Daheim in Berlin

Although we live in the area, this was our first time at this restaurant, tempted by the fact that it's always crowded. Now we at least know why—we ordered black pudding and goulash with Thuringian dumplings, and they were truly delicious dishes prepared with high-quality ingredients. The service was also very friendly and treated our children wonderfully—lollipops, drinks, and other cutlery were included! The atmosphere was lovely. We'll gladly return!

In the meantime, my home has become my local hangout. All colleagues are super nice and attentive. The ambience is calm between stampe and country house. But of course I come for the kitchen! At the appropriate time there is excellent asparagus; cooked al dente! The Wiener Schnitzel here is better than the Wiener Schnitzel in some places, the beers and the selection of distilled drinks are also excellent.

Today we ate here again and it was really great. Basti is really a great waitress, very fond of children, always has a cool saying on his lips, that's how we like it. It's a quaint German place. Yes, first of all, my first visit there, the service was good the entire time, nothing to complain about, the roulade I ordered, say ok, I've eaten better ones. My companion got a farmer's breakfast, an incredibly great dish, both visually and according to the test, it tasted great and I definitely want to eat there again. Conclusion I would definitely recommend it. Today again farmer's breakfast top Morzs portion super worth every €.

We were there for the first time. Good home-style food, the portions are sufficient and tasty. Operation and service very good. We were there two more times. It's a shame that our vacation only lasted four days took a while, otherwise we would have gone there more often.

We had lunch at home and were very satisfied!! Great service, rustic atmosphere with nicely set tables and a fireplace. The food, we had goulash and roulade, was super delicious!!! The red cabbage and dumplings couldn't have been made any better. Unfortunately we couldn't have any more dessert because we were too full. But definitely next time. :)

We are always very satisfied.....we are already regular guests. My mother-in-law is in a nursing home nearby. That's why we always enjoy coming home here.

We've actually been to "home" a few times. However, today will be the last time. My grandma is in a wheelchair, but since there are stairs to get into the restaurant, I went in to tell the service staff (I almost don't want to describe it as such, as it had very little to do with service today ). The answer followed promptly: "The ramp is out there, I can't help you!" Okay, all clear. Thanks for nothing. The food was good. But our tip was correspondingly lower in the first situation, which meant that the service person didn't even say thank you and just managed to wish us a nice first Advent. I have been working in the service sector for years and find it more than unprofessional to treat guests like this. Too bad.

We have been coming here regularly for Advent dinners for years. The food is always very good, including this year. But the service has become so bad. Starting with creating the ramp for the wheelchair - service or even help - none. Therefore not recommended for wheelchair users!!! Obviously higher amounts of tips are expected here. Below 10.00 the friendliness suddenly drops.

Unfortunately I'm going home with mixed feelings because the food and beer were wonderful. The waitress was also very service-oriented and accommodating. What only casts a shadow over the entire visit to the restaurant is that there were misunderstandings when the food was served, which unfortunately does happen from time to time, and as a guest I was treated in an extremely unprofessional and rude manner by the male waiter. Dear Mr. Minge, before I wrote this review, I went through all the other reviews. Unfortunately, I have often read that customers are overlooked or treated rudely at the table. These are mistakes that can happen. Everyone has a bad day sometimes. But if a waiter is not respectful and service-oriented, he is damaging you and the restaurant's image. Courageous with the challenges of catering today. Unfortunately for me, not again, even though the food was great. Too bad.

Even though we live right around the corner, this was our first time visiting this restaurant. The food is absolutely amazing. If you like German cuisine, you've come to the right place. The pork knuckle: A poem! The Dead Grandma: Unique! We finally found a restaurant where we haven't been for the last time.

Food was quite good. But I prefer old style food more from them. However, I recommend strongly. The waiter was super nice and good.

Waiter was extremely unfriendly and non-attentive. When called for service, he was rude in his responses. We only got to order appetizers, as we ended up leaving due to the treatment we were receiving. We were also the only non-Germans in the restaurant. I hope that was not a factor in his attitude towards us, as I expect better treatment living in Berlin.

