Unfortunately, nothing went right this evening. The service seemed stressed and, at times, unwelcoming. The atmosphere wasn't cozy at all, rather quite unpleasant (loud acoustics). The Christmas menu was mediocre to disappointing. The roast duck was inedibly dry, and the red cabbage was served lukewarm/cold. Sadly, we won't be returning.

We've eaten at this cozy little restaurant with its excellent service many times. We recently returned with friends for the Christmas menu. They offer a vegan and a classic option, with or without wine pairings. Both were superb, with perfectly selected wines, and offered excellent value for money. We'll definitely be back.

The Christmas menu in Hamburg was a true delight. Only the intermediate course (fricassee) lacked a touch of freshness – a bit of lemon would have been perfect. But that's nitpicking at a very high level. The wine pairing was excellent. I'd gladly return.

Very good, high-quality food at reasonable prices. Pleasant atmosphere. Friendly, somewhat reserved service. But all in all, a successful evening!

Upscale restaurant at Övelgönne Harbor. The location is great, but unfortunately, you can hardly see any ships from the square. The dishes are creative and delicious. The restaurant is quite small and very cozy. We visited for the first time because we wanted to try something new. If you're looking for something special, this is the place to go. We will definitely be back. There is no parking at the restaurant.

On August 9, 2025, there was a wedding reception at the Weisse Haus restaurant, and we were there. Wow, what a fantastic location. Incredibly delicious food. Super friendly staff. The menu was very reasonably priced. It was very nice, and I will always recommend it. Thank you🙏 to the Weisse Haus team.

We celebrated our wedding at the White House Restaurant – and it was simply perfect! From the very first moment, we felt completely at home. The food was an absolute dream – amazing in taste and beautifully presented. The service was warm, attentive, and always there with a smile. Everything was prepared with such attention to detail that we felt like we were in a little fairytale. We couldn't have imagined a more beautiful wedding ceremony and reception. Thank you to the entire team – you gave us an unforgettable day! ❤️

Yesterday we visited the "White House" and enjoyed the gourmet menu. This menu was imaginative, delicious, and varied...and excellent value for money. A food intolerance was dealt with extremely carefully and very professionally. The service was friendly, discreet, and prompt. The ambiance is well-maintained and modern. Unfortunately, the seating is quite close together and, when the house is full, quite noisy. In nice weather, the well-maintained outdoor area is recommended.

We had one of the most memorable dinners of our lives. We tried six different dishes, each one surpassing the last in flavor and presentation. The Portuguese wine we selected was equally delicious. Mr. Felix, the staff member who attended to us, was remarkably kind and attentive throughout the evening. All the notes we included during the reservation were thoughtfully considered. We found the background music perfectly chosen for the ambiance (at one moment, a piece by Anoushka Shankar was playing). Highly recommended for anyone looking for a special evening.

My wife and I have been to the Wesse Haus several times, and it was always excellent. I highly recommend it.

We've had a fatastic dining experience here. I probably never had such a good aspargus soup in my life. And their Konigsberger Klobse are from another sphere of taste. Well well done! Def would recommend to anyone who values perfect serving manners combined with spot on tasting meals. Thanks again for making that evening such a special memory.

We came to celebrate a birthday within the family. We were thrilled by the perfect service; calm, calm, precise, perfectly informed about food and wine. Friendly, reserved but warm. A quiet, elegant, family restaurant. The food composition was very good, very well prepared. I can fully and warmly recommend a visit. The prices, especially in menus, are more than reasonable and moderate for the excellent service.

We celebrated our daughter's confirmation in the captain's room. The food and service were wonderful and we will always have fond memories of the day because of the great team.

There were 7 of us and we ate the spring menu (normal and vegan)! Mega delicious and great wines to accompany it👍 We'll be back🤗😎

Sehr tolles Essen! Jeder Gang war ein Traum. Wir waren schon mehrmals hier. Früher war der Service nicht so toll. Das hat sich geändert. Preis-Leistung ist völlig in Ordnung. Sehr empfehlenswert. Man kann gegenüber an der Elbe Parken.

We were here for a dinner as part of TheFork festival, where you could get 50% reduction excluding drinks. Unfortunately we had another appointment, there we did not have long time to enjoy our dinner. However, all in all, we were very satisfied with the service received and the price/performance was quite good, but of course considering the reduction included.

Four of us were there for the favorite menu from the Hamburger Abendblatt and spent a very nice evening with good food and correspondingly good wine. The service was extremely friendly and accommodating. We can highly recommend the restaurant and would be happy to come back!

