Delikato in Varel

Never again ! The pasta dish was completely tasteless! The bifteki was very small and thin and the feta cheese was probably scraped onto it! The rice was cold and our cautious opinion about the food was accepted without emotion! We won't eat there again!!

We always come here when we are in Varel (we come from NRW). Price performance is more than good. Nice staff. The guests are properly looked after. We are always satisfied. The best thing is the salad bar, so you can choose everything yourself. A snack is always provided from home ❤️ I personally cannot understand some of the negative reviews.

Meiner Meinung nach der beste Grieche in Varel. Hier stimmt einfach alles. Das Gyros ist zart die Usos schmecken und im Sommer kann man schön im Innenhof sitzen.

We were there once in the fall and consciously decided to go to the restaurant again because of the positive impression. Again we received extremely delicious menus, the salad was also very good 👍🏻. We also had some of the food packed and taken away. Was eaten later in the apartment :-) . The service was again very friendly and the ambience, this time outside, was very nice with lots of planted flower pots. We would love to come back again if we are in Varel for a longer period 👍🏻😊

Nice but a lot of confusion, 3 out of 4 dishes weren't right or not good, our table was too small despite a reservation. Everything needs to be improved here. For two dishes, extras were requested that were not implemented, such as no onions. One dish was completely wrong. But the person didn't dare say anything and was hungry because we had to wait so long. So 3 out of 4 dishes were wrong. We didn't like the quality that much either and one of us had construction pains.

Two stars because of the nice ambience outside, but that's about it. Salad from the buffet was old, dried out but sometimes also very mushy. Dressing had a sting, no cooling despite the temperature. Schnitzel didn't taste like anything, we hadn't experienced it yet...we came on a recommendation, well, that was probably nothing. :(

Had a plate for two. Didn't want rice, just fries. There was rice on the plate. Some of the fries were fried for too long. The gyro was nothing, the rest of the meat was fine. The zucchini was also fried and tasted like old oil. The best is the salt buffet. For dessert we were simply given ice cream without asking. I expected more from the reviews. Were very disappointed. I can't recommend it more.

We were there spontaneously as a family, 2 adults and 2 children. From the outside the restaurant makes a very inconspicuous impression. The menu seems a bit overloaded at first. However, we were pleasantly surprised. There was an extra children's menu for the children, with something for everyone. The children's plates in particular are very plentiful, but the “normal” dishes are also very plentiful and also taste convincing. But what surprised us most was the service. The children were also able to help themselves to the salad buffet, even though it wasn't part of the menu, there was a starter plate on the house and a small portion of ice cream for everyone as dessert. To top it all off, there was a lollipop for the kids. You can tell that the owner runs his restaurant with passion and is proud of what he does.

Today we ate at the Delikato restaurant. It was our second visit to this restaurant and it was another very nice evening with very good service and excellent food. We had #69 and #110 from the menu. You can put together the salad that comes with most dishes at the salad buffet. The main courses were very tasty and the meat was cooked to perfection. In addition, there was a small starter from the house which was also very tasty. The service was also excellent and you feel welcome here, so we can fully recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Mediterranean cuisine. We will come back in any case.

Highly recommend the restaurant. It does seem a bit old, but that doesn't matter with such a warm welcome. Also very child friendly. There is a separate menu for the little ones, which definitely suited our children's taste. Everyone was very attentive. There was a super delicious dip with puff pastry for the table and afterwards a scoop of ice cream and ouzo as a gift from the house. Great idea. And for a really good price. We like to get food out there. Delicious, always sufficient and super friendly when you eat there. If necessary, the online availability of the map could be improved somewhat.

We've eaten very tasty meals here several times, and there's always something delicious for vegetarians too. The service is always very friendly and attentive. The owners always have a great surprise ready for birthdays. We really enjoy coming here.

There were three of us here today - 2 adults and 1 child (6 years old). Schnitzel with curry sauce, fish fingers with fries and pork steaks with kebab meat and fries can definitely be recommended. The portions were very generous! We drank 1 Alster, 1 beer and an apple juice. All together €49.50. Beforehand there was a free starter: Börek sticks with KnofiBombe + cucumbers and carrots. The waitress and waiter were both very friendly and fond of children! In addition to the bill - which was completely fine - there were 2 free ouzo for the parents - a "children's ouzo" for the offspring as well as a lollipop from - I'll call it - a lollipop cup and some sweets. All in all, a full 5 stars, a clear recommendation and a 10% tip - otherwise I usually give 10 cents... Just kidding. We'll definitely come back again!

Late in the afternoon when it was raining in the dark, the restaurant didn't look particularly good - but then we immediately felt at home in the restaurant! A wonderful establishment, very friendly service and the menu has something for every taste. We liked it very much and it wasn't that expensive. Afterwards there was a liqueur and then a small dessert - great service! We'll definitely be back soon 👍

We ate at Delikato for the first time. What we liked was that there was a buffet on New Year's Eve with typical Turkish dishes, a great salad buffet and great desserts. The staff and the boss were very friendly and attentive across the board. We felt very comfortable and enjoyed the evening and it wasn't the last time we would be here. We celebrated New Year's Eve at Delikato in 2023/24. It was bombastic, delicious food, great service with fireworks and music. We really liked it, the Delikato put a lot of effort into it. Only recommended.

Als wir dort gegessen haben, waren wir enttäuscht. Ich kann es nicht sicher sagen, aber das Hähnchenschnitzel war sehr schlecht und schmeckte, als ob es ein günstiges aus der Kühltruhe war. Das Gemüse war überkocht und die Pommes waren trocken. Wir mussten mehrfach nach zuvor bestellter Metaxasoße fragen. Die Salatbar ist gut, allerdings sind sehr viele Zutaten der Salate aus der Dose, was schade ist. Draußen zu sitzen mit sehr stark übelriechenden Pflanzen, sehr sehr alt häßlichen, fast kaputten und sehr schlecht gestrichenden "Zaunteilen" ist auch nicht zu empfehlen. Für diese Qualitätsstufe völlig überteuert.

Wir waren zu zweit ohne Reservierung hier essen und haben zwischendurch noch von einem Zweier-Tisch an einen größeren Tisch gewechselt, auf Wunsch der Bedienung, die nebenbei einen super Service machen👍🏼! Das essen wie man auf dem Bild sieht war schnell serviert und super lecker. Die Mitarbeiter haben immer ein Auge und ein Ohr bei den Gästen und sind schnell unterwegs. Wir kommen gerne wieder und wünschen viel Spaß bei der Arbeit 👍🏼

Zudem gab es noch eine sehr leckere,Vorspeise und auch noch ein kleines Eis nachdem Essen.Die sogenannte,, Bedienung " war sehr nett und aufmerksam!. Einzig am Salat Buffet könnte man noch arbeiten. Geschmacklos. Das Dressing für den Salat ist verwässert, im Gyrosauflauf war ein Stück Fleisch welches nicht komplett aus Knorpel und Fett bestand. Man hat uns einen Schnaps angeboten als „Wiedergutmachung“, aber den haben wir abgelehnt weil es noch mittags war. Aussehen und Preise wie ein teures griechisches Restaurant aber die Qualität ist unterirdisch und ich war jetzt nicht zum ersten Mal da. Ich würde einen der vielen Imbisse empfehlen die direkt in der Nähe sind. Da wird man auch satt und die Qualität stimmt.
