We were here for the first time today and we are thrilled. The ambience is nice. The restaurant is comfortably furnished and there is plenty of space. There was a large selection of curries, bowls and salads. As vegans we also had a good selection. The dishes tasted very tasty. And the prices are good. We were very satisfied and would like to come back. So I can recommend the store 👍🏽

Absolute impudence! I wanted to use the NeoTaste app to redeem the “2 for 1 bowl / salad / curry” deal that I had previously successfully booked. On site I was suddenly told that a maximum of three NeoTaste deals can be redeemed per day - an internal rule from the boss, which is nowhere in the app! This is not only extremely dubious, but borders on fraud. Why are deals offered if you can't use them? The waitress couldn't or wouldn't do anything and simply told me to complain online. That's not how you treat customers!

A very great and pleasant atmosphere. I often eat breakfast here and think it's wonderful! It is freshly prepared and is incredibly delicious. The employees are very nice and helpful. There is a great seating area outside. Lunch here is also super delicious. I particularly like the crunchy chicken bowl because it's super filling and also something different. You can't find it everywhere Highly recommended!!

Disappointing experience. Very unfriendly staff, long waiting times despite the empty restaurant and then small portions (smaller than in the pictures). When this was mentioned to the employee, she was just sent away in an unfriendly manner, with the comment that it was always like that and that she didn't decide that either. It's a shame that's it for us with Dean & David.

Everything is wrong, everything works, why do you pay so much money, choose the ingredients and then no one reads it?! I also paid for extra bread 4 times and not a single portion came. Of course no one answers the phone either. Such a bad thing!

Top quality, fair price & great service! I always enjoy going to dean&david. The dishes are fresh, tasty and absolutely fair in price. The app is particularly practical – it makes it easy to pre-order and saves time. The restaurant is modernly furnished, offers plenty of seating and has a relaxed atmosphere. The central location is also a big plus. The service is also impressive: I once forgot my headphones there and received an immediate response to my email despite the store being closed. I was able to pick it up the next day without any problem. I particularly like the variety on the menu – there are not only fresh bowls and salads, but also many vegan and vegetarian options. Everyone will find something here! Clear recommendation!

A really pleasant atmosphere - especially between 10 a.m. and 12 p.m. it's pleasantly quiet here, making it easy to study. The bowls are fresh and extremely tasty. A small negative point, however, is that the sockets don't work and you can't charge your cell phone. Otherwise everything is great!

It was delicious! Drink prices too high!

We had ordered food well in advance. When we came in it wasn't ready yet. When everything was there, my curry was not there. This could not be made, but that was not passed on at all. When I said I wanted a wrap, that was not possible because it would take "too long".

The food was OK. The ambience is nice. Unfortunately the service is not good. We waited 45 minutes for 2 wraps and one scrambled egg, even though only 5 of the 20 tables were occupied. We would therefore not recommend the restaurant and would not visit it again.

Really a real disappointment. Tried the vegan falafel bowl and the sandwich with the sweet potato chunks. The sandwich was ice cold and hardly any toppings and the bowl was dry and without sauce (although there was supposed to be teriyaki sauce). The prices are a disgrace for this quality.

We ordered a surprise bag through “too god to go”. We support the idea of ​​buying leftover food cheaper rather than throwing it away. D&D obviously didn't understand the principle. Our “salad” consisted of wilted green lettuce leaves, 5 shriveled halves of cocktail tomatoes, 4 halves of small dried “potatoes”, a few peanuts, edamame and dry carrot sticks. For €4.80 (!) - inedible. D&D has made disposal easy. We took that over.

For this meal I chose the dean & david. Here you order directly at the counter, pay and you are given a pager. You take this with you to the table and it vibrates as soon as the food has been prepared and you can pick up the food at the counter. You can also eat alone here, the atmosphere is pleasant and the toilet facilities are also OK. I chose a tasty vegan bowl. Both vegans and vegetarians will find what they are looking for here, including when it comes to desserts. After eating, you can place the tray with dishes in a niche provided for this purpose. Conclusion: great, for a quick bite in between. Since there is no service, I cannot rate it.

