Schöner Biergarten, direkt am Starnberger See. Wir waren zum steckerlfisch Esse da. Wirklich gut. Makrele war gut gegriĺlt dazu hatte ich Kartoffelsalat.

Unfreundliches Personal, wir wurden mit einer unfreundlichen Mahnung empfangen, den "falschen Eingang" zur Terasse genommen zu haben. Der "richtige" Eingang war von unserer Seite aber gar nicht zu erkennen. Wir sind dann ohne zu Speisen wieder gegangen und werden dort nicht mehr einkehren !

Mein Freund wollte hierhin, da er schon öfter da war und ein Fan von der Location ist, für mich war es das erste Mal. Die Location ist wunderschön (deshalb 2 Sterne), direkt am See aber das war’s dann auch schon mit dem positiven Erlebnis. Die Parkmöglichkeiten waren bei gutem Wetter bescheiden. Das Servicepersonal war zwar freundlich aber unser Tisch war dreckig und auf das Essen mussten wir recht lange warten. Essen war geschmacklich ok aber nicht überragend - Preis-/Leistung passt überhaupt nicht. Am Ende hat mein Freund noch ein Espresso bestellt, der einfach vergessen wurde und das obwohl nicht viel los war, halb besetzt ca. Darauf hin haben wir um die Rechnungen gebeten. Soweit so gut, allerdings ging es meinem Freund paar Std. später sehr schlecht und es hat sich herausgestellt, dass er eine Lebensmittelvergiftung hat. Da wir am Abend zuvor beide das gleiche gegessen haben und an dem Tag nur dort zum Essen waren, kann es nur vor dort kommen. Das geht absolut gar nicht, bei so einem Restaurant! Für mich war es das erste und letzte Mal!

Ausgereicht. Ambiente am See ist einer die beste. Essen (Seezunge) war hervorragend. Bedienung freundlich, aufmerksam und mit ein Lächeln. Wir kommen wieder.

Unfreundliches Personal auf der Terrasse. Restaurantleiter professionell.

Einer der schönsten Orte zum Verweilen. Hier herrscht eine Atmosphäre, in der die Zeit stillzustehen scheint, fast wie eine Ruhe des Lebens selbst. Wenn man sich erlaubt, zur Ruhe zu kommen und wirklich anzukommen, entsteht eine Art Meditation, geformt von Licht, Wasser und Weite. Die Speisekarte spiegelt diese Klarheit wider. Sie ist schlicht und doch umso durchdachter. Tagliolini mit Trüffel, ein Glas Riesling – und etwas im Trüffel, dieses tiefe, erdige Aroma, das sich fast unerwartet entfaltet und einen in ein stilles Wohlgefühl versetzt. Zusammen mit den ersten Blüten im Mai und der Präsenz des Sees fühlt es sich vollkommen an. Die Terrasse bietet einen Ausblick, der in seiner Ruhe fast unwirklich wirkt. Und doch ist sie nicht von Menschenmassen überlaufen. Sie bleibt wie ein kleines Juwel, still bewahrt. Der Service ist aufmerksam, präsent, ohne aufdringlich zu sein. Alles trägt zu diesem Gefühl der Geborgenheit bei. Hier kann man sich verlieren, im gegenwärtigen Moment, in seiner Schönheit. Es ist kein Wunder, dass dieser See so viele Schriftsteller angezogen hat und so viel Poesie in sich birgt. Auch die Fische erzählen von diesem Ort, frisch, fast direkt aus dem See. Ein Ort, zu dem man zurückkehren und verweilen möchte. Denn hier vergeht die Zeit nicht. Sie steht still.

Wir waren gestern bei traumhaftem Frühlingswetter da und waren begeistert von der tollen Lage direkt am Seeufer. Da wir auf der Terrasse gesessen haben konnten wir den Blick auf den See direkt genießen. Wir hatten uns jeder eine Vorspeise entschieden und wurden nicht enttäuscht. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und wir mussten auch nicht lange auf unser Essen warten. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall bald wieder.

Uns hat es sehr gut gefallen. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet, der Service sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Einziger Kritikpunkt war, dass es teilweise zu schnell mit dem Servieren des nächsten Ganges ging. Insgesamt gelungen und auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert.

