Do Ichi Sushi in Fürth

First of all: We've tried all the sushi restaurants in Fürth (really without exception) and most of the ones in the Erlangen-Nuremberg area, and we (my wife and I) are unanimously of the opinion that Do Ichi is the best choice. We've tested Do Ichi extensively (we've ordered from Do Ichi at least 30 times) and always compared it with another very well-known sushi restaurant in Fürth that's on a similar level (at the back of Edeka - you know the one ;)) I'll keep it brief and name a few points that make Do Ichi better than most: About the food itself: - The sushi is generally of first-class quality and is in no way inferior to (significantly) more expensive restaurants! The taste is accordingly very good! My favorite roll is the Do Ichi roll, which I always order. - Do Ichi doesn't skimp on expensive ingredients. Salmon and tuna are much more generous than elsewhere. - The sushi roll is significantly larger than at other restaurants. The momoka, in particular, are authentically Japanese, meaning significantly larger. - Main courses, such as the yaki udon (which we always order), are more artisanal than elsewhere. The fact that there are very good Japanese alternatives to sushi simply seems authentic. The chicken is prepared in such a way that it stays juicy. We still can't get the seasoning right and are always puzzled as to what the secret ingredient is. Simply divine! Service: - When you call and order, you hear a clear and very friendly voice. Elsewhere in Fürth, where it's always very loud, you have to concentrate so hard that you don't even feel like calling. It's different at Do Ichi. - There is a delivery option. This isn't necessarily the case elsewhere. Uber Eats, for example, often offers very good discounts, so it's actually worth ordering. In addition, the prices for the dishes on site are the same as with Uber Eats or Lieferando. Delivery costs, of course. - So far, and I'm talking about the last two years, there hasn't been a single case where something went wrong with the delivery, a dish was mixed up, or even forgotten. This seems trivial, but Do Ichi simply demonstrates perfection in this regard, so it can serve as a shining example here in Fürth. - Punctuality for pickup or delivery is very commendable. When we pick up something from the other large sushi restaurant in Fürth, we (actually just me, because only one person goes) always, but really always, have to wait 5 to 10 minutes. That's annoying! But if Do Ichi tells you to come in 30 minutes, then it's ready in 30 minutes. Insane. Price: Last but not least, the price. Do Ichi isn't "cheap." But if you compare the quality and service, it's right up there with the best in the league. And if you compare the prices, the price is definitely right. For the same order for two hungry people at Do Ichi vs. elsewhere in Fürth, we're talking a price difference of €20 (!), and you also get better main courses, larger sushi rolls, and no need to yell into the phone. Go to Do Ichi, people. UPDATE: Unfortunately, prices have increased by about 25% over the last three years, while the expensive ingredients (fish, shrimp, etc.) have decreased significantly. Now, in the Momoka or the Philadelphia roll, you'll find only a thin slice of fish or shrimp. You could easily miss it. All this at an expensive price. If I were to re-rate Do Ichi now, I'd give it a 2 out of 5, but since I remember Do Ichi in better times, I'd give it a 3 out of 5. It's a shame, but I'll find another local now :)

Our favorite sushi place in town for years. Very nice and attentive team, cozy atmosphere and lovingly prepared dishes - we would love to come back and are happy that there is Do Ichi Sushi in Fürth! :-)

Small 'corner' restaurant. Attentive and friendly service. The food arrived quickly and was beautifully presented on a textured ceramic plate. Unfortunately, sushi was just mediocre. Unagis too big even for someone my size (the Unagi Nigiri was so huge it was hard to chew. I almost had to spit it out!). A better strategy would be to serve one euro more and two smaller nigiris. Tuna and salmon were good. Shinko (pickled radish) felt like it had been sitting in the air for a few days. I've seen better rolled makis (and worse ones too) The blob of wasabi was small and not really spicy. Priced OK (3 nigiri, 12 maki + large drink about 20 euros).

Ordered via Lieferando: I ordered baked chicken with rice and a soup. Food arrived quickly, but the meat was rock hard and definitely not fresh! As you can see in the picture! And charge €16 for such a small portion? No thanks, never again!

Have eaten there 3 times now and everything was great. The beef with onions in particular is absolutely amazing. So tasty and also sufficient. Also ideal to take with you. The staff is friendly and we are already looking forward to our next visit 😍

We ordered from Do Ichi Sushi for the first time yesterday because of the good reviews - in the morning, the delivery was half an hour later than stated (actually it doesn't matter), but the gyoza were cold and limp, the edamame also cold. Sashimi was very good, nicely cut and plentiful (that's why the 2 stars). The rolls were a disaster: the inside appeared OK, but I can't say anything about the taste because everything was covered with a layer of completely overcooked, sticky and mushy rice, up to 1 cm thick! It's a shame that ingredients that are obviously fresh and of good quality are completely ruined here... Conclusion: €92 wasted because we wanted to try new things!