If you're looking for a really tasty German restaurant, you've come to the right place. We both had a pork knuckle in beer sauce with Thuringian dumplings and it was fantastic! I can only recommend anyone who likes to eat knuckle to stop here. Unfortunately I forgot to take a photo, but I'll pass it on later. The service was very friendly and contributed to the good atmosphere. You really feel like a guest in an inn!

We were at home with our in-laws today. I know the shop from before and was actually always really impressed. Today it didn't fit at all...the shop wasn't really full, roughly estimated 10 tables and two waitresses. We had reservations...let's get to the table above my mother-in-law. You can actually see the cobwebs no go when you're preparing your workplace. Then there was direct communication from the waiter, I also care for Berlin service with heart, I am a restaurateur with 25 years of professional experience, but you can do that if you know the group, the team and the family. What follows is the volume that the waiter fills half the restaurant with, plus 80 years of music...on the table when the reservation comes, you take down the Resi sign. On the table itself, dirty smeared candle jars can be cleaned when preparing your workplace...salt, pepper, well, cheap cruets, sorry, pepper mills and a salt cruet don't cost millions....it's at snack level. No flowers and the attempt to make the table look pretty with simple napkins all seemed 10 years out of date. When it comes to napkins, minimum contact applies. If there are only two of me, then a beer mug with cutlery and a napkin, pepper mill, salt, flower candle on all the tables sets the dining room from the start. If the place gets full, you don't have to worry. Can I take care of myself and the terrace? Less is clearly more here! I've noticed that I have tolerance for the fact that service is tight, but taking the order with a pad of paper is wasted time. Get an Orderman or a tablet with Orderbird, it takes too long to take the order and make additional checks at the main checkout. Record the guest and you're done. Again the preparation of the workplace, it doesn't seem confident when the service becomes hectic, panicked and starts running, organize themselves properly and you can do the shop with two people, but service that runs is a no go!!!! Let's get to the food, orange quarters and parsley is pretty much 80! My father-in-law had spiced meat as a starter, no toast, no lemon and the cheese wasn't even properly gratinated, for just under 10 euros. Main courses My mother-in-law's schnitzel Pups dry, and not properly Souffled A Viennese schnitzel should have wonderful folds and be fried in clarified butter, a schnitzel is always an experience, and at just under 28 euros. My roulade was soberingly bland. Disappointing for the price/performance ratio. With pork knuckle, you can easily make a veloute from the broth with roux and a little mustard. Especially today with higher prices, the little things are crucial. Like a pepper mill on all the tables, lighting candles, real music, and proper service that doesn't run around in jeans. Appropriate form of communication, for example not to use a dozen names directly to the younger female companion or to nudge them with the bill when paying is a no go. If someone at the table pays alone, there are bill folders instead of clipboards so that they can be placed discreetly on the table and not nudge the female companion from behind. As a service professional, I was disappointed in everything, I don't expect much, but the basics should be right, like clearing up when everyone has eaten and not leaving two plates, or wanting to pack up after offering and then forgetting about us and not caring about us anymore, the strawberry punch carelessly in a Havana glass without any decoration, no further asking about what you want or if you want to pay, maybe ask for a degistif or coffee to maybe make some sales. In the end, there was hardly any notice of the three of us sitting at tables in the dining room. I saw the effort and values ​​as an attempt to offer charming service, but that was a sentence with an X. Clearly in need of improvement. Especially with the prices today, every guest counts. But I'll give you another chance. The evening was OK but it could be better.

Been a happy guest there for years. Until last time there had always been great service, but the service that was offered there on Saturday was unbelievable. We sat outside in the beer garden and always had to go in if we wanted a drink. The service didn't even come out and ask if there was anything else. And after speaking to the service, we had to have another discussion and we should have respect.

