De Fischjung in Schwerin

Sehr geil ! Waren am 16.05.2026 in der Schweriner Innenstadt bummeln. Sind dann durch Zufall beim "De Fischjung" vorbeigekommen und haben die lange Warteschlange vor dem Außerhaus-Verkauf gesehen. Wir dachten uns, dass wenn hier schon soviele Leute anstehen, das Essen auch entsprechend gut sein müsste - und es war... tatsächlich besser ! 😋 Wir haben noch nie so gute Fish & Chips gegessen wie hier ! Aber auch der Küstendöner welchen wir bei anderen Gästen gesehen haben, hat sehr, sehr lecker ausgesehen. Einziges Manko war, dass im Innen- & Außenbereich leider nicht allzuviel Mobiliar vorhanden ist.

Eine total nette Fischkneipe. Sehr authentisch. Leckeres Essen! Wunderbares Personal! Wir sind echte Stammkunden. Unsere Lieblingskneipe!

Die Organisation ist leider wirklich schlecht, bringt also Zeit mit.

Da wir keine Fischbrötchen essen konnten, kann ich das Essen leider nicht bewerten. Wir haben es an diesem Tag 2. Mal versucht dort etwas zu bekommen. Standen in einer Schlange ca. 5 Andere vor uns. Es passierte innerhalb von 15 Min. nichts (auch keine Kommunikation mit den Wartenden). Also haben wir es ca. 1 Stunde später nochmals versucht. Auch dieses Mal ohne Erfolg. Es war schlichtweg unmöglich etwas zu bestellen?! Komischer Service, Essen anzubieten, aber es nicht auf die Reihe zu bekommen Bestellungen aufzunehmen und abzuarbeiten. Sehr schade :-(

Beim 2. Anlauf super. Ich war beruflich diese Woche in Schwerin und wollte am Abend noch einen Imbiss nehmen. Im Internet wurde ich auf "de Fischjung" aufmerksam. Also nix wie hin. Leider hatte "de Fischjung" an diesem Tag deutlich eher geschlossen. Nach einem Gespräch mit Martin (?) entschieden wir, die Sache am nächsten Tag nochmals zu probieren. Wir wurden nich enttäuscht. Wir hatten den Matjes- und Küstendöner (mit Lachs) sowie eine Fischsoljanka. Beide Döner waren die besten "Döner", die ich seit langem gegessen habe. Das Brot war gut knusprig und die Salate waren frisch und nicht nur der sonst übliche Eisbergsalat, auch die Soßen passten hevorragend zu Fisch. Die Soljanka, war ebenfalls vorzüglich und reichhaltig. Wir werden "de Fischjung" bestimmt bei unserem nächsten Schwerinaufenthalt einen weiteren Besuch abstatten. Von uns eine klare Empfehlung.

Ein tolles Lokal, klein, aber fein, authentisch, mit kleinen Details und viel Liebe eingerichtet, mit freundlichen Petsonal und köstliche Gerichte. Wir sind da gezielt reingegangen und waren begeistert! Fischsoljanka schmeckte hervorragend und Matjesdöner war eine Augenweide und besonderes Genuss. Absolut empfehlenswert für Fischliebhaber und Genießer!

Aufgrund der guten Bewertungen wollte ich es natürlich selbst testen. Das Wetter war toll, so saß ich draußen. Man bestellt am Seitenfenster. Okay... Die junge Dame wirkte sehr kühl, wenig serviceorientiert. Schade. Für jemanden, der das erste Mal dort steht und nicht alle Abläufe, Speisen, Getränke kennt, fühlte ich mich allein gelassen mit den verschiedenen Angeboten und Varianten. Da ich draußen saß mit Blick zum Bestellfenster, konnte ich beobachten, dass es vielen so erging. Das leckere Essen (Kibbelinge mit Süßkartoffelpommes) hat die Situation gerettet. Nur die Frage, welches Dressing? Versetzte den nächsten Haken.... Welche gibt es denn? Und sie ratterte 5 oder 6 runter und ich konnte nicht mal alles verstehen. Remoulade nahm ich, da es das einzige war, was ich gut verstand und mir merken konnte und die war köstlich. Die Portion war riesig, top Preis-Leistungsverhältnis.

Nordisch, nettes Ambiente, gutes Essen

Nicht der klassische Fischbrötchenverkäufer. Wir sind seit Jahren treue Kunden. Vom klassischen Fischbrötchen über Fischdöner, Kibbelinge und Fish and Chips mit unterschiedlichen Dips oder einfach nur schöne Pommes auch aus Süsskartoffeln. Einfach gut. Immer einen Besuch wert.

