Delphi in Oranienburg

Four of us ate there last night and I have to honestly say that the service, from at least one member of staff, completely ruined our evening! Not a friendly word, no eye contact and a loud sigh when we tried to make room on the already small table for the starter. We have never experienced anything like that at any other restaurant. But there is something good about it too... we will not be eating there again and definitely cannot recommend it as a place for a pleasant evening. Sorry but even the food, which was perfectly fine, was forgotten by this waiter. So one star for the service is unfortunately too many. Oh and if you expect to be asked if you would like something to drink, you have unfortunately come to the wrong place.

We hadn't been here for a while and had the impression that the quality had deteriorated. The starters were delicious... garlic bread and grilled pepperoni with tzatziki... the main courses... Thessaloniki plate, Mykonos plate, gyros and chicken breast fillet... the meat was quite dry, the garlic potatoes unfortunately weren't as crispy as they used to be, the fries were limp and overall there was very little tzatziki... It's a shame, it's just too expensive for that.

We have often been guests in the restaurant, even when it was completely overcrowded, but we have never experienced anything like what happened on March 8th. The reserved table was still full of dishes. The waiters were completely overloaded and they couldn't do anything about it. The starters were served stacked on top of each other. We only got drinks once when we ordered. We had to wait forever for our bill. If two waiters are absent, you have to find a replacement or close parts of the restaurant. Our men apologized to us for the unsuccessful evening. Nothing like this evening is possible. We were very disappointed.

Because of the hustle and bustle, the welcome schnapps was placed on my son's hand. This caused him to fall over and all the blue paint was spread on the table and child. No apology or help. The children received 1/2 liter of drinks without asking. Way too much! The food was better before. The carrot salad in the salad was fermented. No understanding of gluten intolerance. It is still delivered in puff pastry, even though it was expressly omitted. All in all, many different waiters, some of whom don't speak German or English, expensive and poor quality. Unfortunately, the Greeks here in Oberhavel are all bad and do not reflect real Greek cuisine. You have better luck in Berlin.

Der Willkommensschnaps wurde vor lauter Hektik auf der Hand meines Sohnes gestellt. Dadurch fiel er um und die ganze blaue Farbe verteilte sich auf Tisch und Kind. Keine Entschuldigung oder Hilfe. Die Kinder haben ungefragt 1/2 Liter Getränke bekommen. Viel zu viel! Das Essen war schon einmal besser. Der Möhrensalat im Salat war gegoren. Kein Verständnis für Glutenunverträglichkeit. Es wird trotzdem im Blätterteig...geliefert, obwohl ausdrücklich darauf verzichtet wurde. Alles in allem viele verschiedene Kellner, zum Teil nicht der deutschen oder englischen Sprache mächtig, teuer und schlechte Qualität. Leider sind die Griechen hier in Oberhavel allesamt schlecht und spiegeln nicht die wirkliche griechische Küche wider. Da hat man in Berlin mehr Glück.

The food was great and the musical entertainment from 10 p.m. was really great. We would love to come back.

We were there on a Saturday evening and it was incredibly crowded. The waiters seemed overwhelmed. The food was okay, but Ouzo was only available upon request and ordering drinks was difficult. Too bad!

We waited 1 hour to order the drinks. The salad came without cutlery. We had to ask about that too. Ouzo was served sparingly and we were only able to pay after several attempts after other guests complained for the same reason.

We had takeaway food. My moussaka for €19.40!!! was probably more of a children's portion. Very unfortunate!!! I paid with vouchers. We had a value of €120, the meal cost €113.25 and the rest was simply kept. It's a shame how it's handled.

The restaurant is highly praised in our neighborhood, so we wanted to try it out. I didn't think it was that great there myself. It was very, very crowded and therefore very, very loud. Comfort is different. I also didn't find the food that tasty. The tzatziki was very creamy, which I didn't like, and the gyros were too mixed. The service was good, but we had to wait a good 20 minutes for our bill. Next time we'll go to our favorite Greek restaurant again.