One of the few healthier alternatives to burgers and pizza in Dortmund. Always very tasty and plentiful. One star deducted because of the prices.

Ate there for the first time today, July 24th, 2024 at around 2:45 p.m. The employee (male around 18-21 years old) at the checkout definitely needs further training or should look for something else. This guy is a complete disaster. 1) Charged €1.45 too much for a cappuccino, even though the offer outside says €2. If you ask him about it directly, he just answers “I have no idea”. 2) Cappucino, more like coffee with milk, was made with oat milk, even though I didn't want this. After I asked this employee again whether the coffee was made with oat milk, the answer was “no idea”. A look at the fully automatic coffee machine showed me that it was oat milk because the milk tube was still in the oat milk carton. 3) Dean & Davids run an app that you can use to collect points when shopping. This employee probably has no idea that such a thing exists and answers again what? Right, “no idea”. After all, he asked his colleague, quote, “what is that?” and the colleague told me that this store does not support collecting points with the app. Dear management, I can understand that there is currently a staff shortage everywhere and you have to take or hire what you get. But this employee is really a complete disaster. Unfortunately, the only operator on the invoice is operator number 1, so I can't even really complain about this employee. Finally, I would like to rate my “cappucino” and salad in school grades. Paris salad school grades: 2 Cappuccino school grade: 5- Even though the cappuccino currently costs €2 instead of €3.45, the cappuccino is not even worth 50 cents. Terrible Due to my negative experience here, I cannot recommend anyone in my circle to come here.

Delicious! We had the Caesar Chicken Salad and the Avocado Chicken Bowl. Large vegetarian and vegan selection. Quite expensive, but really tasty!

Hello Dean & David, I have suggestions for you... only take on as many customers as you can deal with. If there is a shortage of staff, a “sorry” is not justified if you have to wait almost an hour for the food. The ambience is great, no question. But the food should also be fresher. The salad tasted stale/musty. The avocado was missing even though I ordered an avocado chicken bowl. There is a huge emphasis on delivery service and customers coming in and going. But the actual customers who eat on site are simply forgotten. Try to take that into account in the future. (Dortmund location) Greetings, your captain.

Nice and clean atmosphere and delicious bowls. BUT really very long waiting times of up to over an hour for two bowls... 😕 We saw other customers come and also wait for a very long time. If you can do it better, great. 👍

Unfortunately completely unsuitable for lunch. The employees seem completely overwhelmed by a “normal” lunch rush. It took 45 minutes from order to completion. I only received my food when I asked or complained.

The salmon salad is terrible. Potatoes are raw and scary! asked to change it. They gave me the salad back and said they would finish frying the potatoes. Horror. I don't recommend it!

The pancakes were warmed up 20 minutes after ordering. There was neither coffee nor chocolate sauce for the pancakes.

I find the homemade bowls a bit expensive, but for me they are the best alternative in the city to get something healthy and fresh. Unfortunately, some service staff are often not entirely focused on the matter, somehow something is wrong every time and there is a young lady who always feels like she is in a bad mood and makes customers feel it.

Had a coffee to-go. I didn't like this one at all

Dean & David usually shines with good food and courteous service. Even 20 minutes before closing time, a delicious bowl is usually prepared. But not on June 6, 2024. At exactly 8:25 p.m. the grill was already off. Usually not a problem, as the employees will otherwise turn it on again without any problems. But okay if you don't want to make any money and want to leave customers empty-handed 35 minutes before closing time... There are people who have to be out and about until 8 p.m. If the opening times are no longer worth anything, then Dean & David is no longer worth visiting to me. Never again!

Food is fresh and delicious. The employees are friendly. But the restaurant in Dortmund definitely has the worst organization among all similar offerings nearby. Once again, my order was simply forgotten in the short distance between paying and preparing it and then hectically made up for it. If you wait a total of 40 minutes, your lunch break will be over quickly. Temporary staff apparently overwhelmed during preparation. Actually a knockout criterion for a lunch offer.