Wir waren zu Viert an einem Samstagabend im Weissen Haus und hatten das Abendblatt-Lieblingsmenue (5 Gänge mit Weinbegleitung) gebucht. Service war freundlich, zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Das Essen war optisch als auch kulinarisch sehr gut, allerdings empfanden wir (erfahrene Menuesser) die gereichten Portionen als zu klein. Bei dem Vor- und Zwischengang konnte man mit Mühe zwei Mal die Gabel füllen..... Die Weinportionen (0,1 l pro Gang)waren ordentlich und die Auswahl sehr passend zum Essen. Insgesamt ein gutes Erlebnis, schade, dass auf Grund der minimalen Portionen ein etwas unbefriedigender Magen zurück blieb. Diesem könnte man mit nur gering größerem Wareneinsatz einfach abhelfen. Für "gute Esser" und mit richtigem Hunger nicht zu empfehlen.

We were there on Christmas Day and had the duck Christmas menu. The parsnip dip was not our thing. The venison tartare was good, I would just put less cumin in it. The duck was tasty, but one dumpling is definitely not enough. The dessert Rumhkugel apple ragout with vanilla sauce was ok. So now we come to the ambience: we sat in the second floor room, unfortunately it was VERY stuffy and very loud, since it is an old building, it was extremely reverberating. We tilted the windows but it was still very warm/stuffy.

Stets ein wunderbares Gasterlebnis. Netter Service, gute Weine und leckeres abwechslungsreiches und saisonales Essen.

Dinner für 2 Personen zum 3.Advent Geordert wurden beide Wintermenüs , Classic sowie das Vegane Menü. Vielversprechend und gut geschrieben hat das Lokal Kulinarisch auf ganzer Linie wie ein roter faden versagt. Wir sind beide sprachlos und verstehen nicht was uns passiert ist, die Idee und das Konzept war gut und viel versprechend geschrieben aber geschmacklich leider nicht verkäuflich. Jeder einzelne Gang der beiden weihnachts Winter Menüs sollten geschmacklich sowie handwerklich überdenkt werden. Bitte. Die Kellnerin, sowie das Personal des Abends war freundlich und bemüht. Das Lokal liegt toll und ist gemütlich eingerichtet.

UnderVegs: First of all, I would like to mention that I only rate the vegan menu. This was our third time there. The first two times were mediocre and we thought it could only get better. We didn't think it would get any worse. We had the vegan late summer menu. It started with the amateurish home-baked rolls with a boring baba ganoush dip, to a dry, absolutely unseasoned potato in the main course that was barely edible, to a dessert that can hardly be beaten in terms of creativity. I don't want to go into further detail. It's really such a shame because there are so few restaurants in Hamburg that offer vegan menus, but unfortunately that's not how it works. We won't visit the restaurant a fourth time unless the chef familiarizes himself with the fantastic world of plant-based cuisine :)

Yesterday we tried the new carte blanche 6-course surprise menu. Great class! Thanks to the kitchen and the whole team! A great treat and absolutely recommended. We have been loyal regular guests for years. Yesterday we were once again convinced that the White House is worth every visit. Gladly again and again!

The tuna sashimi was more like a tuna carpaccio...10 transparent, €2-sized slices!? 20€ is definitely not appropriate!...Behind “Hasselbach” there are 2 small potatoes with a few white mini beans on a cauliflower cream...would perhaps be ok as a starter for 7.90€, but for that 23.50€!?...plus a cockroach in the toilet and a sloppy service without any joy in the work (you shouldn't have had any stress with 3 tables with a total of 9 guests)…

We'll never come back, even though we were always satisfied: €23.50 for 2 small potatoes with some beans and cauliflower cream is a disgrace! We were fobbed off with the question of why I had chosen a vegan main course. The tuna sashimi was very thin, very transparent and cost-effectively prepared...we have 10 other reasons to warn you all! Too bad. We're ordering pizza now

 Ich habe das Sommermenü gegessen , um das Lokal kennen zu lernen. Ich war von dem Nachtisch und auch vom Hauptgericht enttäuscht. Der Thunfisch war lecker. Die Weinkarte zu klein und die Weinpreise für die Qualität, die angeboten wurde, zu hoch. Auch wenn das Essen sehr günstig ist, ist es meiner Meinung nach ein Fehler, bei so einem Aktions Programm eine schlechte Qualität anzubieten.. ich weiß nicht, ob ich dort noch einmal hingehe

Top Qualität und Top Servicekraft! Die Zeiten zwischen den einzelnen Gängen war für uns ein wenig lang, aber das ist auch das einzige Manko und natürlich sehr subjektiv.