Ich kann die fünf Sterne nicht nachvollziehen, bin enttäuscht. Extrem war lange Wartezeit auf ein Bismarck Brötchen. Da hätte ich auch ein warmes Gericht bestellen können für diese Wartezeit. Sehr schlecht koordiniert.

Top! Qualität, Geschmack sehr gut. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Ein kleines Restaurant in der Nähe des Schlosses; die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Wir saßen direkt neben der Küche und aßen preiswert Fish and Chips.

Ich habe die Fisch & Chips mit Zander bestellt, das war ganz lecker. Auch das Fischbrötchen mit Backfisch, das ich damals bestellt hatte, hatte komplett geschmeckt. Immer gerne wieder.

Klein und fein!!! Mittagessen im De Fischjung war wie immer ein Genuss - frische Zutaten, geschmacklich toll kombiniert. Dazu super freundliches Personal. Ich komme gern wieder.

Great little shop. The fish sandwiches are fresh. The fish kebab is fantastic. Unfortunately, the opening hours aren't very convenient for working people unless you work right in the area. Otherwise, I'd probably eat there more often. But as it is, it remains something special.

I discovered it by chance while strolling through town and tried the fish and chips... wow... those were probably the best fish and chips outside of the British Empire. Thanks for the taste experience.

We were looking for a fish sandwich this afternoon. After a nice lady recommended Fischjung to us, we headed there. We were very impressed with the shop's concept, and what we had planned was a fish sandwich, which turned into a coastal kebab. It was incredibly delicious and made with an incredible amount of smoked salmon. So, if you want to eat fish in Schwerin, this is the place to be 👍🏻

The fish here is very, very good, and the best part is, it's lovingly and stylishly prepared. It's truly worth a visit. I've eaten many fish sandwiches in my life, but this one stands out from the crowd. Top-notch. I especially recommend the pulled salmon burger.

If you don’t mind waiting like 90 minutes for the smallest thing in the menu then you can come here. They did our order wrong two times! Better go somewhere else and don’t lose your time here.

We expected a larger fish selection. The fish boy was highly recommended in the flyer. Unfortunately, the young man wasn't in a great mood, but the other employees made up for it. The food was as advertised and delicious.

The fish sandwich was okay, but I've had better. I had classic herring, but it didn't come with any sauce. So, once you've finished the fish, all you're left with is a dry sandwich and salad. The fish was tasty, though, and the service was friendly.

I was here today with my husband. After sitting for a while, we realized we had to order at the counter ourselves, while others at the table had their orders taken. Well, that's about the service. The lady at the cashier was nice, though. I can't say much about the atmosphere. It's good for a quick meal, but a bit run-down. The food didn't take long to arrive, was pleasing to the eye, and nicely presented. However, my appetite was completely ruined when a beetle crawled out of the salad at our next table. The woman received her food after me. She had the same dish as me. After that, I was just worried that something would appear in my salad, or that I might already have it in my mouth. After that, I simply couldn't eat any more. I'm amazed that our next table didn't leave the restaurant after that. Kudos to the girls. But for me, it was the first and last time. This is pre-packaged salad that apparently goes directly to the customer without being washed. A real no-go.

The restaurant is small, but lovingly decorated and clean. There are indoor and outdoor seating options. The food selection is so diverse that it's really hard to decide. The food is fresh and absolutely delicious. The owners are very friendly and make every effort to accommodate everyone, even when they're very busy. Highly recommended! We'd love to come back.

We arrived here in rainy weather. The guys behind the counter were great and straightforward in their approach to customers, the food was delicious, beautifully presented, and the open kitchen looked very clean. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoys fish and unconventional locations. There's a constant coming and going, which is always a sign of a good restaurant. The guests are of all ages, and there are no long waits—although that certainly depends on when you arrive. In this case, it was late lunchtime. We were thoroughly impressed. PS: You order at the counter, but the food is brought to your table. You also pay at the counter. I think that's fine, especially since the price-performance ratio is still really good here.

We had a fantastic experience at this restaurant! The fish was incredibly fresh and flavorful. We started with the soup, which was rich, well-seasoned, and absolutely delicious. For the main course, we enjoyed both matias in a ban and the fish and chips—both were amazing! The fish and chips, in particular, were perfectly crispy and light, with tender fish inside. A must-visit spot if you love fresh seafood.

