Dorfgasthaus Sonne in Oberkirch

We were completely satisfied with our stay. Our room request was accommodated. We ate wonderfully at the Pfauen. The marinated wild hare leg and the trio of desserts were delicious. There are real chefs at the stove there.

Quiet, plenty of parking, The rooms are very dated, but there are apparently some renovated ones. You can overlook all of that, but what I find consistently unacceptable is that the window is open and the room is cold upon arrival. It doesn't bother me much, but if my girlfriend were with me, that would be the end of it. Furthermore, the towels are frayed and consistently musty, so much so that you might as well shower again immediately after using the shower. I stay in hotels all year round. I've been in the area for seven weeks now, staying in a different hotel in this price range every week, and I definitely had to give this one a negative review. Yes, there are renovated rooms, and the fact that I didn't have one isn't really my issue, but the circumstances described justify this rating! In response to the hotel's reply, I didn't complain about the price, but rather about the condition of the room as described. Furthermore, the fact that it wasn't a renovated room was in no way a criticism!

The Springbrunnen restaurant is a true gem of fine dining and fully deserves its Michelin stars. 🌟 The cuisine is of the highest standard – absolutely outstanding in both taste and quality. Every plate is a small work of art that delights not only the senses but also the heart. We have been here many times, and each time it is a special experience. ✨ The service is attentive and warm, the atmosphere stylish yet inviting. A visit to the Springbrunnen is always memorable – for us, a 5-star restaurant, and even more. We will be back
