Dalma & August in München

We went for a family lunch on a Sunday, really nice atmosphere, tasty dishes, great deserts and fresh Augustiner beer on tap. Ordered Münchner Schnitzel, Wiener Schnitzel, Cevapcici, Baby Calamari with Spinach Potatoes, and then Kaiserschmarrn and Apfelkücherl...so, a nice combination of Bavarian and Croatian dishes. We were extremely satisfied. Fair prices. Attentive service and super friendly host with excellent English. Overall highly recommended!

It would normally be 5 stars, but sorry, the room temperature was far too cold again, creating no comfortable atmosphere, especially now in winter.

Large, clean restaurant, typical Augustiner style (not a bad thing), we liked it, very friendly staff, waited 30 minutes for the food (perfectly fine) and the wait was worth it, large portions of delicious, great food: young bull's liver and beef sirloin stuffed with feta cheese, both with Djuves rice - both a delight. Looking forward to seeing you again soon :-)

A real asset to Laim and the otherwise rather limited culinary options. The food, service, and ambiance are definitely top-notch. In the summer, you can sit outside. I go there regularly with the children. We all enjoy the blend of Croatian and Bavarian cuisine.

My meal: Calamari with potatoes and spinach The potatoes and spinach were extremely oversalted. I reported this, but unfortunately, no apology came, and I had to pay the full price (€22! A small discount would have been nice). It was my first and last time there.

We booked the Dalma & August for a larger celebration. Even the initial consultation was pleasant, seamless, and charming. All our special requests were accommodated. The restaurant and terrace were perfect for our needs, the service friendly and accommodating, the food delicious and a cool mix of Mediterranean, Croatian, and Bavarian, so there was something for everyone. And the prices were totally fair for Munich! Thanks to the entire team, we'd love to come back.

Dear readers, I went to dinner at Dalma and August on June 13, 2025, to celebrate my 55th birthday. I sat in the garden, and the dinner was very good. The garden in front of the restaurant is very beautiful and very cozy. The atmosphere is very pleasant. A very nice restaurant. Best, Tobias

They offer non-alcoholic Augustiner. That alone is worth mentioning. I was there for the first time yesterday and wasn't disappointed by the starter (semolina dumpling soup), main course (Planina Mix), or dessert (Kaiserschmarrn). The value for money was really good. I'll be back.

The food is delicious and the staff friendly. What surprised me a little was that I found a piece of plastic packaging in my food and mentioned it. Aside from an OK, no apology was expressed for the mistake. That irritated me.

We went there for dinner with friends. I had cevapcici with djuvec rice, ajvar, and grilled onions. The food didn't elicit "super delicious" or anything like that. The meat was a bit underseasoned for my taste. The djuvec rice was very good. The ajvar was good, and the onions were okay. Overall, the food was okay. I think we'll visit the restaurant again and try something different. The ambiance is very nice at first glance. However, it was very noisy. The restaurant was busy, and the noise level was accordingly loud. It would be better to have some smoke-dampening elements, like curtains or something similar.

We had dinner here again this evening and, as always when we are there, it was very tasty and we would love to come back 😁

You sit well and eat excellently. The food comes quickly and to everyone at the table at the same time. The facility is well maintained and clean. What more could you want?

There is none. Any. The atmosphere has no music or any entertainment, just food and bye, the food is not bad

I've been there several times, but it's getting worse and worse. The service was overwhelmed when my companion asked for a glass of water with lemon. The portions are getting smaller and smaller. A small portion of spaghetti and two mini schnitzels for 16 euros is outrageous, especially considering salads cost about the same. I won't be back.

Delicious food in a cozy restaurant!

Where these good reviews come from is a complete mystery to us. Four different meals and none of them good. The rice was mushy and completely unseasoned. Pork fillet with cream mushrooms, shone with exactly 3 mushrooms and completely burnt fried onions that resembled "rubber bands". One could only smile about roasted potatoes. The real hit was the square steamed dumplings, which you couldn't cut even with cutlery, delicious from the microwave and inedible. Nobody cared that the plates were returned half full! Never again!

