Centrally located hotel with a good breakfast, small vegan buffet available, very clean but somehow also sterile...unfortunately no body lotion left...I was expecting that, like a kettle...there's a parking garage belonging to the hotel, but a little further on there's a much cheaper one...instead of €24/day, it's €5-10/day....

The decor is a bit dated but cozy. The staff is absolutely top-notch and superbly trained. No matter how many guests there are, there's no rush or panic. What one person doesn't see or do, another takes care of. No one tries to be the star. The staff is very friendly. The food is excellent. We chose this hotel for our visit to Halle and booked three rooms. The hotel is centrally located, making it ideal for exploring the city on foot. The reception was very friendly and answered all our questions. There were five of us, and we had two comfort rooms and one superior room. The rooms are a good size, especially the superior room, which offers plenty of space. I think the decor suits the city of Halle, and we immediately felt at home. The cleanliness of the rooms, as well as the entire hotel, was remarkable – a definite plus. The beds are sufficiently large, and the mattresses are of very good quality; all three generations of us slept very well after a long day of sightseeing. There was no noticeable noise from either the street or the courtyard. The rooms are furnished with seating and tables. In addition, there is a safe, a laptop safe with a power outlet, a refrigerator, a flat-screen TV, a coffee machine, a hairdryer, and a bottle of water. There was also a lovely little gift, very Halle-style. Thank you :-) The breakfast left nothing to be desired and offered everything we needed. The staff were all very friendly and absolutely service-oriented. That's exactly what you want from a hotel owner and, of course, from a guest. We only briefly looked at the gym and spa area, but unfortunately, due to lack of time, we weren't able to use them. However, these facilities also looked well-maintained and inviting. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would like to thank the entire team again for their outstanding hospitality.

The hotel is showing its age. Carpet in the room and no walk-in shower are simply outdated, especially for this price. That alone could be excused, but I could hear a generator humming in my room all night, making sleep impossible! This was only surpassed by the ice-cold water in the shower, which didn't get a single degree warmer even after 10 minutes! Of course, you could say I could have changed rooms, but after a 14-hour day and returning to my room at 11 p.m., I really didn't feel like moving.

A very friendly welcome, we immediately felt at home. The room was very nicely furnished. The hotel staff were, without exception, very helpful and friendly. My sister was even served a platter of birthday cake and a glass of sparkling wine in the evening. As always, everything was great.

I'm currently staying at the Dorint Hotel, and all the staff are very friendly. I'm here as a bus driver with a group, and they've reserved the bus parking space for me, which is very rare. Some hotels send you away, and you can either walk to the hotel or, if it's too far, take a taxi. The room, everything, is very clean. I feel really comfortable here and can prepare for the next day in peace. Thank you very much for that.

An inconspicuous building near the main train station pleasantly surprised me. At first, I was a bit skeptical about the dated interior. The excellent service, the super-friendly staff, and the friendly welcome put me at ease. The fitness room is very manageable but easy to use. Only the sliding beds on the laminate flooring were a bit odd. Halle is worth a visit.

Yes, the immediate area has probably declined in recent years...a creepily empty shopping center across the street, but cheap parking there.

The hotel's central location means many destinations and attractions can be reached quickly and easily on foot, and Halle's public transportation network is also easy to use. However, in my opinion, the hotel's price for the breakfast buffet is significantly too high. There are various cafes in the city offering excellent value for money.

The hotel has passed its glory, the basic room is an ordinary room. Breakfast at the very top with a view but the choice and type of food - nothing special. The price is not adequate to the quality.

Well-equipped, upper class 4*, breakfast from 6.30 a.m., 5 minutes to the pedestrian zone, allergy sufferers get specially designed rooms. We had plenty of space and even a small balcony for 2 people on the 4th floor, parking nearby for 15 euros a day in the DB parking garage

Wir sind auf dieses Restaurant durch einen Beitrag in den sozialen Medien aufmerksam geworden und wollten die Küche unbedingt testen. Bei einem Hotelrestaurant denkt man ja erst einmal, dass dieses den Übernachtungsgästen vorbehalten ist, aber auch wir als "Einheimische" wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Die Auswahl an Speisen war sehr gut, so dass wir sofort unsere Favoriten gefunden haben. Nachfragen dazu wurden kompetent beantwortet und kleine Umbestellungen waren kein Problem. Auch die Getränkeauswahl war sehr umfangreich mit einer gelungenen Auswahl an Weinen, die uns durch die Mitarbeiterin vorgestellt und empfohlen wurden. Alles in allem ein sehr gelungener Abend mit leckeren Speisen und tollen Mitarbeitern! Wir werden auf jeden Fall wiederkommen, denn wir möchten beim nächsten Mal auf jeden Fall das schöne Ambiente auf der Terrasse im Innenhof genießen! Bei diesem Besuch war es uns noch ein wenig zu kalt.

