Wir haben hier wirklich fantastisches griechisches Essen genossen – wunderschöne, authentische Gerichte. Wir haben Griechenland richtig geschmeckt! Absolut empfehlenswert.

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen und es war nett. Im Biergarten selber ist durch weniger Unkraut im Pflaster Mehr raus zuholen aber gut. Das Gyros hat geschmeckt aber war von meiner Ansicht kein typisches Gyros und ganzschön ölig. Wer preiswert essen möchte sollte sich eher was anderes suchen.

Wir haben extra einen Umweg gemacht weil wir der guten Bewertung vertraut haben. Es ist kein schöner Biergarten, das Essen schmeckt durchschnittlich. Jedoch möchte ich betonen, dass die Mitarbeiterin sehr bemüht war. Für unseren Geschmack allerdings zu überangagiert

Alles Top. Das Essen war perfekt angerichtet und hat sehr gut geschmeckt. Der Service ist sehr freundlich und gut auf den Gast angepasst. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön, es gibt genügend Platz und die Atmosphäre ist sehr entspannt.

Wir waren zu viert dort und haben uns für das Menü für vier Personen entschieden. Wir haben es liebevoll die „griechische Rundreise“ genannt und genau so hat es sich auch angefühlt. Das Essen war alles andere als der typische 08/15-Grieche, den man an jeder Ecke findet. Im Gegenteil: Wir haben viele neue Gerichte und Geschmäcker kennengelernt und hatten das Gefühl, einen echten Einblick in die griechische Küche zu bekommen, statt nur die üblichen eingedeutschten Klassiker serviert zu bekommen. Das Team und der Chef waren unglaublich herzlich, aufmerksam, motiviert und dabei jederzeit professionell. Man merkt sofort, mit wie viel Leidenschaft hier gearbeitet wird. Dazu kommt ein wunderschönes Ambiente und eine hervorragende Qualität der Speisen. Auch das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis stimmt absolut. Für uns mit Abstand einer der besten Griechen, bei denen wir bisher essen waren. Wir kommen definitiv wieder! 😊

Absolut ungemutliches und heruntergekommenes Restaurant. Essen nicht gut, service quasi nicht vorhanden und sehr unangenehm zu sitzen. Tropfende Klimaanlage, muffiger Raum und insgesamt kein gemütliches Ambiente.

Defekte und tropfende Klimaanlage, flackernde Beleuchtung, Getränke per pampiger Selbstbedienung aus einem Kühlschrank, Essen verkocht und ungewürzt, arroganter und unfreundlicher Ober. Insgesamt eine ernüchternde Erfahrung.

Ein absolutes Highlight für alle, die authentische griechische Küche schätzen. Schon beim Empfang wurden wir mit einem fruchtigen, alkoholfreien Begrüßungsdrink und einem kleinen Gruß aus der Küche überrascht. Solche liebevollen Details machen für mich den Unterschied. Besonders begeistert hat mich, dass hier offensichtlich nicht einfach Standardware serviert wird. Der Bauernsalat war die originale griechische Variante – ohne den in Deutschland oft üblichen Blattsalat oder Kraut, dafür mit frischen Zutaten und viel Geschmack. Als Hauptgericht hatte ich das Bifteki. Die Schafskäsefüllung war wunderbar cremig und saftig – ganz anders als die oft trockenen Varianten, die man vielerorts bekommt. Dazu gab es hausgemachte Kartoffeln, außen schön knusprig, ohne fettig zu wirken. Die milden Zwiebeln und vor allem die Joghurtsoße mit Kümmel waren ein echtes Highlight. Zum Abschluss folgten auf Empfehlung des Hausherren Rawani und gebackenes Mastix. Beides war außergewöhnlich lecker und eine schöne Abwechslung zu den üblichen Desserts, die man sonst häufig angeboten bekommt. Auch der Service war aufmerksam, herzlich und äußerst zuvorkommend. Die Preise liegen vielleicht etwas über dem Durchschnitt, aber die Qualität, die Frische der Zutaten und die gesamte Erfahrung waren jeden einzelnen Cent wert. Für uns eine klare 11 von 10. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Dieser Ort ist außergewöhnlich, alle Gerichte auf der Speisekarte sind superlecker. Der Service ist tadellos. Alles in allem großartig.