I was in Fürth on business and at Do Ichi for the first time. The service was very friendly and the food was extremely delicious. I'm already looking forward to when my career allows me to eat in this restaurant again.

One of the best sushi restaurants in the area and an absolute insider tip with a very good price/performance ratio. I order there very regularly via Lieferando, and now I also pick up some items there myself. The sushi really tastes exceptionally good. The selection is also great! Small extras are usually packed when orders are placed. I haven't eaten in the restaurant itself, but it looks very cozy and stylish.

For me the best sushi there is in Fürth. Was there for the first time and I will come again. (was to take away, unfortunately didn't have more time) got everything without a long wait. Great go on ! The taste of the sushi is simply different than in other sushi restaurants. An explosion in the mouth. Everything fresh and very, very tasty. The rice was nice and soft and tasty as well as everything else.

I'm surprised why almost everyone here expresses unreservedly positive comments but then only gives 3 or 4 stars. The sushi is very tasty and has an above-average price-performance ratio.

I recently had dinner with colleagues and had one of the best sushis there, plus affordable prices with super nice staff 👌🏽the chefs are a bit serious but that's also due to the concentration and dedication to the good food 😄 I'd be happy to do it again

Great little Japanese restaurant a short walk from NH Hotel and Christmas markets. Service very friendly and good English spoken. Had two Udon dishes, Yuki Udon, I think. They were superb. Ambience was very pleasant. Relaxing dinner after a day of walking through the Nuremberg markets. Cozy, intimate. Highly recommend.

Ich habe bei Uber Eats bestellt, ich sollte die Bestellung um 20 bekommen, aber die Bestellung ist um 21:30 gekommen, und war auch Kalt, ich habe auch zwei mal angerufen.

Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen und geschmeckt, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Preislich Top, Sushi frisch und lecker, kleines, überschaubares Restaurant. Manchmal längere Wartezeit beim Essen, wenn viel Lieferservice läuft, ansonsten aber Top, gehen gerne dort hin.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend im Do Ichi! Das Personal war sehr freundlich, die Atmosphäre wirklich schön, das Essen sehr lecker und das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis einwandfrei. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Wir haben das Do Ichi zu zweit unter der Woche besucht und wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Wir wählten jeweils verschiedene Sushi-Variationen, die auch lecker schmeckten. Uns kamen die Sushirollen größer vor als woanders, allerdings könnte das auch daran liegen, dass unserer Meinung etwas mehr Reis verwendet wurde. Das fanden wir aber nicht weiter schlimm. Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis ist okay. Das Restaurant ist klein aber fein 👍

Frisch zubereitete Sushi 🍣. Leckere Suppen 😋. Auf Wunsch werden die Sushi mit ungesüßtem Klebreis zubezubereitet. Schmeckt dann eher wie ein Currygericht. Ist aber bei Diabetis ein Pluspunkt. Refil beim Yasmintee. Und wirklich ein sehr höflicher Service. Sushianfänger bekommen eine Hilfe für die Stäbchen, dass es leichter von der Hand geht. Als Gruß aus der Küche gibt es immer Soyasprossen. Und unser Golden Retriever war auch ❤️ lich willkommen und hat ohne Nachfrage sofort Wasser bekommen.

Egal ob bestellt und geliefert oder essen vor Ort - stets die perfekte Wahl, wenn es um Sushi und asiatische Küche geht!

Ich war bisher kein Fan von Sushi. Hier ist es fantastisch 😀 und ich bin jetzt Fan.

Seit 3 Jahren essen wir regelmäßig das gute Essen und es war jedes Mal sehr gut. Dabei ist es egal ob man es geliefert bekommt oder vor Ort. Gerade die warmen Gerichte sind besonders gut, alles ist auf den Punkt gegart. Da sollten sich die anderen Lieferanten eine Scheibe abschneiden.

Ziemlich eng und dunkel dort. Aber Essen ist sehr lecker und die Bedienung sehr nett.

Das Ambiente ist sehr ansprechend, ruhig; netter, aufmerksamer Service. Die Speisekarte liest sich so gut, daß es schwer fällt zu entscheiden, was man nimmt. Wir hatten aber wohl für uns nicht das Richtige gewählt, denn wir fanden das Essen nur durchschnittlich und die gewünschte Nachspeise gab es nicht.

Einen tollen Abend in geselliger Runde verbracht. Aufgrund der wenigen Sitzplätze ist Reservieren ein Muss. Aber dafür wird man mit einem tollen Ambiente, guten Service und leckerem Essen belohnt.

L'unica cosa che posso dire che non mi sia piaciuto e la divisa dei camerieri, che praticamente non avevano, penso che un locale sia bello anche per come ci si pone con i clienti e, essere serviti in tuta non mi sembra appropriato ma,nonostante questo piccolo "imprevisto", meritate le cinque stelline perché il vostro sushi e davvero squisito!

