The food is good, the service seems overwhelmed, and there are probably problems with communication. You could still write more about friendliness. Ambiance: overloaded and kitschy, unfortunately the backless benches quickly become uncomfortable.

The food at the restaurant was fresh, clean, and absolutely delicious. I was especially impressed by the Asian-inspired decor, which was designed and conceptualized by the owner herself. If you find yourself visiting this village, I highly recommend stopping by Doman Sushi—you’ll have an unforgettable experience, just like I did!

We went for sushi at Doman Restaurant on Christmas Day, and it was packed with diners. Naturally, we had to wait for our food, which didn’t bother me—it was completely understandable. The food at the restaurant was fresh and perfectly prepared. The waiters are attentive, diligent, and courteous to the customers.

We traveled to this small village and came across an excellent sushi restaurant. Even though it was a busy holiday, we waited patiently and politely for our food. The sushi was incredibly delicious, and the owner was exceptionally friendly!

During our Christmas holiday in Germany, we discovered a hidden gem, Doman Sushi, in a quaint village. Despite the holiday rush and a fully booked restaurant, we didn’t mind waiting for our dishes and drinks. The staff, mostly of Asian descent, might not have been fluent in German, but their warm smiles and dedication to serving every guest stood out. They remained friendly and enthusiastic, even when treated unfairly by some patrons. When our food arrived, it surpassed all expectations—the flavors were incredible, and the drinks unique. The wait was not only bearable but worthwhile, even compared to other German restaurants. We highly recommend Doman Sushi for a fantastic dining experience.

First of all: The food here is really delicious. Both the starters, the sushi and the curries are highly recommended. We have eaten there several times since the restaurant opened and unfortunately the service is really not good. Drinks arrive very late, no cutlery at the table when the food arrives and great difficulty redeeming vouchers and paying with separate bills are just a few of the many shortcomings. I can recommend picking up food more, but it was the last time here for us. Cold and hot dishes are packed together in one bag. This means summer rolls and sushi are already warm before you leave the store. If you have problems with the EC device, your questions will not be addressed. You are not treated properly either as a guest on site or as someone picking you up, so unfortunately, despite the great food, this is the last time for us after many attempts.

So I don't come here anymore. Everything takes forever. We waited half an hour for drinks and 1.5 hours for food.

We were there on Mother's Day and I have to say it was a pleasure! ☺️ Even my parents, who are very critical when it comes to food, were finally thrilled! Good service and great food. :) We'll definitely be back.

We have eaten here several times and are always thrilled with the food! However, there is still a lot of room for improvement when it comes to service. Drinks come to the table very late despite being ordered early, so if you have a request it is difficult to get attention. But the food is always great!

I can only agree with the other top reviews. The food was very tasty and high quality. The prices are fair, the rooms are very inviting. The service was very friendly and accommodating, all in all a great restaurant. We would love to come back, wish you all the best in Kibo for the future and would like to maintain the friendliness and quality of the food!

We ordered pickup from Doman. Despite the empty restaurant and the very early online order, the food was delayed by 30 minutes. When we finally had our food, we discovered that one dish had been forgotten. So we had to wait another 10 minutes and our lunch break was almost over. The service is also very difficult and communication is not easy. We also had to witness something very unsavory... the older lady who serves there every now and then took off her sock at one of the dining tables and scratched her foot... Shortly afterwards, guests came into the restaurant and she served them without washing her hands beforehand. The lady also had problems using the cash register, so an employee from the kitchen (perhaps the boss) came out and touched the cash register with the gloves he was wearing to cook. So the gloves become less important... After such a long wait for food, we were hardly hungry anyway, but this really spoiled our appetite.

The atmosphere is beautifully decorated and the food is excellent. The only deductions are in the service, as even though we were the only guests, the waitress rarely asked if we would like anything else. Overall, the restaurant is highly recommended and we will go there again :-)

Craziness! Simply delicious sushi at a fair price. Even people who are not familiar with sushi will receive excellent advice. The waiters make every effort to explain the dishes to you, both from a technical and a taste perspective. And to the Palatinate stinginess and village mentality: yes, it takes a while, but that's to be expected with excellent food!

The food is really tasty, prices are okay too. However, the service leaves a lot to be desired... Starter came at the same time as my friend's main course, half an hour later my main course? The service staff doesn't pay any attention to you at all and is sometimes a bit slow to understand. Generally you have to wait a long time to be served. In between, you don't ask if everything is okay or if you want to drink/eat something else. Happy to pick it up again, otherwise unfortunately not recommended.