Wer es etwas extravaganter möchte ist hier genau richtig. Super Service, nettes Personal und super Brunch.

Leider passen die hohen Preise nicht zu den Portionsgrößen. Wir hatten Spargel und Ochsenbacken, die Portionen gleichen einer Vorspeise. Zusätzlich liegt der Aufpreis für ein kleines paniertes Kalbsschnitzel zum Spargel bei +16€. Das Servicepersonal ist unmotiviert. Wir hatten eine schmutzige Tischdecke und Besteck, welches erst nach Aufforderung durch uns getauscht wurde. Geschmacklich gab es nichts auszusetzen. Bei so einem hochpreisigem Lokal erwartet man jedoch mehr. Ich kann das Lokal nicht weiterempfehlen.

So ein unglaublich gutes Schnitzel habe ich wirklich noch nie gegessen – extrem lecker und von sehr hoher Qualität. Der Service war super aufmerksam, freundlich und einfach herzlich. Man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Auch die Getränke waren top: der Prosecco richtig gut und die hausgemachte Limonade einfach fantastisch. Die Aussicht auf den See ist wunderschön – einfach ein Ort zum Genießen und Abschalten. Ist definitiv zu meinem Lieblingsort geworden! 💙 PS: Auch Hunde bekommen hier ganz viel Aufmerksamkeit – richtig toll! 🐾

VORBEHALTLOS zu empfehlen. Eine wunderschöne Location die für jeden was bietet. Toller Selbstbedienungsbiergarten mit gutem Essen und wirklich noch zivilen Preisen. Wär es etwas feiner möchte, geht in den bedienten Bereich . Hier gibt es gehobene Küche die natürlich auch ihren Preis hat, aber die Qualität des Essens und der extrem gute Service rechtfertigen dieses absolut. Obwohl wir nicht so weit weg wohnen, haben meine Frau und ich uns hier auch mal eine Übernachtung gegönnt. Tolles stillvolles Zimmer ( Sisi Zimmer ) mit unschlagbarem Ausblick. Das Frühstück war an Vielfalt und Qualität nicht zu topen. Auf alle unsere Sonderwünsche wurde gerne eingegangen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist auch die Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft des gesamten Personals. Hier ist nichts aufgesetzt, die Leute haben einfach Spaß an ihrer Arbeit. Wir hatten uns auch mit dem Inhaber unterhalten. Auch hier merkt man dass es für ihn nicht nur ein Arbeitsplatz ist. Er lebt seinen Job mit viel Herzblut . GANZ großes Kompliment !!! Wir haben uns dort eine kleine Pause mit Getränke gegönnt, die Lage ist super, man hat einen wunderbaren Ausblick, die Karte und die Auswahl ist ansprechend und das Personal sehr freundlich. Warum nur 4 Sterne!? Wir und ein paar andere Tische warteten eine Zeit lang bis eine Bedienung nach draußen kam (kam aber erst nachdem es jemand holte), zudem würde die Terrasse und dem Eingang ein klein wenig Pflege/Renovierung gut tun! Unter Berücksichtigung von Preis - Leistung reicht bei mir dann nur für vier Sterne.

Die Lage am See ist großartig! Das Essen schmeckt nicht schlecht. Das ist für die hohen Preise aber zu wenig. Dafür müsste es besser sein. Drinnen ist das Ambiente aber auch nur durchschnittlich.

We were there yesterday for brunch (a birthday celebration). The food was delicious. I especially want to mention the service, which tirelessly brought each course and simultaneously cleared the table, all while remaining friendly for hours. Our "main server," Alisia, deserves special mention. She was quick, patient, and always calm (despite the stress). She gets 5 stars+ for that.

Very disappointing. Microscopic portions, the price-performance ratio of the gourmet menu was completely unacceptable. The intermediate course consisted of a 2cm piece of fish, the main course a single tiny quail breast. We will not be returning. The next table had the same experience. Complete disregard from management, despite 11 complaints in one evening. The quality of the food itself, however, was very good. Rindchen should find other partners. The waitress was the highlight of the evening.

It was wonderful again. The food was so good, the ambiance absolutely beautiful, and the service was super friendly. Highly recommended!

