The food is really great, but the service is a bit slow.

You don't get a proper welcome, you don't even get a menu after waiting 15 minutes, so you don't place an order and leave the restaurant without anyone asking you why you're leaving. Very poor service.

One of the best pizzas I've eaten in a long time. Great service and it's really quick. A very good selection. Prices are typical for Cologne. Would come back at any time.

This evening we ordered a pizza and a salad and picked it up. On the phone we asked if there were pizza rolls or something similar to go with the salad, and we were offered focaccia. The focaccia ended up costing 9 euros and was inedible due to the extreme amount of garlic. The Insalata Mista we ordered cost over 10 euros, was more of a side salad and seemed to only consist of some green lettuce and half an onion. The dressing was a ready-made balsamic cream. The pizza was ok. But for just under 16 euros it can be expanded. So half of the 35 euros ends up in the bin. Unfortunately, after the change of ownership, I hoped for more.

We were there with a large group. Unfortunately it took forever for the food to arrive. For the most part it was quite good, although for some it came up to 20 minutes earlier than for others at the same table. And it was quite draughty, it was cool in the restaurant. Finally, there was a big drawback when one of the employees stood in the door and cigarette smoke came in. The restaurant will continue under a new name (Italian Kiss?), I wish you a good start, which I hope you will also use for optimization.

After the new owners took over, this pizzeria has truly become our number 1! We eat here every time in Cologne and every time it is something very special. The guests are served here and the food is prepared with a lot of love. Thank you for the good food and the friendly service.

As soon as I entered the restaurant I was greeted by the warm and welcoming atmosphere. The loving furnishings immediately put you in the holiday mood. The menu offers a wonderful selection of traditional Italian dishes, all freshly prepared. The service was very attentive and friendly. Another “fake Italian”! Both the food and the ambience have nothing to do with Italy or Italians! The predominant plastic kitch reveals the origins of the owners. Anyone who has 2 euros too much opens an “Italian restaurant! You can't beat the embarrassment!

When we came in, tables were free. I asked for a table and two answers. I'll have to take a look first. Then first of all, completely calmly, two guests will be completely transposed onto another, then another two times will watch a fish rough dream. Oh yes, there is a table. Today I was in the restaurant for the second time and I have to say that I was more than pleasantly surprised. To be honest, when I first visited a few months ago, when the old owner was still there, I wasn't particularly impressed. But now, with the new owner and a breath of fresh air in the restaurant, the tide has turned. The restaurant itself is very attractive and modern. The counter in particular, which is stocked with a variety of bottles, creates an inviting atmosphere. The seating is also very comfortable. In the back there are tables for both larger groups and couples, which is very flexible. The creative sayings on the walls and the atmospheric lighting also contribute to the pleasant ambience. The toilets are also in perfect condition - clean, hygienic and nicely decorated, which is unfortunately often neglected in many restaurants. About the service: The waiters were friendly and quick, even though the restaurant was full. We didn't have to wait long, neither for our order nor for the drinks. The food is particularly worth mentioning. I had the tagliatelle with truffles and absolutely loved it – a 10 out of 10! My partner had a salmon dish which he also really enjoyed. Our starter, bruschetta, was perfect – not too dry and not too soft, just right. I'm already looking forward to my next visit because the menu still has a lot to offer. Next time I will definitely try the famous pizza that everyone raves about. The price-performance ratio is also great. Large portions for a fair price. Ich war hofter bei der Italiener, seit August ist ein neuer Besitzer drin. Die Pizza ist so geblieben ich würde eine 10 geben top kann man nicht ändern sagen , ich habe nach der Pizza Gambas mit calamari bestellt und mein Kumpel noch eine pizza, es waren 4 kleine Scampi und genau 3 calamari , dazu Kartoffeln,und Gemüse das alles voll mit öl ungenießbar,der Preis 24.50 😳.Der Koch (kein Italiener ) kam am Tisch und meinte das die Gäste das so mögen na ja glaube ich kaum,( war selber Gastronom ) der Besitzer ist nicht mal bei uns am Tisch gekommen um sich zu vergewissern ob alles OK ist . Danach bestellten wir ein Espresso die Kellnerin brachte uns der Espresso, sie wusste nicht wohin mit der Tasse weil die Teller noch da lagen , ich habe 105 Euro bezahlt und mein Kumpel gab ihr 10 Euro Trinkgeld ,ich gebe ihr auch keine Schuld sie ist jung und unerfahren, PS. Sie hatte der Zucker vergessen der Espresso war schön kalt. Ich werde nicht nochmal in gehen.