I went to the restaurant on SUN August 4, 2024 at around 8:50 p.m. & I was already told that the kitchen was slowly closing, I wanted to order take-away anyway. I also brought my own Tupperware 1x Wiener Schnitzel & 1 Celery Schnitzel. Unfortunately I was bitterly disappointed, I ate there with my family in the summer of 2022 & the tartar sauce was homemade as was the dressing for the salads, now the dressing/tartar sauce is much too sweet. I know the sweetness of packaged coleslaws and ready-made dressings. The tartar sauce tasted like it was made from pickled herring fish. As if they took these and tried to spice them up! The meat from the Viennese was super thin, barely there, more breading than meat, was made in the "old" fat (since it was late in the evening) maybe that's a matter of taste but to charge a full 28 € for it is quite a disgrace! The side potatoes & celery schnitzel were good. In total our bill was €43.00 and unfortunately it was simply not worth the price. Unfortunately & that's why I only give 1 star 🌟 for the food. For this price you can expect homemade tartar sauce and salad dressing. Good side dishes (potatoes) are not enough, that should go without saying! It is a small, cozy restaurant at an intersection with an outdoor seating area. Back then the service was super friendly and quick, I can't say anything bad about it! My family from Bavaria was so excited. Unfortunately we won't be going there again in the future, which is purely a decision based on the food and value for money!

We liked the style and furnishings of the restaurant, except that the chairs in there are a bit uncomfortable in the long run, but everyone can decide that for themselves. We had made a reservation, when we arrived we were told that if we made the reservation we would have to sit inside and now we couldn't go outside, even though it was very warm...a bit incomprehensible, as there was space... The food was very good for everyone, tasty, good German cuisine! Service was friendly, apart from a few missing little things, it was really ok!

With one of the best Wiener Schnitzel in Berlin. The price is reasonable for this quality. Personally, I find the furniture in the outdoor area very uncomfortable, which took away from the comfortable atmosphere.

It's a shame it's no longer what it used to be. There is no longer any toast with the seasoned meat. As an exception, I was brought a roll and told that it no longer existed and that this would be an absolute exception. With the cream chanterelles there was something in the food that didn't belong there... However, the taste was very good. Unfortunately I couldn't finish it for that reason. As a courtesy, the entire bill was waived. Staff otherwise very nice. I probably won't eat here again!

Traditional restaurant with good quality, down-to-earth regional cuisine. There are the classics of German cuisine, from pork schnitzel to homemade brawn with fried potatoes. In addition, depending on the season, the respective highlights such as currently asparagus. The whole thing is rounded off by very friendly service.

Courteous staff always ask about guests' wishes, even when it's a little busier. Delicious home-style dishes await you. The menu is not too big and unusual, but the dishes are tasty. The interior is simply designed as a half-timbered structure, you can also sit outside, but it is directly on the main street, so it may be a little louder. It is better to arrive without a car, as there are no dedicated parking spaces. You can either park further away on one of the side streets or, with luck, get a space with a parking meter on Wisbyer Strasse.

I sat on the terrace with my friend Thomas because the sun was shining. After 15 minutes of waiting we left. Not that the shop was fully occupied, no...two tables in the shop, one on the terrace, were occupied by guests. Oh yes, it was June 4th, 2024 around 5:55 p.m. (a Tuesday)

traditional tasty (east-) german dishes in a modern traditional atmosphere where east berliners (mainly pankowers) meat visitors from around the world and west germany. much more authentic than gdr museum and wall memorial together, believe me :) i really like this place. and the blutwurst with sauerkraut :)

Haben wieder sehr gut im "Daheim" gegessen! Zu den Königsberger Klopsen gab es einen leckeren Rote Beete Salat. Wir wurden herzlich und schnell bedient und haben uns sehr heimisch gefühlt.

Sehr freundliches Personal, das Essen ist sehr gut.

Wir hatten sehr leckeres Wiener Schnitzel mit Büble Bier und Weiswein. Alles sehr lecker und zu empfehlen. Freundliche Bedienung im schönen Garten sn einem Sommernachmittag. Und auch im Winter ist das Restaurant mit seinen Holzbalken ein gemütlicher Ort.

Supernettes Personal und schnelle Bedienung. Ich konnte vorgestern mit viel Glück noch einen Platz zum Mittag reservieren. Es gab festliches Essen zu den Feiertagen. Ich wählte das Hirsch-Edelgulasch mit Klößen und Apfelrotkohl. Das Fleisch und die Klöße waren Butterworth und geschmacklich alles bestens. Die Kirsch-Rotwein-Soße war auch köstlich. Naja ,hätte vom Preis her ( 28 Euro ) etwas günstiger sein können. Aber wann ist man schon einmal so gutes Wild. Komme sehr gern wieder.