We visited the sushi restaurant Doman for the first time last Saturday with our boys and their partners. Everyone was thrilled! The welcome and the short conversation with the owner were very warm and funny. The service team is extremely friendly. The dishes were excellent and everything was beautifully prepared and presented. These were real “feats of art” on the plates/platters or bowls. We are already looking forward to our next stop there.......

Delicious food, unfortunately drinks are always not possible, this was explained due to a lack of staff or that the ingredients were empty. That's too bad. (in the photo the drink was finally possible and the only time so far)

Quite perfect Asian restaurant!!!

We often eat at this restaurant. The food is good and tastes good, but there are a few criticisms about the service, among other things. Unfortunately, it has often happened that a dish is completely missing, you wait too long to be served, something comes wrong and the service staff is really very unsympathetic and also rude. If you ask him something, he either doesn't answer or acts as if he didn't hear it. I would like to report on two situations. We were there once, sat down outside, it started to rain, went in and wanted to open the window because it was really warm and stuffy, then the service person came and closed it again. We asked if he could please leave it open and he said no without giving any reasons. We then politely asked why not and said that we were very warm inside, then he simply stopped answering and just stared at us. This didn't change when we asked again. For us it was really a very strange and uncomfortable situation, just not getting an answer and being stared at. Another time we ordered something over the phone, I wanted the tuna to be left out of the sushi, then they said the sushi would be too small, then I said if they would just make more of the vegetables, then he did told me that he would then charge €1.50 extra. I really found that a bit strange, you could have left the church in the village, after all I decided not to eat the expensive fish. Of course I pay the same price, but an extra charge for a few more vegetables?! This rule probably only applies to customers, because the window was open at the table in front of the counter, where the employees/owners themselves sit. It's nice that customers are supposed to sweat and can hardly enjoy the food! Rules should have meaning!

Rudeness at the highest level - a disappointing visit to Doman restaurant I visited the Doman restaurant in Kirchheimbolanden today and unfortunately have to say that, despite the good food, the evening was an extremely unpleasant experience. While the cuisine was definitely convincing, the evening was completely ruined by the behavior of the waitress. After my additional drink didn't arrive after 15 minutes, I first wanted to politely ask another waitress where it was. But to my surprise, I was deliberately ignored - she simply walked past me without even looking at me. When I finally asked another waitress, I was reprimanded loudly and completely inappropriately in front of the other guests. The waitress rudely explained that there was too much to do and that other guests hadn't received anything yet - that's definitely not my responsibility! This behavior was not only embarrassing, but also completely unprofessional. Other guests, who also had to wait far too long, finally left the restaurant - apparently frustrated. The reaction of the waitress? A casual wave, as if she didn't care in the slightest. Conclusion: If you appreciate good food, but also value respectful and polite service, I think you should avoid Domo. It's a shame about the kitchen - but with such service, frustration is inevitable.

Chinese restaurant that lives up to its name. The mix between sushi and other Chinese dishes was particularly successful. It would be nice if there was a “mixed plate” with different meats and sauces.

Especially the H51 😃🫶🏻 The duck is a bit fatty, so Muscovy duck would be a better choice and should be included on the menu. Little idea: sesame balls as dessert would also be nice :) But the baked bananas with vanilla ice cream are also highly recommended! Sometimes you have to wait a bit if there are a lot of people on site BUT: otherwise there aren't long waiting times! But one more service staff would be an advantage, especially if a rush is foreseeable (Spring Awakening, Kibo Residence Festival).

The restaurant, which I visited for the second time today, is a real treasure for lovers of Japanese cuisine, especially for sushi enthusiasts. As soon as you enter the restaurant, you are greeted by a welcoming atmosphere that provides the perfect setting for an unforgettable culinary experience. Everything new and very well maintained. The boss is a very nice person and tries very hard to ensure that his guests are completely satisfied. Unfortunately he is alone in the service, but we were still very satisfied with the waiting time. The menu offers a great selection of traditional and modern sushi variations. Particularly noteworthy are the freshly prepared nigiri and sashimi, which are hard to beat in terms of quality and freshness. Every bite is a delight - especially the scallops. The ingredients are of the highest quality, which is reflected in every dish. The fish is buttery tender, the rice is perfectly seasoned and the side dishes are lovingly arranged. A particular highlight was the selection of special sushi rolls, which surprise with creative combinations and harmonious flavors. In summary, I highly recommend this Japanese restaurant. It is the ideal place for anyone who wants to enjoy authentic sushi of the highest quality. A visit is definitely worth it – both for connoisseurs and for those who want to rediscover Japanese cuisine.