Was there today with my 2 girls. We liked it very much. Food, delicious, very tasty. Drinks very good; the waiter was very very personable and accommodating. It's best to make a reservation here in advance. The ambience and atmosphere was super cozy. There were also great Italian songs playing. We'll be back :)

Same name new delicious owner Wow! Just wow! By chance I stopped by the Italian restaurant again this evening and went in to order a pizza to take away. I noticed that there was a new owner and I wanted to give it a try, despite the “not so good” previous owner. I was welcomed by a very nice gentleman who turned out to be a partner. Incredibly friendly and had great conversation. The pizza tastes very good. Even at home it's still very tasty, which speaks for the quality. Be sure to stop by here, it's worth it!

The steak noodles were tasty, filled you up well and were at a fair price. Was a very pleasant stay.

This was by far the best kebab I've ever eaten!! This freshly tapped Ayran, which is available on an all you can drink basis... simply an unforgettable experience for the fine palate. We had a wonderful evening with great food. The two boys are doing everything right after the reopening. Very nice atmosphere, great courteous service and no matter whether pizza or pasta, everything tasted very good. The price-performance ratio is also very good.

On site today with 8 people who had reserved. The table was not prepared. Then we should push it together ourselves! Instead of the vegetable starter I ordered (ordered twice as a small appetizer for 4), much more expensive antipasti was served for 69 euros! Wasn't worth it and so unrecognizable. Food arrived completely delayed (more than 10, more like 15 minutes). The last two pizzas were delivered incorrectly, were returned because they were not accepted, but in the end they were of course on the bill! This is fraud, we won't go there anymore! Oh yes, and by the way, even though we asked for it when paying, we only received the bill when we were explicitly asked to do so! We got the money back for the uneaten pizzas upon request! No go at all!!!

My absolute favorite Italian! The pizza is incomparably good, and the pizza creations are unique and inviting. The ingredients are fresh and high quality. When I'm in Cologne I have to go there every time.

Unfortunately, despite a reservation, the evening was marred because after almost an hour we were asked to pay because the table had already been re-reserved. There was no option to order additional drinks or food. Neither when we made the reservation nor when we entered the restaurant were we informed that we would only have the table for 1 hour. The bottom line is that we won't be visiting the restaurant again!

The pizza tasted good. Unfortunately, the board on which it was served was dirty and had many cracks in which food residue had accumulated. As a starter we had Vitello Tonnato which was ok. Unfortunately, the bread that was served was not homemade. The ambience can still be improved. Plastic flowers, sticky tables and torn QR codes for the menu were not very inviting. Bonsoir, dear friends of culinary art. At a recent soir, Arno and I decided to be guests at an Italian restaurant. After a few minutes of research, we came across this eatery with the strange name "The Italian". The restaurant was at its peak for evening dining, but quite sparsely attended, which, as a true connoisseur, surprised me. Arno and I both ordered a proscioutto pizza and water. Even though the restaurant was so sparsely attended, it took the kitchen a full half hour to serve the food! There was nothing wrong with the pizzas, apart from the fairly advanced charring on Arno's pizza. As I know with many years of experience, the water was good and tasty. Finally, we rounded off the evening with a good portion of tiramisu. This was high quality and exuded lots of tasty flavors. The faux pas that evening, however, was the landlady's extremely revealing work clothes. In my opinion, the clothes as such were clearly too revealing, but when paying, Arno had to, in all seriousness, see her BARE breasts. Poor Arno! Arno and I think that something like that doesn't belong in a restaurant, you wonder what would have happened if there were children present! After all, the experience in this location was characterized by positive culinary experiences, although the ambience could have been significantly improved by a different dress code from the staff. Food was good but service was very long. We got our main about 2h after arriving at the place. Can understand it happens but you need to tell customers in advance.

The pizza wasn't bad but nothing special either. The prices are well above average, the tiramisu afterwards for 9 euros was anything but tiramisu, very much with sorbet. I personally find it rude and intrusive to be actively asked for a tip when paying. To be honest, I didn't think the service was particularly good. We wanted to order drinks with our meal, but the waiter tried to persuade us to drink something first and then order it afterwards. The shop was too small and noisy, you couldn't have a quiet conversation. I won't use this place anymore.

The portions are perfect and the prices are very humane. The service was excellent and the staff very accommodating. An absolute must for all lovers of Italian cuisine! What's special are the incredibly delicious pizzas, which simply taste fantastic. I can only recommend it ⭐️

The pizza was - and that's why I came here - rather average. No good olives (Qualità Taggiasche), the anchovies were completely over-salted and the dough lacked the typical texture. I was in Naples. I know what it actually has to be like. However, the service was extremely friendly and the atmosphere was very stylish.

