Diodos sounds Greek, the menu seems almost Greek, but you shouldn't think that you're going to an obligatory Greek restaurant like you can find almost everywhere. Instead of a rustic interior made of wood with lots of white and blue, you can expect a chic, cozy, beige-colored restaurant. Of course you will also find typical Greek meat dishes on the menu, but these have it all. Tasty is hardly a word. But that's not all, because you can also find various daily recommendations such as salmon in pepper sauce. And the whole thing is not only served in a very visually appealing way, but is also a dream for the taste buds. And the whole thing comes at a completely acceptable price.

Waiters hectic, we couldn't decide on a main course and only the starters. This probably didn't correspond to the waiter's expectations; in any case, he didn't appear again to start the main course. The starters were definitely not made from fresh ingredients and were thrown together quickly. The so-called wild herbs were just oregano and lettuce from the bag. We preferred to go without a main course. This is clearly different.

My favorite Greek restaurant for years. Unlike many snack bars, the prices are slightly higher. The food also has a completely different quality. If you really want to be pampered, you've come to the right place. My personal recommendation are the many starters prepared with love.

I've been to Diodos so many times and have never given the right review here. I've never been disappointed, the food is always very tasty and the price is right. Sure you can eat cheaper at a “takeaway” Greek restaurant, but Diodos is a restaurant where you can also enjoy other dishes than the classic gyros platter. I can especially recommend going there in summer when the weather allows you to sit outside. Simply wonderful and great food too. Keep it up!

On Wednesday my husband and I finally wanted to go out for a little something to eat at Schweinske in Bergedorf for lunch. The weather was great and you can dine wonderfully on the water (pontoon). It didn't take long for the young waitress to arrive. My husband ordered a large currywurst with French fries (10.40 euros) and a cup of coffee (1.50 euros), according to the food and drink menu, which was stuck in a stand on the table! I ordered a pork loaf (4.20 euros) and a cup of coffee (1.50 euros). The order was carried out quickly. The two cups of coffee came immediately! To our surprise, the cups were only half full! But we haven't said anything yet. I took a sip of coffee before the young lady came back with the food. It was so bitter that I almost spat. My husband also tried it and confirmed that you can't drink the coffee like that! So I asked the waitress for hot water, which she gave us brought in a small carafe. The coffee is the worst we've ever had. Then the food came. The “Schweini” was prepared appetizingly and tasted very good! My husband also really liked the currywurst, but the portion of fries was quite small. We wanted to pay. This time separately. Now something happened that we had never experienced before! The waitress told me the amount I should pay: 7.00 euros! I corrected her and said I only had to pay 5.70! She objected because in her system there was only a cup of coffee, but not a cup, which costs 2.80 euros for her but is shown on the card as 2.70! She actually wanted to collect 2.80 euros each from my husband and me. I ask the boss to clarify this because of course I won't pay for something I haven't eaten. The waitress replied that the boss was not in the house. After a long debate, I kindly offered to pay for a cup of coffee (2.80 euros) and my husband only paid for his currywurst! Then the young lady agreed. It leaves a bad aftertaste because we can't help but feel that the missing "cup" of coffee in the system could be intentional!!!

Wandsbeker Marktstraße 149/151I can only recommend it. Were there for the first time. We really liked it. Ambience, friendly staff, food very good.

Große Theaterstraße 25, Hamburg, Germany Imagine it's 2024 and at the State Opera the bar says "cash only"... and the receipts are handwritten. The long queues are no wonder! Sorry, but this is no longer relevant!
