Lecker, aber Vorsicht, wenn man empfindlich auf scharfes Essen reagiert. Notfalls mehr Enjera und Joghurt dazu nehmen. Schönes Ambiente.

Alles wunderbar, allerdings: Essen war fantastisch und überraschend günstig.

Ein großartiges und toll angerichtetes Essen mit einer richtigen Geschmacksexplosion. Dazu noch eine sehr nette Bedienung und tolles Ambiente. Komme auf jeden Fall wieder.

Wir waren bereits in verschiedenen äthiopischen Restaurants, welche sehr gut waren, aber dieses Restaurant war wirklich das Beste bisher. Wir hatten eine große Platte zu zweit mit verschiedenen Beilagen, somit konnten wir alles einmal probieren. Sie war selbst ohne Vorspeise mehr als ausreichend. Die Auswahl war vielseitig, der Service sehr freundlich und das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist sehr fair.

Brutal 10/10 Super Service und Essen puh erste Sahne

Das Essen war sehr lecker, eine Platte für zwei Personen mit 45€ jedoch auch nicht günstig. Ich würde wegen den guten Geschmacks jeder Zeit wieder hin gehen. Einen Stern Abzug heim Essen gab es für das Fleischgericht, es war sehr lecker aber das Fleisch war schon eher "trocken". Die Bedienung war super freundlich und das Ambiente ist nett aufgemacht.

Tolles tolles Essen, sehr nette Kellnerin und schönes Restaurant. Wir waren sehr begeistert, immer wieder gerne.

Das mit Abstand beste Habesha-Essen, das ich je gegessen habe – so authentisch wie nur möglich. Ich bestellte Kitfo, Zilzil Tibs, Yebeg Tins und die vegetarische Platte. Ich bin aus Kanada zu Besuch. 5+ Sterne.

Das Essen war so unglaublich lecker. Von der Vorspeise über den Hauptgang bis zum Dessert. Bester Afrikaner, den ich kenne. 👍

Eines meiner absoluten Lieblingsrestaurants. Ich esse immer Veggieplatte, mit Fleisch ist zwar auch gut, aber einfach nicht nötig. Die fluffigen Pfannkuchen als Beilage sind auch super. Auch die Besitzer sind immer super herzlich und nett. Weiter so, ich komme gerne und oft wieder

Das Daaro ist ein absoluter Geheimtipp, den man von außen so niemals erwarten würde. Schon beim Betreten wird man überrascht: Der Innenbereich ist wunderschön gestaltet, mit viel Liebe zum Detail und einer Atmosphäre, die sofort ein Gefühl von Geborgenheit und Fernweh zugleich vermittelt. Das Essen ist einfach herausragend – unglaublich lecker, frisch und mit so viel Sorgfalt und Liebe angerichtet, dass man merkt, wie viel Herzblut hier drinsteckt. Jede Speise ist nicht nur geschmacklich ein Highlight, sondern auch ein kleines Kunstwerk, dass je nach Belieben mit Freunden gemeinsam von einem Teller oder auch auf einzelnen Tellern arrangiert werden kann. Besonders beeindruckend ist der Service: Die Angestellten oder auch die Chefin selbst nehmen sich Zeit, erklären geduldig die Gerichte und sorgen dafür, dass man sich rundum wohlfühlt – egal, ob man die eritreische Küche schon kennt oder zum ersten Mal probiert. Ich liebe es dort und komme immer wieder gerne zurück. Ein Ort, der nicht nur satt macht, sondern begeistert.

Einfach mega toll. Das Essen ist echt lecker, der Service ist unglaublich freundlich und hilfsbereit. Ein echtes Juwel in Neu-Isenburg und definitiv auch einen Trip von Frankfurt wert!

Ost-Afrikanisches Restaurant. Sehr lecker, sehr gut gewürzt, aber nicht zu scharf. Die Bedienung ist super nett, freundlich und ist sehr hilfsbereit einem das Essen zu erklären. Die Sitzmöbel könnten etwas besser gepolstert sein. Die Kaffee-Zeremonie ist ein echtes Erlebnis!

Seit Jahren gehe ich immer wieder und sehr gerne in dieses Restaurant. Ich liebe es dort und das Essen ist so unglaublich lecker 🤤🤤

Ich war das erste mal hier und sehr beeindruckt von der vielfältigen und leckeren Küche. Wir haben uns eine Platte zu zweit geteilt und konnten somit jede Menge verschiedene Gerichte probieren. Von Lamm bis Linsen alles vertreten. Zudem ein schönes Ambiente und aufmerksames Personal, was will man mehr. Ich komme gerne wieder.

