Ausgezeichnetes Essen. Frisch zubereitet. Das Fleisch ist authentisch, die Kartoffeln sind groß und lecker, der Salat ebenfalls. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Das Lokal ist sauber, das Essen frisch.

Wir waren letzte Woche auf Empfehlung noch fix einen Döner holen, wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Leider aber war der Döner die Anfahrt nicht wert. Das Fleisch war teilweise echt knorpelig, der Salat war einfachster Eisbergsalat, die yoghurt Soße war leider auch eher „neutral“ im Geschmack. Bleibt eurer Gastfreundlichkeit treu aber überarbeitet bitte nochmal euren Döner.

Wir waren heute bei DAMAS Imbiss essen und sind wirklich begeistert. Schon beim Reinkommen wurden wir vom Inhaber und seiner Familie unglaublich freundlich und herzlich empfangen man fühlt sich direkt willkommen. Genau so muss Gastronomie sein. Der Laden selbst ist super sauber und top organisiert. Die Auswahl an Gerichten ist vielfältig und macht richtig Lust, sich durchzuprobieren. Wir hatten den Shawarma-Teller und ehrlich: einfach überragend. Geschmacklich wirklich auf den Punkt, frisch zubereitet und mehr als ausreichend portioniert. Preis-Leistung ist absolut stark. Für das, was man bekommt, kann man wirklich nichts sagen. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich nochmal die Gastfreundschaft selten erlebt man so zuvorkommende und liebevolle Gastgeber, die sich wirklich um ihre Gäste kümmern. Von uns ganz klar: 5 von 5 Sternen. Absolute Empfehlung schaut vorbei und gebt dem Laden eine Chance. Es lohnt sich zu 100 %.

Herr Abu Adel, mit seiner fröhlichen Art und seinem stets präsenten Lächeln, und seine Frau bringen eine so wunderbare Energie in den Raum, besonders wenn er fragt: „Möchten Sie einen Tee?“ ☕️ (Und natürlich kann man da einfach nicht Nein sagen! 😄) Und die Köchin, Gott segne sie, ihre Hände sind wie Seide, wie man so schön sagt. 👌 Und ihr Lächeln verschwindet nie aus ihrem Gesicht. Ich fühlte mich wirklich wie bei meiner Mutter zu Hause … nur dass mir niemand sagte: „Iss noch etwas, du bist noch nicht satt!“ 😂❤️ Ich werde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen und es jedem in Regensburg empfehlen.

Ein wirklich wundervolles Restaurant. Das Essen war köstlich und der Service exzellent. Ich habe mich dank des herzlichen Empfangs und der Gastfreundschaft sofort wie zu Hause gefühlt. Alles war perfekt. Das Essen war fantastisch, und die Tasse Tee erinnerte mich an meine Zeit in Syrien. Es ist schon so lange her, dass ich so guten Tee getrunken oder so hochwertiges Essen genossen habe. Ich kann es wärmstens empfehlen und werde ganz sicher wiederkommen.

Worst kebab in town. I ordered a vegetarian kebab, and you have to pay an extra €1 for the cheese, because otherwise it would just be vegetables. The kebab was tiny, and there was very little cheese. The woman at the till was incredibly unfriendly and looked like a psychopath—very unpleasant. Go somewhere else where the kebab is actually filling, because this one definitely isn't.

There's takeout or a small area for dine-in. The Falafel Dürüm are amazing 🤤

The falafel doner (vegan with hummus) and doner kebab were delicious! Everything was prepared quickly, and I could choose between the Syrian and classic versions.

I'm very disappointed with Damas Döner. I didn't get my Sucuk Döner at all, even though I mentioned it three times. Instead, I got the wrong food. The Dürum I finally got was already cold because it took far too long to prepare the order. The problem is that the employees take ten orders at once but don't write them down—no wonder such mistakes happen. In my opinion, that's very poor service; that's not how you treat customers.

I'm a huge doner kebab and shawarma fan, and I have to say: This place is definitely one of my top three in all of Bavaria! Highly recommended. The atmosphere is very informal, and the owners, who work behind the counter themselves, are incredibly friendly and accommodating. Simply fantastic!

A good friend from my club and I were talking about the best kebab in Regensburg. He said he'd read that according to Falstaff (which I believe usually reviews upscale restaurants), it's the best kebab shop in Regensburg, or rather, Bavaria, and that he hadn't tried it yet. As a local resident and kebab shop owner, I naturally followed up on this. First of all: Yes, it's good and it tastes good. The ingredients also taste really fresh. But for me, it's not the best kebab, or rather, I think Falstaff's rating is completely overrated. I just had to point that out. But I don't mean to disparage DAMAS by any means. Quite the opposite. The owners are very friendly, and the service is good, too. Above all, I finally have a kebab shop "around the corner" where I can get a kebab once a week without having to drive any further.

