Damla is a popular Turkish restaurant that is best known for its authentic desserts. There is a large selection of baklava, künefe, trileçe and other traditional delicacies. But those who like it hearty will also find what they are looking for - e.g. B. with fries or other small snacks. We particularly recommend the Trileçe, which is wonderfully light, juicy and not too sweet – my personal favorite. Another highlight is the Künefe, which can be served with ice cream if desired. It is crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and harmonizes perfectly with the sweetness of the syrup. In addition to the sweets, there is a large selection of baklava and Turkish pastries that you can also buy to take away. The menu can only be accessed digitally via a QR code. Since the restaurant is full - especially during Ramadan - it can get very loud. The service is attentive and friendly, but sometimes seems a bit lackluster, which somewhat spoils the overall impression. In terms of price, everything is perfectly fine, especially considering the homemade quality. Conclusion: A great restaurant for everyone who loves Turkish desserts! The Trileçe and Künefe are particularly worthwhile. Despite small weaknesses in the service, I would happily come back.

It was always a place where we loved to buy desserts, but unfortunately, the peanuts in the desserts we bought recently, I no longer know if they are real peanuts. If it is real peanuts, why does it have no taste or smell? I don't know what powder is used as peanuts? I was looking forward to a delicious Turkish breakfast. It was pure disappointment. The frozen baked rolls were still as light as if they had been fresh out of the package. The soft cheese was stale and had a yellowish edge. The edges of the plates were all broken. Almost everything that was in the small bowls looked as if it had previously been on someone else's table (this is not an insinuation, it just looked very unappetizing). However, the waitress was very friendly and took good care of the guests. I dedicate one star to her.

When we asked, we were told that the table was too big for us. Even after being told that we were freezing, the situation didn't change. This “big tables must be full” mentality can certainly serve the capitalist system well. But viewed from the perspective of human values, this is extremely questionable. No company is irreplaceable, especially not with such a customer policy. Of course, we decided not to wait any longer and instead visit the nearby pastry shop “Doncake”. We hope that you(DAMLA BAKLAVA) will reconsider and improve your customer policy.

When we ordered, we expected whole-cooked manti, but unfortunately what we were served was dough clusters consisting of dozens of manti grains stuck together. When we reported this to the waiters and then to the manager, the answer we received was that this was "normal" (as if we had never eaten manti before) and that it was in this situation because the manti were taken out of the freezer. The service was friendly and after the renovation everything looks very good and attractive. For €16, I had high expectations, especially because the products were so attractively presented in the window. When I got home, I noticed that the chocolate looked different than in the store - the shape and decoration did not correspond to what was on display. It was much thinner. Unfortunately, the taste was also disappointing: there were hard pieces of pistachio shell in it, which made it unpleasant to eat, and overall the quality was not convincing. My conclusion: A clear recommendation for baklava, but NAJ for other products.

You can offer that if you want people to take away, but the people who sit there and eat should be something reasonable. In addition to the Turkish mocha, I actually thought everything was fine. Unfortunately, what I didn't like was that a Turkish mocha always comes with either a Turkish dessert or a cookie. If you pay so much for a coffee, I think a small chocolate bar or a cookie or a Turkish dessert isn't a big cost issue.