Overall I really like Dean & David Dortmund. The on-site store is clean and nicely decorated. The employees are all warm and make you feel very comfortable. Lately I've been enjoying ordering through UberEats as part of the promotions, otherwise the prices are a bit high. The only point of criticism: Unfortunately, you regularly notice that the dishes are not prepared uniformly. Sometimes the country bread is missing with the salad, sometimes a curry is prepared without edamame, sometimes there is very little or a lot of goat cheese on a salad or another ingredient that should actually be included is missing. That's a bit of a shame. However, the dishes are all very tasty and high quality.

The rating is only valid for today. I wanted a curry that was on the blackboard for 9.95. The cashier then said 10.45. I should then pay the price. Then I changed my mind. I didn't think that was okay.

Even in every bakery you can have your own to-go coffee cup filled, sometimes even with a discount - that's not possible at Dean&David! Coffee deal - €2 - according to the employee, all coffee specialties for the price, BUT with a milk substitute - €0.50 more expensive. It's not about the price, but rather the sustainability, which Dean&David are committed to. Kamps is a large chain where you tend to expect less sustainability, but they offer oat milk as a milk substitute for free and you can also use your own to-go cup.....

I had dinner here in the evening. Be careful: on the menu on site it is marked that the carrot cake is vegan, but in the app it is marked that the cake is vegetarian. Otherwise everything was fine so far. It's a shame that the employees seemed so stressed even though it was very empty.

I ordered from Too Good To Go and had the food messed up the same day. A few hours later I had a severe headache and stomach ache. I went into the store with high expectations due to Dean&David's high expectations, but unfortunately they didn't achieve this in terms of taste, decoration, or variety. I am very disappointed, especially since I don't have any food intolerances and my complaints are due to the inadequate quality. I am very disappointed and even though I may be an isolated case, I would advise against buying it. I'm very happy that I didn't have to pay full price for this experience. Dean and David ist für mich jedes Mal auf neue das beste Erlebnis, meine Pausen verbringe ich jeden Tag dort. Vom Empfang bis hin zum Geschmack ist es top. Das Personal ist immer gut gelaunt und zuvorkommend. Hier ist für jedermann etwas dabei, vegan, vegetarisch, glutenfrei und vieles mehr, die Gerichte werden frisch zubereitet und aktualisiert. Ich war schon oft bei vielen Dean and David laden Aber der hat mich richtig umgehauen. Ein richtiger gemütlicher großer dean&david auf Restaurant Feeling. Kann ich jedem empfehlen in Dortmund bei der Thier Galerie neben den Ruhr Nachrichten vorbei zu schauen und die Leckereien zu genießen. Voralpen auch Abends und auch an Wochenenden zu genießen;)

Ich habe Caesar Salat gegessen muss ehrlich sagen für das bisschen Salat über 12 Euro zu bezahlen war echt teuer auch wenn man 2 kleine leckere brotschnitten dazu bekommt.

Ich habe gerade am Bahnhof in Karlsruhe ein Cesars Wrap gekauft . Stimmt das Ambiente ist gut, sieht alles lecker aus, die Bedienung war freundlich.Das stimmte alles! Der Wrap bestand zu 85 Prozent aus Eisbergsalat, 5 Prozent Hähnchenwürfel,die hart waren, der Rest wie beschrieben , aber nicht nennenswert. Der Wrap war so eng mit dem Papier verbunden , dass es kaum zu lösen war, unten so stark eingerollt , dass 20 Prozent in der Tonne landeten .Der Teigwar so aufgeweicht , dass er klebte Das fand ich alles sehr schade …..

Das essen schmeckt super und personal ist zu krass sehr zuvorkommend

Die Salate sind einfach lecker. Noch nie einen besseren Caesar Salad gegessen.

Wir haben uns gerade zwei Veggie Bowls zum mitnehmen gekauft. Müssten daheim feststellen, dass die Bestandteile der Bowl anders waren. Es fehlte z.B. Quinoa und bedauerlicherweise war weißer Reis statt Vollkornreis in der Bowl. Ein Hinweis wäre prima gewesen, dann hätte man seine Bestellung überdenken können. Sehr ärgerlich... Geschmacklich war es aber wie immer gut.

Personal quatscht in der Küche statt zu bedienen. Wir sind wieder gegangen.

