Always great. Very rustic, very good cuisine. The beer from the Schönbuch brewery in BB is simply great. Very present service, friendly and professional. Be sure to reserve!

Beautiful brewery in a typical and welcoming atmosphere with a wide selection of local dishes. After a few years I returned to this brewery. and I once again enjoyed enjoying their specialties. Bella birreria in ambiente tipico ed accogliente with vasta scelta di piatti locali. A distance from this year there was a tornado in the forest. And my new trovato now enjoy the speciality of Loro.

As expected: uncomplicated Swabian cuisine. Plus: Cozy. Very, very friendly and attentive service at the table. Full marks :-).

Hey guys keep it up, was here twice in one weekend. Great food! Service friendly. If the staff knew where your name came from, it would be perfect. After a long search, found it on Wiki, and we were all wrong in our guesses.

I liked everything very much! Very tasty food, we ordered 3 different dishes and liked them all. I liked the beer. It was prepared quickly even though there were a lot of people in the room. The staff is smiling and friendly! Prices are normal for such establishments.

Did not make reservation during my first visit (dinner) and was turned away. The next day we visited again without reservation for lunch, and they managed to squeeze us in for a 1 hour dining (TQVM to the male server). Must order their Lustnauer-Tor-Platte (minimum 2 pax) which has everything. So good. Highly recommended. P/s: the picture was taken after we started the meal.

A very fine restaurant in the middle of Tübingen. The cuisine is great, the service is quick, very friendly and the atmosphere really makes you feel good. We were there on September 30, 2024 with 7 adults, everyone felt very well looked after and ate deliciously. Bravo, thank you very much, we will definitely be back

6 of us arrived without a reservation and also in a certain hurry because the bus left early, the young boys found us a place and served us to the max. Ate very well! Unfortunately we couldn't have dessert due to lack of time. Thank you Die wurstkuche we will gladly return.

Food and drink absolutely top Unfortunately, in the end the service did everything bad that could only be done badly. We made a reservation inside and were asked to eat outside because we were overbooked. As compensation, the first drink was promised on the house. When we paid, two people had a free drink and the other two didn't. After a discussion with two waitresses, we were told that the bill would be correlated... we paid and got the bill when we asked. This was then quickly placed on the table in a very friendly manner and that was it. Unfortunately, Actual No Drinks had been corrected. It's just a shame to lie to guests about a few euros that the boss himself approved. You just don't do it. As we were leaving, our glasses were left on the table. They were only given out on the second request, even though there were only 3 tables occupied in the outside area. Absolutely cheeky! Despite the good food, we will not visit the restaurant again nor recommend it positively.

We were there with several people. But we've never experienced anything like this before. At first we were pressed like pressed sausages against two tables and after two hours we were formally ordered out. The tables were supposedly only reserved for us for 2 hours, which was not mentioned when we made the reservation. The chef, however, deserves big praise. the food was very good. But we will still stay away from this restaurant in the future.

Table reserved at 6 p.m., tried to call three times to say we would be late, to no avail. Was there at 6:16 p.m., table was gone. Service is something else.

Quaint local. You can sit outside very nicely. Conditions are brisk and very friendly. The food was really good. The price-performance ratio is absolutely right. It is advisable to make a reservation if you want to sit outside. We'll be happy to come back when we're back in Tübingen.

We had dinner here. It was really very tasty. The location is beautiful. And the staff was nice and helpful.

We wanted to try a typical German dinner and we got it! I don't remember the name of what I ordered but it was spectacular, we were inside which is very curious and except for the heat which at times is annoying (we are not used to it, in Spain they use air conditioning in the hot months) otherwise great, we enjoyed it a lot. Very friendly staff, we understood each other in English. In price, as in Germany in general, it is not cheap but it was really worth it. Money well spent.

My parents visited this restaurant while traveling and recommended this place to everybody. Cuisine is amazing, food is fantastic and the staff is great too. Unfortunately, they did not remember the names but my parents were there on 11th of August at 14.00. Thank you for making their time in this restaurant so memorable 🌟🤍

I had the mixed roast. It was buttery tender and the vegetables were all fresh and varied. Good price-performance ratio.

