Altstadtklause in Oranienburg

Essen war schmackhaft, guter Service und eine angenehme Atmosphäre. Wir waren bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal dort gewesen sein.

Wir waren heut in der Altstadtklause essen und können sagen, dass es sehr lecker war! Wir haben uns wohlgefühlt und kommen gern wieder! Die Kellnerinnen sind absolut megaaaa!!! Sehr sehr nett!!!!!

Edit: mittlerweile sind die Schnitzel ganz schön "braun" geworden. Ich werde da nicht mehr hingehen. Die Kneipe hätte so viel Potential. Man kann hier günstig essen, wobei das Essen eher zweitklassiges Kantinenniveau hat.

Das Ambiente war leider überhaupt nicht einladend und wir haben uns nicht wohlgefühlt. Auch geschmacklich konnte das Essen uns nicht überzeugen insgesamt sehr enttäuschend. Leider keine Empfehlung von uns.

Obwohl das Essen eher Kantinenniveau hat, habe ich mir ab und zu mal was zum Mittag vor der Arbeit geholt. Jetzt habe ich erfahren, dass hier ein AFD Stammtisch abgehalten wird. Da vergeht mir jeglicher Appetit. Mich seht Ihr nie wieder

Das Eisbein war sehr lecker und zart, die Schnitzel gut. Die Servicekraft freundlich, kann man gut hingehen!

Waren am 09.04.2026 mit Freunden zum Mittagessen. 2 x Eisbein und 2 x Nudeln mit Gulasch. Essen war geschmacklich recht gut und auch reichlich von der Menge. Leider hatte kein Gericht auch nur annähernd die Temperatur die ein Essen haben sollte. Schade ☹️

Entgegen unserer bisherigen Erfahrung war das Schnitzel nicht so gut. Die Panade war kaum gebräunt und kein bischen kross, eher weich, das Letscho darüber lauwarm, bei den Bratkartoffeln ( aus Drillingen)sehr wenig Zwiebeln und Speck. Der junge Mann, der uns bediente, war super aufmerksam und freundlich, ganz große Klasse. Die beiden jungen Damen vorn am Tresen wirkten dagegen eher desinteressiert, wortkarg, eine sogar etwas unfreundlich. Kannte ich dort bisher so nicht. Ambiente voll in Ordnung, Preis/ Leistung ebenso.

Herzlicher Empfang, sehr gute bürgerliche Küche, würden jederzeit wieder Einkehren

Das beste Schnitzel, welches ich in Deutschland in einer gastronomischen Lokalität gegessen habe! Wer vergleichbares sucht, muss nach Wien fahren.

Eines der ungemütlichstes Lokale, dass wir seit langem besucht haben. Wir wurden von der Kellnerin sehr unfreundlich und forsch empfangen. Das Essen war extrem schlecht (Eisbein und Steak aufour) von dem mir direkt danach und noch bis zum nächsten Tag schlecht war. Absolut keine Empfehlung. Sehr Schade, zumal Restaurants mit deutscher Hausmannskost immer seltener werden.

Back to the Roots hatte man das Gefühl das hier die Zeit stehen geblieben ist, wie erwartet schön rustikal. Im Lokal wird man als fremder sehr freundlich empfangen und bedient. Das Essen war prima und das Bier schön kalt. Wer hier außergewöhnliches sucht muss leider woanders hin.

Der beste Steak-Schnitt der Stadt, perfekt gegrillt und gereift.

Es handelt sich um eine einfache Gaststätts. Hier gibt es Hausmannskost.

Aufgrund eines Zeitungsartikels dort gelandet. Blutwurst aus der Mittagskarte für knapp 9 Euro Note 1, Eisbein für gut 17 Euro Note 2. Das Essen ist wirklich empfehlenswert. Ansonsten hat man tatsächlich beim Betreten des Lokals das Gefühl, dass man eine Zeitschleuse ins Jahr 1991 betreten hat. Ein Mischmasch aus versuchter Historie, zusammenhangsloser Deko bieten einen Geschmack der Nachwendezeit. Trotzdem möchte ich das Essen im Vordergrund stehen lassen. Das war wirklich gut. Daher, wer einen trüben Blick hat oder auf die 90er steht, wird sehr zufrieden sein.