I've tried a variety of dishes, and I've been happy with every single one so far. Customer service is a top priority here.

Truly the best durum and shawarma in town. The vegetarian version with falafel is also fantastic. To pass the time, they often offer fries for snacking 😃

I can't understand all the reviews. The shawarma tastes so-so, the roll is very dry, the meat isn't crispy. The toum dip just tastes like yogurt. Last time, I still had bits of meat cartilage in my dürüm and stalks from the salad! At a high price of €9, they should be ashamed of serving something like that to customers!

First of all, the family who run it is always friendly and sweet. They offer small fries and a free cup of tea, so it's really great. BUT the kebab is good, but there are better ones in Regensburg. The main reason for only two stars is that on my last two visits, I had to leave without eating. Both times, there was too little meat, even though the store's opening hours were still a long way off. Once, they had too many orders, and today, two hours before closing time, they only had enough meat for one kebab, but not for two. I've driven there twice, and left twice without eating. That won't happen a third time 😔

Unfortunately, we can't understand the positive reviews at all, and we certainly don't understand why this snack bar is supposed to have the best doner kebab in Regensburg or Bavaria. The dürüm costs €9, the meat has a very neutral flavor and is rather standard, as there's so little meat in it (see photo). It's more like an iceberg lettuce dürüm. This product doesn't offer value for money at all. Doner kebab plate: The vegetables were fresh, the meat was okay, the fries were a bit soggy and tasted rather "old," and there was no bread. This, too, was completely unaffordable. Other comparable restaurants in Regensburg offer much better value for money and also taste significantly better.

Caution: It's addictive! I was just looking for a quick snack – and instead, I landed in kebab heaven! 😍 The Dürüm? So good that I briefly considered changing my last name to "Dürümlü." And the shawarma? Juicy, spicy, perfect – as if an angel had personally cut it from a spit. The people there are so warm and hospitable that you feel more like you're being invited to a friend's house than to a snack bar. Bottom line: If you've been to Regensburg and haven't eaten here, you've never truly experienced kebab. The best kebab in town – period, exclamation mark, final boss!

In my opinion, the best falafel kebab in town ❤️ I've been going here for a long time and I'm always impressed. The owners and staff are all super friendly, and you always feel very comfortable. The service is excellent, and the whole shop is simply cozy and inviting. It's often a bit busier, but that just shows how good the shop is and how many people enjoy visiting it. I only go here because I'm never disappointed and the food always tastes great 🫶🏻

Very juicy shawarma, a Syrian falafel durum that's unique in Regensburg. Very friendly service, everything is always clean, professional, and fresh. The only thing they could wish for would be a larger space with more chairs and tables so that even more people can enjoy this food.

There was no normal court – it was art, the service was excellent, and that's still a delicious treat. The dishes exude taste and elegance in their presentation. We will definitely be back, God willing, if we ever visit Regensburg.

I've been to Damas several times and have always tried the shawarma there - and I have to say, it's the best I've had so far! The preparation is excellent, the meat is juicy and flavorful, and there is an incredibly delicious garlic sauce that you can dip the shawarma into wonderfully. The staff is always extremely friendly, and as a nice gesture there is always a Çay on the house at the end. A small drawback is the price - the shawarma is a little more expensive than in other restaurants. The quality is really excellent. There is indoor seating, but not too much. In summer, tables are also available outside. The parking situation can be a bit difficult, but if you are lucky you will find a free space on the side streets and can park on the street for a short time for a fee. Overall, Damas is highly recommended – go there yourself and try the shawarma, you won’t regret it!

Caution! ...The vegetarian "doner" unfortunately only comes with salad and other ingredients, and no soy or substitute "meat" as you might think. I was surprised when I unwrapped and ate it. It tasted good, though. Perhaps you could add that as a note or point it out again when ordering.

This doner kebab is okay, but it doesn't deserve 4.9 stars by any stretch. It's not particularly large, the bread was soggy, and the vegetables didn't taste fresh. The chicken is okay, but there's no veal, which is what you'd expect from such a highly rated doner kebab. I'm giving the doner kebab one star to help ensure that the ratings for Regensburg doner kebabs generally reflect its quality.