Ein sehr gelungener Abend mit durchaus innovativem Essen und guter Weinbegleitung. P.S. wenn man mit der Fähre z.B. vom Fischmarkt kommt ist es für jeden, der die FHH liebt, ein Highlight!

Wir waren schon mehrmals hier. Es ist immer wieder ein besonderer Abend. Das Essen inspiriert, so etwas zu Hause nachzukochen. Aber da hat der Koch sicher ein paar Geheimnisse. Service aufmerksam, nicht übertrieben. Kennt sich mit Weinempfehlungen aus. Ambiente ruhig, geschmackvolle Einrichtung.

Ein sehr zu empfehlendes Top Lokal der gehobenen Gastronomie. Sehr freundlicher Empfang und gepflegte Karte. Alle Speisen waren zu unsere Zufriedenheit und wurden zeitnah serviert. Wenn wir das nächste Mal nach Hamburg kommen, kommen wir gerne wieder.

The reservation was made online and without any problems. We were able to choose a table on site and chose two different menus. Each dish and wine was explained individually and the presentation of the dishes as well as the taste were great. Thank you for a great evening with excellent value for money.

Die Reservierung erfolgte online und ohne Probleme. Wir konnten uns vor Ort einen Tisch aussuchen und haben uns für 2 unterschiedliche Menü's entschieden. Jede Speise und jeder Wein wurde einzeln erklärt und die Präsentation der Gerichte, wie auch der Geschmack waren super. Danke für einen tollen Abend bei einem hervorragenden Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis.

Significantly better than expected. 5 out of 6 dishes were perfect, one could be optimized in our opinion. Even the wine was unusual and a discovery. I really don't think a rating below 4.5 is justified. I will remember the tahini creme brulee with sesame asparagus for a long time.

We were in “the white house” for the second time on a Sunday evening as part of the Hamburger Abendblatt “Favorite Menu”. The restaurant was completely booked on a Sunday evening. The service was busy, but was very courteous and competent. The food (set 5-course menu) was very tasty and the corresponding wines were well selected. If you want to spend a quiet evening in a beautiful restaurant on the Elbe with good food, this is the right place for you.

Unfortunately there are still worlds between expectations and reality. The location is very good, the atmosphere is simple, almost cool. The service was friendly and attentive but (during our visit in mid-December) overloaded, which resulted in longer waiting times. There was no wine advice even upon request. The prices are very high, which can perhaps be justified by the material used in the food; the food is good; But that can't come as a surprise, there's still room for improvement. The drinks prices are completely exorbitant (€8 for 0.7l of water). For the money you can eat better in Hamburg, which is a shame.

A beautifully furnished maritime restaurant directly at the Neumühlen pier. Comfortable chairs! The winter menu was excellent **** but the portions were so big that we couldn't finish everything, which was a shame. The wine accompaniment was very finely tuned, well suited and offered some new impressions for our very wine-experienced table. The service. unobtrusive, attentive. A small downer: Some dishes in the vegetarian menu were very salty, bordering on too salty for our taste. We will definitely come back if there is something special for friends from outside. Traveling with the HVV ferry No. 62 is highly recommended!

Gute Auswahl an leckeren Speisen. Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Hatten Geschäftsessen mi 6 Personen und ALLE waren begeistert.

Immer wieder begeistert mich das Ambiente in diesem kleinen Restaurant an der Elbe. Dazu die hervorragende Küche und das kompetente und freundliche Personal! Die Karte ist klein, was schon ein gutes Zeichen ist, es gibt Fisch- und Fleischgerichte und auch Veganes. Gekocht wird bodenständig/raffiniert, eine schöne interessante Mischung. Einziger Minuspunkt: Bei den offenen Roten waren zwei Angebote aus Übersee. Muß nicht sein.

I've eaten here several times (vegan Elb-Gourmandie) and have always been more than satisfied. With food, service and ambience. Well: the first course was a smoked sauerkraut soup and it was really over salted. My companion and I didn't get more than three spoons down and explained the problem to the service. He took the soups and said he would let the kitchen know. The bad thing was: as a replacement there was pea soup, which was also too salty. Not quite that bad, but so bad that we couldn't finish the small bowl. From that moment on we felt like troublemakers. Very unprofessional! The second course (beetroot risotto) was ok but bland and without sophistication. The main course: Königsberger meatballs made from lentils: totally over salted again. We each only ate 1.5 of the three meatballs and felt like we had consumed three days' worth of salt. When we asked why we hadn't eaten and said that the chef was probably in love, the service was gone as quickly as it came. The dessert (pumpkin cake) was ok but again bland and without sophistication. The chef must be a new one!?! Bottom line: a really bad meal for two people for €155 including a €7.50 tip, not even the espresso was on the house as compensation, the feeling was that we were wrong and troublemakers. That was definitely the last time I left my money in the White House. If you want great vegan food, you're better off going to the Marquis in Altona-Altstadt.