In principle not bad, quite a large Greek restaurant, but without any special flair. The food is good average for a Greek restaurant in this country: lots of meat, large portions, lots of garlic. Even if the dishes don't offer any particular surprises, one has to admit that everything was well prepared, nothing burnt, oversalted or dripping with fat. Prices aren't necessarily cheap, but they're okay for the size of the portions. TL, DR: large Greek restaurant with average food in the best sense of the word, nothing outstanding, but no failures either.

My wife and I are guests almost every month. We are completely satisfied with the food, and the price is reasonable for the size of the portions. Personally, I just don't like the garlic potatoes, which I actually always swap for something else and pay the extra price accordingly. But my wife likes these. The service is usually good. The restaurant can definitely be recommended. We come from Velten because our local restaurants don't suit our personal taste. There is a parking lot on site.

Let the Sunday evening end comfortably at the favorite Greek restaurant Delphi with a delicious dinner, as always very cozy and the food was well prepared and very tasty

Wir hatten einen Tisch für 4 Personen bestellt. Als wir ankamen war keine Reservierung vermerkt..bekamen dennoch einen Tisch, allerdings unter einer Regenrinne wo es tropfte. Wir baten um einen anderen Platz. Nach langer Diskussion bekamen wir einen nahe der küche und dem Tresen. Sehr laut und hektisch. Nach ca 45 Minuten kam jemand und nahm die Getränkebestellung auf,die dann nach 20 Minuten auch kam. Weitere 60 Minuten bis zur Speisenbestellung vergingen . Meine Bekannten waren mit ihrem Essen einigermaßen zufrieden. Ich leider nicht. Ich wollte Schweinefilet mit Metaxasosse. Leider war es kein Filets sondern zähes Schweinestaek. Ich reklamierte .Immerhin kostete das Essen 24 Euro. Mit mir wurde dann diskutiert. Kein schöner Abend

Absolute disaster today! Despite reservations, 2 hours of waiting for drinks. The food was only served at some point after requests from the staff, despite their complete ignorance. It's a joke how people are treated here! Birthday was completely ruined! The patio heater failed and we We were also allowed to freeze. Thanks for the dirty evening! Will continue to exist.Family G. Eine Frechheit! Tisch bestellt, keiner da .Voll wie verrückt. Valentinstag Von 19.30- 22 Uhr gewartet, dann gab's endlich Essen, wäre es kein Geburtstag gewesen, wären wir gegangenen. Personal völlig überfordert! Alle die nach uns kamen, hatten eher Essen und waren quasi schon zu Hause als wir dran waren. Keine Karten, keine Getränke von allein. Ne Stunde aufs Getränk warten.abartig! Kein System! Dies war übrigens auch die Meinung der umliegenden Tische! Unfassbar!=nie wieder und keine Empfehlung!

On the whole you can go out to eat here. Be careful for anyone who likes to eat garlic but doesn't want to taste it for hours.

Greek food is always a good choice, but Delphi takes the taste to a new level. The food is fantastic, especially the bifteki. The restaurant offers indoor seating in the winter and outdoor seating in the summer and is also dog-friendly. The atmosphere is always great and there is plenty of parking. The staff is very helpful and yes, cards are accepted too.

For me one of the best Greeks in the area. Great food and nice conversations.

Wir waren enttäuscht, Essen war zwar gut aber überteuert. Das Ambiente des Restaurants ließ kein Wohlbehagen aufkommen. Es war außerdem kalt und zügig.

We always enjoy eating there, the winter garden is not our first choice in winter, but the Metaxa sauce is awesome 🤤 I can only recommend it 👍

I was very, very positively surprised. We were here for the Christmas party and had another lovely evening. The staff are all very welcoming and the food tastes excellent. The portions are large and the price-performance ratio is great. Always happy.

Unfortunately a feeling of eating in a train station. We had a table in the "awning" against the wall. My chair slipped behind a stone edge several times, 3 or 4 different waiters tried very hard but every time we ordered drinks or food the other 3 came a few minutes apart and asked for the same order again. The food was harmless but not very tasty.