Oranienburg's älteste Kneipe... ein Slogan der Urigkeit verspricht. Beim Betreten der Lokalität ging ich auch voll mit. Beim längeren Aufenthalt ging diese Urigkeit allerdings leider verloren. Eine junge, nette Dame stand dort und begrüßte uns. Allerdings wirkte ihr Erscheinungsbild eher so, als sei sie zufällig dort zu Besuch und hilft aus. In dem hinteren Bereich der Lokalität fand ein Geburtstag statt. Leider hielt sich dort auch vermehrt das Personal auf, so dass wir später auch einfach hätten gehen können... ohne zu bezahlen. Was wir natürlich nicht taten. Das Essen war einer Kneipe entsprechend und vollkommen ausreichend. Eine kleine Karte, dafür aber frisch gekocht. Getränkeauswahl war ebenso ok, nur würde ich vom Cappuccino abraten. Für über 2 Euro stellte man mir ein Pulvergemisch mit heißem Wasser hin, was wenig damit zutun hatte. Schmeckte auch wirklich nicht. Insgesamt könnte ein wenig mehr Liebe zum Detail vorhanden sein. Und sei es nur eine Tischdecke.. oder mehr Kissen auf den Bänken. Richtige Stabkerzen, statt Teelichter. Trotzdem komme ich gerne wieder hierher. Und würde die Kneipe auch jederzeit empfehlen

Wir durften dort einer super Geburtstagsfeier beiwohnen. Sehr guter Service hat uns bei super Stimmung bedient. War echt gemütlich. 👍👍

Ich muss leider meine ehemalige super Bewertung deutlich nach unten korrigieren 😞, was mir persönlich sehr leid tut . Die drastische Veränderung begann mit dem Pächterwechsel,der Neubewirtschaftung. Nette, freundliche Leute, aber leider kein Gespür für gute deutsche Küche...das Essen schmeckt einfach nicht mehr!!! Das ist sooo schade. Mittlerweile wurde ich von mindestens 4 Personen auf die Altstadtklause angesprochen und sie haben alle dieselbe Einschätzung bezüglich des Essens!!! Das tut mir wirklich sehr leid, aber da ich finde, dass jeder eine 2. Chance verdient hat, wenn er möchte,hoffe ich sehr, dass die Anregung auf fruchtbaren Boden fällt 🙏. Holt euch bitte Hilfe, vielleicht sogar bei den alten Wirtsleuten?! Es wäre einfach schade, wenn noch ein Restaurant mit deutscher Küche wegfallen würde!!! Ich belasse meine alte Bewertung und wäre sehr froh, wenn ich zeitnah alles wieder nach oben korrigieren könnte.........Ein altgedientes Restaurant mit leckerer deutscher Küche und wechselnder Speisekarte, die vor der Tür auf einer Tafel angeschrieben steht. Dieses Wochenende gab es Sauerbraten, Hackbraten, Schnitzel etc....hier wird frisch gekocht und sogar auch noch die Caritas versorgt. Eine sehr freundliche Bedienung und die familiäre Atmosphäre, sowie gutes Bier runden das Bild ab. Das Ambiente ist rustikal und ebenfalls altgedient, passt aber. Prima Preis Leistungsverhältnis!!!Einzig die Toilette könnte eine Überholung brauchen. Ansonsten...Allet jut !!! Wir kommen immer wieder hierher 😋

Sehr überfordertes Personal sehr ungepflegt. Die Gaststätte unordentlich der Tresen unhygienisch, Spinnweben hängen von der Decke sehr unsauber. Das Essen war nicht lecker mein schweinefilet war trocken unf zee.

Solide und bodenständige Küche. Der Service ist ausgezeichnet und die Bedienung sehr freundlich und schnell. Es hat uns allen sehr gut gefallen.

