Wir hatten am 1. Juni 2026 an meinem Geburtstag das grosse Menu für 4 Personen, es war Sensationell und wir waren total begeistert. Immer wieder gerne. Ein grosses Lob an alle.

Ein ganz tolles Restaurant! Die Gerichte waren aufwändig gestaltet und schmeckten hervorragend. Die Karte ist überschaubar, bietet aber ein ausreichendes Angebot an verschiedenen Speisen und Menüs. Auch vegetarische Varianten wurde auf Nachfrage angeboten. Die Servicekräfte sind kompetent und äußerst freundlich. Auch das Ambiente hat uns sehr zugesagt, minimalistisch und dennoch gemütlich. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist angemessen. Wir kommen bald wieder weil es uns so gut gefallen hat!

Servicepersonal mit perfekten Fachwissen, diskret und schnell. Essen traumhaft angerichtet, perfekte Qualität und geschmackvoll. Es war ein wunderschöner Abend❤️

Das Essen war in Ordnung, sah toll aus, schmeckte aber eher durchschnittlich. Der Besuch begann jedoch unangenehm aufgrund einer Begegnung mit einer Kellnerin. Sie wurde später von einer anderen, höflichen und hilfsbereiten Dame abgelöst. Eine Verbesserung des Services und des Geschmacks würde viel bewirken.

Ich bin absolut begeistert von diesem Restaurant! Das Essen ist nicht nur mega lecker, sondern auch wunderschön angerichtet – hier isst das Auge definitiv mit. Jeder Teller ist mit so viel Liebe zum Detail gestaltet, dass man ihn am liebsten erst einmal fotografieren möchte, bevor man probiert. Geschmacklich einfach top, Zutaten perfekt abgestimmt. Man merkt sofort, dass hier mit Leidenschaft gekocht wird. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und herzlich. Man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen und bestens umsorgt. Eines meiner Lieblingsrestaurants! Ich komme auf jeden Fall wieder und kann dieses Restaurant nur wärmstens empfehlen! 🍽️✨🔝

Die 5 Sterne sind ausschließlich für den Koch. Der Service ist unterirdisch, es sei denn, man kommt in einer ausländischen Gruppe oder fährt mit dem Lamborghini vor. Als Gast wird man angepampt, weil man nicht bereit ist, länger als 2 Stunden auf seine Vorspeise zu warten, anstatt sich für die Warterei aufrichtig zu entschuldigen. Man hätte ja schon bei Reservierung darauf hinweisen können,dass extrem lange Wartezeiten anstehen. Die Inhaberin und ihre Servicekräfte sollten dringend an Ihrer Kritikfähigkeit arbeiten! Ein Gast ist jemand,der sich freut eine gute Zeit beim Gastgeber zu verbringen,einem Gastgeber,den es freut,wenn sein Gast sich wohl fühlen kann. Ein Beispiel dafür ist das 'Ejona" in Lörrach. Einfach mal hingehen und professionelles Coaching annehmen. Auch das Ambiente lässt zu wünschen übrig. Die defekten Stühle werden mit einer Art Spannbettlaken überzogen,damit man die defekte Sitzfläche nicht sieht. Laut DEHOGA hätten wir nicht mal unsere Getränke zum vollen Preis bezahlen müssen. 🤷🏻‍♀️ Wir kommen jedenfalls nicht wieder.

Sehr leckeres und äußerst kreatives Essen. Freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung. Nur das Ambiente hat uns nicht perfekt gefallen. Viel indirektes Licht ist zwar schön, allerdings fehlt etwas Beleuchtung von oben, so dass man die toll dekorierten Speisen nur im Schummerlicht sieht.