Habe schon besser gegessen Waren mit 8 Personen hier , das Essen war kalt und würde sagen nicht frisch Für über 300 Euro hätte ich was besseres erwartet. Räume waren kalt man hat gefroren eine Person von uns hat sogar einen Teppich gebracht. Fazit einmal und nie wieder

Wir waren gestern als Paar dort, wir wurden sehr freundlich bedient und das Essen war wirklich super lecker, der Kartoffelbrei herausragend. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt, wir kommen sehr gern wieder und werden euch definitiv weiterempfehlen. Vielen Dank für den netten Abend.

Der Service, das Personal ist sehr freundlich, nett und zuvorkommend, da können sich andere Lokalitäten eine Scheibe abschneiden 6 ⭐️von 5 ganz großes Lob💪!! Das Ambiente erinnert ein bisschen nach einer Vesperstuben aus vergangenen Tagen, aber das ist Geschmackssache. Die verschiedenen Speisen/Gerichte, es werden frische Zutaten verwendet, ist für bäuerliche Gaumen wohl grandios, äußerst empfehlenswert, wobei das anrichten, der erste Blick auf den Teller, lässt einen mehr erwarten, als tatsächlich dann auf einen zu kommt. Entschuldigen Sie bitte, aber vielleicht sollte Ihr Koch/ ihre Köche doch noch mit etwas mehr ,,Liebe" bei der Zubereitung der Speisen/Gerichte vorgehen, denn wenn ich das liebe was ich tue, dann schmecken die Gäste das auch beim verzehren der Speisen. Pommes vielleicht 2 mal frittieren, dann nicht so lätschelig, weich, also mir/uns sind krosse knusprige Pommes lieber.

Leider nicht gut! Aufgrund einer Empfehlung gingen wir am 22.3.26 in „Das Mediterrane“. Außer uns war fast niemand da. Die Servicekraft war nett aber mit 2 Tischen bereits hoffnungslos überfordert. Bestellung und Service dauerten sehr lange, z.T. wurden nur einzelne Teller gebracht oder mitgenommen. Das Essen (Souvlaki, Altensteig-Platte für 2) war aber der größte Kritikpunkt. Fleisch war ungewürzt und totgegrillt bzw. schwarzgebraten. Beilagen waren auch nicht gut. Außerdem war die Fleischqualität mehr als zweifelhaft, teilweise fettig und gummiartig. Zusammengefasst: WEGBLEIBEN - nicht zu empfehlen!

Der richtige Grieche. Von außen nicht gleich zu erkennen. Waren schon kurz davor weiterzufahren da der Eingangsbereich so dunkel war und man das Restaurant nicht erkennt. Das ist aber auch die Einzige "Kritik". Der Service ist der absoluter Hammer. Sehr freundlich, zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Das Essen ist ebenfalls super. Portionen sind ausreichend groß. Nicht so viel wie sonst bei allen anderen Restaurants. Zeitlich kommt alles recht zügig. Weiß nicht ob es immer so ist. Wir waren das erste mal hier. Aber es gab einen leckeren Cocktail vorneweg und zum Schluss noch einen Gruß aus der Küche. Alles nichts großes, jedoch zeigt es einfach das der Gast wichtig ist. Wir kommen auf jedenfall wieder.

Ich war mit meiner Frau zu Ihrem Geburtstag da und kann nur sagen es war wirklich Top!!! Essen war von A bis Z super lecker. Egal ob Vorspeise, Hauptgericht oder Dessert. Es war der Hammer. Zudem sollte man erwähnen das das Personal zuvorkommend, sehr aufmerksam (aber nie aufdringlich) und total lieb war. Dies trifft auch auf den Chef zu. Super leckeres Essen! Charmanter service und wirklich authentische, griechische Küche!