Mein Favorit in der Umgebung. Bin hier mittlerweile regelmäßig. Tolle Suppen und Bento boxen.

Sehr angenehme Atmosphäre. Das Sushi muss man echt loben sehr lecker. Ein riesiges Lob an die junge Servicekraft mit der Brille, sehr zuvorkommend und sehr freundlich was leider heutzutage bei anderen Lokalen nicht immer der Fall ist. Ein Besuch lohnt sich 👍🏻

Mittlerweile kann man es leider nur noch als okay einstufen. Das Sushi hat viel zu viel Reis, dem zur Folge schmeckt es überwiegend danach und fast alles gleich. Keine ausgegallenen Kombination z.B Röstzwiebeln on Top oder ähnlichem. Die Konkurrenz ist mittlerweile sehr hoch und für uns leider auch besser. Viel Erfolg weiterhin.

War endlich das erste Mal hier. Ambiente sehr schön, vor allem auch die Akustik ist angenehm, was bei der großen Glasfront gut gelöst wurde. Der Service war sehr sympathisch und freundlich. Als Vorspeise hatten wir Gyoza. Köstlich. Und als Hauptgericht das Lachsteriyaki. Der Lachs war ne Spur zu trocken, aber toll mariniert und die Soße ein Gedicht. Das Macha Eis war zu etwas zu fest und hatte ein paar Eiskristalle dran. Da stimmt wohl was mit der Kühlung nicht. Daher 1 ⭐ weniger beim Essen. Sonst ein schöner Abend. Sehr zu empfehlen. Komme definitiv wieder!!

Sehr leckere Sushi. Die Karte ist übersichtlich, bietet aber eine sehr schöne Auswahl für jeden Geschmack. Sushi -Reis ist perfekt in der Konsistenz.

The place is pretty that for sure. The service was ok, not rally friendly but polite. The sushi rice is nice seasoned but they used too much rice for the sushi rolls. The fish was ok, the shrimp was over cooked so it was dry and a bit chewy. Is overall ok but I was expecting something different. I asked for a Japanese pancake for dessert and the waiter told me was finished which was weird because no one ordered dessert when we were there and was Saturday evening which is “prime time” in gastronomy. I think they didn’t prepare any and I would have preferred the service to tell me that in any case. The tea was good though.

Ob Essen bestellen oder Essen im Restaurant selbst, hier sind wir noch nie enttäuscht worden. Unsrer Meinung nach eines der topp japanischen Restaurants in der Gegend.

Da mein Hotel direkt nebenan lag habe ich mir hier Sushi geholt um es auf dem Zimmer zu essen. Sehr nette Bedienung die mich auch beraten hat und mir auch eine tolle frittierte Rolle empfohlen hatte

Freundlicher Service gepaart mit super frischem und leckerem Essen. Die Athmosphäre ist etwas dunkel und kühl doch das Essen ist der Hammer.

Klein Japans restaurantje waar de sushi voor jouw neus wordt bereid. De porties zijn aanzienlijk en goed betaalbaar, dus echt waar voor je geld. Aanrader voor de gasten van het NH hotel, dat op 50 meter afstand ligt.

Bedienung zwar ok aber nicht unbedingt gut zu sprechen. Auf Sushi kommt als Dekoration keine Majonese oder sonst etwas, sondern vielleicht Karottenstreifen oder ähnliches. Das Ambiente wirkt sehr kühl und leer und die Karte ist etwas zu viel. Insgesamt nicht sehr zufrieden!

Diesmal war die Wartezeit über eine Stunde mit uns war noch ein paar da ich nehme an es gab viele Vorbestellungen die ausgeliefert wurden. Das tat den Geschmack des soucis aber nichts an. Die spezialrollen sind die besten. Ich werde jederzeit wieder hingehen.

Das Do-Ichi in der Fürther Innenstadt kann ich Freunden von Sushi empfehlen. Das Restaurant ist klein, so dass eine Reservierung ratsam ist.

Köstliches und sehr frisch schmeckendes Sushi gibt es hier. Nr. 7 Tataki ein Traum... Die Bedienung ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Was ich vermisse in anderen Fürther Restaurants. Bestellungen sind auch sehr zuverlässig und korrekt. Für mich als zugezogene Frankfurterin ein Geheimtipp in Fürth.

Gestern habe ich telefonisch vorbestellt hat alles super geklappt. Auch eine kleine Änderung im Nachhinein noch möglich. Das Sushi war wie immer frisch und sehr lecker. Ich bin mittlerweile eine Stammkunden da ich monatlich bestelle oder auch in das Restaurant o. k. ich kann es nur jedem empfehlen der Sushi liebt.

In dem leider von außen recht unscheinbaren Sushi Restaurant lässt sich exklusiv speisen egal ob kalt ob warm... Nettes Personal......