Eine absolut furchtbare Erfahrung. Der Service war von Anfang bis Ende unterirdisch. Es gab keine englische Speisekarte, und die Angestellten weigerten sich, uns zu helfen oder die Gerichte zu erklären. Das Essen sah zwar appetitlich aus, war aber völlig ungenießbar. Es war eine einzige, erdrückende Mischung aus Süße und Essig, und das Fleisch war so zäh, dass man es unmöglich kauen konnte – deshalb haben wir den Teller zurückgehen lassen. Anstatt professionell zu reagieren, beschimpfte uns das Personal, behauptete, wir seien die Einzigen, denen das Essen nicht geschmeckt habe, und weigerte sich, eine Alternative anzubieten. Obwohl wir nichts gegessen hatten, verlangten sie trotzdem den vollen Preis – für absolut nichts. Ich habe in meinem ganzen Leben noch nie so unhöfliches, respektloses und unprofessionelles Personal erlebt.

Wir hatten vor, das Lokal erstmals zwischen den Jahren zu besuchen. Die Website zeigt ein paar hübsche Bilder, jedoch keine Menükarte oder Preise. Dazu der Hinweis, dass Reservationen nur telefonisch gemacht werden können. Trotzdem habe ich eine Mail geschickt, um zu fragen, ob das Lokal zwischen den Jahren geöffnet hat und ich eine Menükarte in PDF Form bekommen kann. Antwort: Fehlanzeige... Schlussendlich habe ich angerufen und wurde unfreundlich abgefertigt: Reservationen ausschliesslich telefonisch und ob ich denn einen Besuch davon abhängig mache, dass ich weiss, was es zu Essen gibt, das wurde ich noch nie gefragt :-))) Mmmh, ja, schon... Ok, sie würde die Anfrage mal 'weiterleiten', könne aber nicht garantieren, dass ich auf meine Email eine Antwort bekomme.... Bereits da war für uns klar, dass wir nicht in diesem Lokal essen wollen: nicht nur das Essen muss schmecken, das Gesamterlebnis inkl. Kundenservice zählt und wenn man schon im Vorfeld unfreundlich bedient wird, gibt man sein Geld lieber woanders aus:-) Wir haben ein anderes Restaurant angeschrieben und bekamen innerhalb 1 Stunde Bescheid, dass man sich auf unseren Besuch freut:-) Freunde und Bekannte, die ebenfalls an einem Besuch im Vanilla interessiert gewesen wären, haben abgewunken und umgeplant. PS: bis heute kam übrigens keine Antwort auf die Mail....Kunde 'droht' mit Auftrag, wir waren geschockt wie mit Gästen umgegangen wird...

Naja. Das Essen schmeckt alles gleich. Sieht zwar super aus, aber schmeckt alles frittiert.

Das Restaurant „Vanilla“ ist einfach fantastisch. Schon beim herzlichen Empfang spürt man die einladende Atmosphäre. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt, und das Essen ist erstklassig. Wir haben dort ein wirklich hervorragendes Mittagessen genossen, und der Service war unglaublich freundlich. Selbst die Einrichtung ist sehr angenehm und einladend. Ich kann jedem nur empfehlen, dort vorbeizuschauen und es selbst auszuprobieren.

An evening at Vanilla is a feast for all the senses. As soon as you enter the restaurant, you sense the special atmosphere: stylish, warm, and inviting. The service is warm, attentive, and always present, without ever being intrusive—simply perfectly coordinated. Vanilla's culinary offerings impress with exceptionally delicately composed courses that are not only visually impressive but also harmoniously coordinated in terms of taste. For a slight premium compared to other restaurants in the area, you get a superb culinary experience. For me, this is the best restaurant in the area. The chef's welcome alone is outstanding—and the individual main courses are a true delight—everything lovingly presented on the plates. We've been here many times and have never been disappointed.

Six years ago, my 5-star rating was very high and appropriate. We enjoyed being regular guests. The restaurant is now very busy. You can feel the stress and the occasional unfriendly person; it's better to hold back your requests. The food is nicely presented, but the portions are unfortunately small and the flavors are no longer as delicious as they used to be. The seating is dated; many of the chairs wobble and the upholstery has a springy feel; it's very uncomfortable for a pleasant evening. We went to Vanilla for the second time with 18 birthday guests. It was a disappointment. As hosts, it was embarrassing that we couldn't offer our guests what they would expect for the price. Unfortunately, the restaurant has deviated a long way from its beginnings in terms of taste and hospitality.

