Professional friendly food great food

I had a very disappointing experience at this restaurant. The service was extremely slow - the first dish was served after an hour, and the rest of the food came 45 minutes later. In addition, the behavior of the staff was not friendly at all. The entire experience was frustrating and not what I expected from a restaurant of this caliber.

We were thrilled, fresh food, deliciously seasoned, extremely friendly service, it's a shame we weren't there sooner. Pleasant dining room, good price-performance ratio.

We visited the restaurant through our relatives. Very friendly staff who look after the needs of the guests like an army of ants in the restaurant. Very clean restaurant. The staff took the order quickly. To shorten the waiting time, homemade çaçık (tzatziki) was served with another homemade hot sauce and of course homemade bread. The mixed grill plate for 4 people was indescribably delicious. The rice, the lamb chops, the chicken wings, the Adana kebab and the meat skewer and even the fries were incredibly fresh and well prepared. (Photos will be added later) Price-performance ratio, top. Definitely recommended.👍🏻😀

Doner kebab was just disgusting

The most tasteless food I have ever eaten, the service is terrible, the waiters are extremely angry.

The food is quite ok. Unfortunately, we didn't get these starters at first because we apparently didn't order a grill plate, which we don't usually have. Others don't even sit properly and already have these breads with the starters without even looking at the menu. You should treat everyone equally.

It's 9 p.m., according to Google it's open until 1 a.m. and they say/claim that half of the menu is no longer available because it's sold out, all right guys

We ate here today with 4 people and were served very, very nicely and attentively. The food, Icelandic, Adana skewer, and lamb were extremely tasty, the salad was fresh and with fresh mint, as was the bread and the sauces. Seldom eaten so well, we love Turkish cuisine and are often in Istanbul, this restaurant can really compete with the restaurants in Turkey. Maybe you should put a glass with the cola and drink out of the straw, somehow it doesn't really fit. The price is completely ok and justified. We'll be back

A bit overpriced... the food was good but it's a shame that sick people who can't eat a lot don't get a small portion. Something like that wouldn't be possible then you would have to take the rest with you... it's a shame that's not customer-oriented

Food good but waiting times too long

This shop is by far the best Turkish restaurant in Giessen and within a 20 km radius. Go, you won't regret it.

My wife really wanted to eat Turkish food after our shopping in Giessen. We ordered two grill plates and a chicken plate with fries for my son. Unfortunately we had to wait almost an hour for the food to arrive. The bread served was very dry and didn't taste good. The side salad was also disappointing in taste. The waiter was rude and spilled coke on my pants - without an apology or any reaction. I stayed calm and still wanted to enjoy my food. Unfortunately the portion was very small for the price and the food arrived cold. I can't recommend this store - it was my first and last visit.

Ordered chicken wings for pickup. Food looked like rubber. If I wanted to take plastic cutlery with me, I would be shouted at that I didn't need it. This won't work, never again!!

I don't understand some of the good reviews. This was the third time I've been to the restaurant at some intervals. The portions of the grill plates were absolutely tiny and also poorly presented. A tavuk Şiş plate (chicken skewer plate) costs a rather hefty but actually justified price. However, the customer then receives what feels like 100 grams of dry chicken breast pieces that taste like they came from a discount store. There is also a bowl of rice. About 30% of the plate is unfilled and you feel like you're eating leftovers. The wrong side dish was also brought to the table. When asked, the answer was in Turkish. Even after we made it clear that we didn't understand the waiter, communication continued in Turkish. I've had better experiences at other Turkish restaurants that have a much less "classy" feel.

Very stable kebab that makes you happy. For me the best kebab in Weststadt and top 3 in Giessen. If you like exotic ingredients or sauces, like at Central Döner, this might not be the right place for you, but Diyar still delivers very good kebabs and lahmacun that fill you up and leave you with a good feeling. The meat is not a minced meat skewer like in other kebab shops nearby, but rather nicely layered, juicy, crispy and with a lot of roasted aromas. Bread and the lahmacun are also toasted crispy. Service gets a point deducted, sometimes you have to wait a short time, even if you are alone, because the kebab is connected to a busy restaurant. But Dönermann is always nice and respects wishes. I can't say anything about the restaurant, but the food always smells good and makes you hungry when you walk past. Gives an extra point in the overall rating to compensate for inflation. For me a well above average kebab and gets a very strong 8/10

Had something to eat there with my family a few months ago. Were served by a slightly younger waiter. You could say he was flawed and only understood half of what we wanted. The floor was full of dirt and food leftovers. We were told something completely different than what we wanted. Despite that, the food wasn't that bad but it could be better Had a bad experience with the service 👌

The food is always very tasty there. Especially the garlic sauce. Conditions are polite, there's a lot to choose from and it's clean. I always feel very comfortable, and there is always enough space to eat on site 😊

We had pide and tavuk sis. Were happy with everything. The starters were particularly delicious. The only thing I really liked was the salad that you were supposed to “season” yourself with the ready-made dressing on the table. I would have liked a delicious dressing from home.