Service not professional. I asked the waiter for water and said that I needed it quickly. After 10 minutes I had to ask him again and he had the opportunity to put a bottle of water down. Only then did the water come. When he saw my medication, he understood. It didn't matter why. That was probably the beginning. Then we had to wait a whopping hour for the pizzas. Compared to Pizza Napoli, it tasted like a regular pizza shop around your corner. I won't go there again.

The two of us ate here today. We waited 10 minutes for our order to be taken. Drinks and appetizers came a little later. Then ordered drinks again and waited for the main course. This came 40 minutes after the starter. The food was really good! Unfortunately, the waiting times are simply too long and the volume of the music is too much. Unfortunately it wasn't an isolated case as all the tables around us had to wait forever. The waiter was really nice (if you understood him because of the loud music) but he felt like he was alone & that made everything drag on.

Went to the "Italian" yesterday for the first and definitely last time. The food: there is hardly anything to complain about here. Bruschetta was good, pizza too. Not great, but good. Neapolitan, after all. Seems very fashionable right now. However, the reason for the bad rating lies elsewhere: service (primarily) and ambience. Ambience: here I limit myself to the loud music and the sticky tables. The former was so loud at first that you almost had to shout at each other. Accordingly, the noise level was quite high. As the evening progressed, people came to an understanding and the music was turned down a bit. Still, this is a restaurant and not a club. Our table was unpleasantly sticky. When asked, they also said that the table had been wiped and that was just the way it was. Well then. The biggest disappointment: the service. We waited exactly one hour and 20 minutes (!) for our pizzas. A sad record. Well after us, five people sat down at the neighboring table and had their entire dishes in front of us. We were obviously forgotten. When asked, something like "I'm alone, there's a lot to do". I didn't understand everything because, exactly, it was too loud. However, I couldn't hear an apology and we weren't offered anything to make amends. No go. There were also at least two service ladies walking through the restaurant. On top of that, I sat at my table with an empty beer glass for about an hour. Nobody seemed to care. Conclusion: both me and my girlfriend simply felt uncomfortable here and will not be coming back. Next.

Nice personal, didn't waiting long time for a food. 4⭐️ only because in "Rigatoni Crazy Chicken " we find only 1 peace of chicken.

I had a table reservation for 15 people on the occasion of my birthday. When we arrived, only tables for 10 people were available. All other tables were occupied. After waiting for 30 minutes and repeatedly proactively asking when a table would be available, whether there were at least chairs available and whether we could at least order drinks, we were still standing around without enough tables and chairs and we always had drinks not yet ordered. Not to mention an apology for the mistake. We then left the restaurant after 30 minutes.

I had high expectations, but unfortunately I was disappointed. First of all, it took a long time before we were even served. Then we waited 1 hour 10 minutes for the food. The food came cold and you had the feeling it had been sitting there for a while. In general the waiter seemed a bit overwhelmed. We then decided to order dessert. Unfortunately, we waited here again for almost 40 minutes. The ambience itself is very nice. However, I would not visit the restaurant again because of the service.

Due to the many good reviews, we had very high expectations of the Neapolitan pizza. Unfortunately, the pizzas lacked a lot of what makes a Neapolitan pizza. The salami pizza was baked very unevenly, one side was nice and the other was completely pale. The crust that we love so much on the Neapolitan pizza was very high, but not really airy, but rather doughy and heavy. We weren't impressed with the taste of the dough either; we've eaten better ones. Unfortunately, San Marzano tomatoes were saved on, wafer-thin tomato sauce that you could hardly taste. The Nduja was layered with thick chili rings with seeds (the rings could have been cut thinner), which made the pizza so spicy that you could hardly taste the actual topping. The carpaccio was positive, very tasty. When you call yourself The Italian you expect a perfect product