Einfach super gutes Essen zum normalen Preis

Herrlich😊. Wer Lust auf authentisches Ambiente, Herzlichkeit und gutes Essen hat, ist in der Altstadtklause richtig. Von der Portion wäre auch ein Bauarbeiter gut satt geworden und bei der Rechnung musste ich nachfragen, ob das wirklich der Preis für unsere 3 Essen+Getränke ist. So preiswert hatten wir das nicht erwartet, insbesondere bei der Qualität und der Portionsgröße. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder und werden uns die Gerichte der Winterkarte nicht entgehen lassen 🍗😇.

Wir waren am Dienstag da und es hat uns sehr gefallen. Sehr nettes Personal. Die Gerichte sehr lecker. Eine super Entenkeule gibt es hier! Butterzart! Preis-Leistung sehr gut! Gibt dort auch einen Abholservice und einen Lieferservice!

Sehr schönes und leckeres Mittagsangebot, komme immer wieder gerne. Besonderheit ist auch, das hier Nordberliner Pils ausgeschenkt wird, sehr zu empfehlen.

Kein Restaurant, sondern eher eine Kneipe, das ist aber nicht abwertend gemeint. Das Essen war sehr gut, keine fertig panierten Schnitzel schöne Portion, schmackhaft. Und das alles zu einem sehr guten Preis. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Wer es mag unter Videobeobachtung seinen Abend zu verbringen, sollte unbedingt die Altstadtklause besuchen. Essen und Bedienung waren ganz ok, aber für eine Spitzenbewertung reicht es nicht. Essen wurde zügig serviert. Bei der Nachspeise wurde uns erst am Tisch gesagt, dass es leider keine Sprühsahne mehr gibt. Wäre auch kein Problem gewesen, wenn es vorher gesagt worden wäre. Zum Problem wurde es erst, als auch der volle Betrag für die Nachspeise auf der Rechnung stand. Schade, wir hatten uns mehr von diesem Abend versprochen.

This was our first and last visit. The waitress, a young lady, was unbearable. She was unfriendly and in a bad mood. The tone she used to speak to us was unacceptable. On top of that, the pork knuckle was completely oversalted, as were the potatoes. It was absolutely inedible. Through a small hatch, you could see into the kitchen...it made you feel completely different. Everything was handled with your hands. You wiped your hands on your trousers and carried on. The sauerkraut came out of the microwave and was transferred from the bowl to the plate with your hands. It was very disappointing.

I waited half an hour for drinks and kept asking for them. The waitress was noticeably unwilling to serve. Hopefully the food is better than the first impression.

Cozy, great value for money, and incredibly large portions. And incredibly delicious. Above all, it's very child-friendly. Five years after my first review, the owner has changed, and the food is still top-notch. We celebrated my child's confirmation here; everything was fantastic, from the food to the ambiance.

We only ended up there because of the Andechser beer advertisement outside. I love all the varieties from this brewery. The trip was worth it: delicious food, Andechser Hell on tap and other varieties by the bottle, friendly service, a quaint restaurant, dogs welcome. Overall, highly recommended.

We were there yesterday for the first and last time. The service was disorganized, unfriendly, and when we asked, they brought us a dirty ashtray. It was just unpleasant. If we hadn't ordered the food, we would have left. We'll never go there again 🙈🙈🙈😜😜😜

As Berlin tourists, we ventured out a bit with the S-Bahn and were able to taste a very tasty schnitzel with fried potatoes and salad at a very reasonable price. The staff was very friendly, we were served attentively and had our meals at the table very quickly.

Was there spontaneously today with 2 friends. Service was extremely friendly and always asked if you needed anything else. Two things from the menu that we wanted weren't there, but that sort of thing happens sometimes. There were enough alternatives for that. Of course the food was also really tasty. The food was in good portions, Schnitzel ou four and Schnitzel Hamburger style, both of which were poorly fried, the breading barely showed any brownish color. The Ou Four was actually inedible in taste (indefinable taste) and didn't deserve the name. In contrast to all the neighboring tables, there was no question from the service when a very large part of the ou four was returned. Unfortunately no recommendation

9 people ate there on Saturday evening. The food was good, there were many different types of schnitzel. The service was slightly overwhelmed, our food came after an hour, one meal was wrong, it came later. As far as the ambience is concerned, I think time has stood still, except for the prices. There is rubbish in many corners, and there is a small office to the left of the cash register. Maybe something should be done regarding the ambience...I think then it can be really cozy.

