Spitiko in Fürth

With tables spaced appropriately close together on two floors (accessible only by stairs), located in the old town (parking can be tricky), this little gem offers a wonderful selection of Greek tapas. Delicious platters, ranging from anchovies and wild broccoli to eggplant dip and pita bread. A fine olive oil is always on the table, along with yogurt bread and olives, making for a perfect start to the evening. Unfortunately, our server disappeared almost immediately after we placed our first plates. Here's an important tip for future visits: don't order more than one hot platter at a time – it's better to order more to ensure everything is always warm and fresh. We will definitely be back and are already looking forward to it!

A completely different kind of "Greek" restaurant... a small, refined menu with delicious dishes to mix and match. Excellent quality, perfectly arranged for both my palate and the eye. And the ambiance is simply elegant with fitting background music (lounge). Top-notch! The slightly higher price is definitely justified.

Full marks: we had our Christmas party there, I initially thought it would be a noisy affair and that the service would hardly be able to cope, but I was wrong: very nice food, attentive service, very cozy!

The pictures speak for themselves: The creamy eggplant purée with pomegranate and pine nuts 🥣✨ – delicate, nutty, and perfectly seasoned. The roasted green peppers 🫑🔥 – simple, honest, and spot on. The melt-in-your-mouth steak on the hot plate 🥩💛 – juicy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The yellow lentil salad on a black plate, vibrant red from the pomegranate and other greens ❤️🌱 – a visual and culinary hit, nutty, fresh, and light. The souvlaki skewers and chicken bites 🍢🍗 – crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, with a perfect balance of spices. Everything tasted great, and the service was very friendly despite the restaurant being full. Personally, I found the lacquered belly a bit too tender! The vegetable dishes, in particular, were delicious.

The many positive reviews piqued my interest, and I wasn't disappointed when I visited. The food was truly outstanding. Not only was the quality excellent, but the selection and ingredients were also top-notch. Don't expect the standard dishes that everyone else offers; here you'll find something genuinely new. I found the prices perfectly reasonable. It's best to take the subway (a 2-minute walk away) since the restaurant is located in the city center, and parking can be difficult. Overall, we were very satisfied and will definitely return. Highly recommended.

Food is OK, but not special. Small portions. When you order dips you get very little bread with it. So that you have to order bread additionally. Service is interested in cleaning the table all the time, no nice word or friendly gesture during our visit. On top very intransparent billing system !! When you pay by credit card they charge a so called surcharge which is surprisingly high. No information upfront about this. In our case we paid the tip also by credit card and got charged also on the tip. A really frustrating experience. No need to say that nobody cared when I asked about that. So, this was the first and last time going there.

The food, service, and ambiance were good. Unfortunately, we couldn't finish all the delicious food. There was no option to take the leftovers home, which was a waste, especially of expensive food. This is definitely a reason for us not to dine there again. A shame and unnecessary.

The restaurant tries to score points primarily with its ambiance. I had souvlaki, which was such a tiny portion that I wondered if they were serious. Our server was good, but very grumpy. I won't be going back, but I can imagine that the ambiance and the presentation of the food would appeal to many people.

I was taken to this Greek tapas restaurant by a German family. The grilled squid was delicious. And the semolina pudding too. The atmosphere was lovely, and it was a very popular restaurant.

Extremely disappointed. We wanted to eat mezen again after 2 years and last went to Spitiko in the pedestrian zone. We really liked it there too. The food was good, fair prices and good service. Unfortunately, this time in the new location, all of this was no longer the case. The food was of OK quality but the portions were tiny and twice the price. For example, 2 soufli skewers cost just under €10. We ordered more than 7 mezen and both were nowhere near full. We also wanted to redeem a voucher from the same restaurant in the pedestrian zone. They simply refused because they had started a new business and only accepted them last year, with the justification that you would have to pay for it out of your own pocket. Doesn't make much sense if it's the same owners and they previously made money from it and now basically expect the same from the guests. Not even a compromise or dessert or a schnapps was offered here, they just cheekily refused. However, the price-performance ratio is by no means right and we will never go here again and would not recommend it to anyone. There are much cheaper and better mezen restaurants in the area.

