Sehr nettes Personal und sehr gutes Essen

Unser Besuch war wirklich rundum hervorragend. Wir waren ehrlich gesagt positiv überrascht, weil man bei vielen griechischen Restaurants in Deutschland oft ähnliche Gerichte und ähnliche Qualität bekommt, hier war das aber definitiv anders. Besonders das Gyros ist uns sofort aufgefallen: Das Fleisch hatte eine richtig tolle Qualität, war saftig, perfekt gewürzt und eben nicht totgebraten, wie man es leider oft erlebt. Man hat gemerkt, dass hier hochwertige Fleischstücke verwendet werden und mit viel Sorgfalt gearbeitet wird. Dazu kamen richtig gute Pommes, leckerer Reis mit angenehmer Konsistenz und insgesamt einfach ein sehr stimmiges Essen. Für uns gehört dieses Restaurant definitiv zu den besten Griechen, bei denen wir bisher waren. Dazu kommt noch das super freundliche Personal .. man fühlt sich direkt willkommen. Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis passt absolut. Klare Weiterempfehlung!

Hatte Glück, noch einen Platz zu kriegen ,weiö ich direkt um 17.30 da wsr. Fantastisches Essen und sehr freundliche Bedienung.

Waren zum Kurzurlaub in Regensburg und hatten uns für den Griechen entschieden. Waren 2mal zum essen dort. Uns hat es sehr geschmeckt. Toller, freundlicher Service, leckere Gerichte. Ob Fisch oder Fleisch....sehr sehr gut. Rundherum sehr zu empfehlen, in allen Dingen. Liebe Grüsse

Wir waren schon desöfteren hier und sind noch nie enttäuscht worden. Der Service war wie immer freundlich & zügig. Auf das Essen/Vorspeise mussten wir nicht lange warten. Wir kommen aufjedenfall wieder. Das Knoblauchbrot als Vorspeiße kann ich empfehlen. Gyros/Kalamari als Hauptspeise ein Klassiker und vom Nachtisch waren wir absolut begeistert: Galakatobureko

Das Restaurant liegt etwas versteckt nahe dem Dom im 1. OG. Von der Ankunft bis zum Verlassen des Lokals war alles wunderbar, wir können das Restaurant zu 100% weiterempfehlen. Die Bedienung war super freundlich und schnell! Da ich nicht so der Salat Fan bin, wurde mir als Alternative Pita-Brot gebracht, sehr zuvorkommend. Das Essen liegt zwar preislich etwas höher, war aber sein Geld wert. Reichliche Portionen mit sehr guter Qualität und richtig lecker. Ouzo aufs Haus vor und nach dem Essen runden unsere Erfahrung ab. Wir würden hier gerne öfter einkehren oder auch wiederkommen, wenn wir wieder in Regensburg sind.😋👌

Sehr schönes griechisches Restaurant. Alles war lecker.

War rundum sehr zufrieden. Obwohl ich nicht reserviert hatte, bekam ich nach kurzer Wartezeit einen Tisch. Der Service war sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Als Vorspeise hatte ich Tarama, das etwas minimalistisch nur mit ein wenig Dill garniert war. Geschmacklich war es super. Gyros Calamari danach war ein Träumchen. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Wir waren gestern mit 10 Personen beim Griechen. Empfang und Service sehr freundlich. Essen war sehr lecker und Portionen ausreichend. Wir waren rundum zufrieden und werden bei einem weiterem Besuch in Regensburg gerne wieder hier einkehren.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal hier, ein Wahnsinn wie der Kunde bedient wird, sehr freundlich, schnell, grosse Portionen und super Qualität. Es schmeckt genauso getrieben in Griechenland es gibt kein Unterschied. Wir kommen wieder. Sind aus Passau und der Weg wenn eine Besichtigung machen möchte lohnt sich immer. Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit bei Ihnen.

Für mich der beste Grieche in Regensburg. Obwohl die Betreiber Polen sind. Seit Jahrzehnten absolut empfehlenswert.

Service sehr aufmerksam und freundlich. Portionen sind viel zu klein, erst recht für den stolzen Preis. Fleisch und Gyros sind zwar gut bis sehr gut, allerdings sind die Beilagen mangelhaft. Abgesehen davon, dass Erbsenreis in Griechenland so nicht existiert, war dieser auch gar nicht mal so lecker und überkocht. Das Tzatziki ist unterdurchschnittlich. Salat war gut. Extra Ouzo ist nett, aber eine normale Portion Essen, von der man satt wird, wäre mir lieber gewesen.

We come here three to four times a year to eat. This Greek restaurant appeals to the whole family. The dishes are a decent size and not overly generous. The ingredients are fresh, and the salad is crisp.

I really don't understand where all the 5-star reviews are coming from. This might be the first time I've ever seen a table with four legs. The food isn't bad, but almost €90 for a platter of standard food, a water, and a Coke is too much. I wasn't full and didn't feel like I got anything for €90.

