We were here at 7 p.m. in the evening. Had something to drink and wanted something to eat. We put the mixed 1/2 and 1/2 plate in the middle for sharing. The quality was very good. We were told the kitchen would close at 8:30 p.m. Since there were several of us, we wanted to order something again at 8:14 p.m. Since the mixed plate was very tasty, we wanted it again. Unfortunately it wasn't possible because the machine for cutting ham and salami had already been cleaned. I find it a bit strange at this time of day. So we switched to cheese. It's a shame. The kitchen should be open until 8.30 p.m., which I think is very early. The opening time is stated as 11 p.m. However, they came to us at 9.30 p.m. and pointed out that the last round could now be ordered. All in all, it was delicious, but unfortunately we almost felt like we were getting in the way of finishing work.

Only three stars because... For us, the “Deli Drei König” was always THE place to go in Lörrach to enjoy an aperitif after errands in the city or just because. Right in the middle of the action, the staff are very friendly and attentive, the boss is often present, the drinks and food are of very high quality. Unfortunately, the “Deli” is no longer what it once was and is unfortunately a prime example of how service plays a crucial and important role in gastronomy. The lack of service staff is taking its toll. The quality suffers. The feel-good factor is shrinking. You often sit at the table for a long time, which is often still 'set' with empty glasses from the previous guests, until you are even noticed, despite a hand gesture. It has happened several times in the last few months that you didn't get your drinks even after placing your order and the service staff kept walking past the table without paying any attention. Only after asking was the order served a few minutes later. The fact that there can be a higher level of stress and longer waiting times in the catering industry due to numerous guests and the fact that you sometimes forget something is more than understandable and definitely forgivable. But if this happens often, then I ask myself what the problem is. In the past, we often drank several drinks, snorted a little, and simply enjoyed the time and the ambience, but now our stay is usually limited to just one drink. As described at the beginning, the “Deli” was our first port of call in Lörrach because everything was just right. But unfortunately that has changed. The service staff seems young and partly inexperienced, most of them are hard-working and generally friendly, but there is a clear difference to someone who has experience and, at best, does their job with passion. I am aware of the shortage of skilled workers in the catering industry. Only - if you are willing to bring noble products and high-quality wines to your guests, and want to offer them something exquisite and special, then the service should be exactly that - high-quality and outstanding. The products on offer are of very good quality, that is without question, but the prices are very overpriced. The central location on the market square has to be paid for, I understand that. High-quality products also cost a lot to purchase. The host has to live. The tax office too. Electricity is not free either. Everything understandable. However, I think that if you offer high-quality delicacies at high-quality prices, then the service must also be particularly high-quality and “deli-like”. Please take it as constructive criticism and try to build on the good performance of “Earlier”, as the “Deli” still has potential and we would like to enjoy our aperitif with you again.

I have eaten at the deli in Lörrach several times and have been more than satisfied every time. The plates are a real dream, and the wine list leaves nothing to be desired. I cannot understand negative reviews at all, I assume that these people were not in the deli, but somewhere else. The quality of the products was very good, except for the rolls, which were small and stuffed because they were so firm. The portions are far too small for the price and forks instead of skewers would also make it easier. Unfortunately, overall it's a bit more appearance than reality. The service was super accommodating and friendly.

It's a pretty high-quality breakfast, but the quantity is quite manageable. The quality of the rolls is catastrophic, very compact and dry. The service staff was very attentive and super nice. My conclusion: the rolls have to change and the quantities on the plates have to be increased for the price.

We have been regular guests at this restaurant for many years. And we are happy to be that, whether at rush hour or off-peak. Products and service are always first class, there is nothing to complain about. That's why we come back (always).

The reviews would have put me off if I had read them before our visit. For the first time, we - walk-in customers - also ate something inside at Drei König and not just had drinks outside. And I have to say, the ambience and the food (I ate a kind of pinsa, but can't remember the name 🙈) + wine selection were great! Perfect for a lunch while strolling or for an aperitif. I think the owner was serving that day and I didn't find him unpleasant, as some people have written here. Maybe not as approachable and warm as some people would like, but definitely friendly, professional and confident. We'll definitely go there again 🥰😋

It seemed as though they sucked the joy out of the room, leaving patrons with a sense of discomfort that lingered throughout the entire meal. The owner's unfriendly behavior extended beyond mere indifference; it was palpable in every interaction. It felt as though any attempt to engage in friendly conversation was met with icy stares and curt responses. It's disheartening to see someone in the hospitality industry who seems to despise the very essence of hospitality. The food, though touted as a saving grace by some, failed to compensate for the dismal atmosphere. It's clear that the owner's lack of enthusiasm has seeped into every aspect of the restaurant, from the lackluster service to the uninspired menu. In the end, dining at Drei König felt like more of a chore than a pleasurable experience. I would caution anyone seeking a joyful and welcoming dining atmosphere to steer clear of this establishment, where the owner's demeanor sucks the life out of what should be an enjoyable meal.

We have been guests at this location for a long time. Unfortunately, the quality and performance continue to decline. Lots of young and inexperienced staff. Drinks or food that were accidentally prepared in excess were not removed from the system and appeared on the bill. The prices are reasonable and we are actually happy to pay for good performance. However, you have to use this money again and hire good staff... The toilets on the last visit were horrible! The urinal smells like a sewer and doesn't flush, and a slimy biomass forms in the sink drain. In general, the quality of the food and drinks is good but unfortunately not consistently the same. We hope for an improvement so that we can continue to come here regularly.