This was my second visit to Spitiko, and I'm still thrilled. Great atmosphere, delicious food, and friendly, attentive staff. I love it here. I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Unfortunately, the furnishings are a bit cold... and the prices are very high.

There were five of us at this restaurant. The atmosphere is pleasant, and it's easy to have a good conversation. The service was attentive; there was nothing to complain about. However, the dishes could be improved. The flavor of the octopus was completely overshadowed by the side dish, and the tzatziki, the "hand-cut" garlic fries, and the pea balls, on the other hand, would have been much more flavorful. Regarding the price/performance ratio, the term "ambitious" is a significant understatement. Whether four cauliflower florets and some sauce are worth over €10 is up to each visitor to judge for themselves.

More chic and expensive, more for a special occasion than spontaneous. Mezze was fresh, very tasty, and good for sharing. A bit cramped, at least downstairs.

A beautiful ambiance meets creative and delicious (and rather light) Greek cuisine. The tapas are all beautifully presented and delicious. Coupled with very friendly service, short wait times, and two terraces that are especially inviting in the summer, a truly well-rounded concept and certainly not our last visit to this fantastic restaurant!

There were four of us there and we tried and shared everything. We each had three dishes on average. Without exception, everything was excellent and incredibly delicious. The wait time was okay. It took about 30 minutes from ordering until the food arrived. The wine was very good. It's not cheap, but it's worth the price. We'll definitely be back!

The rooftop terrace is truly a highlight in the summer. I really like the idea of Greek meze. The wild broccoli and salmon left me wanting more. The salmon portion was unfortunately a bit too small for a reasonable price-performance ratio. Unfortunately, something went wrong with the dessert. The mousse was a soup, and the fresh strawberries were a purée. I would have expected something different from the description on the menu. Due to these minor complaints, we're deducting one star. The service is friendly, but there are some small organizational improvements that could be made. When paying for a larger group of guests, it's uncomfortable to stand in the way downstairs at the cash register. A tableside check would have been much more relaxed. Despite these comments, we felt welcome and would happily return. The kitchen operates at a high standard.

An absolute highlight in Fürth! Beautifully decorated location and a great selection of food. We went there for breakfast, and every dish was delicious! We've rarely had such a good and tasty breakfast. Drinks were a bit expensive, but still delicious.

Our second visit to Spitiko. Unfortunately, I now have to revise my first, very good review. The "pink-roasted lamb" served was a very well-cooked strip of lamb, unfortunately only lukewarm. When the few stalks of wild broccoli were served, the sauce landed on the table. The sauce was wiped away, but it was no longer there. The squid's tentacle was cut into several pieces, and only a portion of it landed on the plate. When the hand-cut fries were cut, they were very uneven, mostly too thin. As a result, some of them had a slightly burnt flavor, but overall, they were more mushy than crispy. The spoonful of tzatziki was hard to find under the souvlaki, but the meat was hidden under a lot of onion. I'm happy to spend a little more for food. But I also expect quality commensurate with the price.

After the many good reviews, Spitiko had to be tried out. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we immediately encountered the first negative: of the three plates already set, not one was intact. One plate was even badly damaged in several places. After we ordered, the food arrived quickly. The presentation was okay, but nothing more. The roast beef with green asparagus was very poorly presented in its dish, and that for €14.90. The zucchini fritters were extremely greasy from the frying, so much so that I felt slightly nauseous. Everything tasted generally okay. However, given the relatively high prices, the extremely damaged plates, and the poor presentation of the food, it's simply not worth a second visit.

The food is very tasty, but not exactly cheap. For a normal eater, you'll need 2-3 meze, which will cost over €20, but it's worth it. Service is attentive, and the atmosphere is nice, but it can get loud at times.

We went there for brunch on Saturday and were thrilled! Great small dishes, perfect for sharing and incredibly tasty. The drinks were also really good, especially the coffee. The service was really friendly and attentive. Our little daughter got extra ice cubes and a small fruit salad that was perfect for her. We enjoyed the morning so much that we came back in the evening with a larger group for meze. We were recognized and warmly welcomed, and the meze was absolutely delicious. Vegetarians and meat-eaters alike all went home satisfied. We'll be happy to come back the next time we visit relatives in Fürth!

