Food was delicious & excellent service!

Completely crazy, these guys. Ordered: two pizzas, one salami and one spinach, with two drinks. Get: two pizza spinach. Nothing else. Tips are automatically withheld and rounded up without being asked. There is another Italian restaurant 50 meters further north in Grindelhof that is good, and there is another one right next to the Etruscan that is ok. just for your information...

The lunch menu, 3 menues to choose from, was very good for the price, there was a soup first and a small salad for the main course.

Overrated restaurant. We ordered lasagne, it was extremely runny with almost only sauce and cheese in it, hardly any meat or noodles. Service okay, not exactly warm. You can, but you don't have to go back.

An institution. We always enjoy visiting the Etruscans. My favorite is the calamari a la griglia.

Here you sit right in the middle of the action. See and be seen. Large outdoor area. Very friendly and quick staff. Unfortunately the food is just mediocre 🥱 I had the "original" spagetti cabonara. Unfortunately it was pretty bland and hardly seasoned. But a nice place for a glass of wine

Wonderful atmosphere, tasty food! The salmon with the pink sauce was fantastic, cooked to perfection, moist and juicy on the inside!

Were again in Hamburg, my hometown of times gone by! A meal at the Etruscans was a must during the visit! Had liver alla Veneziana from lunch today (05/06/21). First of all, cauliflower soup and mixed salad, with white bread. Soup is super tasty and the liver Veneziana is simply great! Small pieces with onions and delicious sauce.

Pizza tastes like frozen. Tables too narrow.

Delicious food, large selection of dishes and drinks, great atmosphere, friendly and attentive staff. I thought I was in Italy, as an Italian I can definitely recommend it. Gladly again!

It was my first time eating at Etruscan and I would like to give it 0 stars. Unfortunately, I have never eaten so badly. At the beginning there was bread and a dip, which had to be eaten on the table because there were no plates. These only came with the appetizer platter. The noodles were still hard and so salty that I (and I've never done anything like this before) let half of them go back. I was actually shocked at the pizza. It was a bad frozen pizza and had nothing in common with an Italian pizza. The other dishes also left a lot to be desired and the grilled calamari went straight back. Unfortunately, when the complaint came up, it was not responded to as one would have hoped. There were backlash, ignorance and a lack of apology. Every other table was offered a nightcap, which we especially tended to forget. I don't know that. Never, never again!

Bad restaurant, very unfriendly staff!! How this restaurant can supposedly have so many positive reviews (probably bought many) and supposedly won awards (according to the stickers on the door) is a mystery to me... It starts with the bad service. Inattentive waiters playing on their cell phones is not good service in my opinion. I am aware that in some restaurants cell phones are used to take orders, but this is definitely not the case here. We tried out how long it takes for the waiter to notice that we want to order new bread and drinks. The head waiter sat in front of his cell phone for a whole 3 minutes, then brought us 1 of the 3 beers we ordered and the bread, well he forgot about that... Let's get to the food: All I can say is that the frozen pizza from the discounter next door not only tastes better, but I think everyone gets the point of not being banned from serving it. The remaining meals were completely oversalted, tasteless and/or sour. Here they definitely buy things cheaply, prepare them poorly and sell them at unsympathetic prices. Some of us had to return our food because it was completely burnt and tasteless. The waiters then became unsympathetic, uncomfortable, and slightly aggressive, saying that everyone else in the restaurant liked it and that it had been served that way for 50 years. Maybe we were the only ones who dared to say something... Not to mention that 3 wrong dishes were served at the next table and no one dared to say anything. If I ordered fish from the grill (like the people sitting next to me did), I would be reluctant to get fish from the oven. But everyone has to know that for themselves. When we paid and left, the waiters didn't say a word to us. Correct child behavior from adult men. Sad. The bill was slammed on the table and none of us received an apology, nor a drink like the others in the restaurant. I rarely write negative reviews, but on that bad evening there was no other option... It's better to go to the discounter next door and cook for yourself, it's not only cheaper but also better quality.