Haben einen Tisch mit 3 Personen direkt zum Eingang der Toiletten zugewiesen bekommen. Absolutes No-go. Es nervt total wenn die Leute dort rein und raus laufen. Speisekarte in klassischer Form nicht vorhanden sondern nur per QR-Code auf Handy. Wer keins hat ist aufgeschmissen. Haben uns als Softgetränk Fanta ausgesucht . Die Getränke wurden in 0,2 Flaschen geöffnet an den Tisch serviert. Gläser waren ohne zu Fragen mit Eis gefüllt. Laut der Karte haben wir festellen müssen ,dass eine 0,2 Flasche geschlagene 3.30 € kostet. Absolut überteuert. In der Zwischenzeit haben wir uns an einen anderen Tisch gesetzt und festgestellt wie klebrig er war. Wir haben alle eine Pizza bestellt , davon eine Wuschpizza wo man seinen Belag selbst aussuchen kann. Die Pizza war so lala. Zwar mit dickem Rand , aber mittig viel zu dünn. Es wäre nicht möglich gewesen diese auf die Hand zu nehmen um sie zu verspeisen. Übrigens ist die Pizza auf Brettchen serviert worden. Diese weisen richtige Risse auf. Ein absoluter Nährboden für Keime und Co. Was auch negativ auffällt , die Musik die zu laut abgespielt wird. Diese könnte viel dezenter im Hintergrund laufen, so das sie nicht stört. Als wir fertig waren haben wir nach der Rechnung verlangt. Mein Mann hat auf Anfrage gefragt was seine Pizza kostet weil ihm schon was komisch vorkam. Die Wunschpizza ,nur Teig mit Sosse kostet 10.50€. Das aber für jeden Belag noch Kosten draufkommen und in welcher Höhe ging aus der Speisekarte nicht hervor. Für ein bißchen Thunfisch 3€, für gekochten Schinken 2€. Mein Mann hat den Kellner darauf hingewiesen das sowas nicht ginge. Wollten auf Grund dessen den Chef sprechen . Es kam eine Frau. Mein Mann erklärte ihr die Situation. Sie zeigte kein Verständnis und sagte wir hätten ja nachfragen können und ob wir jetzt wegen 3 € diskutieren oder ob sie das jetzt selber zahlen solle. Wir beschwerten uns auch über den Preis der 0.2 Flaschen Fanta. Wir wiesen darauf hin das es gerade mal die Hälfte ihrer Gläser sei. Die Antwort sagenhaft frech von ihr,mit Eis wären die Gläser ja voll. Nur nicht jeder Gast möchte automatisch Eis haben. Der Kellner im übrigen zog die italienischen Restaurants im Umkreis negativen in den Dreck. Die Aussage die würden keine richtige Pizza verkaufen. Solche Aussagen kann man sich sparen .Auf Wunsch der Frau sollten wir die Rechnung von 51,80 € bezahlen und schnell das Restaurant verlassen und nicht wiederkommen. Zum Schluss noch eins Tische werden mit ein und dem selben Lappen sauber gemacht. Selbst wenn der auf dem Boden fällt scheint es den Kellner nicht zu interessieren. Absolut hygienisch kann ich nur sagen. Für uns das erste und letzte Mal diesen Laden betreten zu haben .Für uns nicht empfehlenswert!!!!!

Kann man nicht empfehlen.!! Das Ambiente ist schmutzig und klebrig das Essen geht gerade so. Die Pizza Brettchen sind total zerschnitten und sind teilweise geplatzt so das sich Bakterien und Keime darin sehr wohlfühlen fühlen und vermehren können. Preisleistung sind nicht miteinander vereinbar, so muss man für ein halbes Glas Fanta ( mit Eis ein ganzes 😂😂 ) 3,30 € bezahlen ohne das man darüber informiert wird. Erst wenn man im "Internet" nachgeschaut und ganz lange sucht bekommt man den Preis angezeigt. Wünschpizza kostet jeder Belag 2-3 € extra Grundpreis 10,50 € für mich Betrug und Abzocke.! Steht auch nicht dabei das kommt dann mit der Rechnung. Die Fanta war in einer angeblichen 0,2 l Flächen die offen an den Tisch gebracht wurde,kaum noch Kohlensäure vorhanden denke die standen schon länger da oder wurden einfach in der Küche wieder aufgefüllt. Neu sahen die Flächen nicht aus soviel kann ich sagen. Eine Flasche Sprudelwasser 0,75 l kosten 7,50€ ist das noch normal ? Ich kann nur jedem empfehlen diesen Laden zu meiden. Zumal man noch nichtmals davor zurück schreckt die anderen Pizzarien auf der selben Straße als Dreck zu bezeichnen. Sind nach einer Beschwerde rausgeworfen worden und sollen nicht wieder kommen das sagt schon alles.!! 😡😡😡

We went here for dinner with a small family group. First of all, we were welcomed very nicely. We were also looked after in a friendly and humorous way. The pizzas we ordered were well above average. What more could you want to celebrate a nice end to the day? See you next time.

We reserved a table for New Year's Eve and trusted the reviews. The employees greeted us very friendly and we had a nice window seat. The order was taken quickly and served quickly. The two pizzas were very different. One was good the other was bad. She was badly burned. Unfortunately, no one was interested and although the service staff continually walked past our table, they didn't even ask if everything was OK. After we finished one pizza quite quickly and couldn't really eat the other, we had to ask the service staff to clear the table and bring us the bill after quite a long time. Unfortunately, no one was open to criticism and we paid the entire price. We won't eat here anymore.
