Das Kriminal Dinner in Bremen

Crime Dinner May 3rd '24: The play was okay, the solution was predictable, service was ok, but the menu was bad, not enough to fill you up, the cheesecake for the bedside table was too salty!! Unfortunately no word of apology or a replacement such as coffee/1 scoop was offered. I had the impression that they wanted to make money with the bad food.

We were here on a Friday evening and saw the play "Sherlock Holmes and the Poisoned Eel Soup". Overall very predictable and so the resolution isn't a big surprise, but it's a nice evening with good food and nice entertainment. The two actors put in a lot of effort - unfortunately the lines weren't right or props and parts of the costume were forgotten. Was dismissed with a funny saying, but it destroys the mysterious, criminally charged atmosphere. The mood in the hall depends a lot on the spectators and their commitment. The food was great - only the "cheesecake" for dessert wasn't successful and was left behind - but my God, it can happen and, as we know, the organizer can only do so much for the kitchen.

We gave our parents the crime dinner for Christmas. The positive first: the tomato soup as a starter was nice and hot. The service crew worked incredibly hard and tried to save what couldn't be saved. The play was mediocre at best, the food (apart from the tomato soup) subpar. The rump steak was so hard that you couldn't cut it even though the knives were sharp. It was left on the plate by almost everyone (around 100 people). To compensate, the dessert was supposed to be “lavish” and consisted of a small scoop of ice cream, a dab of cream and half (!) a piece of pot cake. We have rarely experienced such a disaster. By the way, I try to write positive reviews to emphasize the good. That is not possible here.