Leckeres Essen im gemütlichen Lokal! Der Rotwein war auch sehr gut. :-) Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und uns wurde sowohl die Zubereitung des Essens (nach Rückfrage), als auch die Kaffeezeremonie erklärt. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Delicious food! They offer vegan options (and meat dishes, of course). If you can't decide, the mixed platters are a great way to start. For dessert, we had baked bananas with vanilla ice cream. Our dogs were welcome, and we received very friendly and attentive service. You should definitely try the Dju Dju beer—the fruit-flavored varieties are very refreshing. In short, we left the restaurant completely stuffed and happy. We'll be back! :)

Very tasty and fresh, very friendly service. The ambiance could be improved, but that's due to the space/building itself rather than the decor. Unfortunately, I only found out the card reader wasn't working when I went to pay. So I had to go back to the bank.

The three of us ate at DAARO today and were pleasantly surprised. Friendly and attentive service, a well-maintained and clean atmosphere, excellent and stylishly prepared food, and generous portions. The drinks selection was a perfect match. And all at reasonable prices. We'll definitely be back!

A warm welcome, a friendly and hospitable atmosphere. Delicious food, pleasantly spicy. The coffee ceremony is also recommended. Allow some time. Also, be sure to grab the first parking space you find, as they are scarce in this residential area.

The best Eritrean/Ethiopian restaurant in Frankfurt and the surrounding area. The food is incredibly fresh, delicious, and authentic. It tastes just like mom's home-cooked food. The portions are very generous, and the value for money is truly excellent. The service is very friendly and accommodating, catering to all requests. And the ambiance is a 10/10.

An absolute insider tip! My family and I discovered the DAARO restaurant in Neu-Isenburg (Frankfurt am Main) through a recommendation. The food, service, and ambiance exceeded all our expectations. The cuisine is particularly first-class and authentic—so much so that I jokingly thought I could save the cost of a trip to Ethiopia or Eritrea and just come here instead.

A very delicious, freshly prepared meal and very friendly hosts. You get freshly brewed coffee (yes, traditionally with salted popcorn – which is also freshly prepared). The coffee beans are roasted before brewing. A top-notch little restaurant. We really enjoyed it. The portions were more than generous. Prices were reasonable. We'll definitely be back. If you like African food, this is definitely the place to go 👌🏼 Highly recommended. One more little tip: traditionally, it's eaten with your hands. Definitely give it a try; it tastes authentic 😉😀

I ate here with a friend yesterday. It was my first African meal, and the positive reviews encouraged me to try it. Conclusion: I am completely and unreservedly thrilled! The restaurant is very cozy and authentically decorated. We had a mixed platter (highly recommended!!). Sooo delicious!! I like spicy and hot food, but I'm a "potato" and therefore have a European palate. The dishes had just the right amount of heat and spice for me. Simply DELICIOUS! I tried two of the exotic lemonades with it. Amazing! I would also like to highlight and recommend the African coffee, which not only tastes really good, but is served with popcorn and incense. How extraordinary is that? The service was also very friendly and attentive, almost like family. Everything was explained very patiently. I felt very welcome as a guest. And all of this at a really fair price-performance ratio. For me, this was not just a wonderful, tasty dinner, but a special experience. THANK YOU! I will definitely be back!

We are absolutely thrilled! The food was fantastic - traditional dishes prepared with a lot of love. I would particularly like to highlight the lamb, which even my husband liked, although he is not usually a fan of it. The mixed plates of meat were a real highlight: wonderfully seasoned, pleasantly spicy and simply delicious. The owner was incredibly friendly, explained everything to us and made the experience perfect with her warmth. A special detail that we really liked: drinks are served in stylish coconut bowls, which underlines the authentic ambience. All in all a great experience - we'll definitely be back!

Everything here tastes so good. The portions are really big, you'll be more than full, the different types of meat are super tender and really well seasoned. You can taste the love in the food. The staff and the owner are super friendly. Anyone who wasn't there honestly missed something.

Wonderful Ethiopian/eritrean food. We were on the way from Austria to the Netherlands and took a detour for this. Suffice to say we will make a detour the next time we are anywhere remotely close.

If you like East African cuisine or want to try it out, this is the perfect place. The food is A1 and the service is friendly and accommodating. So, just visit and be amazed.