Good restaurant, friendly staff but only speaks German. The dishes are rich and good. I recommend.

Hello dear Altstadtklause. We can spend our Christmas party with you today. Overall we had a great evening. Food was very good. Some just thought the red cabbage was a bit sour and the sauce for the duck could have been a bit stronger. But otherwise there was nothing to complain about about the food. Unfortunately there is only one thing to “complain” about the service. Of course Friday evenings are always full. There were 28 of us and there were also a few guests during the operation. At the beginning it worked well with the drink order, but then unfortunately it didn't work anymore. We had to wait a long time until someone came so we could order something to drink. Some then went to the counter and ordered. Unfortunately it didn't work out that way. The waiters were super friendly. Unfortunately, we felt a bit “forgotten” at times. It was always cleared away and said we would come straight away to take the drink order, but no one came. Only upon request. Overall it was a great evening. Many kind regards Jennifer

I was there today for the first time in 27 years. At that time I did my student internship there. We were warmly welcomed and we were able to choose a place. Our order was taken quickly and friendly. The food was very tasty and I think it was really good prices. We were very satisfied and will definitely come back.

After visiting the castle, we were looking for good home cooking... The Altstadtklause was a total hit. The menu offers a good selection, my wife and the kids were immediately able to discover something for themselves. The service was super friendly. The atmosphere had a nice pub charm, which we really liked. We all decided on schnitzel, in different variations. It tasted really great. We would have liked to have another dessert, which looked great on the menu, but we were just too full and satisfied. A quick chat with the waitress revealed that the schnitzels are freshly cut every day. You can taste it!!!! It doesn't always have to be fine dining, the traditional German pub shows its best side here... Thanks for the great lunch. Gladly again when the opportunity arises!!!

We were able to hold the funeral service for my unexpectedly deceased father in the Altstadtklause at relatively short notice. The owner, Mr. Wittstock, spontaneously and warmly advised us on how to implement this and gave us great support in choosing the food and drinks. The implementation and design of the room, as well as the lovingly prepared food, were absolutely suitable for the event. We would like to thank you and your team again for your support and efforts!

A top price-performance ratio and quality too! These have recently become increasingly rare in the catering industry. Everything was given here! Please everyone eat there diligently so that such a hermitage can be preserved!

We had a private school commencement party at the weekend and chose the old town klause's home-style menu. We selected: Kasseler with sauerkraut, schnitzel, potato gratain, cold fried meatballs, mixed salad and a fruit and vegetable platter. The food was delivered to the front door as agreed. The Kasseler was very tender, the homemade meatballs were successful and the potato gratain was very creamy. The quantity was generous and the quality of the food offered no cause for complaint. Not too bland and not too spicy, just right. And that for an unbeatable price/performance ratio! Thanks to the entire team, keep it up & see you again soon!

Price-performance perfect! The map needs to be updated. The food was fantastic (tasty, fresh and very filling) Unfortunately I didn't take any photos.

We have been here several times now and have been very satisfied each time. They still exist - restaurants with home-style cuisine. It's really great that Adrian Wittstock took over this restaurant and saved it from closure. The prices for the various dishes are reasonable, the portion sizes are optimal for those who are very hungry and they are lovingly prepared. The North Berlin Pilsner was a pleasant discovery for us. We'd love to come back.

We ate there for the first time today. I can recommend it without hesitation. Ambience very appealing. The waiter and boss were very attentive and friendly. Restaurant is clean and nicely decorated. The food is great. As a starter I had a solyanka for 4.80. It was very tasty and a really big portion for an appetizer. For the main course I had schnitzel with 2 fried eggs and fried potatoes. Schnitzel nice and tender and fried potatoes homemade and also highly recommended. The main course for just under 16 euros is almost too cheap given the portion size and, as I said, the taste is great. We'll definitely be back