The rooms are very old but well maintained. The entire staff is very competent and friendly. The breakfast buffet leaves almost nothing to be desired.

Top hotel in the heart of Halle, from where you can start to restaurants and sights.

I only know the hotel and the restaurant from a conference. From this point of view it is absolutely recommended. The rooms are wonderfully suitable for workshops and similar events. The arrangements are perfect and everything works out afterwards, the food during breaks is delicious and varied, and the service is simply excellent. Even if we spontaneously had a special request, it was implemented. This makes everything very straightforward from an organizational perspective. The great view over Halle is free!

The bathrooms are a shame. Showering in the bathtub is no longer fashionable and getting out is anything but comfortable. The friendly and helpful staff makes up for it.

Well...it's pretty dated. The hotel has a bad air quality. Breakfast had everything you could possibly need, but it wasn't particularly tasty and everything was very poorly presented: juice was far too sweet and artificial, butter was still frozen, and rolls were half-baked and not good. You shouldn't use the hotel parking entrance; it's far too expensive. It's better to use the Charlottencenter entrance, which is the same parking garage.

A good base for exploring Halle. Very quiet and clean rooms. Very friendly and accommodating staff. Delicious, varied breakfast buffet in a pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommended.

I can recommend the Dorint. Even though it seems to be showing its age, the staff is great, always attentive to guests, and very friendly. Nothing seems to be a problem. The breakfast is definitely very good.

For my birthday, a table for four people was booked for 6 p.m.! The restaurant was occupied by 10 people! Ms. Lea Samoswanow was our server! The drinks arrived at 6:45 p.m. and the selected dishes for four people at 7:15 p.m.! The dishes were very well presented and would have tasted excellent - if they hadn't been so cold, we assumed the food had been sitting in the kitchen for too long or had been forgotten to be brought! Although we can't understand that when there were only four of us and six other guests in the entire restaurant! Ultimately, though, it was a lovely birthday evening with a slightly bitter aftertaste! This comment isn't meant to be a criticism of the person, but rather as a reminder for the future that if you wait around 80 minutes for your food, it might as well be served nice and warm!

The hotel is seriously dated; the furniture is at least 30-40 years old. Any budget hotel would look nicer. The view was of an inner courtyard, with a lot of broken trash and flower pots in front of the window—it could use some cleaning. The staff was very nice, though.

Nice older hotel and very, very friendly staff! The furnishings are standard 90s, but everything is still very well maintained. Unfortunately there is no body lotion in the room and during trade fair times it is very overpriced at 200 euros per night. Then the price-performance ratio is no longer quite right. Beds OK, not too soft or too hard. Breakfast has everything, from fish to fried eggs. A few minutes walk from the main train station, but at the end there are quite long stairs up to the hotel. The area is on the edge of the old town and you can reach everything quickly, but the area around the train station is a bit spooky in the evenings. All in all, a solid 4 stars.

I was there for 1 week. One of the best hotels I've ever stayed in. I didn't miss anything. Comfortable beds, nice staff, everything very clean. The food there is also great! When I'm back in Halle, I just want to live there.

Despite the comfort room, I didn't sleep well. Breakfast was very tasty, everything was included.

A hotel that has become old over time. Nevertheless, everything is very clean and intact. The bed is very low and the mattresses are very hard. The bathtub in the bathroom could be replaced with a walk-in shower. Would be contemporary and easier to use for older people and people with disabilities. With one exception, the staff was courteous and helpful. Unfortunately, I have to mention it, although I have now read that the certain lady in the breakfast room has been allowed to do whatever she wants for years without experiencing any consequences. She changes her tone, rolls her eyes and then comes across as calculating and ironic. She spoke to me rudely and harshly on an empty stomach, so that I immediately lost my appetite. Acted innocent when I confronted her about her misconduct. She had also previously treated our fellow travelers rudely at the buffet. A lady from the next table came to me and tried to comfort me and told me that she always had this behavior and was unteachable. While I continued to sit in front of my empty seat, otherwise every bite would have stuck in my throat, the waitress in question kept walking past our table with a ridiculous grin. The arrogant friendliness that she suddenly exuded was more than an act. At some point she spoke to my father-in-law and said she didn't mean it that way. SORRY!! But not even the courage to turn to the person who hurt her and made her cry with their behavior. At the reception it turned out that the problem was known but nothing further happened, even after a conversation. Too bad. So our family weekend had a very bitter end! I would have liked to give the hotel more stars but after this experience the Dorint Hotel in Halle is unfortunately history for us.

Everything OK. I'm often there and enjoy being there... Unfortunately, here too and like in most hotels, the prices continue to rise. Underground parking and breakfast are added to the basic price.

Price-performance ratio not appropriate. On Sundays there is no cleaning and restaurant opening times are shortened...but breakfast is quite decent.