I cannot rate food of the venue as i did not try it. Although the waitress or manager shout on customers what was very unprofessional and stressful. Restaurant was extremely busy (which is not a problem itself) whereas we have made reservation way ahead.

I was there with my grandchildren to eat gyros with rice and children's gyros with fries, salad and taramas and bread. It is really plentiful and delicious, the service was fast and good 👍 Today, August 17th, I was at the Greek restaurant at the Herzogshof for the second time with my grandchildren. The food was delicious as always 😋 plentiful and good And as always, good friendly service 👍

Professional service, good food, feel good

Absolutely nothing to complain about. This is what you imagine Greek food to be, and this is what you get here. The appetizers are delicious, the gyros are tender and juicy, and the service is attentive. Nothing to complain about, we'll be happy to come back.

Very good food and it tastes delicious. You get a lot for your money on your plate. Unfortunately, we had to wait a bit because they were short on a temporary employee that day. Unfortunately, it was noticeable, as the wait was a bit long. Hope it will be better next time.

If I could, I wouldn't give any stars. I ordered gyros pitas. I got a fake doner kebab from Temu with coleslaw, cucumbers, and leaf salad??? In Greece, gyros pitas are served with gyros, maybe souvlaki with tomatoes, tatziki, and fries, nothing else!!!!! I don't understand why anyone would open a Greek restaurant if they can't get the dishes right!!!!!!

We visited the restaurant because of the many positive reviews. We had high expectations, but unfortunately, we were disappointed. Even our first impression didn't match the praise we'd read online. Our table was right next to a busy road with a construction site nearby. Unfortunately, we were constantly subjected to loud engine noises and swanky cars throughout our meal. While this may not be the restaurant's fault, it still contributes significantly to the atmosphere. The service was more reminiscent of a simple snack bar than an upscale restaurant. We were repeatedly brought the wrong dishes, and the waitress asked us repeatedly if we had already ordered. The meal itself was also disappointing. The bread served tasted like discount store fare, the wine was poured so carelessly that it was more like lemonade, and the salad lacked basic seasoning. We found the prices significantly inflated for what was offered. Overall, the experience was too rustic; the typical Greek flair we were hoping for was completely lacking. Considering this restaurant's reputation as one of the best Greek restaurants in the city, neither the service, food, nor the ambiance lived up to our expectations. We spent the entire evening and even the next morning talking about this disappointing visit. Unfortunately, we don't recommend it.

Nice Greek restaurant in the city center. Attentive staff, friendly, polite, and engaging. However, the price-performance ratio is unjustified. A gyro for €19.50 is simply too much.

The food was okay, but kind of pricey for what you get. Furthermore the place was average and our table was wobbly, which made the experience less comfortable.

Wir waren als Nicht-Regensburger beim "besten Griechen" und waren sehr enttäuscht. Die Gerichte waren zwar reichlich aber überteuert.. Am schlimmsten war die Metaxa-Soße. Wir haben sie sofort reklamiert und zurückgeben (wurde von der "Chefin" trotzdem in Rechnung gestellt). Toller Service !!! Kleiner Tip: bitte bestellt euch kein Gericht mit Metaxa-Soße.

Good value for money by today's standards. The grilled baby calamari is tender as butter, and the tzatziki is delicious. The staff is friendly and quick. And it's one of the restaurants open on Mondays.

It's a shame, a great evening came to a stupid end. There was a large group, everyone paid and I was the last one and had to pay for something I didn't have. The waitress said it was on the bill and had to be paid. Unfortunately it doesn't work for me at all. Really not accommodating. For a bottle of water. I am very upset.

We were there on April 13th. 25 there and we (6 people) were totally thrilled by the great service, the friendliness and the great food, everything tasted great and also looked great. What really impressed us was the vegetarian menu, very diverse and with a bit of everything. If we are in Regensburg again, we will happily eat here again. Thanks for the great evening 👍

The best Greek in Regensburg! The food is terrific, the portions are large, you can choose two different dressings for the side salad, and there's plenty of ouzo if you need it. The service is totally friendly, courteous, not intrusive, you don't miss anything as a guest. The boss is a soul of a human being. Be sure to make a reservation, the restaurant is not too big and is always full. I've often waited in front of the door with several people shortly before opening time, I think that speaks for itself. Keep it up, we would love to come to you. Thank you!

Today something negative for the first time in years. As a starter of Paprika Florinis (roasted peppers filled with feta) I got 1 (one) medium-sized baked pepper that came 100% from a jar. A huge disappointment for 10 euros. Unfortunately, gyros weren't as usual either, the meat never saw any gyros herbs or Greek sea salt. The quantities of tzatziki have shrunk in austerity mode. Squid rings tasteless and limited to 5 pieces. Only whole baby calamaris can be used here, not frozen rings. Definitely time for changes and refinements when it comes to eating. Then try it, no moi.

