If you don't want "standard" Greek food, this is the place for you. Seafood top and fresh. The farmer's salt was great with a great vinegar/oil dressing. It was noticed that an excellent olive oil was used. The liver was buttery tender and grilled until crispy on the outside. Desserts are also a delight. Great cook!!! We were served very professionally, friendly and charmingly by Mona. Great service!!!

What does everyone immediately think of when they think of Greek cuisine? Olive oil, garlic, lots of meat or fish, everything fresh, colorful and rich. You don't tend to associate it with top-class cuisine, and you'll probably hardly find it in taverns in the Mediterranean region. It's a shame actually. But you'll find what you're looking for in Wart bei Altensteig, where there are actually creative variations of the usual Greek menu staples. Example Tzatziki: Available here in red. And it actually tastes completely different. Gherkin was once used instead of cucumber. Result: Too much acid. So fried tomato paste was added. Okay, it's no longer tzatziki, but the result is really good. A visit is really worth it, especially since Georgios absolutely lives up to his claim of offering guests a fantastic experience.

We had the pleasure of visiting this place twice during our stay, and it did not disappoint! The food was absolutely delicious, and the service was impeccable—truly top-notch. If you're dining here, we highly recommend trying the magic ball dessert; it’s an unforgettable experience, literally served on fire!

We were looking for a Greek restaurant and came across the Mediterranean restaurant online. The food was super delicious from the starter to the dessert. The greeting from the kitchen is a nice touch. Everyone is very nice and friendly. Good service was available throughout the entire visit. It also explains in detail what is on your plate. The food was very good. I had the saffron manestra, which was really impressive in terms of taste. Overall, we really enjoyed the visit and I could imagine coming back again. Unfortunately I live a little further away, so it probably won't work out again anytime soon😄 A very pleasant atmosphere for couples.

An incredibly beautiful hidden Greek restaurant! Food top Ambiance top Service more than top I've been there twice now and both times I felt really comfortable. Very friendly welcome from the boss and extremely friendly service from the employee who served us! Both had a very likeable charisma and a consistently happy demeanor. About the food: 5 out of 5 stars says it all. Price performance top! I can only personally recommend it, sometimes just a starter plate is enough to fill you up. The atmosphere in the main room is super cozy, in the next room there are more tables and a children's games area. The only thing that caught my eye was the small selection of images and the way they were positioned. It was relatively difficult to find the first time. However, there is now signage.

The previous reviews are incomprehensible to me - when we visited, the chef either had a miserable day or was completely overwhelmed. After an eternity of waiting (1 1/2 hours) the gyros we ordered arrived. The wafer-thin strips of meat were partly burnt, straw-dry and blandly seasoned. The homemade fries lacked the crunch and the spice mixture used wasn't to my taste either. The tzatziki tasted ok, but without grated cucumbers an important component was missing. Conclusion: I would have expected something different for the somewhat higher price range - this was the first and certainly only visit.

The food is a bit pricey but of good quality. That's why the price-performance ratio is right. The menu is manageable, but what is available is of top quality. We like to go there (several times) and will definitely come back.

Food: people are reaching for the stars, but there is a bit of a lack of expertise (lumps in the pudding, dried herbs everywhere - that's too much and everything tastes the same, a shame for the great ingredients! Slightly larger plates would sometimes be advantageous, ...) Ambience: the best was brought out - great! It is what it is - but the location/area is extremely difficult. Based on the reviews and delicious pictures here, I definitely expected more. Maybe we were just unlucky today. Waited 1 hour and 20 minutes for our food, for 3x gyros with fries, once with extra liver, twice with a side salad. The liver was very tasty, but there were hardly any gyros on one plate, unfortunately the gyros were mainly dry... And the fries were homemade, but unfortunately not really a hit. And the "apology" for why everything took so long was just audacious... That would have been because we had ordered salad, which was an appetizer... Sorry, but what I ordered was "gyros with fries and a side salad" and a side dish is part of a dish. And you could also see a lot of hungry faces at the other tables, they must have all ordered their salad “wrong”. Sorry, but if things don't go smoothly for whatever reason, then honestly, it's best to say it when you order, so the visit was unfortunately very frustrating and what was on the plate after almost 1 1/2 hours... Unfortunately there was no compensation for this.

We were looking for a Greek restaurant and came across the Mediterranean one. We enjoyed the food very much, from the main course, the greetings from the kitchen to the dessert. You can tell that a lot of emphasis is placed on quality and that the guest should feel comfortable. It also explains in detail what is on your plate. We can recommend the Mediterranean without exception, and we can also take a longer journey to eat there. We will definitely go there again.