It was horrible, we actually wanted to have a cozy St. Nicholas dinner with the family, but unfortunately it was a disaster. Despite a table reservation, no table was prepared for us. We then got one in the annex, it was so loud that you couldn't understand your own words. We were insulted by drunk guests who used their Christmas party as a cheap get-out and the waiter didn't do anything. The food was just mass production, the meat was stringy and way too expensive for the cheap products. Never again

Update December 2024: Still highly recommended. Update February 2018: After a change in ownership, the following applies again: friendly and quick service, large portions at fair prices, and above-average taste. Plus a stylish, rustic, modernized interior. A beautiful winter garden and a large terrace invite you to sit outside in summer. Just the right place to get your fill of food with friends. By the way, it makes sense to make a reservation as it is almost always very busy.

We decided to stay at the Delphi at short notice and even got a place on Saturday evening. Spacious, large restaurant. The food was great - actually the best Greek restaurant around Berlin for me. We had typical starters and a typical meat plate (souvlaki, bifteki, gyros and chicken). The meat was super juicy and grilled to perfection. The side dishes and salad went well, the starters were delicious. Also affordable and reasonable for everyone in terms of price. Small drawback (for me): we were treated to relatively loud music by Udo Jürgens, but after enough Ouzo I was even able to sing along 😂 Very friendly and attentive staff. We'll be back.

Large selection of food. The food was good. Prices are acceptable for the large portion portions. Unfortunately the staff is unprofessional. The food and drinks were passed across the table, the contents of glasses were also tipped into each other and everyone had to go to the front when paying, even though there were portable card machines. Otherwise, little attention was paid to the 8 of us. Ouzo was served once as a welcome and after complaining to the boss at the end. It was quite cold in the pavilion!!

Oh well. What can you say that the food was good, as expected and the staff tried hard and did what they were supposed to do. The ambience is terrible, a place in the "beer" tent with exposed concrete slabs as a floor where you can hardly slide onto or away from the "table". The toilets and the guest room are "shabby" and cry out for renovation. We were 2 adults and 2 children and the meal cost a total of €120 including a [children's] ouzo per person. No dessert, no lollipop for the children, no espresso... nothing, it's better and much more sophisticated in the greater Oranienburg area. We won't be coming back.

Large restaurant with plenty of parking spaces. The food is very good. The waiters are very nice, but often overwhelmed due to the large number of guests. We had to order our drinks several times before they were brought.

If I could I would give more stars, the food is always very tasty. Guests are always greeted very politely. I love the store and really enjoy being here. Window Koch also gets 12/10 stars.

Finally back at our favorite Greek restaurant. Today the beautiful, large restaurant is packed. We even had trouble getting a parking space, even though the parking lot holds an estimated 40 cars. But that doesn't surprise me. Word has probably gotten around that the food tastes fantastic. The salad plate before the main meal is plentiful. The salad is always fresh and the dressing is probably homemade. For the main course I have the Athens plate. The lamb is simply to die for. I'm addicted now! The service is quick and very friendly. The chef is a master of his craft. The price-performance ratio is absolutely unbeatable. The salad plate alone - which comes with the main course here - would cost €6 in other restaurants. The Uozo is also generously topped up. We will continue to be loyal to this great restaurant.

Great service, delicious food! The only drawback would be the toilet area, although they are clean they are clearly in use and a window is always open.

We were here for the first time today and were pleasantly surprised. Even though it was very crowded, we got a window seat. The staff was extremely friendly and the food tasted very good. The price-performance ratio is consistent. The dishes were very tasty and large. We can happily recommend this Greek guy. The long journey was worth it for us and we would love to come back. I didn't think it was that great here. But I don't judge a Greek restaurant based on how much ouzo I get for free. Unfortunately, like many "Greeks", the food is no longer really Greek! The atmosphere in the evening has something of a train station concourse and the “Ballermann music” is really annoying! But the service is nice and accommodating!

The food was very tasty and the staff was nice. The decor matches the Greek style and is quite child-friendly. The menu was extremely balanced and had dishes on the menu for all tastes and age groups. The only criticism I have is the long waiting time. I understand that with so many guests there is a lot to do in the kitchen, but 35 minutes is a bit too long in my opinion. But overall it was a great experience and it was very tasty.

