The owner is very nice, the food is delicious, but very expensive. Simply prepared vegetables cost just under €15, which is quite an announcement and, in my opinion, not justified. The food is authentic Chinese.

I'm perplexed how a restaurant prioritises making a quick buck over decent (or minimal) customer service, thus essentially making them never wanting to come back again. To start it off - the food is not bad, but also not mindblowing. Taste is generally quite mild compared to most Chinese places I've been to, while the prices are a tad bit higher. The lady which mainly attended to us was very kind and sweet, but the same sadly cannot be said about the other two. One man continuously bugged my friends off with weird gestures and jokes, while one lady (which I presume is the owner) was downright incomprehensible. First she overcharged the bill that was given to us. Was a small extra amount, and I guessed it was a mistake, so no big deal. But then we found out they charge extra portion of rice in the given bill, which we DID NOT order at all. I brought this to the (owner) lady, and guess what she said? "But the amount of rice we gave you was exactly that, so that's the price" - then brushed me off. I was dumbfounded. The weirdest part of all - the other (nice) lady supported what I said, but the owner seemed hellbent on the fact that we were not even aware of. And the other (weird) attendant later told us that he thought we were right when seeing us off. How does this restaurant even work?? Honestly, putting aside the atrocious service, you are just better off looking for another place to eat, since this area is hugely competitive with other popular restaurants. Don't come there without reservation though, or you'll end up here like us.

What a terrible experience. The landlady's attitude was outrageous and she looked impatient, as if the customer owed her millions. The seats in the store are as small as pigeon cages, and you can't even think of moving when you sit down. The most speechless thing is that I obviously saw a card machine, but I said it was bad and only accepted cash. It was obvious that it was a scam. First of all, I asked for some water and she gave me tap water in a glass, so I drank it thinking it was provided as a service, but when the customer next to me asked for water, I gave him bottled water and of course he took 3.8 euros. Later, he added 3.8 euros for the water to my food. And it's not a small store, but he said they don't accept credit cards and told me to bring cash. I didn't know how to report it, so I couldn't report it. Really. It's evil...don't go.

The worst Chinese restaurant I’ve been to in Frankfurt: 1. The waiter brought the wrong dishes. 2. The drink was dirty, and the owner tried to brush it off. 3. When paying, they refused to accept card payments, only allowing cash or RMB transfers. I insisted, and only then did the owner reluctantly let me pay by card. Terrible experience—would not recommend this place.

Food ok but worst service ever. When ordering, I felt like I was unwanted. And as soon as the food was there, the owner told us to eat quickly because a group was coming. When we wanted to pay by card, the owner asked if we didn't have any cash with us? When I wanted your concession and paid in cash, I asked for a receipt. She immediately got angry and said why I needed a receipt... in the end she gave me a handwritten receipt:(. It's clear that they're trying to avoid tax deductions. No recommendation!!

So yes, you have to get used to a lot of organizational things here and when they then ask you to write down the orders on a piece of paper in Chinese, you know where you stand. But that's when the fun really begins, because the waitresses are really nice and polite, the boss who takes the orders personally is a tough guy, but she has a complete grip on the place with an iron hand, there's no doubt about it. Incredibly inconspicuous, not a good location in terms of the area, but as soon as you enter, cleanliness, peace and quiet and a small, cozy restaurant where you are served quickly and friendly. The food was great and you really had the feeling, because of the other restaurant visitors, that you were at an insider tip rather than a tourist trap. The menu is quite large and as a German you can sometimes feel lost. The food is freshly cooked across the board and made from high-quality ingredients and you can taste it. Ding Ding Sheng just reopened after a recent renovation. The food has always been great - now with the new decor this is a must-go for authentic Chinese food in a casual but modern and stylish atmosphere! Their menu still contains a lot of the classics from their previous menu. I recommend the green beans (probably the best version of this dish you can find in Frankfurt) and the fried rice noodles with beef. Over the course of one hour when we were there all tables were taken and they had to tell several walk-ins to come back again in 30 minutes. We will definitely come back!

I had the most disrespectful and disappointing situation and service at Ding Ding Sheng China Restaurant today! When I sat down the waitress had trouble understanding what I wanted since she didn't speak german or english. Some friends or family from the owners also sat in the restaurant and they were loudly talking to the owners the whole time while their kid was screaming and singing which was super disturbing while eating because of the volume. It's unprofessional towards regular costumers to loudly chat throughout the whole restaurant with people you know. When I wanted to pay my lunch for 13€ the waitress got mad when I wanted to pay by card and refused. I then told her that I specifically asked in the beginning if I can pay by card to which I received a nodding yes from the first lady who let me in who apparently didn't speak proper german or english. The lady at which I wanted to pay then started getting even more mad and yelled at me for not cooperating. I was shocked to be yelled at inside a restaurant and being made responsible for making a huge problem. The whole staff there seemed extremely unprofessional as family and friends walked behind and in front of the service area as if it's normal thing even though they were wearing private clothing. Anyways after I raised my tone as well because they started yelling at me they let me pay by card. I will not come back here again ever as the service and the human handling was awful! The fried rice with chicken was bland with no taste and zero vegetables except a ton of onions and soy sprouts.

