The day before yesterday I bought a surprise bag from Damla Baklava in Düsseldorf via Too Good To Go. To my horror, I discovered that some of the products included had already expired for over a week. There was also a baked item that looked as if it had been made from leftover food. It is absolutely unacceptable to sell expired and obviously substandard food and I am very disappointed with this experience. This is an outrage and should be urgently checked. I hope that in the future more attention will be paid to the quality and freshness of the goods on offer.

Unfortunately, they open and close when you want & not according to the stated opening times.

Unfortunately everything was bad here. The lady's service was more than unfriendly, unsympathetic and unprofessional. The young man was fine; at least he tried. The food didn't come as expected. I was told I had to order the yogurt sauce specifically with garlic. However, I was not told this when ordering. I was looking forward to the original Mantı and something came that tasted like nothing. Unfortunately it was very bad. There was no effort to improve it and the furniture was very cheap. In addition, the employees were not professional. THE FIRST AND LAST TIME!

Ordered Oreo milkshake, unfortunately got cheaper cocoa milk with cream 👎, espresso tasted bitter and sour, otherwise I thought the cake counter was fine.

Ambience: Looks high quality but seat cushions are dirty and worn out. You sit in a hollow. Service: The service was attentive. Food: Breakfast: Simit were baked too dark, which meant the sesame on top tasted unpleasantly bitter. Menemen, apparently prepared in bitter olive oil, had a deep bitter note when eaten. Not tasty! Aluminum dishes pan for menemen is harmful to health. There was a small saucer of fries, the plate was half empty. Wouldn't it be better to serve fries with it? Selection of side dishes in small bowls: By far the most inedible olives I've ever gotten my hands on. Green olives appear to be from a large container. Old olive oil tastes rancid. Oversalting black olives also makes them taste rancid. 3 slices of sucuk and 2 mini sosis ala Yayla quality. Tomato paste from the village with large pieces of walnuts. It's probably supposed to be a spread, but it was more like raw salca without spices and old walnuts. Inedible. Jam like from the Sera strawberry jam jar. Honey with mascarpone.. Well that was fine.. The baked rolls were also ok. The Mercimek/lentil soup was too strongly seasoned and deviates from the green standard. For parents with small children, the soup is not a breakfast alternative because it is simply too strong and spicy. The tea: I recommend a limescale filter or no water from the tap. The tea is not crystal clear due to the lime deer blood as the Turks say and becomes bitter. Foam formation in the edge of the glass is also a no go in Turkish tea. Staff: On a Sunday, only two employees in service and one person in the kitchen when the shop is full is already underground. Unreasonable waiting times and a flying service where you constantly have to look for forgotten things. Poor employees! Damla stands for the label of good quality. At the moment it stands for high prices! Management should read this carefully. You were better before the renovation! The two stars were benevolent for the performance of the staff and only for the young man with long hair who really did a TOP job. For the quality of the breakfast selection it is only 1 star.

We went to have something sweet with family last night. Even though we each ordered separate baklava and milk dessert orders, they were all stale, and as if that wasn't enough, we bought a package of eclair dessert, unfortunately it was even stale to eat at home. 👎It is not suitable for health, especially for milk desserts! ❌ I will never go 🙅‍♀️ from now on! Pretty store. The baklava wasn't worth the hype. Very mediocre, nothing special. Employees were friendly though, and the air-conditioning was pretty strong.

4 years ago, it was a place that I found very decent and delicious and I gave it 5 stars. Last month, I went again on a Saturday afternoon and I couldn't even finish the cold baklava and pistachio wrap I ordered because it was stale. And the prices are exorbitant: 2 slices of pistachio wrap cost 8.5€.

I just bought cakes and kurabiye (Turkish cookies) locally. Unfortunately they weren't fresh. I'm sitting on the train and have only now tried the kurabiyes. Very, very dry and a real waste of money! I was blinded by the counter. If I wasn't on the way home, I would have complained. Unfortunately I live outside Düsseldorf... It was my first time having a Turkish breakfast. The food was so so delicious. I’m obsessed with their version of pretzel. The other bread was also very nice to have with the food. The scrambled eggs were buttery and the sausage was full of flavor! I really enjoyed how many different things we have. We shared one portion and it was enough for us, so I’d say it’s the perfect way to start your day and it’s not expensive either!