My absolute favorite restaurant for many years! The food always tastes great and the service is top👌🏼. Anyone who wants something extraordinary at a good price/performance ratio is in perfect hands here. In addition, the atmosphere is really inviting, you just feel comfortable❤️

Man braucht Mut, reinzugehen. Nicht besonders befestigter Parkplatz, dunkel. Keine Speisekarte draußen, die einem einen ersten Eindruck erwecken könnte. Wir haben auch lange gezögert, bis uns Freunde mal hierher eingeladen haben. Innen eine andere Welt: Modern eingerichtet, mit großen Fenstern, dabei ist das Kunststück gelungen, dass es aber sehr gemütlich wirkt. Das liegt vielleicht auch am freundlichen Empfang. Die Bedienung bleibt so, aufmerksam, einfühlsam, aber auch sachkundig. Beim Essen sollte man wissen, dass hier selbst gekocht wird, das dauert halt. Es gibt zuvor Schmalz und Aioli, dazu verschiedene leckere Brotsorten. Nach einiger Zeit der Gruß aus der Küche, meist etwas, was man in dieser Form noch nie gegessen hat. Geschickt - als ganzes Gericht würde man das vielleicht nicht bestellen, aber mal so zum Schnuppern, das ist schon toll. Wir teilen uns dann meist eine Vorspeise und zwar die Tapas. Wir haben spanische Familie und können bestätigen, das diese ganz klassisch kommen und wirklich gut getroffen sind. Sehr schön. Die Hauptgerichte haben zwei Gesichter: Zum einen verspielt: Schaumwolken oder Ähnliches muss man nicht haben. Das eigentliche Gericht , von dem die Zubereitung etwas ablenkt, ist aber grundsolide und kenntnisreich zubereitet. Lobenswert, hier kriegt man nicht ein Kaffeelöffelchen Sauce, die Saucen sind nicht nur Köstlich, sondern es gibt auch genug davon. Die Desserts sind dann sehr verspielt. Ein Kaffee, zu dem es auch noch ein kleines Leckerli gibt, reicht schlichteren Gemütern wie mir völlig. Wir trinken meist den offenen spanischen Hauswein, der ist sehr lobenswert. Wir gesagt, dazu begleitet den Gast ein unaufdringlicher, aber sehr aufmerksamer Service. Vielen Dank dafür. Damit Sie sich eine präzise Preisvorstellung machen können, füge ich einen Scan der Rechnung bei. Für die Qualität - und dazu nahe der schweizer Grenze - finden wir es nicht unangemessen, was man zahlt.

Every dish is a work of art, from the starter to the main course to the dessert, everything is harmonious. The quality is excellent which are almost unbeatable in terms of taste experience and sophistication. The interior immediately caught my attention picked up and gave me a feeling of well-being. We were lucky enough to spontaneously get a table for a Friday at 8 p.m. The reception was friendly. The advice on the wine was just right for us. The ambience could be a bit more comfortable for our taste, but the purist furnishings are supposed to put the focus on the dishes, but we still think a nice picture on the bare wall or one or two nice decorative objects couldn't hurt. The 5-course menu for 89€ appealed to us and the dishes that came our way... almost indescribable and worth every cent!! First we were given three types of baguette (black, red and normal) with lard and aioli, then the greeting from the kitchen fascinated us, just because of the pretty presentation and presentation. Then the menu started: first starter Golden Egg, in the truest sense of the word, super delicious!! Second starter, the cake stand with three kinds of delicacies (each of them simply delicious and decorated with attention to detail), the main course, sirloin steak, cooked to perfection, and the amazing dessert was “Snow White” 🥰 how you can create something so great!! ! And the taste first👍👍 As the crowning finale there was a cake stand with music, on top cotton candy and various other small desserts, just look at the photos. Afterwards the (still quite young) chef came to all the tables, asked if it was tasty and if there was anything he could improve.. NO!! It wasn't just a meal - it was an experience!! We advise anyone who values ​​good cuisine and is willing to pay a little more to eat here and book a table at 8 p.m. so that you can enjoy the food in peace (if you order a menu). . We went for birthday celebration of my husband there . We simply did not feel being welcome there as a family with kids. Lady with long brown hair was totally rude to the kids, didn’t even look at us during the night… Gentleman at service was ok. Food design lovely despite loooong waiting time being there during the week. In conclusion: I will not go there anymore as long as service not improved …