Die Knoblauchkartoffeln sind super heftig und lecker, der Schafskäse schmeckt auch super und das Inhaber und Stamm-Team ist super nett. Tsaziki ist selbstgemacht und schmeckt uns besser als woanders. Lammfleisch ist auf den Punkt und nicht tot gebraten, ich verstehe hier die schlechten Bewertungen nicht. Tolles Restaurant mit viel Gastfreundschaft und sehr schönem Ambiente. Klare Empfehlung von uns. Besonders schön, aber zu selten sind die Tanzabende. Über die gestiegenen Preise kann man meckern, ist aber ja hier kein Einzelfall und man sollte aber da nicht der Gastronomie die Schuld geben.

Unfortunately, if you know a Greek restaurant, you know almost all of them. Unfortunately, such restaurants are becoming more and more similar. Lots of staff, the food was okay, but nothing special! No vegan dishes available! The food was at the table very quickly after ordering. Unfortunately the price performance is not right! Somehow the creativity was missing!

We just went there for ice cream and something to drink. The dessert was large, unfortunately the ice cream itself tasted very cheap. They charged us for 1 dish that we didn't order out of 4 items we ordered and didn't apologize.

You could also have gone to a snack bar there. Garlic potatoes are just fried potato slices with a spoonful of minced garlic on top. My grilled chicken fillet was more than well done and quite tough, as was my company's food. It was difficult to even cut it so tightly "fried to death" Wishes cannot be made possible because everything is said to be “finished” in portions. Only the garlic bread was really tasty. Service ok, but not outstanding. All in all, we will eat somewhere else soon because we know better places.

You feel like you're eating your food in the station hall, loud, lots of people, unrest and no comfort. The staff is rushed and doesn't listen to you, let alone understand you at all. The food is mediocre

This was our first visit here with 4 people in the evening. We were amazed at how full it was, everything in the parking lot, with space for 50 cars, was full. They found a place for us in the restaurant itself, which was also well attended in the outdoor area. The menu was great, there was already the smell of garlic in the air. Drinks Drinks were served quickly and the food came quickly too. We were very surprised that, despite hundreds of guests, there was no food jam. A greeting from the host in the form of Ouho was also served free of charge and given away. The food was super tasty and everything was garnished with plenty of garlic. We enjoyed it very much, it wasn't our last visit here.

Really tasty!! The starters were so delicious that we were actually already full by the time we got to the main course. You have to order the pepperoni!! The staff is reserved and cool...but friendly. We would be happy to come back.

Nice restaurant with good food.

After 40 minutes, leave the restaurant because no one takes orders, but people regularly walk past the table. Other tables that came after us already had their food there. Service used to be better.

This isn't our first time here. We were 4 people What most people care about is how was the food. In short, the food is great, although that's a matter of taste. We had chicken twice, once with cream sauce. And two lamb skewers, once the children's portion, a lava cake. A mixed salad was offered with all dishes A beer, a cola, a shake, an iced tea, 2 times sex on the beach. There was ouzo to no avail. We had 5 shots each. Sometimes you can tip a little more. The service was first class The prices are debatable. While some people say it's expensive, I think it's quite moderate compared to our last vacation in Italy. The waiters don't understand what you're ordering and the needs of children are not taken into account. Lucky is the one who gets the right food. The portions are large, but they don't taste good. The fish was a disaster and the other dishes were very greasy. Definitely not a recommendation, and we won't be coming back.

It is signposted that you can only pay in cash or with an EC card. There was no sign anywhere that Visa cards (not credit cards!) were not accepted and we had to go to the bank again to be able to pay the bill in cash. The waiter claimed that our bank card was a credit card and therefore it wouldn't work. He showed me what a “real” EC card looks like. You feel ripped off and not taken seriously! We ordered to take away, then realized at home that we got 15 instead of 75... even though we had expressly said that we wanted the calamari. In terms of communication, you really have to make sure that you get what you ordered. I'm more than disappointed!
