dishes, fish and salads. The waitress was very attentive and remembered our orders well. Such good service is rare and should therefore be particularly emphasized here. Outside there is a quiet outdoor area at the back with very comfortable chairs. On special days it is worth making a reservation by phone. Dogs are allowed to lie under the table.

We used to eat in all three restaurants in Essen and in Mülheim years ago, often with business customers or with our family. We met the daughter Sabina, who runs the restaurant in Mülheim, again. Unfortunately, her dad Drago is no more. Sabina is a wonderful, warm and natural young lady who now runs the restaurant. We bring back the beautiful memories. Today in the eternal, always great menu we ate calamari. It was a Mediterranean delight! The quality and huge portions are great as always!!! Always delicious bread with herb butter. We come back regularly now. It's great that "Drago" still exists and how well his daughter has grown into her dad's two-colored shoes! Thank you Ulla and Pit Oster

Hauptgerichte wurden serviert während wir noch nicht mit Vorspeisen fertig waren. Hauptgerichte kamen dann lauwarm noch mal. Steaks zäh, Gemüse fade. Preise hoch, Qualität im unteren Bereich

It was our first time there, even though we had already driven past the restaurant 100 times. We felt comfortable, the plates were completely adequately filled (grill plates). What was also noticeable was that the salad AND the starter (bread with dip) were included for free. Many restaurants no longer offer such a service and you have to pay extra. The service was attentive and the food came quickly. We'd love to come back.

Nur allein der Mühleneckteller wurde von 17,90 Euro auf 24 Euro verteuert. Beim Rest sieht es ähnlich aus. Dann eben nicht mehr Drago. PS: Die Portionen sind auch nicht mehr das, was sie mal waren. Sehr schade. Stammgast seit den 80ern. gewesen

We were there with a group in the evening. As my main meal I ordered a Steffi salad, €16.90. The (strong) waitress was non-advisory and NAUGHTY afterwards. The salad was really the VERY LAST thing...just green salad, no dressing, no herbs, very tasteless. ONE tomato, bad lettuce leaves, thick snake cucumber slices, NO arugula, really nothing... tasteful. Complete disappointment, three times. I'll NEVER GO THERE AGAIN... Price/performance is really MISERABLE... At home I don't even make a salad like that...it's definitely not more than 2 euros....price €16.90...UNHEARED...SHAME

We have enjoyed coming here for years because the service is always friendly and the quality is always good. The side salad and drago butter with the baguette taste particularly good. The restaurant has some of its own parking spaces and there is another public parking lot opposite.

Finally delicious Balkan cuisine again. Very friendly and competent staff and a very good selection of food. The portions and quality are good. This is also reflected in the prices. A little more expensive than other restaurants but it's worth it.

The food was mediocre. Unfortunately, the minced steak wasn't completely cooked through and the steak was probably cooked on the same grill as the meat from the grill plates, so it tasted like it. The staff was very, very friendly, except the blonde waitress woman was very unfriendly. You could pay attention to empty glasses more often. Otherwise it was ok, we expected a little more from the price.

Mitarbeiter waren sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Essen war fantastisch, es wurde alles frisch Hausgemacht und perfekt angerichtet.

"Drago" steht für gleichbleibend sehr gute Küche und liebenswerte Gastlichkeit zu zivilen Preisen. Jahrzehntelang eine Institution für Freunde köstlicher Fleischgerichte. Zum Glück hat das einstige "Steakimperium aus Essen" in Mülheim "überlebt". Jeder Besuch eine (Gaumen)Freude.

Wir waren am zweiten Weihnachtsfeiertag dort,nicht ein einziges Balkan Gericht auf der Weihnachtskarte.Das Essen hat uns nicht vom Hocker gerissen . Mein Fazit ,dass ein weiterer Besuch nicht wiederholt werden muss.

Essen gut, aber Reservierung wurde geleugnet, und das, obwohl mehrere Male zuvor abgesprochen mit der Ausrede: “wir haben Sie nicht erreicht”. Und? Dann gilt die klare mehrmalige Absprache nicht mehr? Ärgerlich, gerade bei großer Gesellschaft mit über 30 Pers. So darf man als Serviceunternehmen keinesfalls reagieren. Geht gar nicht. Empfehlung: hier bei größeren Festen alles schriftlich machen.

Spontan Essen gegangen und es war fantastisch. Ein wunderbares Restaurant! Alle sehr höflich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend. Das Essen ausgezeichnet, Salat frisch, Dressing perfekt, Fleisch auf den Punkt, Reis zum schwärmen und die Pommes knackig nicht fettig. Das Brot mit der Kräuterbutter vorweg absolut köstlich. Wahnsinnig schön dekoriert, so viel weihnachtliche Stimmung ist herrlich. Dort gehe ich nächste Woche wieder hin zum essen 😁🙂. Preis-Leistung mehr als ausgezeichnet. Rund um alles perfekt.

Ich habe selten so ein wahnsinnig tolles Essen serviert bekommen . Der beilagensalat war der Hammer und die Hauptspeise hat mehr als 5 Sterne verdient . Toller Service und nette Chefin die einen direkt freundlich begrüßt hat !!!!! Einfach top 👍

Das Essen war sehr lecker, die Portionen nicht riesig aber ok. Der Service (unser Kellner) war leider etwas langsam und unaufmerksam und hat ziemlich unangenehm nach Schweiß gerochen. Es war aber auch ziemlich voll und der Service entsprechend im Stress. Alles in allem war ich zufrieden, es hat super geschmeckt und das ist die Hauptsache. Ich liebe die Drago Butter. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Ich kenne noch die "Zornige Ameise" aus Essen. Drago Mülheim schließt da nahtlos dran an. Sowohl atmosphärisch als auch vom Essen. Die Cevapcici waren super. Tolles kroatisches Restaurant.

...leckeres Essen und zuvorkommender Service...

Am 2.12.23 waren wir mit unserem Verein dort. Ich hatte gegrillte Forelle mit Ofenkartoffel, die sehr gut war. Empfehlenswert sind auch die Schnitzelgerichte, die mein Sohn bzw. meine Vereinskollegen gegessen haben. Jederzeit gerne wieder.

Super und in bester Qualität wie immer. Gehen schon Jahre dort hin.
