Double Six Diner in Donaueschingen

Been visiting Double Six for years. Friendly service, good food and a relaxed US-style atmosphere. Prices are mid-range. I particularly like the burgers, burritos, sandwiches and flatbreads. There are plenty of seating options and you can often come by without a reservation.

Excellent burgers in perfect American style, with fresh and tasty ingredients. The meat is cooked to perfection and the bread holds together well without falling apart. The restaurant is warm and welcoming, tastefully furnished and reminiscent of classic US diners. Friendly and helpful staff, who help make the experience even more pleasant. Highly recommended for lovers of the genre!

After a long time, I returned to the diner in Domaueschingen – and it was like a little homecoming. The service was outstanding as always; the people were super friendly, and I even ran into a few familiar faces from my old days. The food was excellent, and the service was very attentive and warm. My wife was there for the first time – and she was just as impressed as I was. The restrooms were clean, the atmosphere familiar and pleasant – little has changed, which I find very positive. I highly recommend it; we'll definitely be back!

Very nice staff! You feel like you're in good hands and the food was great. One star deducted because unfortunately we had to wait almost 40 minutes - but I have to say the shop was full to the brim. Gladly again!

Mediocre, was there for the first time today. Nachos Grande and the chicken burrito didn't taste particularly good. Thin salsa, low-flavor guacamole, and nachos. The sour cream was okay. The burrito was convenience and tasted like ready-made products. For the price asked, a pretty sad result. Service was okay, the lady seemed unconcerned, but the waiter was very nice. The ambience didn't really grab you either. The desired American diner ambience was run of the mill, poor in details The response to the other dishes was identical.

A colleague had voted on where we should go out to eat and even though KFC won, we ended up in the juice shop. Service was at least very nice but the ambience left something to be desired. I don't even want to talk about the food because, as I said, we actually wanted to go to the Kfc, which would have been better.

Double Six, even after years I still enjoy visiting this restaurant. The taste is good, the selection is okay, as a small drawback the smoking area could be further restricted, the service is always friendly and the outside area looks well-kept.

Service was very good 👍 very attentive and very friendly. Food was a disaster. Spareribs not bloody on the bone, crispy like a bummi bear that was in water for 3 days. Meat didn't separate from bone. Sauce any ready-made sauce. Burgers are small, loveless and... a TG citizen from Netto from the microwave is worlds better. Schnitzel well breaded, lean, beautiful meat, unfortunately absolutely tasteless. Mushroom sauce packet sends greetings. Tip to the chef, take your car and drive to the Metropolitan in Leonberg. Eat spare ribs and a burger. Go to your car and cry and feel ashamed. Price outrageously expensive.

Brilliant restaurant where everyone can enjoy culinary delights in a pleasant atmosphere and friendly service. Everything just fits there. Reservation recommended.

We were there with a family and had the most unpleasant meal of our lives. Overpriced ready-made products as a starter and my wife's main course was inedible. She had ordered a pulled pork burger - supposedly made fresh every day. The meat was obviously from yesterday, as it was still frozen and unsightly brown. When asked the waiter about it: I'll pass it on. No reaction... We can definitely not recommend the restaurant! Overpriced and poor quality coupled with disinterested staff.

Sparrebibs and wings are okay, unfortunately a bit expensive. Unfortunately, the cole slaw is pure mayo mush… a shame. Service top and map great too.

We specifically headed to this diner and were not disappointed. Get a good table for six without a reservation. The waiter was very attentive and friendly. The food was very tasty. The kids were immediately treated to a children's card to color in and a pack of crayons. There was homemade lemonade which was really delicious. We really liked the service overall. We'll definitely come back. Thanks for the great end to the day!

As soon as we entered the restaurant we were warmly welcomed by Adrian, our waiter. Not only was he incredibly friendly and accommodating, but he also immediately thought of our dog and brought a bowl of water before we had even sat down - such a thoughtful gesture that made us very happy. Adrian accompanied us throughout the evening with his positive charisma and always polite manner. You could tell straight away that he was passionate about his job, and that made us feel completely at home from the first moment. The cozy ambience of the Double S Diner rounded off the evening perfectly. The diner has a nice American look. Unfortunately, it smelled very like smoke inside. The staff was super friendly! I had a cheeseburger, there's still some room for improvement in terms of taste.

We were there on a Monday evening. The diner was well attended, a lot of reservations were made, but we still managed to get a seat. The service was friendly and quick. The homemade lemonade (had “lemon squash”) is delicious. I treated myself to the “Double Six Burger” with home fries. I would have liked sweet potato fries, but unfortunately they aren't available. Burger was juicy, the meat was good and the sauce rounded it off well. The fries were OK. The restaurant is clean, the toilets too. All in all very neat and recommended!

The burgers with fries and potato wedges were delicious. However, I had a fried fly at the bottom of my fries (so always empty the bag!). And there was no apology either, only the question of whether I wanted everything new or just the fries...hence two stars deducted.

Stay away from the starters. Main course was ok.

We were greeted very friendly. To bridge the waiting time, my daughter was given painting supplies, which she started doing right away. The Kidsburger felt huge and my little one was more than full. The veggie burger was very tasty and the potato wedges were also excellent.

Parkplatz Vor dem Restaurant kann man Parken, wie viele Parkplätze es hat kann ich nicht sagen denn ich hatte immer die Möglichkeit dort zu parken. Zugänglichkeit m. d. Rollstuhl Ist möglich. Denn alles ist eben und man kann mit den Rollstuhl reinfahren. Sah jetzt keine Behinderungen für den Rollstuhlfahrer

Rarely have we experienced such courteous and friendly service! (deliberate plural). Level a little louder at peak times but acceptable (diner feeling), furnishings are beautiful. Food was also perfect. We'll definitely see each other again on our next vacation!

It's been a long time since I made a trip to Diner's for lunch. The Propevoll store. The staff, although friendly, were obviously overwhelmed by the situation and obviously didn't know the map completely. The meal also took a full half hour from the time of ordering, which was clearly too long... The competition with the golden M is quicker... Even at peak times. The burger with the wedges was good, but not necessarily anything special for the high price. At least he was full. The ambience is something special and conveys American flair quite well. The music also fits in quite well. But the location in the industrial area is not quite as suitable. But there probably benefits from the people who go there for lunch from the surrounding companies.

My wife and I spontaneously drove past in the hope that we would get a place. The two men assigned to you that evening were super friendly and arranged a table for us for 1.5 hours. Great food, great service, we really enjoy coming here. Best regards.

I'm really excited about this diner. Very friendly and courteous service, great location and first-class food. Unfortunately my son had an allergic reaction to the cookies although he is only allergic to walnuts. We would still like to come back, there is still a lot to try there. Classic diner in a quiet location, a generally relaxed atmosphere. Good selection of American and some Mexican dishes with an additional selection of drinks and desserts. Moist towels for cleaning turned out to be positive and the prices are also reasonable. Service was also very accommodating. Only the wedges could be a little softer, but that's the only small point of criticism in an otherwise very good restaurant visit.