I've never given a restaurant a full score before, but I can't think of a deficit. It was a fantastic evening with an excellent meal at what I thought was a very fair price. We came all the way from Freiburg and, to put it in the words of the Michelin Guide, it was “worth the trip”. We'll be back soon.

In diesem Restaurant stimmte einfach alles. Der Service ist sehr, sehr freundlich, die Getränke ausgesucht. Die Vorspeisen waren ein kulinarisches und optisches Erlebnis, der Hauptgang ein üppiger Genuss. Das Dessert war ein liebevolles und einfallsreiches Arrangement. Beim Essen ein leckerer, überraschender "Hoppla-Effekt". Wir waren mit einem befreundeten und anspruchsvollen Ehepaar da und wir haben es nicht bereut. Dieses Restaurant kann ich nur empfehlen. Es ist so gut besucht, dass Vorreservation erforderlich ist. Wir haben einen rundum gelungenen Abend verbracht.

We enjoyed dinner with colleagues at Vanilla. The staff was extremely professional and friendly. The dishes were delicious and spectacularly designed. It was a real experience for everyone, from the starter to the dessert. We found the prices to be reasonable and comparatively cheap. In this respect, overall an absolute recommendation.

The food is interestingly created. The chef is certainly an artist. The prices are steep, but reasonable for such creations. BUT: 30 minutes until you could just place the order and 1h45 waiting time for the starter is absolutely not acceptable. The cuisine and the ambience can be so good. But that doesn't work at all. For a place in this price range, I don't care whether the restaurant is full or not. I expect that they can also manage peak times sensibly. There is also not enough parking space when the house is full. I will definitely not visit the restaurant again.

Obwohl auf der Speisekarte kaum vegane oder vegetarische Speisen angeboten werden, wurde mir nach vorheriger telefonischer Anmeldung ein veganes Menü serviert. Es war aussergewöhnlich gut. Schade, dass diese grossartigen Gerichte nicht standardmäßig auf der Karte stehen.

Einfach Hammer! Wir waren zum ersten Mal hier, eingeladen von Freunden. Einfach genial! Ambiente toll, stylisch, schön, gemütlich, ruhig, angenehm. Menu: schön gemachte Karte, ideenreiche und aussergewöhnliche Speisen. Alles war unglaublich schön und kreativ angerichtet, noch nie so gesehen. Einzigartig! Alles war wunderbar, wir hatten alle etwas anderes und es war einfach super! Mein Dessert (crema Catalana) bot tolle Überraschungen. Ein super Erlebnis, ein Traum. Wir kommen bald wieder!

The kitchen is fabulous and so creative, 5 stars for that! but the service weighs everything down...at the table next door it was also said that you wouldn't be coming back...as a kitchen you would have to sit down with the service immediately...and listen to the guests' criticism if you wanted to continue to keep regular guests. Another tip would be that you don't serve in street clothes at this level...we took the 1 hour journey and were there several times...but just... I wish Vanilla all the best for the future.

