Very good food in a beautiful atmosphere. In the restaurant itself there are individual houses or a grotto set up in which you sit, giving you your own space. That alone is worth a visit. The food tastes really good. We had shrimp cocktail as a starter. This one isn't particularly cheap, but it's absolutely worth the price! The rump steak in pepper sauce is also recommended, perfectly fried and the sauce tastes homemade.

I've been going there every now and then for probably 40 years and it's always delicious and the service is attentive.

We've eaten here with friends several times and we've always been completely happy afterwards 😄 The selection of food is fantastic and we always enjoyed it. Of course, convenience food is also served here (unfortunately), but even that tastes good. The ambience has remained, good service too, prices have unfortunately gone up a bit (where not 🤷🏼‍♀️) and the portions have unfortunately also become smaller.

We have been coming here every now and then since the 1980s and have not been disappointed to this day. The food was once again super tasty and the service was very, very friendly! It's always nice to see how the little houses and caves fit together and offer a beautiful atmosphere like in the countries bordering the Danube!

I'm always surprised at what unique restaurants there are in the valley. A shop that I didn't know before. Here you can sit in small huts with your people. You are for yourself. Lovely decorated. The waiters know how to do the job. Always a good saying in stock. Great. But the kitchen also knows how to do it. There were 8 of us and the food was all sent out at the same time and hot. Very good in terms of taste and craftsmanship. A very large menu leaves nothing to be desired. I was fed up.

The food is great, there is plenty of choice for every taste. The place is a bit old, the buildings are positive, it's private, the acoustics are good and you are among yourself. Prices are normal. There were nine of us and sometimes we had to wait longer until someone asked if we could have anything else (drinks). We're going to have a family meal there again.

We were back in the Donau Stuben after a very long time and were overall very satisfied. The service was very attentive and friendly 👍 The atmosphere was good, middle-class and very cozy. You can have a good conversation, not loud at all (like in many other restaurants) The food was good, but there is some room for improvement. A great atmosphere. Service nice and friendly. But the food was far from tasty. Had a Yugoslavian grill plate and was very far away from the grill plate. Zero taste. Sorry for the price, it doesn't work at all. Probably won't go back again.

Nostalgia meets enthusiasm. The Donau Stuben have actually been around for a very, very long time. I knew the restaurant as a child (when Google reviews hadn't been invented yet 😉) It was great back then and hasn't changed much, but still super clean and well maintained! Totally iconic, in my opinion. It was quite full (which speaks for the quality), so the service and the food took a little longer. But everyone was extremely satisfied with the food. Thanks to the small houses, caves and small corners, you are among yourself and have peace and a totally cozy atmosphere. Highly Recommended.

The restaurant is the same as it was 30 years ago, nothing has changed. The food is mainly made from convenience products, which is not surprising nor feasible given the variety of dishes and the speed at which the food is served. Here less would be more.

Das war das aller letzte! Ich empfehle jeden der mit Kinder hin gehen möchte nicht mehr hin zu gehen! Kinder sind dank diesem Kellner nicht erwünscht!

Totally 80s! Ambiance, food, service - everything is wonderfully old-fashioned. The interior designer who was responsible for this at the time must have been a big Märklin fan, albeit in XXXL scale. Cute little houses, uninhibited indulgence in meat, wonderfully incorrect food names ("Funny Bosniak") - this shop belongs under monument protection. And it tastes good too.

Totally rustic, lots of little huts and caves. It's nice to sit alone. Food was ok. Price wise too. Staff friendly and prompt without being intrusive. I found it relaxing to eat there.

Wir waren nach einigen Jahren Auszeit ( ohne ersichtlichen Grund 😅 ) mal wieder dort. Es ist eindeutig das gemütlichste Restaurant was ich kenne. Die Einrichtung besteht aus kleinen sehr Uriegen Hütten und auch ein paar Höhlen, was wirklich etwas besonderes ist. Das Essen ist immer noch sehr gut und auch bezahlbar. Die Bedienung war extrem aufmerksam und wir hatten einen schönen Abend. Damals wie heute lohnt sich ein Besuch 😊.

Seit über dreißig Jahren gehe ich dort essen. Ich hab in all den Jahren es nicht einmal bereut!!!

Für mich eins der besten Restaurants in Wuppertal. Preisleistung, Service und das Essen top. Vorspeise, Hauptgericht und Nachspeise wie immer alles perfekt. Ein riesen Lob an Küche und an die Bedienung.