Very nice shop, family atmosphere, let us in after 11 p.m. and served us very tasty pizzas. We will be back.

Nice little Italian restaurant with friendly staff and a rustic atmosphere

Friendly restaurant in Italian style with reasonable prices for this location.

Plain text in advance: I have never eaten so badly in my life! In addition: Unfriendly and inattentive service. Despite the well-filled room, two of the waiters always found enough time to spend a lot of time on their cell phones or to have a smoke in front of the door. Out of 6 dishes, 1 plate was okay. 2 a disgrace and 3 simply inedible. We complained to 2 people straight away. The answer was arrogant: the other people in the restaurant would probably like it since we were the only complainers. Spaghetti not cooked through (yes, I know Aldente, but it was hard here), the seafood was absolutely hard and overcooked and completely over-salted, the liver, the best of the worst, was overcooked, the sauce was too fatty and totally over-salted. The pizza was a hefty price, but it has nothing in common with the pizzas you can see in some of the pictures here, but rather a frozen pizza from a discounter that was left in the oven for too long, also in terms of taste. The pasta with duck ragout only tasted like tomato, not like duck and was too salty. The grilled calamari came tasteless with no sauce or side dishes and completely unseasoned. Were burnt and the tiny salad was sour that you couldn't eat it. The 'substitute' was then just thawed, but just as tasteless. So that I don't get labeled as a notorious complainer (it's a popular game here), the vitello tonnato was really good. Unfortunately the only highlight, otherwise it would have been -1 stars. The rest of the Etruscan starter plate was medium to poor. So the Vitello was probably bought in, which is completely okay for me given the high quality of this only dish. Even when the restaurant was half empty, bread was only available after we asked twice, and drinks too. The cell phone was just too captivating. The likeable founder used to work in the kitchen herself. I don't know who is currently doing this, but the basic principles of the kitchen seem to be completely foreign to them. Either the last few reviews were to order or we were just unlucky. Paying over 200 euros for it still annoys me today. I'd rather go to Luigi's in the Portuguese Quarter. I've never been disappointed there. No apology received, the bill was slammed on the table with the reader and ignored on the way out. A failed evening, the birthday was ruined. Good thing we at least had a good dessert and a nightcap at home. Never again!

Die Pizza ist nicht zum empfehlen

Super Ristorante, Service mit Herz, war das erste Mal hier und komme bestimmt wieder, essen war lecker. Sehr klein, aber kuschelig.

Das Thunfisch Steak ist lecker, die Pizza leider eine Katastrophe. habe noch nie so eine schlechte Pizza gegessen. Das Personal leider auch sehr unfreundlich und versteht teilweise nur schlecht deutsch. Was natürlich eigentlich kein Problem ist, bis man dann wiederholt das falsche Essen serviert bekommt.

Veldig hyggelig familierestaurant med meget velsmakende tradisjonell italiensk mat til en rimelig pris. Vi var et selskap på fire som som spiste fire hovedretter, to desserter og to karafler av husets rødvin for 150 euro. Fantastiske lammekoteletter! Maten kom i rause porsjoner og råvarene var utmerkete. Restauranten er liten og tett møblert, så gjestene kan ikke ha klaustrofobi, men dette er noe av sjarmen med stedet. Det var kun en servitør til stede så det tok av og til litt tid til å få kontakt. Vi kommer tilbake!

Alles Quatsch, was schlechte Bewertungen hier erzählen.. wenn der Service nicht super schnell war, dann halt weil es super voll war, weil es Hamburgs bester Italiener ist ☺️

Kleiner Laden, überschaubare Karte, aber sehr lecker, frisch und günstig. Man sollte unbedingt reservieren.

Schönes Ambiente im italienischen Style. Service sehr zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Es gab zur Vorspeise vorweg Oliven und eine Tomatenpaste mit einem sehr leckeren Baguette. Bitte beibehalten. Unter anderem eine perfekte Lasagne zum Hauptgang und ein gutes Preis- und Leistungsverhältnis. Kommen gerne wieder 🇮🇹👍

Die Steaks sind gut, Beilagen- nach Wunsch- Salat oder Gemüse/Kartoffeln etwas sehr wenig. Desserts waren gut. Espresso-sowieso kleine Tasse- etwas zuwenig

Extrem lecker, nettes Personal Sehr empfehlenswert!!