Great food, very nice service. Went there for my partner's birthday and mentioned it when reserving the table. So we arrived and found a sweetly decorated table. We decided to have a birthday celebration at the Vanilla Restaurant. The food was excellent, there was absolutely nothing to complain about. However, the service was so bad and rude that our experience could not be rated as positive. As guests who often visit the restaurant, the waitress (a middle-aged lady and a younger gentleman) made very rude comments. Our table conversations were overheard by the lady and she wanted to reprimand us in front of all the guests, which is not tolerated in an upscale restaurant . We simply asked the young gentleman how long it would take and he answered: You are not the only guests here! The dress code of the service team absolutely does not fit the location: street clothes with dirty sneakers. But nevertheless, the food was first class but the service was intolerable, rude, poorly trained about the multi-course menu and was not informed about which dish it was until after asking several times. It is a great shame that such a service team massively devalues ​​the wonderful food and leaves a bitter aftertaste. The only thanks go to the chef for his extraordinary performance. However, the behavior and disrespect of the waitress was so bad that it spoiled the food and resulted in a very negative review. This shows that it is not just the food that makes an experience, but also the hospitality and conscientious, respectful treatment in the restaurant. We paid a hefty price and were insulted by the waitress in return!

Unfortunately, our visit to this restaurant was disappointing. Despite the restaurant's appealing presentation, the service left a lot to be desired. We had to wait an exceptionally long time - almost an hour passed before the first dish was served. Meanwhile, other guests who had arrived almost at the same time as us had already received dessert. Although the food was visually appealing, it was not convincing in terms of taste or quality and in no way corresponded to the high price level. Unfortunately the wine in particular was undrinkable. When I politely reported this to the service staff, my feedback was ignored. Only after we had paid the bill did they casually ask about our satisfaction, but my criticism was simply dismissed with a curt “All right”. This experience was disappointing for us, especially considering the high expectations and the prices paid for it.

The ox cheeks were very tender and the passion fruit polenta was a delight. And the dessert, it was the best dessert of my life – so fresh, lively and light. You could literally feel the nuances of the flavors, and the chocolate cake with a liquid center was simply wonderful and perfect. All in all, in my opinion this is one of the best restaurants in Lörrach. The only downside was that the food took quite a long time to be served, but this enjoyment completely made up for it. A MUST for all connoisseurs of good food!

Wenn man im Restaurant Vanilla essen will, muss man viel Zeit mitbringen. Unsere Vorspeise haben wir erst nach über einer Stunde bekommen. Die Qualität der Speisen war jedoch sehr gut. Die Bedienung wollte partout erst die Getränkebestellung aufnehmen, bevor wir überhaupt in die Karte schauen konnten.

In April 2024 we were at Vanilla again for a long time with 3 people. Everyone had the 4 course menu including the tapas dessert for 86 euros per person. All the dishes were little works of art and you didn't dare destroy them. Be it beetroot, fish, meat, ice cream or the tapas, everything was excellently prepared. The wow effect for the eye as well as the palate was guaranteed. It was a perfect evening for us, we'll be back.

Das Restaurant Vanilla ist ein wahres Juwel in der Gastronomieszene. Von dem Moment an, als wir eintraten, wurden wir mit dem besten Service empfangen, den man sich wünschen kann. Das Personal ist diskret, immer präsent und nie aufdringlich – eine perfekte Balance, die den Abend unvergesslich macht. Die Kochkunst im Vanilla ist auf höchstem Niveau. Jede Mahlzeit ist ein Kunstwerk voller Verspieltheit und Raffinesse, das immer wieder für große und wunderschöne Überraschungen sorgt. Die Qualität der Speisen bleibt über die Jahre beständig spitze, was in der heutigen Zeit leider sehr selten geworden ist. Ein besonderes Lob geht an den Küchenchef, der es mühelos mit den Sterneköchen der Region aufnehmen kann und diese sogar überbietet. Im Vanilla gibt es nie ein Gericht, das fade, zu salzig, zu trocken oder auf andere Weise unbefriedigend ist. Jedes Detail wird mit größter Sorgfalt und Perfektion behandelt. Mein Dank gilt dem gesamten Team für diese beeindruckende Beständigkeit und Hingabe zur Kulinarik. Vanilla Restaurant is a true gem in the dining scene. From the moment we walked in we were greeted with the best service one could ask for. The staff is discreet, always present and never intrusive - a perfect balance that makes the evening unforgettable. The cuisine at Vanilla is at the highest level. Every meal is a work of art full of playfulness and sophistication, always providing big and wonderful surprises. The quality of the food has remained consistently excellent over the years, which has unfortunately become very rare these days. Special praise goes to the chef, who can easily compete with the region's star chefs and even surpass them. At Vanilla, there is never a dish that is bland, too salty, too dry, or otherwise unsatisfying. Every detail is treated with the utmost care and perfection. My thanks go to the entire team for this impressive consistency and dedication to culinary art. Vanilla remains my absolute favorite restaurant and I'm already looking forward to my next visit. Service in the evening was a bit overwhelmed, perhaps not enough staff but good in everything. The exterior image can still be improved, the entrance area outside doesn't look as good as the great dishes