The comparatively low average rating is not justified: Ding Ding Sheng serves great Chinese food from a variety of cantonal cuisines. After the renovation, it is also Chinese colorful. Card payment is also possible (contrary to some reviews here). Perfect for a dinner with several people -- the dishes and portions are designed for sharing, as is usual in China.

I think the taste of fried rice suits Japanese people. Water spinach is soft to the core and very satisfying. The portions per plate are large, so be careful when ordering. I think hungry people will be very satisfied.

I consider this the warmest welcome from Frankfurt -- just around the corner of the main train station, with really authentic Chinese dishes. The chef is good at all of Cantonese cuisine, Northeastern cuisine and Sichuan cuisine, which is hard to find one in a hundred.

Very close to Frankfurt Central Station. I just ate and didn't take any photos. The taste is very good and authentic, especially their sea bass. I was so sweaty after eating it that there was no leftover. After spending more than 20 days in Europe, I have rarely eaten such delicious Chinese food. When I checked out, I was more than one euro short, so the landlady just wiped the zero off. She is also a very energetic person. Die Bedienung war unfreundlich, die Wartezeiten waren sehr lang, und die Bestellungen wurden mit großem Abstand serviert. Leider konnte die positive Empfehlung des YouTubers die enttäuschende Serviceerfahrung nicht ausgleichen.

So gemütlich wie die Wartehalle eines Bahnhofs. Die Preise die außen angegeben sind, gelten nicht mehr. Wenn man die Karte bekommt, ist alles teurer. Auf der Rechnung sind zusätzlich 2 Euro für Service aufgeführt, was in Deutschland völlig unüblich ist. Das Essen ist in Ordnung. Ich werde hier nicht mehr essen gehen.

Die Speisekarte ist ein Wälzer… man sollte also genug Zeit zum Lesen der Karte einplanen. Dafür gibt es auch einige interessante Gerichte zu entdecken. Das Studieren der Speisekarte lohnt sich! Ich hab mich für tausendjahre alte Eier mit Spinat entschieden. Vegetarisch kann man dieses Gericht jedoch leider nicht nennen, weil es in Hühnersuppe serviert wurde. Geschmacklich hat es sich dafür allerdings auf jeden Fall gelohnt. Große Empfehlung!

Das Essen ist immer gut, authentisch, lecker, viel, hervorragend gewürzt. Wenn man sich nicht entscheiden kann bei der großen Auswahl bekommt man auch hervorragende Empfehlungen seitens der Bedienung. Noch nie habe ich hier jemanden unfreundlich erlebt, ggf. ist das eine Frage der Mentalität. Der Umgang ist straight aber freundlich und wenn nicht viel los ist kann man sich auch schön unterhalten. Negative Bewertungen hier sind für mich nicht nachvollziehbar. Immer wieder gerne hier. Sicher gibt es gemütlichere lokale, aber es hat eben seinen eigenen Flair Preis Leistung ebenfalls gut. Das Lokal scheint mit viel Leidenschaft betrieben .

für diejenigen gemacht, die echt chinesisches Essen suchen - mehr braucht man nicht zu sagen. Das Ambiente ist da völlig egal. Wo sonst bekommt man so eine geniale Pekingsuppe? Es sind eben oft die "einfachen" Gerichte die den riesigen Unterschied machen und Erinnerungen wachrufen an die Zeit in China.

Mitarbeiterin ist sehr nett. Bin hier schon seit Jahren ab und zu da. Das Essen ist das beste was es in frankfurt zu finden ist. Andere China Restaurants kommen nicht dran vom geschmack

Fand die Bedienung ziemlich witzig eigentlich auch freundlich wenn auch leicht bevormundend bei der Essensauswahl (wollte Hühnchen statt Rind, aber sie meinte 'Nein, das passt nicht, vertraue mir'. Essen schmeckte meinem Partner und mir aber leider nicht besonders. Gebratene Nudeln waren sehr fade und hattten kaum Gemüse dabei. Gericht meines Partners leider auch geschmacklich sehr schwach. Die Portion Reis musste extra bezahlt werden, wodurch ein Hauptgericht kleinerer Größe am Ende 17,80 gekostet hatte. Dim Sum mit Garnelen hatten aber geschmeckt. Insgesamt leider dennoch nicht konkurrenzfähig mit den Mitbewerbern im Viertel aus unserer Sicht :/ Die Auswahl ist allerdings riesig (Präsentation ziemlich irreführend, da kaum geordnet und manches taucht auch doppelt und dreifach im Speisekartenroman auf), vielleicht schmeckt anderes besser.

Kein Hallo die Karten wurden Hingeworfen während die Bedienung am Handy telefoniert hat. Zur Bestellung aufnahme kam sie mit einem "ja?" Vielleicht hatte sie einfach einen extrem schlechten Tag Ein Mann war auch im Lokal dieser war tatsächlich sehr Nett. Wir bestellten die Peking Suppe, diese sah leider anders aus als in YouTube und schmeckte mäßig. Vielleicht noch den Falschen Koch erwischt Schade!