Bedienungen waren wirklich nett und das Ambiente ist auch recht hübsch, aber leider haben die jeweiligen Hauptgänge unsere Erwartungen nicht erfüllt. Die Portionen waren für den Preis eher klein und geschmacklich hat es leider keinen von uns abgeholt. Vor allem das vegetarische Gericht konnte nicht überzeugen und war leider auch sehr lieblos angerichtet. Zudem war es in den Toiletten eiskalt und die Treppen waren schlecht beleuchtet. - Unterm Strich fanden wir das Preis Leistungsverhältnis leider nicht stimmig.

Top Adresse um lecker zu essen. Alle sind super freundlich und die Kinder fühlen sich auch immer sehr wohl und willkommen!

Sehr gutes, griechisches Essen, super freundliches Personal, Ambiente etwas seltsam, ehemaliges Schulungszentrum der Dekra, aber damit auch wieder witzig, der Gebäude komplex hat etwas charmant morbides an sich, die Umgebung ist nett, am Ortsrand gleich am Wald gelegen.

Vermutlich wurde hier schon das meiste gesagt: - Überragender Gastgeber (!!!) nicht umsonst gab es hierfür Auszeichnungen und Empfehlungen - Gruß aus der Küche zu Beginn, kleines "Extra" zum Abschied - Gute Speisen & Qualität gut (ganz klein wenig Flachs im Gyros) - Guter Service, top Beratung - "kleinere Portionen" von normalen Gerichten sind laut Chef leider nicht möglich - Ambiente wurde bereits mehrfach erwähnt. Aber dazu muss man auch sagen, dass es für diese Location schon recht gut gemacht ist. Man kann sicherlich nicht alles dort anpassen was man gerne wollte. Uns hat es, bis auf die Kleinigkeit mit den kleineren Portionen, generell sehr gut gefallen. Daher eine klare Empfehlung an dieser Stelle!

Die Begrüßung ist herzlich. Man wird sehr professionell bedient und beraten. Das Essen ist herausragend, mit kleinen Grüße aus der Küche wird man überrascht und das Hähnchen Souvlaki zergeht einem auf der Zunge. Würden jederzeit wiederkommen <3

Highly appreciated.... It would be good if you didn't add a specific spice to your potatoes, smoked paprika if I'm not mistaken. Not everyone likes the strong taste and unfortunately it took my mouth 5 days to recover, because it was irritated. And finally, I would like to add that the platter with the variety is not worth the money. Make sure, those of you who serve Greek cuisine abroad, that you don't alter the flavors, the image and project an outdated tourist profile.

Update after restaurant response: Not true! There were an awful lot of dried herbs on the salad and main course. Everything tasted like dried oregano. By the way, you can also see from the photos that they do use dried herbs. You obviously didn't use fresh sumac either; they use dried ones. I think it's cheeky to categorically rule this out! Your response below is actually the reason why we will definitely never come back (and the kitchen's professional deficiencies). Review: So: top-notch service! Food: They're aiming for the stars, but a bit lacking in expertise (lumps in the pudding, dried herbs everywhere - it's too much, and everything tastes the same, a shame for the great ingredients! Slightly larger plates would sometimes be advantageous, ...) ...

We went there for lunch at the weekend. We received a very friendly welcome. Since we had five children with us, we were a little nervous. But it was completely unnecessary. The service was really very friendly. We received a complimentary welcome from the kitchen and a small dessert. However, we were disappointed with the food. The portions were very small and, for that, very expensive. A starter platter for two people only included three small pieces of dry bread. We found that a bit lacking, especially for the price. The meat in the main course was also dry and lacked flavor.

We had takeout and dined in here once during our vacation. The takeout was a meal for two people. The quality was fine, but it was odd that there was only one skewer of each type of meat. I'm used to these kinds of dishes having two of each. But no problem, we shared it nicely. The vegetables included a lot of raw onions. I'm not used to that either, but maybe it's a German thing? We received very friendly service at the restaurant. We were given some appetizers to try, which was very nice! The food was served quickly. Again, there were lots of onions, and the meat was excellent. I absolutely loved the pita bread (is that what they're called?). The dog was welcome and even got a bowl of water. Because of our dog, we left quickly.