Wir waren an einem Sonntag dort. Spontan nach einem Regenguss wollten wir drinnen sitzen, weil es durch den Regen sehr kalt draußen war. Der Kellner meinte , drinnen geht nicht ( obwohl drinnen alles leer war), da angeblich alle auf der Terasse sitzen müssen. Über uns war ein Heizstrahler. Als wir darum baten , den Heizstrahler anzumachen kam der 2. Kellner dazu und meinte , dass die Strahler ausbleiben müssen, weil es sonst Ärger mit der Polizei gibt. Komische Aussage. Ich wäre am liebsten gegangen und hätte woanders gegessen aber meine Familie hatte Hunger und wollte nicht noch mal in ein anderes Restaurant. Das Essen war okay aber nichts besonderes. Lieblos angerichtet, es gibt um Welten bessere italienische Restaurants. Zu guter letzt standen beide Kellner zwischendurch immer wieder auf der Terrasse und haben geraucht. Ich komme selbst aus der Gastronomie und viele von uns rauchen auch. Aber niemals vor den Gästen ! Das gehört sich überhaupt nicht zumal zwischendurch immer wieder Teller serviert wurden. Hände waschen? Da möchte ich doch lieber keinen Blick in die Küche werfen.

Ich bin zu Besuch in Hamburg und wir sind sonntags Abends in das Lokal gegangen, haben sofort einen Tisch für drei Personen bekommen. Als Vorspeise hatten wir Antipasti Etrusker von der Wochenkarte und als Hauptgericht hatte ich Spaghetti mit Meeresfrüchte, beides war sehr lecker. Die Pizza die ein Kollege hatte sah auch gut aus, kommt aber nicht an die Pasta heran . Ich empfehle daher auf jeden Fall Pasta sowie Meeresfrüchte und Fisch!

Sehr leckeres Essen zu sehr moderaten Preisen. Leider 1 Minuspunkt: Toilette ziemlich unschön, Bedienung unaufmerksam

Super leckerer günstiger Mittagstisch, für 11,50 € eine probierte Erbsensuppe, eine kleine Schale, Salat , Brot und gegrillter Lachs. Super nette Bedienung, alles schnell.

Sehr freundliche Bedienung (junge Frau)! Es gibt vor ab von der Küche Oliven und Tomaten-Aufstrich mit Brot. Nur FlaschenBier! Hatte die schlechteste Pizza meines Lebens bekommen, sowohl geschmacklich als auch der Boden. Hatte das Gefühl eine Tiefkühlpizza von A.... bekommen zu haben. Schlimm! Der Koch kann kein Italiener sein. Er sollte besser am Flughafen als .... arbeiten

Zum Mitnehmen bestellt und vor Ort gewartet - die Pizza Vegetariana war sehr gut und die Nudeln in Tomatensahnesauce (so nicht auf der Karte, wurde mir dennoch zubereitet) innerhalb von 5 min verschlungen, hätte noch eine essen können einfach nur weil so lecker

Der Service war mäßig, wirkte etwas angestrengt, wir wurden nach dem Essen nicht mehr nach einem weiteren Getränk gefragt. Wir wurden praktisch ignoriert. Das Essen war gut, aber der Service sehr sehr mäßig

Gutes Bruschetta, durchwachsner Hauptgang. Aber das man nur bar oder mit EC-Karte zahlen kann, ist schwer zu verstehen. Wir sind nicht mehr im Jahr 1995 sondern mittlerweile 2023…

Italiener wie er im Buche stehen würde. Recht eng, ziemlich Laut, in die Jahre gekommene "Taverne", Fußball läuft (stumm) über den großen Bildschirm und die Belegschaft fiebert mit. Das Essen war lecker und der Service freundlich. Es sah nach viel Stammpublikum aus.