We arrived at a slightly late hour with a group of 5 people and were warmly welcomed. The portions were mega and the taste was really excellent. The waitresses were extremely nice and you could chat very well with the daughter of the house. I can really only recommend this restaurant.

We have been there many times and it is always excellent. Food tastes very good. Portions are large and therefore value for money is ok. Staff is always friendly. The restaurant is on the upper floor. It's a little narrow, so it's sometimes noisy, but that doesn't bother us. We'll definitely come back for dinner more often.

We started with the appetizer platter (for one person. This came very quickly and was also very tasty. This is the perfect place for garlic lovers. Then we ordered main courses. These also came very promptly and were plentiful and very tasty. The service was very friendly and always immediately there if you wanted to order something...highly recommended.

We spontaneously went out for dinner on Sunday. Reservation worked great. The food was delicious, there was ouzo on the house and great service. The price is a little higher, but the portions are large, everything was fresh and hot! We would love to come back.

Absolutely first-class atmosphere combined with entertainment talent from the head of the house, Anna! All waitresses are always very attentive when ordering and treat guests professionally, high praise!! The restaurant is usually fully booked, so it's fair to say that the stress level among the staff is high. The short waiting time is shortened with an invigorating ouzo on the house, great! The attractively prepared food tastes great, large portions and is simply perfectly delicious. For us by far the BEST Greek in Regensburg...!!! Every visit is a special experience! Recommendation: to secure an evening, it's best to call at least 1 week in advance to get a guaranteed spot! We are really looking forward to our next restaurant visit to the Herzogshof!

Gyros was great but the fillet skewer was far too dry

Very nice Greek restaurant. The staff was very friendly and with heart. We took the Rhodes plate with skewers, gyros, calamari, 1 shrimp, rice and tzatziki. What can I say, very, very tasty. The skewer was also juicy and tender. We can fully recommend “The Greek”.

Das Essen wae in Ordnung - das Übliche vom Griechen halt. Keine Sterneküche, aber für Gyros & Co. in Ordnung. Bei den Preisen sieht es jedoch anders aus. Da hat man fast das Gefühl, in einem Sternerestaurant zu sein. Nun ja, wir hätten vielleicht zuvor im Netz in die Karte schauen sollen.

Been here today 9/20/24. After a long time we decided on the Greek at the ducal court. Since I have been very positively surprised in the past, we thought we would eat here again. Service as always very friendly. Trz. Due to occupancy we were offered a place until 7 p.m. We once ordered calamari without rice & trio calamari. All in all it was very nice except that when the food came I was personally very shocked. The calamari plate, which makes a difference of €1 compared to the trio plate, I was actually a bit amazed by the amount. Sure, I ordered without rice but that shouldn't make a big difference. Than what I'm normally used to on a calamari plate. Hence the star deduction. I think it's cheeky to charge €21 for a plate like this with 5 small rings of calamari on it. In relation to the trio plate, which is definitely more filled with a €1 difference. Otherwise we have nothing to complain about. Unfortunately, that's one reason why I can't decide on this Greek guy anymore.

Immediately after our holiday in Poland and the Baltic Sea, we wanted to go out for a Greek meal for a change and decided on this restaurant. Absolute mistake. The native language in this restaurant is Polish, and people shout and curse in Polish. Even at the table the service staff talk to each other in Polish, in a Greek restaurant. Just not a Greek atmosphere. The choice of dishes is also a thing. Plates are usually only available with 3-5 different types of meat. Both left more than half on their plates. Prices for this service are very high. And as written, a Polish flair. We won't come anymore.

We were here on a Sunday. The service was super friendly and the food was excellent. The food came very quickly. The restaurant is beautifully rustic decorated. Unfortunately there are no outdoor areas. The restaurant is located on the upper floor and is not wheelchair accessible.

There were several of us. The food was consistently praised. I ordered a family platter for 2 people, which the three of us ate. This contained a nice selection of different meat dishes. Vegetables and rice could have been a little more. Otherwise, such a platter is enough for 3 people or ideal for 2 who are very hungry. Service was really great. Appetizers are also recommended. I had to pass on the dessert. It is also an advantage that you can find out in advance on the website what food and drinks are on offer.

A delicious Greek restaurant near the cathedral. The building on the first floor has a long history behind it. The name Herzogshof has no meaning here. Super nice people and the food is just great. We have been there several times now and we have always been very satisfied. The small outdoor area is also very great in summer. Always my pleasure.

I don't understand the good reviews at all. The ouzo was warm. Taramas was not creamy but watery and had hardly any taste. The grill plate wasn't even average. No spices or flavor whatsoever. Calamari breaded, totally chewy and no taste at all. It's a shame about a lot of money.
