The decor is tasteful and creates a pleasant mood, ideal for a relaxed meal with friends or family. There are both indoor and outdoor seating areas, each with its own charm. The service was excellent! The staff were friendly, attentive, and very knowledgeable about the menu. Our questions were answered patiently, and we always felt welcome. The food was an absolute highlight! The menu offers a diverse selection of dishes, all freshly prepared. I ordered the Reriker Currywurst, and it was simply delicious. The flavors were perfectly combined, and the presentation was a feast for the eyes. The desserts were also a dream! The prices are absolutely fair for the quality of the food and the service, and the incredible view you get. It's a place I would definitely treat myself to for special occasions or simply for a great evening. I highly recommend Balu Bistro. If you're looking for a place that offers delicious food, friendly service, and a great atmosphere, then you should definitely visit this bistro ;) !!!..

We visited in the early afternoon after visiting the beach with our two young children. A wonderful, quiet atmosphere with a beautiful view of the sea. Plenty of shade. Short wait time. Delicious food! Highly recommended.

Today, while on vacation in Rerik, we treated ourselves to a Balu currywurst with fries and sweet fries, and a tarte flambée. We also had fish and chips, Balu style. All the dishes were fantastic, and the price/performance ratio was perfect. The taste was amazing. If you're on vacation in Rerik, go to Balu Bistro, a real insider tip. Great. We'll be back.

Everything the fryer can muster...at least the fish. Modern self-service, but long wait times - unfortunately, the tables and chairs aren't clean.

One of the best bistro/bars I've been to. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The food is quick and delicious. The Caipirinha and the Lillet Wild Berry are highly recommended, as is the entire restaurant. If you're in the area, you should stop by.

Very tasty and pleasant. We sat outside, where it's self-service. I don't know if it's different inside. Ordering via the QR code was easy, and the drinks were ready immediately. The food was ready shortly afterward. The fries and sweet potato fries were incredibly delicious. Very crispy. We had the veggie currywurst twice, and they were very, very good. My son had the "regular" currywurst and was equally enthusiastic. Our youngest had fries with fish nuggets and was also very satisfied. Highly recommended, and also reasonably priced.

I'm totally surprised by the quality. Great sausage with a really good curry sauce. Not just plain curry powder from the supermarket. Very good. Unfortunately, no photo, as we've already finished it. 😂

The food is delicious, and the view is fantastic. There's no indication that the opening hours don't correspond to the kitchen hours. Unfortunately, food isn't served until 11:30 a.m., even though the restaurant opens at 11 a.m. Unfortunately, this isn't apparent to guests at all. When we arrived, the staff were still smoking. Perhaps there's potential for serving food earlier.

A bistro with a self-service window and a beeper when the food is ready. A beautiful view of the Salzhaff. The currywurst was delicious, but the homemade sauce was too smoky for me, more like a BBQ sauce. I prefer Konnopke's curry sauce from Berlin. The fish with fries and dips was delicious.

I had the best and tastiest fried fish of my life here for lunch today. The dips were super delicious, the fish cooked to perfection and dripping with fat, like you always get elsewhere, the fries were also excellent and everything was presented very attractively. The comfortable seating invites you to linger, and the service is very friendly. All in all, absolutely recommended. I'd love to come back ☀️🏖😋

We started our vacation today. We were really hungry after the long car ride. We took a lovely walk along the water, and then a delicious smell wafted from the bistro. I ordered Nordic tarte flambée and Reriker currywurst with fries. All I can say is, it was absolutely delicious. Everything was perfect. Friendly service, super-fast delivery. And the view of the water is fantastic. I highly recommend stopping by.

The best restaurant in Rerik. The fries are delicious and the view is beautiful.

Delicious snacks right by the water. There's hardly any waiting time; even six meals were ready in about 10 minutes. Soft chill-out music plays in the background. The atmosphere is tempting to enjoy a drink under an umbrella even at 2 p.m. If you're looking for some exercise, you can also rent a SUP board or kayak from the bistro. We'll be back.

The fried fish sandwich tastes truly delicious with the spring onion rings. Unfiltered Carlsberg on tap isn't that common, and the view of the lagoon is fantastic anyway.

A cool bar right on the Rerik lagoon. It's less than two minutes from the Baltic Sea. Fair prices, excellent food. The staff are especially friendly. Fantastic!

A charming bistro right on the Salzhaff in Rerik. A self-service window with a pager to let you know when food is ready for pickup. Pleasant seating overlooking the promenade and water. The fries are uniquely shaped; nicely seasoned, not as salty as elsewhere. A definite recommendation!

A real highlight on the water – the Balu Bistro! I had the pleasure of visiting Balu Bistro right on the water and it was simply amazing! The location is fantastic - a beautiful view of the water that is perfect for relaxing. The absolute highlight was the dish: the currywurst! Freshly prepared, with a spicy, perfectly balanced sauce and crispy fries – simply a pleasure! It is clear that the work here is done with a lot of love and quality. The service was also excellent. The team is incredibly friendly and attentive and makes you feel at home straight away. Whether for a snack, a relaxed drink with a view of the sunset or a cozy meeting with friends - Balu Bistro is the perfect place. I'll definitely be back and highly recommend it to everyone!

We ended up here by chance because we wanted to eat somewhere. The Currywurst neon sign attracted me. I wasn't disappointed! I guess you won't get a better currywurst in the area! The fries were also great! I love these boat fries... My son had fish and chips. The portion was large, so my little one couldn't finish it. And also very tasty If we were in the area again we would take a detour for Balu

We spent a very relaxing afternoon here. I ate a very strong currywurst, which is probably one of the best of my life. This was flanked by excellent fries. Other guests have highly praised the fish nuggets on offer - I'll probably have to try them on my next visit. The food came very quickly and was really excellent. Thank you also for the friendly welcome and service at the counter. The ambience is beautiful - the view is just a dream. It's easy to endure here.

We actually just wanted to eat a little something, but since it started to rain, we sat down and ate tarte flambée and currywurst with fries. Everything was very tasty and rich, the homemade curry sauce is great, the fries were also very good! We were warmly welcomed and served and would love to come back!

Nice bistro, unfortunately you don't get served inside either. But you can place orders using a QR code and, when you receive an SMS, pick them up at the counter and pay there. At over 5.00 for the wheat, I found the self-service almost a bit outrageous. Food was good and nicely prepared.

Very good bistro. The food was very tasty and ready in a good time. Ordering via mobile phone was very easy and practical. When we are back in Rerik we will definitely come back. Dogs are also welcome here and there is a large dog bowl available.

We were there for dinner. Great location with a view of the Salzhaff. Delicious drinks - especially the cocktails. Small, select menu - but very tasty. We also liked that you could scan the card using the QR code and order with your cell phone. Since it's self-service, you don't have to go all the way to place your order and then just have to pick up the food.

Fried fish + fish & chips = fresh and fluffy, in tempura batter (not that thick breading), we are repeat connoisseurs and inhale this great view while eating.

Currywurst is available here in vegan and non-vegan versions. As vegetarians, we ate vegan currywurst once with fries and once with bread and drank tap Lübzer with it. The sausage tastes great, the fries are great and the view of the lagoon is very nice, especially from the outside area. You can order via QR code from your seat or at the counter. It's basically self-service.

Cake like homemade. The crema also tastes naked. Without milk and sugar. When the sun is shining, you can sit outside in a rustic setting with a panoramic view of the Salzhaff. CURRYWURST/ fries= delicious!