Immer wieder ein Erlebnis. Wir freuen uns schon aufs nächste Mal...

Ich war schon mehrfach hier essen (vegane Elb-Gourmandie) und immer mehr als zufrieden. Mit Essen, Service und Ambiente. Diesmal: der erste Gang war eine Suppe vom geräucherten Sauerkraut und wirklich total versalzen. Meine Begleitung und ich haben nicht mehr als drei Löffel runter bekommen und dem Service das Problem geschildert. Er nahm die Suppen und meinte, er würde der Küche Bescheid geben. Das Schlimme war: als Ersatz gab es eine Erbsensuppe, die ebenfalls versalzen war. Nicht ganz so schlimm, aber so, das wir die kleine Schüssel nicht aufessen konnten. Ab dem Moment fühlten wir uns als Querulanten behandelt . Sehr unprofessionell! Der zweite Gang (Rote-Beete-Risotto) war ok aber lieblos und ohne Raffinesse. Der Hauptgang: Königsberger Klopse aus Linsen: wieder total versalzen. Von drei Klopsen aßen wir jeder nur 1,5 und hatten das Gefühl, die Salzmenge von drei Tagen zu uns genommenen haben. Als wir auf Nachfrage, warum wir nicht aufgegessen hatten, sagten, dass der Koch wohl verliebt sei, war der Service so schnell weg wie er gekommen war. Das Dessert (Kürbiskuchen) war dann wieder ok aber wieder lieblos und ohne Raffinesse. Der Koch muss ein neuer sein!?! Quintessenz: ein wirklich schlechtes Essen für zwei Personen für 155€ inclusive 7,50€ Trinkgeld, noch nicht einmal der Espresso ging aufs Haus als Entschädigung, das Gefühl, wir wären falsch und Querulanten. Das war definitiv das letzte Mal, das ich im Weißen Haus mein Geld gelassen habe. Wer tolles, vegetarisches oder veganes Essen möchte, geht besser ins Marquis in Altona-Altstadt.

Wunderbare Speisen und Weine waren gut aufeinander abgestimmt. Der Service erfolgte umsichtig und zuvorkommend. Für uns war es ein gelungener Abend, mit einer Rückfahrt auf der Fähre.

A wonderful restaurant. The food was excellent and the service was absolutely top.

Wir haben das Lieblingsmenue genossen und waren absolut begeistert. Die begleitenden Weine passten sehr gut zu jedem Gang und das Menue war wirklich pfiffig. Bedient wurden wir von einem sehr freundlichen und aufmerksamen jungen Mann. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Tolles Hamburger Restaurant mit brillanter Küche, tollem Wein und das alles an der Elbe. Wirkliche Empfehlung!

Sehr schönes Restaurant, das Essen war qualitativ sehr gut, der Service hervorragend. Sehr zu empfehlen! Ein Problem gibt es mit Parkplätzen.

Zu einem Restaurantbesuch gehört auch etwas zur Ruhe zu kommen. Wenn aber die ganze Aufmerksamkeit anderen Gästen zu Teil wird und die Darreichung der Karten für Getränke und Speisen bereits mehr als 30 Minuten braucht ist mit den Vorspeisen nicht vor 60 Minuten zu rechnen, so war es dann auch: 90. Sicher ist ein solches Restaurant nicht für Eilige sinnvoll, aber in der Beobachtung dass später erschienene Nachbarn ihr Essen deutlich früher bekamen hatten wir auch kein Interesse an weiteren Getränken. Das Essen war sehr gut, allein der Service klappte an diesem Abend nicht.

Wir haben dort das Schlemmer Sommer Menü genossen. Es war vorzüglich! Besonders erwähnenswert ist das Wassernelonen Sashimi. Dieses Haus ist sehr zu empfehlen und wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Leckereres, kreatives Essen und aufmerksamer Service, aber größeren Gruppen drinnen im Restaurant verständlicherweise etwas lauter

Wir haben uns alle sehr wohl gefühlt und wurden kulinarisch wirklich überrascht. Es war ein sehr tolles Erlebnis und wir kommen wieder.