I've ordered cevape and have never received such a meager order anywhere, 8 mini cevape with a bit of rice on the side for €17 unbelievable!! Never again!! Also canned rice. Disgraceful for so much money

I had dinner here for the second time today with my wife. The food was excellent (wild boar goulash and schnitzel) and came very quickly. The waiter was very friendly and accommodating. The interior design is rather simple, but very comfortable.

I LOVE their Kaiserschmarrn!!!! It's just AMAZING!! Stuff is always friendly and the restaurant seems to be popular among the locals as it's full almost everyday, which is a good sign. Very good Bavarian-Croatian restaurant. The price-performance ratio is right here. The restaurant used to be in Westpark (Nestroygarten). Unfortunately there was a fire and the operator has since moved to Laim. Here too, the location is beautiful and not far from the hustle and bustle of Laimer Platz you will find this Bavaro-Croatian oasis. The food is very good, cheese spaetzle is cheap, tasty and the portion size is definitely sufficient. Pancakes are also a clear recommendation as a dessert. Service is friendly and the interior invites you to linger. Eating out is fun.

It's very strange when you read here how good and cheap the food is supposed to be. I ate Pola & Pola (half and half) and it was more like a children's plate in terms of quantity. Far too expensive for the price. I don't go there anymore. Service and ambience okay. That's it. Repetition: Too expensive and not enough for the money.

I can't praise enough the good environment, food and service. A welcoming place, definitely great atmosphere and very tasty food. I got to the place when was only opening in a Sunday afternoon and even so, was sooooo good to see how families and locals would come to this great spot. The portion was more than enough for me and again, very tasty!

Great restaurant with excellent food and very nice and courteous service. Bavarian and Croatian cuisine. We celebrated our father's birthday there and were very satisfied. The table was beautifully set, everything was perfect. Any time again, highly recommended.

I was here with a small group of five people on a Friday evening. The store was relatively full, but there were apparently only two of the staff. Therefore, it occasionally took a while for the friendly waitress to come to us to take the orders. My meal (pork medallions) was okay, but not really good. But apparently I was unlucky with the choice because the other people at the table, who all ate something different than me, liked it. In this respect, I will definitely come again to see what else the kitchen has to offer. The shop is quite nice for a social evening.

Stopped by for dinner on a whim and quickly got a table (even though the restaurant was busy). Fast, attentive and pleasantly calm service. The menu includes Bavarian and Croatian dishes - we had asparagus and pola pola (Raznjici skewer and cevapcici) - both top - and a Kaiserschmarrn (ok, probably a convenience product). we will be back :)

Were there for the first time, just to try it out. The taste was very good and clearly exceeded our expectations. Very nice service. We are very satisfied, it is centrally located in Laim, on the corner of the subway and with parking, but unfortunately for us it is located to the right of the way. Conclusion: A visit is definitely worth it and we will definitely be there again. Overall great!

the place has a beautiful indoor and outdoor garden terrace, both dogs are allowed, the staff is friendly and the kitchen really goes out of its way to prepare delicious meals. I always want to come back.

The food was very well prepared and good value for money. The service can only be praised because despite the lack of staff and this is due to the general shortage of skilled workers in many areas, not just gastronomy, the service was friendly and the boss himself actively supported his service. Big praise to everyone for this. The ambience is rustic, regionally typical. An outdoor area invites you to enjoy the fresh air when the weather is nice. Can also be reached by subway 5 to Laimer Platz or by bus. Please ask for the bus as we came by car. I wish the operator all the best, always satisfied, good guests and always enough good staff to relieve their own burden and for a long future.

In contrast to the previous owner, a good selection of dishes at fair prices, quality is good average, a lot of it is probably freshly prepared, very nice and fast service.

Very good food and great service, as usual. As soon as the restaurant gets a little more crowded, the noise level can become exhausting. But that shouldn't stop you from indulging yourself, especially with the constantly changing weekly menu.