Me and my wife ordered food there today worth €27.50. Unfortunately, nothing you ordered arrived and when you complained you were passed on from employee to employee. Everyone wasn't to blame and yet everyone thought the other employee was to blame / there was no solution to it and now we have €27.50 worth of food that we can't eat because we have an allergy to it. Worst decision after work based on that to be happy honestly

Adana Dürüm was very good. Friendly service and a clean, pleasant atmosphere. Recommended! Edit: seems to have gotten significantly worse. Worst Adana Dürüm of my life. Starter was very dry bread. Doner kebab was also lacking.

We were here for the first time today. What can you say, it was perfect from the reception, food and service. I haven't had such good Turkish food in a long time.

Friends invited me to eat kebab. I was surprised about the restaurant because it is not a kebab shop, but a really nice Turkish restaurant. I'll definitely go there again. Really great. It's unfortunate that you can't order a beer or a glass of wine there, but it's not the end of the world either

The only thing I was missing was the onions on the grill plate and Ezme separately is also a bit complicated and little. But it tastes really good! Old stand The mixed grill plate used to be much larger. Unfortunately, my Adana was grilled for too long for Iftar, but the beef was delicious (5.0). Lamb chop (Pirzola) wasn't as tasty as it used to be there either. Very dry and well done. The waiter with the green and blue shirt was also very often unfriendly. I understand the greater stress of breaking the fast, the food was there on time, which is also commendable, but for others the soup was sometimes forgotten (which is what you start with). We have been here several times and have always been quite satisfied. JUST lately the service has really dropped off, it takes forever (even when it's not busy) to get the menu. Then when you order, people don't listen properly and so something is wrong with every order!!!! And when you ask the waitress about it, you get an unfriendly answer! Then no one comes and clears the table for ages... And the kebab meat is so fatty! So now there are probably much better shops in Giessen and Wetzlar! A pity!!!!

I ordered a Tavuk SAC TAVA where the meat was like chewing gum and after the third fork a piece of gristle came into my mouth... then my appetite was almost completely gone. I told the waiter and he didn't 18€, 15€ taken for the uneaten plate. I've been there many times and know that things can be better. That's why I thought it was outrageous to treat a regular customer like that! Just not fair! It is unclear whether the service was instructed to do so or whether the waiter reacted to it that way?! The waiters are actually very nice and the ambience is also good... it's a shame about what happened

Dieses türkische Restaurant habe ich bei der Durchreise kurz ausprobiert. Mein Hähnchenteller hat mich geschmacklich aber leider nicht wirklich abgeholt. Gut war dafür das Brot mit den Saucen. Die Portionsgröße der Hauptspeise ist riesig und man wird davon definitiv satt. Service und Einrichtung gut.

A few times we only get burnt food on the table, we don't go there anymore and it has become too expensive

We were there as a large group and can't recommend it (despite reservations)! The food is mediocre (chicken legs were not grilled properly and were still a bit pink, onions were also partly raw, beef was very tough, etc.) and the food was nothing special and people are fed off with lots of expensive chicken wings (on the grill plate) The service was terrible and the dirt wasn't removed and every order had to be placed several times and arrived after a very long wait. At the end the coronation - we were asked to clear the tables because the next guests were already there and we couldn't even finish the drinks that we had previously ordered and paid for (!) The seats were cleared at a certain time should have been announced in advance or mentioned at the latest when the last order was taken!! I haven't experienced anything so unfriendly and unprofessional in a long time and I absolutely cannot recommend it!!! Never again !

The Diyar Sofrasi restaurant in Giessen is definitely worth a visit! The food is delicious and always freshly prepared. The staff is very friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere in the restaurant is cozy and inviting. I particularly recommend the grilled lamb and chicken as well as the vegetarian offering, which is also very tasty. Another plus point is the good price-performance ratio. Overall, my visit to Diyar Sofrasi was a wonderful dining experience.

