Döner Bazar in Porta Westfalica

I read in a review that it tastes exactly like Irem Döner in Hausberge. Since November 1st, 2025, the owner has changed in Hausberge and it's now called Porta Grill. The advertising will be ready in the next few days. Döner Bazar in Vennebeck and Porta Grillhaus in Hausberge are not affiliated. We, the Bedlek family, who operated under the name Döner Bazar since 1999, are now only the landlords of both locations and would like to thank all our customers who supported us until last year and remained loyal. You can still find the original Döner Bazar in Bückeburg at the Obi hardware store.

My first Google review because it's simply necessary!! The place has unfortunately gone downhill since the boss left. The employees pick food out of their mouths with their fingers while preparing orders and prepare the food at the same time. They're also playing with their beards; I just had beard hairs in the sauce when opening the doner kebab. I'll add pictures! I ordered a chicken doner, and they originally packed a small amount of meat into the doner (50g at most), and the rest was just salad! I asked the employees why there was so little meat, since I didn't order a veggie doner, and they just grinned and added two more small pieces on top. And to further express their displeasure with the aforementioned mistake, they poured what felt like half a bottle of sauce on it 😂 Last time I was there! Definitely not recommended anymore ✌️ €7.50 straight into the bin, thanks for that 👌

It was our first time there. Even though it was very busy, the service was quick and we didn't have to wait long for our food. The staff were all friendly. What's great is that they serve a lot of sauce with the fries, which is unfortunately rare in many places. The doner kebab was nicely filled, and the sauces were amazing. The tzatziki and the spicy sauce went very well together. It's definitely worth getting your food there.

We'd heard it's supposed to be really good here. So we thought we'd just drive from Bielefeld to Porta for a kebab. We weren't disappointed! Good bread, juicy veal, and the sauces were among the best! Finally, a spicy sauce that deserves its name. You won't find anything like it in Bielefeld! We'll be going to Porta more often now, just for the truly excellent kebab!!! Keep it up, guys!👍👏👏👏👏👏👏

Hmm. Reading the reviews from the last few months since the change of ownership, I now understand why we've had bad luck with the food too – unfortunately, it seems to have been pretty "normal" since then. Our kebab wasn't as tasty as it used to be (back then it was so, so delicious!!!), and it was kind of gristly, and the fries didn't even come with sauce, but rather a cheap little packet. If McDonald's wants fries, I'll go there – at a decent snack bar, I expect ketchup or mayo ON my fries!!! When they took over, they said they'd trained and the quality would remain the same. Sorry, no!

Loveless and tasteless kebab, really not comparable to the old one, it has become just as bad as Irem Döner in Schalksburg, in Porta you don't need to buy kebab anymore.

Such a shame! It used to be a mega kebab shop. Now it's more of a crappy snack bar. For a LARGE fries, you get a mini bag of mayo or ketchup included!!! Nothing on top. Extra trash, and each bag costs 0.30 cents. Cheeky. Supposedly because of hygiene. Logical... if you sell little, your turnover is lower, and otherwise you'd have to throw away the buckets. Clear proof that the shop isn't doing so well with the new owner... after all, the employees didn't leave for nothing... And with us, definitely customers. Such a shame.

I recommend a different shop. It doesn't taste good at all, and you have to search for the meat on a kebab. NOT RECOMMENDED

I will never eat at this kebab shop again and I prefer to cook something myself instead of eating half raw meat. There is far too little meat and far too much salad. I would not recommend it anymore. I would recommend other shops. The old owner was better.

Pros are Quick access available parking clean inside. Stopped by for good reviews. Cons: lower quality meat and durum. At least my durum had quite disgusting taste. Ready made supermarket durum served without even reheating. I travel a lot so usually eat in many different places. Unfortunately not a good memory here.

Inedible after the change of ownership!! I was in bed for 3 days with chills and fever. Got stomach poisoning for the first time in my life! How can someone run such a good place into the ground with bad food? I'm considering filing a complaint for assault! My brother-in-law, as luck would have it, had the same fate a day later!

The bun is fresh and crispy, and the chicken is of good quality. The price is very reasonable at 6 euros. I recommend it!

I always pull off the highway to grab a kebab here. The food is delicious, the proportions are perfect, and the prices are lower than in Poland. The staff are super friendly. You can drive a large car and park in the Penny parking lot next door.

We come from Hanover and didn't know the business. Unfortunately the decor and ambience was very takeaway. Chairs are broken. The taste was rather weak, the dressing didn't appeal to me and unfortunately the meat didn't either. Another negative point is that it was served on disposable dishes. All in all it was just ok, but definitely too expensive for the ambience offered. Too bad

Unfortunately it has worn off a lot! A pity. Eaten there WEEKLY so far. The Lamachun dough is different, totally floury on the outside and smaller too! Even if requested, far too little sauce! The taste is still good due to the delicious sauce, but it's no use if there is so little. What a pity!

Das ist mit Abstand der beste Döner bazar denn ich kenne ! Kein Döner schmeckt leckerer als von euch !

3 Spieße vor Ort, 2 mit Kalbfleisch und ein Hähnchen. Ein Kalbfleischspiess gross und einer klein. Ich habe vom kleineren Spieß bekommen und das Fleisch war nicht wie gewohnt saftig. Dennoch gut zu empfehlen.

Der Laden hat gute Mitarbeiter, die Preise sind sehr gut für das was man serviert bekommt. Das Hänchen und Kalb Fleisch sehr Lecker, die Salate alle frisch, kann man nix gegen sagen. Einfach ein super Laden mit sehe leckerem Essen!