Great discovery!! As soon as we entered the restaurant we were warmly welcomed. The service was consistently friendly, courteous and very attentive. You felt very welcome. We were also impressed by the food. Even the simplest side dishes (e.g. mashed potatoes) were so well seasoned that they became a taste experience. In general, we were very impressed with the quality and taste of the food. The ambience may seem a bit old-fashioned at first glance, but it is lovingly furnished and we felt comfortable. All in all, we can highly recommend this restaurant - it's definitely worth a visit :-)

We went here for dinner for the first time about 6 weeks ago. The restaurant is somewhat hidden in the building complex of the former Dekra Hotel. We received a very warm and extremely friendly welcome and were escorted to our table. The waiter and waitress are extremely friendly and fulfill your every wish. After ordering the drinks and food, we were served a "greeting from the kitchen", which was very tasty. The food was beyond our expectations, very authentic and typically Greek. A tasty and visual treat. You had to wait about 30 minutes for the food, but for a freshly prepared meal with home-made fries etc... that's still a relatively short wait. The only point of criticism is the outdated furnishings on the terrace, which in itself has a lot of potential. We liked the food so much that we went there again two weeks later. We would definitely recommend the restaurant.

The food - great. It takes a while to prepare, but it's cooked to perfection and super tasty. The staff is great. Very good advice and explanations of the dishes and, if necessary, the preparation. Fast service. Special requests no problem. Very child friendly. Joke with the kids, treats and if you need them, high chairs are available. Parking is no problem, just in the underground car park. Ambience is nice, but still needs some improvement. Toilets in the basement. Large portion.

I can only warmly recommend the Mediterranean in the Stuttgart area. The ambience, the hospitality and of course the food was on point. My wife got the chicken souvlaki and I got the lamb chop with grilled vegetables. We were given a cold appetizer platter in advance, which produced a wide variety of cold dishes. A perfect restaurant for a wonderful evening! I'm already looking forward to the next time ☺️

Four of us had dinner on Saturday August 31st, 2024. When we found the advertisement in the form of a postcard from Greece, we spontaneously said: "Let's give this Greek a try!" Especially since we've been looking for a restaurant like this over the last few years. We love Greek food. The Mediterranean fulfilled all of our wishes and corresponded 100% to our expectations. Probably the best Greek around, if it weren't for this fundamental problem... Anyone who has already eaten in this restaurant will agree with me. The quality of the food is on a level that is second to none. The service and contact with the tenants have also been excellent so far. Unfortunately, a few weeks ago it happened again after I picked up two dishes after ordering by phone. When we opened the very well packaged dishes, it immediately became clear to us that the quantity of food on offer was once again critical, even though I had already pointed this fact out to the owner. This was justified in response to my comment that the food was weighed and served or prepared and packaged in the usual quantities in the catering industry. I would like to emphasize that we maintain normal eating habits and that our state of satiety can certainly be achieved with “normal” portions. In my opinion, the owner should note that both quality and quantity must be right. Especially in the Greek or other restaurants we know, this ratio is always correct... Looking at some of the reviews, it seems like we weren't the only ones having the problem... Unfortunately, we now have to do without the Mediterranean. We live in a time in which the catering industry is on the verge of collapse, which means that due to the explosion in costs, the so-called middle class will soon no longer be able to afford to go to a restaurant. Against this background, we can only recommend that the owner thoroughly reconsider his philosophy (on this one point). We still wish him continued success.

We went there for the first time and absolutely loved it. The starter platter (The Mediterranean) and the Surf & Turf platter were visually very beautifully presented. The food tasted excellent! We were there as a family of 7. The restaurant is beautifully decorated inside and out. I especially like the size of the tables. We often go to Greek restaurants and loved them! It's really a first class restaurant and the atmosphere there is great. You could tell that the chef attaches great importance to quality. It was all homemade and more generous portions. As a vegetarian, it's always difficult for me to find something at a Greek restaurant, usually there are only vegetarian starters and if you're lucky, a vegetarian dish. Here the owner is ahead of his time and sets a good example. With three dishes it's still manageable but it was enough for us. The waitress was very personable and a real host. We'll be back ☺️👍

Well seasoned, sufficiently large portions and the fact that there were home-made fries really impressed us. The only thing that is difficult is the ambience, with an outdated carpet in the restaurant and dirty awnings and parasols outside. But it doesn't detract from the overall picture.