We were guests at your restaurant for your iftar dinner last night. The food was great and there was a friendly staff. These are true. On the other hand, we went downstairs to the mosque to perform the evening prayer. We noticed a bad smell and plaster and paint peeling off the walls. This is very sad and hurts your overall quality. I could have left a picture here too, I didn't want that. Please revise that area where you meet God in a way that suits you. Thanks.

Everything is great but the waiters are very stressed, the food takes a very long time, we waited too long for dinner, I think there is a need for staff.

I went into the store today and wanted to order something to take away, one of the first questions from the receptionist was why I hadn't called ahead. Second question was why I sat there straight away. So you had the feeling there that they weren't interested in customers. But the food was a 3/5

Yesterday was my first and last visit to this restaurant! We were asked to choose a table outside. Unfortunately, we sat at a table that had not been cleared and that still had tea glasses from the previous guests. For a whole half hour not a single waiter came to clean the table or take our order. Because of this rude treatment, we just got up and left. Interestingly, we weren't even approached or stopped by a waiter as we were leaving, even though we walked right past them. The waiters were at the neighboring table several times, but our table was completely ignored!!! A TERRIBLE SERVICE!!!

Gestern war mein erster und letzter Besuch in diesem Restaurant! Wir wurden gebeten, einen Tisch im Außenbereich zu wählen. Leider saßen wir an einem Tisch, der nicht abgeräumt war und auf dem noch Teegläser von den vorherigen Gästen standen. Eine ganze halbe Stunde lang kam kein einziger Kellner, um den Tisch zu säubern oder unsere Bestellung aufzunehmen. Aufgrund dieser unhöflichen Behandlung sind wir einfach aufgestanden und gegangen. Interessanterweise wurden wir beim Verlassen nicht einmal von einem Kellner angesprochen oder aufgehalten, obwohl wir direkt an ihnen vorbeigelaufen sind. Die Kellner waren mehrmals am Nachbartisch, aber unser Tisch wurde komplett ignoriert!!! EIN SCHRECKLICHER SERVICE!!!

Heute gingen wir zum Abendessen ins Diyar Restaurant. Es war so schön, dass wir sehr zufrieden waren. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und der Service war sehr schnell. Die Desserts, die wir nach dem Essen aßen, waren zu köstlich, um sie zu beschreiben. Am Ende des Essens und zum Nachtisch boten sie uns Getränke an. Alles war sehr bescheiden. Ich hoffe, wir sehen uns wieder. Tschüss

Früher war ich sehr zufrieden. Aber die letzten Male war immer etwas falsch. Entweder wurde die Bestellung falsch aufgenommen (wegen fehlender Deutschkenntnis), dann wird einem gesagt das dass Gericht was man bestellt hatte nicht auf der Karte steht und wird noch diskutiert. Oder was fast immer ist, lange Wartezeit. Letztes Mal mussten wir über eine Stunde warten und es war eine Bestellung vergessen worden. Das andere mal wartet man auf Besteck oder auf Brot und bekommt nur Soßen hingestellt (was die Vorspeise bei einem Dönerteller ist). Also ich werde wohl mir einen neuen Laden suchen müssen, obwohl ich früher alle 1-2 Monate hin bin.

Das Essen war reichlich und hat gut geschmeckt und wurde frisch zubereitet - sehr große Portionen. Die Bedienungen waren hektisch. Wir mussten mehrmals wegen eines bestelltes Getränk nachfragen. Leider gab es Strohhalme zu den Getränken, dies ist nicht nachhaltig! Das Restaurant sollte mehr auf Nachhaltigkeit Wert legen statt auf Masse. Außerdem war ein sehr hoher Geräuschpegel zu vernehmen.

17.11.23 ungefähr 15 uhr Wir haben zwei Döner, eine Fanta und einen Ayran bestellt. Obwohl die Döner pünktlich ankamen, fehlten die Getränke. Nach mehrmaligem Nachfragen erhielten wir schließlich falsche Getränke, und als wir darauf hinwiesen, wurden uns keine neuen gebracht jedoch eins wieder weggebracht. Beim Bezahlen wurden uns trotz Aufforderung das falsche Getränk berechnet. Das Essen war gut, aber der Service war enttäuschend und wenig aufmerksam dieses mal.

Flottes Personal & gutes Essen, saubere Toiletten, moderate Preise. Bei der Platzwahl sollte man nicht in der Nähe der Eingangstür sitzen.