At first glance, the place looks more like a simple snack bar where everything seems to be fried. The air is a bit heavy, the space quite cramped, and the ambiance initially reminds one not of a restaurant, but rather of a fast-food joint. But this first impression is deceptive. The fish, although fried, tastes surprisingly excellent. It's crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, wonderfully seasoned, and by no means too oily. The dip served with it is particularly pleasing, with a convincing flavor and much more than just a side dish. The fries are also worth mentioning: crispy, golden yellow, and with a real potato flavor, not the random-tasting frozen products you might expect in this setting. The dining room was clean, as was the cutlery. There is only one restroom, but it was in perfect hygienic condition. The staff occasionally seemed a bit overwhelmed with language, but always remained friendly and helpful. As a cyclist, I was particularly pleased with the bike rack, a small but very practical detail. The value for money here is absolutely spot on. The ambiance is simple, but perfectly suited to the fish dishes on offer. Anyone who values good, honest food and is willing to look beyond first impressions will be very pleasantly surprised.

Fried fish in a bun, very tasty and beautifully presented in the bun, highly recommended 🤙🏻 Here's an addendum from a day later: Unfortunately, the employees, especially the young woman, are completely overwhelmed with taking orders. You can only order in the store if you're also eating there, unfortunately, you only find out about this after waiting in line for a while. Ordering and paying right away wasn't possible, so you had to queue outside again...it felt like you were at the police station!

We can't judge the food because we've lost our appetite. The sandwiches are made with bare fingers, no gloves or tongs—that's completely unacceptable for us.

The food tastes good and looks very pretty. Due to the decorative presentation, it's not always easy to eat ;) We waited 20 minutes to order, and another 10 minutes for the food. That's too long for takeaway food in my opinion. At lunchtime (1 p.m.), you might want to have more than two people in the shop. So, I recommend it – if you have time to wait.

The most delicious fish I've ever eaten in Germany

We went to Fischjung today and ordered two fish and chips (pollock). After about a 10-15 minute wait, our order finally arrived. The fish was delicious, but unfortunately, there were only two fairly small pieces. The rest of the bag was filled with soggy (presumably frozen) fries. For €14.80 including a drink, that's not acceptable.

The interior of the restaurant is decorated with various fish motifs and has a great atmosphere. ✨ The staff are also very friendly and provide a pleasant service. However, since there are only two staff members who handle all the cooking and ordering, you may feel like you have to wait a long time when it is busy. The prices are reasonable, but the portions are large and the food was very delicious. 😋

The boss was so kind and the food was really delicious 🍀 I had fish and chips with a fish called Zander, which is not common in Korea. The fries were really tasty and the fish was plump and delicious ㅠㅠ In particular, the garlic sauce was really tasty 🖤 I heard that they make all the sauces themselves, and I could feel the pride they take in the food they make :) I had fries, but while I was sitting down to eat, many customers ordered sweet potato fries! The sweet potato fries must have been really delicious too… Next time I come to Schwerin, I’ll have to try the sweet potato fries!

We were exploring Schwerin on Ascension Day and, looking for something to eat, spontaneously stopped in here with six people. "De Fischjung" is small but nice and offers both indoor and outdoor seating. The food is freshly prepared, and the menu isn't overly extensive. We received a very friendly welcome and immediately felt at home. Along with fried fish and fries, we ordered the pulled salmon burger – the best decision! Super delicious 😋 Everyone really enjoyed it, especially since the portions were generous. We'll be back, plenty hungry 😁

Patience is required here, as everything is prepared individually and freshly... So be prepared to wait... The ambiance and concept are good, but it's certainly not a recipe for long-term success...

We had delicious fish sandwiches in the tiny restaurant. They were very tasty. Unfortunately, we had to share a table with other people, and we couldn't find a restroom in the restaurant... But the fish sandwiches were truly exceptional.

We were specifically looking for something special, new, and different, and found it here with these guys. Very friendly owners. The food was prepared as ordered and requested, and it was ready for pickup quickly. We all thought it tasted delicious and something different. It's just a shame that everything is now self-service and cleared away. The fries had too much salt, the portions were a bit too small, but the prices were reasonable. The restrooms could be improved.

The food there is truly delicious! I've tried quite a few dishes, and it's always fresh and lovingly prepared. It's always busy, too, which speaks for itself in my opinion. Here you get authentic and delicious fish sandwiches, not that highly processed taste like at Nordsee, for example. Definitely recommend it!

The appearance and quality of the products can be seen and felt. Personally I didn't appreciate the matjes doner, the flavor was entirely covered by sauces. The salmon sandwich and the potatoes fried in lard were very good. The wait was long and seating was limited