I had lunch at Midgardhaus in Tutzing today and was absolutely delighted. The fresh pike-perch was excellent – ​​cooked to perfection and accompanied by delicate balsamic bulgur lentils and a wonderfully truffled mashed potato. The crème brûlée with tonka bean was also a real highlight to finish. The service was friendly, attentive, and efficient. Overall, a very pleasant atmosphere – I felt very comfortable and will definitely be back!

We were there for the dinner party and had a perfect menu with great wine. Every course was excellent. The head chef even came to our table. The kitchen delivered fantastic creations. The only drawback was the service. While the staff tried their best, they could use some training in proper service techniques. At these prices, that's to be expected. The ambiance is wonderful. We will definitely be back.

Unfortunately, I visited the shop twice, neither of which allowed me to stay for food or coffee. The first time they told us that you have to have a reservation and the second time, probably because I was wearing a helmet and motorcycle jacket, the answer was to sit outside the shop or alternatively go next to Beatgarten. Of course, I could not be satisfied with such answers, I would have expected something more polite.

I always like this place. Only today the waiter I encountered destroyed the mood a bit. He has blonde/brown hair, glasses, thin. He appears as discriminative and only friendly to some German customers. Very bad example.🫠 The rest of the team is wonderful.🥰 If I were the management team, I will have a serious feedback talk with him😉.

Amazing location with self service Bavarian food. The view is what makes place great. They had both lounge area and picnic tables so we were able to lounge there for a while and enjoy the view with great food and the local beer. A great way to spend a hot Sunday afternoon while visiting the area.

The Midgardhaus in Tutzing consists of a large self-service beer garden and an upscale restaurant. We tried both and have only good things to say. The property's location is stunningly beautiful, with a view of Lake Starnberg. The food in the restaurant was excellent. The staff was very friendly.

Unfortunately, on a warm, sunny Saturday afternoon in September, the bakery appears to be open only for wedding guests. A casual guest looking for afternoon coffee and cake will find only apple strudel, a meager selection of ice cream (only popsicles), and sad, warmed-up cakes. This experience, combined with the unhelpful, uncommunicative, and unfriendly service at the counter, significantly marred the otherwise appealing selection and pleasant ambiance. However, in my experience, the cake, when available, tastes excellent.

We ordered 3 drinks and food. When we asked for a bit of boiled water to prepare baby milk we were told we have to pay for tea which costs 7,90 Euro

We (four people) dined on the terrace on a sunny Sunday, August 17th. Two different waiters seemed unmotivated. The table was covered with small tree leaves. The waiter didn't remove them. We had to do it ourselves. He brought the napkins from the neighboring table and placed them before us without shaking them clean. He also forgot to bring the fried potatoes we had ordered. The waiter never came back to our table. We weren't asked once if we wanted anything else or if we were satisfied. The food was okay overall, except for the Pimientos de Padron, which were very bitter. The price for a 0.75l bottle of Adelholzener Sprudel (€9.90) is very high. You're paying for the view of the lake, which is understandable. We were disappointed; the service was poor, and this first visit will also be our last.

A traditional restaurant in a breathtaking setting. The Chateaubriand is excellent, the view of the lake is unique, and the service is great. Unfortunately, the wait for the food was not perfect. We had to wait 1.5 hours for our food. Requests for "virgin" drinks were ignored. Requests for cutlery were forgotten. It wasn't busy...the service could definitely improve. Still, it's recommended.

What can we say... it was simply a wonderful afternoon/evening with you. The stars simply couldn't reach... it's rarely been so fantastic. So beautifully arranged. And the quality is simply wonderful. The olive oil was mild and full of flavor, the mashed potatoes were like grandma's, and the roast beef with gremolata was a culinary dream. The Kaiserschmarrn was gigantic... Yes, and the highlight was the absolutely fantastic service. This warmth, this attentiveness, is unfortunately rare these days. But here everything was perfect, and we felt so comfortable. Chapeau, and see you soon.