I recently visited Damala and was unfortunately very disappointed. The restaurant described great dishes on the menu that sounded promising, but the reality was not at all what was expected. The value for money is absolutely inadequate and I felt like I wasted my money. The service also left a lot to be desired. I bought 4 kg of baklava yesterday. Although it was written on the internet that there was free home delivery within Germany, the man at the cash desk said that it could not be done.... Although the Baklava I bought had pistachios on it, he did not sprinkle pistachios on it as a decoration while packaging it. Also his behavior was bad as if it was given for free even though there was no discount.

Trileçe €7. Portion is small for the price. I don't think the price is justified, especially since I've had a larger piece somewhere else that tasted twice as good for less money. The store is very attractive and chic. Staff very young and very friendly.

I've never eaten something so disgusting, it's a real shame. They look great but taste really disgusting. I love baking and I've always asked myself how can you make such a disgusting cream? Are you trying it too? Anyone who buys from you once will never come back!!! You are as far from premium as a donkey is from a lion. Afterwards it ended up in the trash like in the photos!

The food was really something special. We didn't wait long and got it. The problem is that not only was the portion ridiculously small, but in terms of quality it was the worst Turkish food I've ever eaten. Concentrate on the bedside table, because you can happily do without your ready-made meal.

We took Baklava and coffee here. The taste was so delicious and somehow Unique. The location was so good and easy to reach, clean and modern. Staff was so friendly and helpful. Payment with card and cash was possible.

Prices were expensive. Foods were ok however I didn't like to atmospher.it was very crowded.

I bought the best baklava, it also had soy, brother from Antep, I am not new to this baklava, the staff at the cash register was in chaos, they cut my tooth and threw it in the trash, I asked for a new one, there is an old man there, he is very confident, he is more German than Turkish.

We went there for Iftar and it was such a measly portion... that's really embarrassing. Were there for a total of 15 minutes, ate and left straight away. Definitely not suitable for Iftar. There was also 1 date per person. Nothing was put on the table and the tables were so squashed together that you couldn't even have private conversations because other guests were sitting right next to them.. disappointing experience

Following a complaint, the dishes were re-prepared. We enjoyed coming here with friends, but the quality is deteriorating and resembles cheap frozen food. The horrendous prices are also unacceptable. The service also leaves a lot to be desired due to the many waiters who serve in a disorganized manner.

The Baklavas I bought 2 days ago were candied the next day. Also, they sell our desserts as fresh daily. It is very sad how you can lie and sell them on this blessed day. It's a shame that 1.5 kilos of Baklava will go to waste. It's not like it used to be; if your baklavas remained for 1 week, they wouldn't turn into confectionery. I will definitely never buy Dessert from Damla again.

Even though we love the shop owners very much, I can't say anything about the waiters, it's a disgrace. We waited for 20 minutes for the waiter to come and take the order. He passes by and I ask him if he can take the order. My friend says he will come. It is not possible to have such an unprofessional waiter in such a beautiful place.

Service takes a long time and isn't really polite. When we order we are served tea without sugar and without a spoon. The reason is that they no longer have any. Then they suddenly had some. Tea was very light above average. Not all baklavas were available. Reorders take a long time.

Because I personally had negative experiences twice, I would now like to publish my review. The first time for 4-E we counted on what we didn't eat, I only noticed it at home when checking the receipt, then I thought okay, there was a mistake and I didn't go after 4-E. The second time happened on March 1st, 2024 at 7:25 p.m. This time it was calculated 2 times Turkish mocha from 3-E in total 6-E. I tried to reach through the phone number and ask, unfortunately the number doesn't belong to Damla but a private number. Incorrect phone number is on Kassenbonn. So I'm not behind 6-E but I'm starting to feel like I've been ripped off. Anyway, I'm happy to leave a 2-E tip every time. But something like that is not acceptable to me. I recommend that all guests ask for and check their receipt after paying. If my report is read, please feel free to contact me.