Immer wieder schön hier essen zu gehen. Der Etrusker gehört zu unseren Stammlokalen. Es ist im Sommer immer etwas wie im Urlaub. Essen gut, Getränke gut, Service top! Gute Laune!

Super godt sted, som havde helt styr på kundeservice, dog skulle vi vente længere end normalt på maden. Alligevel resulterede det i, en god aften med lækker mad.

Der Besuch beim Etrusker war eine spontane Entscheidung. Und manchmal wird man für Spontanität belohnt. Erfrischende Gastlichkeit, gepaart mit einer sehr authentischen Küche sowie süffigem Vino de la Casa.

Beim letzten Mal haben wir hier den Mittagstisch eingenommen und waren restlos begeistert. Wir hatten uns für Ricotta Ravioli mit Tomatensosse entschieden und waren überrascht, das wir für kleines Geld ein ganzes Menü serviert bekamen. Vorweg eine köstliche Karottensuppe mit leichter Schärfe, super lecker. Dann die wirklich köstlichen Ravioli frisch und heiß in einer köstlichen Tomatensosse und noch einen leckeren Salat dabei. Die Bedienung war bester Laune, fröhlich und aufmerksam und freundlich zu jedem Gast. Wir kommen wieder:))

Wir gehen zu jeder Jahreszeit gerne in das Restaurant! Es ist stets gut und der Service immer hilfsbereit und zuvorkommend. Besonders schön ist es in den warmen Tagen, da vergeht die Zeit draußen wie im Flug. Wenn es sehr voll ist, kann es mal etwas dauern, was aber absolut im Rahmen ist. Wer im Grindelviertel in Hamburg gut und nicht zu teuer essen gehen möchte, der sollte das Restaurant besuchen.

Hier steht tatsächlich die Mama in der Küche. Das Essen war wirklich klasse. Wir hatten Wachtel und Dorade (ganzer Fisch). Ich esse sehr gern und oft Dorade. Ich hatte in Deutschland noch NIE eine so saftige, leckere und glasige Dorade als hier bei "Mama". Das war ganz grosse Klasse. Auch das hausgemachte Tiramisu war lecker. Papa und die Söhne sind im Service. Wir hatten sehr viel Spaß und haben sehr viel gelacht. Die Jungs sind sehr aufmerksam, sehr freundlich und sehr lustig.

Mein Mann und ich kommen seit 20 Jahren, mein Mann noch länger, in dieses kleine Lokal. Es ist jedes mal ein kleiner Urlaub. Das Lokal ist zwar nicht auf dem neuesten Stand was die Inneneinrichtung angeht, aber das macht gerade seinen Charme aus. Man sitzt an relativ kleinen Tischen und wenn das Lokal richtig voll ist, ist es halt wie in Italien. Sehr gerne sitze ich vorne links vor der Küche. Auf das Essen kann man sich verlassen; es ist jedes Mal wieder lecker. Sehr zu empfehlen sind die Pizzen, Loup de Mer, Crespelle (Teigrollen gefüllt mit Ricotta und Spinat) in leckerer Tomatensosse. Das Tiramisu ist ein Pflicht. Wir werden noch ganz viele weitere Jahre dort hingehen.

Vorspeise war versalzen. Hauptgang war so versalzen, dass man ihn nicht essen konnte. Bei Beanstandung wurde einem nur ein "Ach Ja?" entgegnet und bei nochmaliger Bestätigung kam gar kein Kommentar mehr. Es passierte nichts... Zeitweise recht laut - hängt stark vom Nachbartisch ab.

Wir waren froh, mitten in der Woche ohne Reservierung einen Tisch für zwei in dem kleinen Lokar zu erhalten. Es gibt auch hier saisonale Tagesspezialitäten. Der Service von Mama Luisas Familie ist unaufdringlich und sehr effizient. Unsere Speisen waren solide gemacht und schmackhaft. Offensichtlich auch Stammlokal von Bewohnern Harvestehudes.