Not a 4 star superior, very outdated, everything clean, no question, but no cream on the soap, no labeling on the ingredients, plastic trash can and very old bathroom towels also very worn. Breakfast was okay but not as expected for this category, for example. I was missing a selection of bread rolls in the grain area. No pretzel, no omelette, Birchler muesli not available. Reception very nice and the staff in the restaurant too.

Accommodation within the back college! Great service, all the employees were very friendly and always had a smile!! You were also addressed personally! I found it very good! We stayed 4 nights in this hotel and had breakfast. If we had to choose a hotel in the area again, we would go back without hesitation!

I recently spent three weeks with you so I was able to get a clear picture. The room was very clean and the beds were very comfortable. The warm dinner, which was available almost every evening, was very tasty and always beautifully prepared. The staff was always very friendly and helpful. Now I come to the actual point of why I am writing this report. On a few days I or we as a group were served by a certain lady whose name I don't want to mention here. At the beginning I noticed that she didn't always treat her trainees well. But then she sometimes took her bad mood out on us. At times she treated us like second-class citizens and made us feel like we weren't wanted. It happened that my counterpart accidentally ordered the wrong food. When my counterpart corrected this, the lady rolled her eyes so much that I have never seen such an angry look in a restaurant. On days when there was a snack break, I avoided going to the buffet when this lady was around. I could give a few more examples, but that would go beyond the scope. On the last day we were asked how we liked our stay and the whole group commented negatively on this person. We learned that there have been complaints for a long time and that we are not the only ones giving this feedback. There are said to have already been conversations with this person. Apparently without success. It doesn't seem to have any significant consequences for this lady, otherwise she wouldn't behave like that. Since the problem has been known for so long, I can only give the hotel 3 stars, even though everything else was perfect.

Very good service and nice rooms

Small hotel from the Dorint chain near the main station. Very friendly staff. Facilities and furnishings are getting old, but nicely maintained. It was noisy from the outside at times in the evenings, as it is a popular gathering place for young people, there is a sports bar right downstairs and a cinema right across the street.

I was a guest at the Charlottenhof in mid-February and was completely thrilled. Everything radiates peace and sophistication; what should be highlighted is the extreme warmth, politeness, courteousness and professionalism of all employees from arrival to farewell, through the reception for breakfast, the service during breakfast and also in the evening at the bar for a nightcap. I really enjoyed the entire stay, felt pampered and will come back anytime. Also worth highlighting is the breakfast, which leaves nothing to be desired; a buffet is offered that is second to none. A smaller, separate vegan buffet is also appealing. I'm not vegan, but I think that's worth mentioning. I thank you for the wonderful time with you and recommend you with deep conviction. Hopefully see you again soon!

If anyone is wondering about the many good reviews here: I wrote a negative review including a review a long time ago. I recently received an email from a lawyer claiming I was never there. I had to provide proof that I was actually a guest within 10 days or my review would be deleted. It's good that I still had confirmation after two years (!). The Dorint seems to be specifically trying to have negative reviews deleted. Unfortunately, this confirms my impression of the business practices of this company at the time. Maybe Dorint should invest its money in its own infrastructure and employee training instead of in reputation management, then the reviews will also be better.

We had a seminar here. The premises, the food and the service were great.

Very centrally located for our purpose, staff super nice, breakfast was very tasty with a large selection. The rooms are clean. The bed was very comfortable. Points are deducted for the equipment. Everything is getting really old. The socket at the bed was not German. Charging my cell phone in bed was only possible by removing the cable from the bedside lamp.

Das Hotel verfügt über Tagungsräume und bietet somit die Möglichkeit, Geschäftstreffen oder Konferenzen abzuhalten. Das Zimmer ist altmodisch aber sauber. Parken ist sehr teuer, deswegen empfehle ich nebenan den Charlotten Center. Das Hotel ist zentral. Das Frühstück & Mittagessen war in Ordnung.

Nettes Hotel. Wir waren im extra Gebäude ruhig im DG untergebracht. Zum Frühstück ging es über den Hof. Gute Zimmerausstattung alles frisch und neu. Ausreichend groß. Tolle Badewanne. Wasserkocher für Tee und Kaffee vorhanden. Kein Kühlschrank. Es fehlten lediglich Gardrobenhaken, um feuchte Jacken nicht in den Schrank hängen zu müssen. Frühstück war ausgezeichnet. Parkplätze sind nur wenige vorhanden. Jedoch in der Nähe ist das Parkhaus vom Hbf zu nutzen, was sogar günstiger und neu und frisch ist. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir hatten einen angenehmen Aufenthalt und kommen gerne wieder.

Super zufrieden! Sehr nettes und zuvorkommendes Personal. Zimmer einwandfrei und selbst mit Zustellbett sehr geräumig. Gerne wieder.