A truly culinary experience! Our lunch at this Mediterranean restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. I can highly recommend it. I went for lunch with my wife today. Such a friendly welcome, greeted and shown to the table by the waitress. You felt truly comfortable and welcome. Then the chef came and, in a wonderful way, not only explained the regular menu, but also presented some truly amazing daily specials on a blackboard. Truly superb. Despite a large group arriving at the same time as us, the food arrived promptly and hot, but above all, very, very good. It was one of the best meals I've ever eaten at a Greek restaurant. The chicken was divine, the fries truly delicious, and the yogurt dip simply fantastic. The wait was shortened by a welcome from the kitchen – delicious – and of course, you can't forget the welcome drink immediately upon arrival. So, it was a wonderful lunch and a wonderful time as a guest here. In my opinion, the prices were fair and reasonable for the visit, food, and drinks. If I had been able to tip using my debit card, I would have gladly done so. SIMPLY BRAVO. The ambiance is due to the age of the building and its previous use, hence the 3 stars (otherwise it would be 5). We felt very comfortable there – the best possible use has been made – with love – but any renovations – if they're even allowed to do so – are also worth considering. We'd love to come back here!

The surroundings aren't so nice. It looks like an old conference center, several terraced high-rises, an empty lobby and hallways. The restaurant has the charm of a slightly more well-kept sports bar. Sparse plants and decor. The outdoor area is framed by green hedges, with parasols. The service is extremely friendly and attentive. I was immediately offered a non-alcoholic, refreshing welcome drink and a welcome from the kitchen – mashed beans. The food was good and fresh. However, the gyro was too spicy for me, and when it comes to French fries, I expect crispy, deep-fried fries, not soft baked potatoes with the skin on. To compensate, there was a dessert on the house. I thought the cheese with Amarena cherries was super delicious – a cool mix, salty, savory, crunchy cheese and sugary, soft cherries. The food is served on plates that are too small, so there's no room to cut it, and things fall off. The restrooms are in the basement. The stairs down lead into a dimly lit hallway. The women's restrooms have three stalls. Modern and clean, but there are no windows or natural light—just a motion sensor at the entrance door.

I didn't think I would stumble upon such brilliant Greek food in the middle of the Black Forest, but here we are. The restaurant is quite unassuming from outside and inside. The staff is wonderful and welcoming. I found the service to be prompt but never rushed. The food was utterly delicious and fulfilling; the fish was fresh and subtle. The refresher at the start and the chocolate mouse at the end were equally delightful. I have been looking for a good Greek place around this area for a long tine now and finally found one.

This restaurant stands for GENUINENESS and authenticity. Many of the bad reviews sound to me as if they simply prefer the over-seasoned, cheaper Greek restaurants with flavor enhancers, and that's okay. I personally do without a lot of that stuff and can therefore taste very well that the flavors are natural. Yes, the portions are a bit smaller these days for the prices, but that's also because everything is getting more expensive, not just for private use but for restaurants too. On the other hand, I know where the ingredients come from at Mediterranean Restaurant and you can ask, they are all honest there. Others may serve larger portions, but most likely the quality is lower. This is a restaurant for enjoyment and not just to stuff your stomach. Then you can go straight for a snack. The building may not be the most inviting, but it's about what is done with the space. You can see that effort and care have been put into it, and even if it looks like a German restaurant, I think they have done the best they can. Otherwise, they'd have to renovate, and that would be asking too much as a tenant. I've been eating there for a long time, either in or to go, and I'm always satisfied. Sure, the fries are softer when I order takeaway, or the meat is sometimes a bit drier, or you have to wait a bit longer, but that's human and normal for it to happen. Of all the meals I've eaten there, it was still above average! The meat was usually beautifully tender, and the tzatziki wasn't as you'd expect, but rather like in Greece when I ate in Artas in a small restaurant where there were hardly any tourists (a local we knew showed it to us). You can simply taste the love, and it always makes me think of my vacation in Lefkada and Artas. Mistakes aren't ignored here, but rather solutions are sought! Was the meat too dry? No problem, go back and mention it. They'll improve! And I love this authenticity. Thank you ❤️

We were here for the first time yesterday (we're from Nagold, but saw the Google ad) and were completely impressed! The service was outstanding, super friendly, and professional. The intervals between courses were perfect—not too long, not too short. We had the tuna steak, the daily special, perfectly cooked and simply delicious. The value for money is also good, in our opinion. We will definitely recommend it.

