The fish platter was divine, the mashed potatoes just like they used to be, with bacon and onions! The cucumber salad was simply delicious! You can tell the love and passion that goes into the cooking and the service. And yes, fresh, top-quality fish comes at a price. I'd rather eat out less, cook myself, and treat myself to something special for a special occasion. Thank you so much for the beautiful table decorations and the little picnic!

We had an all-around fantastic visit! Even though the restaurant was actually full, the owner spontaneously found us a table. Incredibly warm and hospitable. We were thrilled with everything from the service to the food: The plaice was perfectly prepared, the salmon was cooked to perfection, and both the homemade potato salad and mashed potatoes were simply divinely delicious, and the cucumber salad, Grandma's style, was divine! A highly recommended restaurant. A must-visit if you're on holiday in Rerik or the surrounding area. We've been there many times. They mainly serve local fish. The potato salad was just like grandma used to make. Absolutely delicious. You can taste the freshness and love with which it's prepared. We've been treating ourselves to this fish restaurant every summer for years! Hardly anywhere else is the proximity to the shop so noticeable, and the two gentlemen demonstrate their expertise. The changing specials create a special anticipation and couldn't taste better! The wait time was also only 30 minutes last time, which is no complaints.

We always eat at the Cliffside Restaurant. The food is really good and made with love. The chef presents and explains everything about the food. He always has a lighthearted joke on his lips, which is really nice. It's worth every euro. 🙂

A very authentic chef with his Thuringian roots and a loving affection for Nordic cuisine. Delicacies from both regions are combined, super delicious and, above all, very fresh. There's something for every taste; for me, the cucumber salad was a dream. I had the fish platter with three types of fish (plenty of fish for me as a grown man), fried potatoes (very tasty, just like grandma's), and a side salad, just like my childhood. My wife cooked the char, which was also very well prepared and incredibly delicious. The mashed potatoes are also highly recommended, with onions and oil on top 😋. We can recommend everything here and would love to come back. One more thing to say: it's almost impossible to get a table without a reservation. So, make a reservation and enjoy! 👍🏻

We ate there twice during our vacation. The location offers a wonderful view of the Baltic Sea from the terrace. The fish is always fresh, and when it's all there, it's all there, so the number of guests is limited. Be sure to make a reservation! Very tasty fish, superbly prepared. The owner is authentic and quaint, always polite and entertaining, with information about the fish. It's also great that you can order a senior citizen's plate, so I can eat everything and nothing has to be thrown away. The side salad brought back childhood memories for me, because the dressing tasted like my mom used to make it in the GDR. If we're ever in Rerik again, this will be our first place to eat. Thank you for the great food.

It was a truly pleasant evening. We felt warmly welcomed. You can tell that a lot of heart and soul goes into both the service and the food. The cod and salmon were both delicious, and the portions were absolutely generous. Our son was happy with his schnitzel and delicious ice cream. The location on the cliffs and the accompanying view of the Baltic Sea did the rest. We'll definitely be back. It's good value for money. A wonderful fish restaurant where the quality of the food still counts and personal contact is important. We've been going to the Baltic Sea and Rerik for over two decades. The cliffs are a highlight for us, especially because we always get freshly caught plaice. Thank you so much for the many years of work on our wonderful and unforgettable food. I hope we can enjoy it for a few more years. In my opinion, the price-performance ratio is justified.

Were there on Saturday afternoon with a reservation. It was just a dream. The carrot-ginger soup had the perfect spiciness, and the fish fillets were perfectly fried. 😋 Very nice service. Would love to come back.

We had a delicious meal on our holiday in Rerik at Maik's. So people, if you're ever on holiday nearby, make sure you stop by because they have the most delicious fish you can imagine. It was a wonderful evening. The restaurant is so authentic and has such attention to detail. We received a very friendly welcome, service, and entertaining throughout the evening. We ate at this restaurant, right on the cliffs of Rerik, with two adults and a child (2 years old). The ambiance and the host are quaint and authentic. We quickly felt at home because the owner was also very friendly and engaging. He was unobtrusive and very informative. The food was truly delicious. Naturally, we had fish. One was a zander fillet and the other a mixed platter with three different fillets of zander, salmon, and cod. The fish was cooked to perfection, and the side dishes were delicious. We had homemade potato salad and fried potatoes. Both were excellent. The menu is small, and if one fish is sold out, there's no other. The owner buys it fresh, so there aren't all kinds of fish in abundance, which I personally really like. In summary, we highly recommend this restaurant for eating good fish. Reservations are essential, as there are limited table capacity. If we're ever in Rerik again, we'll definitely come back. Thank you. We had a great time with you.

Highly recommended! Every now and then, we find culinary highlights on our travels. This is one of them. Fresh fish from the same day, the best Labskaus (a kind of cheese), and an outstanding cucumber salad (We knew that cream enhances the flavor. But the fact that sweet cream enhances the flavor so much more than sour cream was new to us when it comes to salads. 10 out of 10!). Incidentally, fish not caught locally is also labeled as such. Mike explains everything in detail, and Sabine supports him in the background. Top

Actually you can't judge the restaurant with stars. Yes, of course you can give it all 5 stars, it just doesn't do it justice. I had probably eaten the best Labskaus of my life and my dear wife had salmon with fried potatoes. In our opinion, we ate in a great atmosphere and service that was second to none and felt incredibly comfortable. All we can say is “Thank you”

Rustic fish restaurant in a family atmosphere. The food was very good and homemade... We happened to pass it on New Year's Eve and still have 2 seats reserved for New Year's... Nothing can be done without a reservation.

Man, that was a lovely evening! Mike greeted us very warmly, as if we had known each other for a long time, even though we were there for the first time! Delicious pumpkin soup, Very tasty fried zander, very tasty mashed potatoes with onions melted to a glassy brown perfection on top! Very tasty farmer's breakfast! Unfortunately there was no dessert left, otherwise it would have been the Swedish pot... The music selection was completely to our taste, lively, very attentive service, loving Christmas decorations and overall a nice atmosphere with satisfied guests! We would like to thank you from the bottom of our hearts and wish you continued success and so much heart!

At this restaurant you could really taste that it was homemade. Our dog was allowed in. Even though it was a bit more expensive, I have to say this restaurant is totally worth a visit. I also recommend reserving a table early. I can only recommend this restaurant.

Best fish restaurant I have come across. There is the tastiest fish here. The boss is not only a host but also a good entertainer and the boss is the best cook.

The "Stiff Coast" is an absolute MUST if you are near Rerik. We were lured here by the many good reviews. And it was very, very, very worth it!! The ambience is stuck somewhere between the 60s and 70s. This is what a restaurant must have looked like before the fall of communism. Absolutely stylish! What is on offer is what the cook has cooked. Starter soup: What the cook cooked (when we visited it was a delicious asparagus soup) Fish: Available boiled or fried. With boiled potatoes, fried potatoes, mashed potatoes or potato salad (if the cook made it) Dessert: Something with fruit, depending on what the cook made. All the dishes are excellent and “delightful”!!! The service is first class and suits this somewhat rustic restaurant. The landlord is absolutely great and creates a great atmosphere. We enjoyed the evening in the "Stiff Coast" so much. It's nice that a restaurant like this still exists. Everything is made here in-house. You won't find finished products here. The prices are absolutely justified by the quality. We would definitely come back if we are in the area again. In any case you have to reserve in advance. Don't even try to come here without a reservation ;-)