The Midgard-Haus shines in new splendor after its recent renovation. The decor in soft pastel tones creates a bright yet relaxed atmosphere. The winter garden, from which you can enjoy a stunning view of Lake Ammersee, is particularly noteworthy. In warm weather, the spacious outdoor dining area is also inviting, while the cozy interior also exudes charm. Only some of the atmosphere is somewhat lost at some tables with a direct view into the kitchen. The service is impressive across the board: attentive, courteous, and pleasantly fast. The bar is also impressive – the cocktail selection is high-quality, and the Negroni is an absolute delight. The Midgard-Haus offers an impressive culinary variety. The menu is seasonal, rich in fresh fish and meat dishes, complemented by attractive vegetarian options. The king prawns and beef tartare are particularly recommended as appetizers – tastefully prepared with fine finesse. As a main course, the Chateaubriand for two is a real highlight: perfectly cooked, flambéed at the table, and combined with a choice of side dishes, it's an experience that can be flexibly arranged even for larger groups. The quality of the food and the overall experience are very fair to the price. Especially in the summer months, when you can sit in the garden overlooking the lake, the Midgard House is a special place to which you'll gladly return.

The location alone is impressive: From the terrace and the large windows in the restaurant, you have a stunning view over Lake Starnberg to the Alps – simply priceless, especially at sunset. The food was consistently excellent: fresh, sophisticatedly presented, and of a very high standard of taste. You can tell that great importance is placed on quality here. I particularly enjoyed the combination of regional cuisine with Mediterranean accents. The service is also a real plus: attentive, friendly, and professional without being intrusive. This makes you feel completely welcome. The prices may be a bit higher, but in my opinion, they are absolutely justified – you not only get great food, but also an exceptional overall package of ambiance, view, and enjoyment. My conclusion: The Midgardhaus is the perfect place for a relaxed dinner, a romantic dinner, or a special occasion. Anyone traveling around Lake Starnberg shouldn't miss this experience.

You're at the lake on the weekend and you're feeling a bit hungry, so we came here. The beer garden itself is perfect by the lake, with clean restrooms and nice weather. The portions are modest, but the price is just too high for the view.

We spontaneously asked for a table on a Friday afternoon. Great atmosphere, very good and attentive service. The food is definitely worth the price. We'd go back anytime.

A few days ago, we had lunch on the terrace at Midgardshaus to celebrate our wedding anniversary. When I made the reservation over the phone, I had already mentioned that it was a special occasion and asked for a beautiful, festively set table. Unfortunately, this suggestion was completely ignored. The reception was rather unwelcoming: We had to make ourselves known before a waiter with a bored expression came over and sent us to a table without a word. There was no sign of a warm welcome. The rest of the service also seemed listless, lacking energy or charisma. The reference to our wedding anniversary was completely ignored – no congratulations, no little extra, not even a friendly word. When asked for a recommendation, the only response was: "Everything is good, everything is special" – and the waiter disappeared again. For a restaurant in this price range, that's simply disappointing. The food itself was good, but the value for money wasn't up to scratch, as the service and ambiance weren't up to scratch. The view is beautiful, but the cheap umbrellas on the terrace seem out of place and spoil the atmosphere. Summary: Good food, but lackluster service, neither fitting the prices nor the special occasion. A real shame, as we had hoped for much more.

Das „Flying Buffet“ bis in den frühen Nachmittag bedeutete, dass uns laufend frisch zubereitete, abwechslungsreiche und wunderschön angerichtete Speisen direkt am Tisch serviert wurden. Jeder Gang war ein Genuss, von der Qualität der Zutaten bis zur kreativen Präsentation. Der Service war aufmerksam, freundlich und stets zur Stelle, ohne jemals aufdringlich zu wirken. Top location with very good Mediterranean cuisine, would definitely go back!

The food was delicious! A little on the expensive side...but the location right on the lake is worth it!

The beer garden was a disappointment.

Unfortunately, I can't comment on the food or ambiance, as we—a group of 12—wanted to dine in the empty restaurant today, but were ushered out with the words: "Everything's booked," and when I asked when they'd be open, they told me "all day." Ridiculous! We could have sat outside on the terrace in the rain—arrogant and completely unacceptable.

We went to brunch at Midgardhaus – Augustiner am See. Even though the weather unfortunately wasn't great and we couldn't sit on the beautiful terrace, the brunch was absolutely fabulous. The food was varied, fresh, and delicious. The excellent service deserves special mention – friendly, attentive, and always present. An all-around successful visit – we'd love to come back!

The service is truly outstanding. We've rarely seen such friendly, attentive staff as at Midgardhaus. The food is fantastic, and the location adds to the wonderful evening. We always enjoy coming here.