Künefe & Çay were fresh, service was OK, nice location, where unfortunately the same song was playing the whole time - otherwise the atmosphere would definitely be even nicer.

We ate something there for the first time today. The order was taken very late and the table was only cleaned after I asked. In the end I paid at the checkout. For the first time I didn't look at a receipt and was immediately ripped off. I paid more than €50 for two dishes, two soft drinks and a künefe. It was only in the car that I realized that it was way too overpriced. I did the math at home and I actually paid €10 more. Sad and pure disappointment! Been there for the first and last time. My tip is always to look at the receipt!!!

From the outside it looks very modern and chic. We ordered rice pudding and profiterol, service was ok and the order was served quickly. Rice pudding was not edible, at least 2 days old and had a strange taste. There was a hair hidden in my profiterol, I called the waitress and the answer was: Yes, that can happen, the food is delivered ready and not prepared here. Sorry, but I'm not interested in where anything is prepared, at least an apology or something similar would be appropriate, nothing!! Instead, just the statement is not prepared here. Somehow almost cheeky. Well, mine was replaced but of course I couldn't enjoy it anymore. The waitress said the rice she had tried was still good :) just ridiculous I would definitely not recommend Damla Düsseldorf.

The staff was very friendly and accommodating. We ordered desserts here. The Turkish coffee is served very nicely with a piece of chocolate and tastes good. The desserts, Soguk Baklava, Havuc Dilim, Fistikli Baklava, were not at the usual level of sweetness. A little more sugar should have been added. So definitely something for diabetics :) Unfortunately there is no Kaymak, I would like to suggest that. The ambience is nice and modern, but acoustic panels would be beneficial. In terms of design, influencers would be very happy here :) The cookies and biscuits I took with me in the evening were fresh and good.

I stopped by when I came to Germany last year, and this year I came back because it was a Turkish and halal business. 1. The dessert I bought was not tared, so the registration price of the package is around 30 on average. If you don't get the hang of it, the customer will feel like they have been deceived. For example, when you buy a packaged or bottled product from the market, the weight of the package is not shown as the product weight. If you are doing this knowingly, this is a serious PERSON'S RIGHT. You will have to say goodbye to thousands of your customers one by one... 2- Price policy Although you are a business that appeals to the middle and upper economic level, the paper towels you use downstairs are of poorer quality than I have ever seen anywhere before and create the image that you are using poor quality materials for your business. You have a masjid, but you don't have a place for ablution. People take ablution from normal sinks and everywhere gets wet. It is disturbing for your other customers in the ablution area. I went and checked that there is a suitable area for ablution in the mosque. 3- When it arrived last week, I told them about the breakfast and was told that although bagels were on the menu, they were out of stock and this was not informed when ordering. Then I ordered soup, but this time the bread did not arrive. Unfortunately, we ran out of bread. My friends said they would bring it soon. Towards the end of the soup, someone with bread in their hands brought the bread to the business and they tried to serve the customers quickly. This out of bread incident happens around 13:00. The connection between the restaurant and the bread left is interesting. 4- There are serious deficiencies in the number of employees. They have to run and work in sweat. We inevitably get disturbed when we see people trying to get more work done than the average workload. Thank God, as far as I can see, you have regular customers. Please create an environment where your employees can work in a more humane manner. It is a business that can be visited despite everything, but if these deficiencies are corrected, better customer satisfaction can be achieved. Bad service. We pointed out that we had a nut allergy, but we still received what we ordered with nuts. No insight and no accommodation from the staff.

My girlfriend had a nut allergy and we specially ordered everything without nuts. We even mentioned the allergy. However, there were nuts in there and my girlfriend had an allergic reaction!!! We had to wait half an hour for the waitress to explain the matter. There was no help here!!! Not recommendable!!!!

Music too loud, room too warm, bring food before drinks and never smile during service except when paying. Otherwise good opening times and chic furnishings. Drinks taste ok, cakes etc often look completely different than what you ordered and only taste ok. Definitely too expensive, but there are hardly any alternatives at night. You can do it, you don't have to.