Three of us had dinner at this place. Sitting outdoors under umbrellas, normal food, not very "empathetic" service, it almost seemed like a nuisance. Dishes too expensive for the actual quality

We discovered the sausage kitchen spontaneously and sat down to eat right outside. The service staff welcomed us in a very friendly manner and served us quickly from ordering to paying! Top notch! We ordered the food in traditional Swabian style: lentils with spaetzle and meat cakes with potato salad. As a born Swabian, I can only say that the kitchen is “super tasty” or “almost like my mom’s” (where it always tastes better of course😍). Whenever we are in Tübingen again, this will be our first address. Keep it up....absolute recommendation!!!

Extremely good - the food - the ambience and the service

Incredibly unfriendly service!!!! impudence You couldn't even order something to eat... We wanted to drink something first and then eat, so we were jumped right away. I was still looking at the map. We then wanted to pay because of this unfriendly way of dealing with guests. I have never experienced anything as unfriendly as this service, because as soon as we paid, she immediately wanted us to get up and leave. My drink was still full. So you weren't even allowed to drink the drink you paid for. Ruined my mood out of nowhere.

Unfortunately the conditions were so unfriendly that we left as quickly as possible. It's a real shame the restaurant is in a great location.

Very cozy, rustic restaurant with very attentive, friendly service. The menu offers German Swabian cuisine. We had the sausage kitchen plate and the schnitzel and were thrilled with both dishes. The schnitzel in particular is one of the best we know. Only the cream sauce was a bit bland and watery. But we're happy to overlook that. We had a very relaxing evening in a pleasant atmosphere and delicious beer from the clay mug and will definitely come back!

They don't serve tap water and thus fit into the German restaurant landscape that is hostile to customers. Standard in other countries, here it is impossible, the paying (!) customer is forced to buy bottled water that is much too expensive in addition to the expensive food! 8 euros for a liter of water on a hot day, thank you very much! As an alternative, of course, you can let expensive sugar water or alcohol seep into your veins. The food was ok, meat was a bit cold.

The food fills you up and the portions are big enough. But that's to be expected given the price. This is totally exaggerated and apparently the restaurant still can't manage to stay afloat. For what reason? Well, because they can't afford to provide tap water to paying guests on an extremely hot summer day. When asked about this, people grimaced indignantly and were offered the ungodly expensive still branded water instead, Nestlé-style. A pity.

Today only outdoor dining, flowery dish names on the menu, roast ox supposedly cooked for three hours in Lemberger sauce, of which there was no taste. Three slices of roast pork, two of them dry, one far dry. I complained about this when it was being removed and there was no reaction from the staff. Will not visit this restaurant again.

If look like it was unchanged in hundreds of years and I loved that. The food was AMAZING!!

WE WENT TO EAT ON THE RECOMMENDATION OF A GIRL WHO WORKS IN AN OPTICAL STORE WANTED TYPICAL GERMAN FOOD AND I HAVE TO SAY THAT IT WAS WONDERFUL IN EVERY ASPECT, THE SERVICE WAS VERY GOOD, THE FOOD THE SAME AND THE LOCATION WAS BEAUTIFUL WITHOUT A DOUBT, A RECOMMENDED PLACE AND TO RETURN

Went there as a group on the recommendation of a city tour. Food was very good and best of all was the service. Very nice staff, friendly, attentive and make everyone have fun. I can definitely recommend it and will come back.

Very fine Swabian cuisine. You can eat really well here. Unfortunately, the soups are a bit small and few for the price, but the main courses are just right and really tasty. You can really recommend this restaurant.

Reacted unfriendly to reservation. Very arrogant. Salad plate completely overpriced for 19 euros. 2 slices of carrots, 2 onion rings, cheap iceberg lettuce. Nothing mixed, no potato salad. When I requested more beef (very little) instead of no pork, I was charged an extra 8 euros. Carelessly done. Service was a bit overwhelmed but made an effort to make us happy. When leaving the restaurant, the employees had to smoke right in the door at the exit, (chef) so I had to walk straight through, which was really disgusting. Not recommended and far too expensive. Here you just want to earn quickly with little money. Never again!

It's a nice, central location. The food is good, the portions are small - which is justified in the menu by the fact that it assumes a starter and dessert, which I find rather presumptuous - and in the end it seems a bit expensive. The service was ok, but it used to be better. I will definitely go again, but not this year.