That was the last visit to this store. Service, which one? Not even a smile on his face. It was very neutral. The table was not clean and there was no cutlery at our table. Other tables had cutlery on the table. After the appetizer was brought, I asked for cutlery. The entire meal (starter soup, main course noodles with chicken and vegetables and suchi) was not tasty! Everything with flavor enhancement. Every buffet (all you can eat) restaurant is 100x better! Even with drinks, mistakes are made! Only when the bill came did the waiter smile. He also didn't care that we didn't like the food. Never again!!!!

To make matters worse, the online site offers a 10% discount for those who collect it themselves, but you only get this 10% if you pay in cash. There is no discount for those who collect their items themselves and pay with their card. However, there is nothing about this on the website. Here people are probably happy about cash in the till, is this all stated?

This restaurant is in the main pedestrian area of the sleepy town of kirchheimbolanden. it is relatively easy to find and there is plenty of free parking in the park house that is close by. The atmosphere is quite cozy. The food is delicious. However, I am a bit critical of the Pho: it was missing some greens and some bean sprouts. I like my flavors intense, so I was a bit disappointed that they did not offer hoisin sauce, which is usually a standard for Vietnamese dishes. I do like the fact that they offer different types of house Iced teas and different cocktails. The service was quite a disappointment. When we arrived, it was barely full, and I had to get up to ask if someone could take our order. As the Restaurant got full, the service got even more slower. I wanted to take the rest of my food home but decided to just leave it and walk out because it took forever for them to wrap it up. If you order below €40 then it’s best to have cash since they only take cards for bills that are over that amount.

Went here spontaneously for lunch and there wasn't much going on. It was quick and everything was very tasty.

Nice atmosphere, very modern. Even without a reservation we got a place for two, but it was very crowded in the evening. Unfortunately the food wasn't very flavorful. I had asked my dish to be made vegan, since I had discomfort after eating it, I assume it wasn't vegan.

Curious about the relatively new restaurant, we wanted to give it a chance and were not disappointed. I was able to order my dish, the 21, with chicken instead of beef. At first I thought it was a "warm" dish, but apart from the warm meat it was more of a very tasty, not warm salad. The second dish, the 23, was warm and equally delicious. I'm curious to see if it's still delicious next time. The young man who served us was attentive and very friendly. The food came very quickly, but we were alone in the restaurant. The prices are largely okay. Annotation: I would like some of the dishes to be vegetarian without necessarily having to choose tofu. However, I think that wishes will be taken into account.

We went there for lunch for the first time today and were soooooooo excited! Very personable and friendly service, loving atmosphere and, above all, incredibly good authentic Asian cuisine. We had the sushi platter for two and the presentation alone was an experience! From now on, sushi will only be available here :-) Although we would also like to try the other dishes... Unfortunately I have to adjust my review negatively. We just drove an extra 30 minutes to Kibo to pick up sushi and now the door is closed on Wednesday. It says open on Google (confirmed by the owner just a week ago), as does the homepage and the order was also accepted online. Sorry, but that really doesn't work. Then please do not accept orders and write down the opening times correctly. 60 minutes of free car travel, super disappointing.

Delicious sushi in a very, very nice restaurant with a great ambience. There is a great selection on the menu, both starters and sushi. The restaurant is located in the pedestrian zone, but parking is possible within walking distance. The view of the square is beautiful. Since I came shortly after opening and it was empty, I would have liked to have been seated in a comfortable, nice place and not at the only single table in the last corner, just because I was alone. But that will certainly settle down :) Otherwise, the service was very nice, very attentive and quick. Card payment is possible. Overall very satisfied, great food that was very attractively presented. I felt very well. Price performance is very good!!

There is great and diverse sushi, which is always presented very attractively. The guest room is well designed and the toilets are clean. This location is absolutely recommended.

The selection is great, prices are great and the end product tastes simply breathtaking for the customer! Service: There aren't many employees, but they all do a great job! They are accommodating, kind, friendly, helpful and extremely attentive! (but not intrusive) You will be warmly welcomed and farewelled and given excellent advice even in stressful situations! Location: It is a small but beautifully located restaurant and absolutely cannot be compared with a snack bar! The restaurant is very attractive both from the outside and inside. The store is beautifully decorated to match the season and season! Everything is beautifully designed and invites you to eat/drink straight away! In conclusion, my partner and I can say that it is a really great restaurant with delicious food and drinks, in a beautiful location in Kirchheimbolanden. We were more than thrilled in every respect!