Essen gut aber für 16 Euro bißchen. Zu wenig wen ich bedenke das ein schnitzel regulär bei Lieferanten 8 Euro kostet bekomme ich bei Lieferando 2 schnitzel für den Preis hätte mir für 16 Euro mehr erhofft zb zwei schnitzel für 16 dan wäre der Preis ok ziemlich überteuert doe Preise muss ich sage. Sorry bin nur ehrlich

Schönes Restaurant mit einer sehr schönen Atmosphäre. Es gibt Nischen, Höhlen, Fässer und vieles mehr. In denen sitzt sehr gemütlich und ein bißchen privat versteckt. Wenn mann was möchte und der Kelner nicht in der Nähe ist, kann man klingeln. Die Bedienung ist sehr nett und auch schnell. Das Essen schmeckt lecker 😋 und ist reichlich. Einen Stern ziehe ich ab, weil mir es zu viele Champions und zu wenig Fleisch war. Heute am 25.12 waren wir wieder da und wurden nicht enttäuscht.

Das erste mal hier gewesen und ich war positiv überrascht! Die Bilder können das Restaurant nicht wiedergeben. Es ist urig, verwinkelt, charakterlich einzigartig! Ich hatte das Schnitzel, welches sehr dünn und sehr gut souffliert war ! Mein Mann hatte den Grillteller. Wir waren sehr sehr glücklich mit unserer Wahl und werden definitiv wieder kommen! Die Kellner waren aufmerksam, freundlich und zuvorkommend! Man muss auf jedenfall mal hier gewesen sein!!

Sehr leckeres und gutes Essen zu fairen Preisen. Sehr freundliches und aufmerksames Personal. Es gibt verschiebene Bereiche, in denen man sitzen kann...wie z.B. kleine Höhlen, Hütten....oder ein kleines Weinfass. Es ist auf jeden Fall mal einen Besuch wert.

Der Service war super. Hacksteak sehr zu empfehlen, lecker gewürzt. Das Schnitzel Boston also sehr exotisch mit Ananas gefüllt und Currysauce war leider etwas vorsichtig gewürzt bzw. wenig Geschmack.

Der Grillteller top auch preislich.. aber für ein normales Restaurant ist es schon hochpreisig für ein Latte Macchiato 4,70€ / 1 Kugel Mousse au Chocolate mit ein bisschen Deko 9€ oder das angebliche Vanille Eis mit heißen Kirchen für 6,90€ wobei der Preis selbst okay war.. nur das Eis hat nach nichts geschmeckt 😱.. Fazit.. für den Grillteller kann man hingehen.. aber auch nur dafür, Nachtisch ist leider auch preislich ein no go..

Leider sehr enttäuschend. Denn auf dem Grillteller gab es auch 1 gebratenes Schnitzel. Kleiner Grillspieß viel zu weit durch, somit hart. Allgemein alle Speisen kaum gewürzt. Ebenso wurden bei Gericht mit 3 Kottelett dann 3 Schnitzel serviert. Kellnerin etwas durcheinander..Denn sie kennt den Preis für Cola 0,4 nicht und berechnete anstatt 4,30€ laut Karte dann 4,80€. Das Lokal ist auch beim Ambiente in den 80er Jahren stehengeblieben. Ich kann es nicht empfehlen

Es ist mittlerweile unser Lieblings Restaurant geworden, Essen top ,Personal sehr nett und freundlich. Preislich ist auch sehr gut, wir sind immer sehr zufrieden. Familie Jürgens

Auch nach Jahren immer wieder sehr lecker. Von der Cocktailkarte ist der Swimmingpool sehr zu empfehlen.

Wir waren heute zum Geburtstag meines Mannes dort zum Abendessen mit 6 Personen. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Das Essen war sehr gut und frisch zubereitet. Es war gut, dass wir schon vor 14 Tagen einen Tisch reserviert hatten, denn das Lokal war bis auf den letzten Platz besetzt. Dementsprechend war auch die Wartezeit auf unser Essen von 60 Minuten angemessen. Das Preis/Leistungverhältnis völlig okay, bei den Portionen. Wir hatten 1x Rumpsteak mit Pfeffer und Kroketten, 1x Boston Schnitzel mit Pommes, 1x Sophia Spieß mit Pommes und Reis, 1x Cordon Bleu mit Kroketten, 1x Rotbarschfilet mit Salzkartoffeln, 1x Schweinesteak mit Pfeffer und Kroketten. Wir waren alle sehr begeistert und wirklich satt. Ein erneuter Besuch steht schon in Planung.

Wir waren heute mit 6 Personen in den Stuben und hatten schon 14 Tage vorher telefonisch reserviert. Nach kurzem Warten wurden wir in das für uns reservierte Stübchen geführt. Die Bestellung der Getränke wurde recht schnell aufgenommen und auch relativ zügig gebracht. Auf unser Speisen mussten wir jedoch 60 Minuten ab Bestellung warten. (Aber! Das Lokal war auch sehr gut besucht und jeder Platz besetzt) Die Speisen waren alle sehr lecker und frisch zubereitet. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Zur Not gab es auch noch eine Klingel,die man im Notfall betätigen kann, um den Service zu rufen. Wir waren alle 6 Personen wirklich sehr begeistert und werden mit Sicherheit wieder kommen.

Gutes Restaurant viel Auswahl u immer wieder lecker.guter Service.