I celebrated my birthday there. The lovely side room was perfectly adequate for 26 guests. Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the agreed menu and it was praised by all my guests. The food was served with a lovely décor. The waiters were very friendly and attentive. I would celebrate and eat there again anytime. High praise to the kitchen and the service team!

First of all: Brunch was very tasty! Even if we went there (Sunday lunchtime) with the expectation of feasting our way through the menu (which we had already studied online). But: On Friday, Saturday and Sunday there is brunch until 2 p.m. and Mediterranean cuisine only from 5 p.m. We were a bit disappointed here and that's why we only gave it 4 stars! I then searched the homepage several times and found no reference to this!! This would be a suggestion for improvement. As mentioned, the brunch was delicious, but we weren't completely full (because we expected something else). But feel free to come by in the evening to try the food. P.S. We were one of the first to try the breakfast offer. The menu is extensive, there is enough sweet and savory selection. The concept is like tapas, you order several small bowls to share with others at the table. Depending on how hungry you are, I would order around 2-3 dishes per person. We had almost the entire menu. Each dish was delicious in its own way, especially the poached egg with hollondaise sauce. The French toast was also bomb. I would like to see a drinks menu separately for breakfast. There weren't any, just one with aperitifs for the evening. Price-performance ratio is fair.

Unfortunately, one star is far too much, after 1.5 hours you are told that the table can only be occupied for 2 hours, so to speak, you are thrown out! You should specify this when making your reservation! You can enjoy mezze and wine! Bill amount 150 for 4 people. Because of the way and the way customers are treated, never again and we advise against it!

Thank you for the great evening with you. You feel like you've been transported back to your last holiday in Greece, unfortunately not when it comes to the bill. The team is great, you feel extremely comfortable and you don't have to wait long for anything. The food is really perfectly prepared. The portions are very small (meze) but unfortunately too expensive. For the price we ended up paying for the two of us, you can eat meze three times in Crete. Make the portions a little bigger or lower the price a little and we would be with you several times a year. But if meze food is more expensive, like an exuberant dinner at a Greek restaurant, then it's just not right. For your weekly meze pulpo with spinach parmesan risotto: pulpo is such a great dish, unfortunately the risotto completely drowns out the good pulpo. We will come back, but unfortunately less often than we would like.

We were in Spitiko for the second time almost 2 weeks ago. Haven't eaten so well in a long time 👌🏻 Here is a list of the meze we ordered: - Beetroot hummus (chickpeas, beetroot, tahini, garlic) - cold - Yellow lentil salad (beetroot, mint, walnuts) - cold - Bimi (wild broccoli) - cold - Octopus salad - cold From the weekly menu: - Sea bream fillet with a cream of roasted carrots, beurre blanc & herb oil - warm - Spanakopita (filo pastry with spinach feta filling & yoghurt dip) - warm - Greek yogurt ice cream (rehydrated sour cherries, kadayif & roasted almonds) We were also given bread upon request. Conclusion: food great, service great! It's comfortable to sit inside, and in spring/summer you can also sit on a beautiful terrace. The price is a little high, but it is also something special that you can afford from time to time. Unfortunately no photos were taken this time, but I'll definitely take them again next time.

The last chance to order food is at 8 p.m. There is information online that it is open until 11 p.m. There is nothing about opening times for the kitchen. Very good restaurant. The staff is friendly, but the waiting times are above average (e.g. I ordered a coke afterwards, waited a good 10 minutes), and the waiting time was also quite long when ordering food. The store was busy at the time. Overall it's a bit too long for my taste, but that's not really a problem. Food was amazing. The chicken was extremely tender, or the young bull, mega! Salads etc. are really a real treat! I would go there again. In terms of price, I would expect around 40€/person including drinks. But you ate very well!

The non-Greek restaurant tries to serve Greek “small” dishes. The taste, ambience and service of the waiters do not give the impression that you are eating in a classic Greek “meze” restaurant. The portions are extremely "small", I can't talk about eating and enjoying it here, as the 4 of us were seated at a table that was intended for 2 people. Overall, we didn't get full and paid a lot for mini portions.

Today was the third time I went to Spitiko. Every time I am in love with the food. I am completely satisfied with the service, the ambience and the food. I can always recommend the restaurant.