The restaurant is somewhat unassuming from the outside, but pleasantly decorated inside. We started with a free aperitif, which we found to be a very pleasant way to start. The host couple is open, warm, and accommodating. There's something for everyone on the menu. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal. We'd be happy to come back. :)

Absolutely recommendable, ambience, well it's Baden-Württemberg, it's hard to create a Greek flair out of it (dark and woody), but the hosts and the chef - top notch, the liver is unique, keep it up!!!

Another small detail that emphasized the authenticity were the names of the dishes. It wasn't your typical "Zeus Plate, Apollo Plate," etc. The service was also very friendly, explained everything in detail, and took the time to be with you. The food was very good; the meat in particular was very tender, and it was prepared relatively quickly. At the end, you even got a free dessert and a discount for your next visit. We spontaneously went there for dinner and were absolutely thrilled! Great service, great food! We received a very warm welcome, and there were lots of little extras. To start with, a cold drink, which was delicious, then a little extra to try, ice cream for the kids, and finally, an ozono or a small pudding. We're absolutely thrilled, would recommend it anytime, and would go back anytime! :)

It was so incredibly delicious! We were served and cared for like royalty, it was so wonderful! We can only recommend it. Restrooms are spotlessly clean and new. The gentleman who serves us is simply brilliant. There are lots of little gifts and ice cream for the little ones. Many thanks to the staff and the kitchen.

We stayed at Das Mediterrane and were completely thrilled. Everything was incredibly fresh, homemade, and prepared with great attention to detail. The dishes change seasonally, which isn't just evident on the menu – the dishes were creatively balanced and delicious. Unlike many typical Greek restaurants, nothing was overpowering, heavy, or greasy, but rather delicate, balanced, and full of flavor. We were particularly impressed by the service: absolutely top-notch! The host, Georg, takes the time to explain each dish in detail, including the lovingly prepared accompaniment from the kitchen – you feel truly welcome and appreciated. It was a wonderful stay, and we'd love to come back :)

Food is amazing and service as well.

After our apartment was disappointing, we ended up at the neighbors for a bite and a drink. We didn't expect much but this Greek left us amazed! The food was fantastic, our waiter was all friendliness and explained every dish. We felt at home, highly recommended!

Good Greek restaurant, good service, and good food. It has an 80s feel, but the atmosphere is very well maintained. Not easy to find; there's a closed restaurant 10 meters from the entrance, which can be confusing. Parking is a bit confusing. As of June 2025

I really enjoy coming here. The food is excellent and very tasty. The food is homemade, like our Greek grandma's. The landlord and the service staff are friendly and helpful.

The service is first-class. You receive a very friendly welcome and are well looked after without feeling overwhelmed. The food was delicious and arrived relatively quickly. The restaurant's location isn't ideal, but once you find it, you'll be treated to the culinary delights of Greek cuisine. A true gem that's definitely worth a visit. We'd happily return.

Hmm, what can I say? If you're looking for a restaurant with excellent, top-quality food and even better service, this is the place for you. We would be here much more often if it weren't a 1.5-hour drive. Greek cuisine like you probably won't find anywhere else in this region. You feel at home right from the start. We'll be back. I can't share the enthusiasm of the other reviews at all, with one exception: the service was excellent. The ambiance, on the other hand, is abysmal. A former Black Forest parlor of the no longer existing Best Western Hotel with lost-place charm, with a complete lack of Greek ambiance. The terrace is littered with weeds and dilapidated furniture, overlooking the cushions and stacked children's chairs in the dining room, including the remaining winter decorations on the windows. The food, once calamari and once gyros: rather small portions and, above all, unfortunately neither well-grilled nor well-seasoned. I've had much tastier authentic Greek cuisine, to put it kindly. Sorry, but we were here once and that will definitely be the last time.

Nothing to complain about. Everything was delicious.