Kulinarisch ein Highlight, auf Sonderwünsche wurde eingegangen, der Chef persönlich hat sich am Tisch informiert, so muss es sein! Da ist im Aussenbereich aber noch Potenzial nach oben. Die Pflanzen oder auch die Beleuchtungen könnten geschmacksvoller und liebevoller sein. Auch der Eingang könnte einladender zum Ambiente eingerichtet werden.

We had dinner at Vanilla with 6 people. As usual, we were treated to professional and friendly service. All questions regarding the food and drinks, their origin, ingredients and taste were answered individually and in detail. The quality and taste of all the dishes we chose were first-class and were emphasized by the arrangements on the plates. Of course we were also happy about the “imaginative greetings from the kitchen”. Conclusion: If you want to give yourself and your friends a gastronomic treat, then Vanilla is the first choice in Lörrach. Of course, the beautiful ambience of the interior design also contributes to this Restaurants contribute to this. We will be back.

Wir waren mit 6 Personen zum Abendessen im Vanilla. Wie gewohnt, wurden wir mit professionellem und freundlichem Service verwöhnt. Alle Fragen betr. der Speisen und Getränke, deren Herkunft und Inhaltsstoffe und Geschmack wurden einzeln und ausführlich beantwortet. Die Qualität und der Geschmack aller von uns ausgesuchten Speisen waren erstklassig und wurden durch die jeweiligen Arrangements auf den Tellern noch unterstrichen. Natürlich freuten wir uns auch über die „phantasievollen Grüsse aus der Küche“. Fazit: Wenn man sich und seinen Freunden eine gastronomische Freude machen will, dann ist das Vanilla die erste Wahl in Lörrach. Natürlich trägt dazu auch das schöne Ambiente der Inneneinrichtung des Restaurants dazu bei. Wir kommen wieder.

But above all, the quality and the incredibly loving presentation of the dishes are convincing. It's hard to believe that the chefs haven't yet been poached by star restaurants. If you like to treat yourself to something REAL: Vanilla!

Outstanding restaurant with very good service. The jackets are removed, the menus are handed out in the correct order (woman before man, old before young) and attention is paid to very polite, reserved communication during the visit. The food is very creatively prepared and tastes exciting and interesting. You can tell that the staff and the kitchen are really in their element and enjoy their work. Keep it up!

There is someone in the kitchen here who works with great attention to detail, great creativity and a good understanding of flavors. The fact that I personally didn't like everything 100% is more to do with my tongue than with the cook. We were very satisfied and would like to come back.

Wir hatten einen wunderbaren Abend im Vanilla! Das Restaurant ist gemütlich und luftig. Man konnte sich gut unterhalten, was mir in einem Restaurant wichtig ist. Das Essen war sehr lecker und wurde mit Finesse präsentiert. Es gab zusätzlich noch einen grosszügigen Gruss aus der Küche und zum Kaffee ein paar Leckereien. Die Bedienung war auch sehr freundlich! Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist kaum zu übertreffen! Ich komme wieder.