We were there on Saturday afternoon and the girl behind the counter was very unfriendly. We ordered two bowls and a sandwich. The sandwich was terrible, the bread was so hard it was not possible to eat it. So they gave us a wrap for free but that was also not good at all. Our bowls were also very dry and not very tasty. It was all a bit disappointing for the price we paid.

Gerade bei dem Thema Salat sehr positiv überrascht. Immer super frisch und lecker. Portionen vom Preisleistungsverhältnis auch top. Mitarbeiter*innen waren immer sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Von Lieferando bestellt gefühlt 2 Stunden gewartet. Der Lieferant kommt mit einer schlechten Laune was mir schon mit der Warte Zeit gereicht hat. Das Essen ist auf jeden Fall eine Geschmacks Sache mir hat das Essen garnicht gefallen mir war es absolut nicht gut. Nicht zum empfehlen wenn es ums bestellen geht die Preise sind mir zu hoch da erwarte ich eine bessere Lieferung und das Essen muss schmecken. Fazit nicht empfehlenswert in meinen Augen.

Es lohnt sich auf jeden Fall! Die Bowls sind super lecker und man merkt, dass die einzelnen Zutaten passend zueinander ausgewählt wurden. Die Bowls kommen als Basis mit einem Mix aus Reis und Quinoa sowie Salat und einem Dressing. Das Dressing würde ich beim nächsten Besuch vor der Bestellung nachfragen, da die Crispy Chicken Bowl ein Senf-Honig-Dressing hatte, was vielleicht nicht jedem schmeckt. Die Gerichte sind mit einem Aufpreis von 2€ mit einer leckeren Fleischalternative (planted.chicken) wählbar und natürlich gibt es auch Veggie Gerichte an sich. Dafür kann man seinen Kaffee ohne Aufpreis mit Haferdrink bestellen. Es gibt mehrere vegane Süßspeisen, sowie einen kleinen Kaffee Point mit Zucker, Löffeln, etc. und man bekommt bei z.B. einem Cappuccino ein kleines Stück Kuchen dabei. Man bestellt sein Essen, bezahlt und bekommt ein Gerät mit welches piept, wenn das Essen zum abholen bereit ist. Das Restaurant wirkte sauber und hygienisch, sowie die Toiletten. Es gab leider nur wenige Sitzmöglichkeiten die ohne Barriere zu erreichen waren, davon war nur eine kein Hochstuhl. Die Toiletten sind nur über eine Treppe erreichbar. War super lecker. Ich komme bestimmt wieder.

Sowas freches und inkompetentes hab ich noch nie in mein Leben gesehen wenn man für die Dastonomie nicht geschaffen ist , dann sollte man auch da nicht arbeiten.

Aus meiner Sicht als Personaltrainer und Ernährungswissenschaftler sage Ich Euch... DANKE , dass es Euch gibt ! Hier bekommt man in einem wunderschönen Umfeld Alles was der Körper und die Seele brauchen. Alles gute hier auf zu Listen wäre zuviel Text....kurz gesagt...mega Idee...mega Laden ...RICHTIGE Nahrung und das in verdammt lecker . Bis zum nächsten Mal!

Ich esse regelmäßig in diesem kleinen Laden. Es ist natürlich Systemgastronomie, dennoch sind die Mitarbeiter allesamt freundlich und das Essen ist stets frisch und lecker.

Sehr enttäuschender Besuch. Um 17:30 sind diverse Gerichte nicht mehr zu bekommen. Andere stehen zwar im Netz auf der Speisekarte, werden aber gar nicht erst angeboten. Für Leute die Salat lieben mag der Laden okay sein. Für Menschen die gerne herzhaft essen und satt werden möchten definitiv nicht zu empfehlen.

Wir sitzen hier gerade etwas des Mainstreams der Fußgängerzone eine Straße weiter. Hier ist daher wenig los was den Kundenverkehr angeht. Sehr angenehm, um mal Pause zu machen. Leider ist es aber von der Theke her gerade etwas lauter, weil aufgeräumt wird und es ordentlich durch den Raum hallt. Getränke und Essen sind wir gewohnt lecker. Heute hat uns bei den Wraps nur etwas Sauce gefehlt. Die Preise sind okay.