After 10 years back in my Uni-town and back in the Wurstküche! Still amazing Swabian cooking, Most-bowle and other old favourites. Food is still up to a great standard and the atmosphere is great. Especially given how regional and typical some of the items are it's a great experience!

The traditional Swabian restaurant was used for a small family gathering. As always, it was pleasant and inspiring! Gladly again and again!

A very rustic restaurant with top service and very tasty food. Absolute recommendation!

Been here again after a long time, top service, great food for the price, cozy atmosphere. We would have liked to have stayed longer, but at the next table a smug golf-playing expert thought he had to entertain the entire restaurant. Very disturbing. And if the man constantly drinks at this table brought and sat down next to him, is the owner, but we, sitting right next to him, receive no greeting, then we ask ourselves, where is hospitality? Would never have happened to the old owner. It's a shame and let's think about it, with 6 regular customers you can MAYBE survive. It would be better with ongoing customers who come back again and again. It's a real shame given this great service.

We booked for four people on the evening of April 27th at 8.30pm during our stay in Tübingen. We were immediately greeted with kindness and taken to our table. The girls were really nice and super helpful, despite the language. We took four typical and quality dishes. The meat was really great. The only flaws were the price of the dishes, a little above average and the problem of the time. The kitchen closed at 9.30pm and we were not told when ordering. In any case, highly recommended also for drinking excellent beer.

Vegans don't come here, although having those options in the online vegetarian menù: + Drilling Wurstküchen-Zipfl especial sausages Sauerkraut or potato salad or fried potatoes + Fleischküchle swabian meatballs with potato salad or fried potatoes or with mushrooms, cream sauce, Spätzle Those are not present. The vegetarian options are full of cheese and the rest of the menu is just meat. Really an old school restaurant that I don't suggest if you want to avoid eating meat and you are looking to eat good alternatives The this that makes me the most angry is that every supermarket has good vegan spetzle, maultaschen, wurstel etc and they just don't buy them....

Located in the old town, parking spaces are poor. It does not matter anyway. It's worth walking there. But it's better to reserve.

The food is very good. If I want to eat really Swabian food, then I can highly recommend the sausage kitchen. The meat, spaetzle and especially the sauces are outstanding. The service is courteous and quick and the food comes to the table very quickly. Large portions for a really good price.

The name sounds a bit strange at first, but there is really good Swabian cuisine. Without a reservation you have to get there early, which is the only reason we managed to get a spot. The atmosphere is rustic and quaint. The prices are ok and the portions are appropriate and taste good. Solid 4 stars!

A very pleasant restaurant close to city centre, food was delicious and the atmosphere really nice. Our waitress , an italian speaking girl, was really nice and welcoming (grazie mille L., sei stata gentilissima!) , definitely a place where I would like to come back!

Everything was reserved and there was no space left. We still got a table outside. We sat directly under a tree. Countless small seeds constantly fell on you but also in your food and drink. We had the platter for two with cheeks, meatballs, rump steak, pork loin and Maultaschen with vegetables, potato slips and spaetzle with two different sauces. The best was the rump steak, followed by the pork loins. 4 stars for this. The rest was more like 1 to 2 stars. Not inedible, but certainly no reason to have to eat here. The sauces are quite salty. The potato slip was far too little seasoned, too dry and not enough cheese. The meatballs tasted like bratwurst and were far too dry; no classic meatballs. The Maultaschen also had a bratwurst filling with spinach. They were far too soft and unfortunately didn't taste that special either. The service was nice and quick. We had our food at the table after about 10 minutes. The drinks after just 2 minutes. It really went really fast. I still don't think we'll come here again. It's a shame, I found the Swabian funny concept really promising.

The ambience is very good, the decoration is beautifully coordinated with Easter. The food is good, but these cheese buttons had nothing in common with spaetzle or even buttons. Those were real noodles. You need the right tools to get the right shape and the kitchen doesn't seem to have that. The taste of the cheese was pretty good and by southern German standards anyway, but it was missing a mountain cheese to make it stick. There was almost no sign of it at all. I had to wait half an hour for a table because the young, untrained ladies wanted to fill a whole table instead of one for one person. Very unprofessional, but if I hadn't really wanted to try Kässpätzle, I wouldn't have waited. When I finally got a table, there were several other free tables that weren't sold all evening. Otherwise the service and attention was weak, but they were friendly (hence the second partial star).
