Da Raffaella in München

We went to Da Raffaella for a birthday party. We loved the pizza. Special requests are no problem. The pizza is very well-topped and tastes excellent. The owner was very accommodating. The ambiance was very pleasant. We would gladly come back.

We were passing through Munich and tried the restaurant based on the good reviews. This small, quaint Italian restaurant made a nice impression at first glance, and the owner was very friendly and accommodating. Unfortunately, the quality of the pizzas was a serious disappointment: the dough was too thick in the middle, while the edges were flat and hard, the toppings were almost boring, and there was far too much onion on the tonno – overall, it was more reminiscent of a frozen pizza and, for us, didn't fit the bill of an authentic Italian restaurant. We didn't try any other dishes, so I can only speak about the pizza. Since previous reviews had given us completely different expectations, I would like to point out, especially to other travelers, that our experience here was unfortunately not positive.

Very rude!! We made a reservation to go for dinner at 9:30 pm since the website states that they close at 11:00 pm and when we arrived they said that the kitchen had been closed for a long time and that there was no option to eat anything. Very unprofessional and few manners. We arrived very punctual and the situation we found was all the workers already drinking. Despite showing the reservation we had made they told us that they would not give us dinner and that we were still too many people (we were a group of 6). Please if you close the kitchen 2 hours earlier than what is stated on the website, please update it.

A charming, quaint Italian restaurant. The owner works in the kitchen herself, cooking her family-style dishes. Unfortunately, they're not always top-notch. The pizza is very greasy and thick, but tasted okay. The tortellini with ham in a cream sauce was also okay, but the tortellini were simply not cooked well... Far too hard, the filling dry, and unfortunately, hadn't seen any cooking water. A shame. We sat on the terrace, which was very nice. Unfortunately, the interior wasn't as cozy. The service, however, was very attentive and friendly.

Raffaella is a wonderful hostess and always in a good mood. We love coming here; it's cozy and homey, and thankfully not a fancy restaurant. There are plenty of those in Munich.

A simple but inviting restaurant with very friendly staff, and the food is served quickly. The dishes (especially the pizza) are made with very high-quality ingredients, and above all, you can't often find such good dough, even in Italy. Perfectly baked and crispy, as it should be. A strong recommendation for those looking for quality, not frills.

Unfortunately, it wasn't open yet on this glorious summer day. It only opened at 5 p.m.

The terrace was very nice, but unfortunately, there was a karaoke event going on that was almost considered a noise nuisance. Vegetarian food, apart from vegetarian pizza, was just appetizers. The bruschetta appetizer was a giant pizza with tomato slices and olive oil. Not bad, but not what we expected and much too big! If you ordered a pizza afterward, have fun; it's not possible. The baked mozzarella on the salad was also a bit lackluster. Very nice overall.

This is probably the best restaurant I've ever been to. The atmosphere is relaxed, the food is TOP, the waitress is the nicest and cheeriest woman in the world. We were welcomed very warmly, not only were we served but we were talked to like friends, etc. The stay was very pleasant and we have never felt so comfortable. I recommend it to EVERYONE.

It was our first time there and we were greeted very nicely. The homemade bruschetta and pasta and the wine tasted very good. We will definitely come back. Absolutely thumbs up!

Rarely have I had such good pasta! The noodles were fresh and homemade, and the spices were perfectly balanced - simply incredibly delicious! The service was also excellent: very friendly and quick. I highly recommend this restaurant and will definitely come back!

Good food, but there was multiple problems, the cart said potatoes with vegtables and steak, staff said that the steak didn’t come with potatoes and only when confronted she said that she didn’t have potatoes anymore (why lie in the first place) after that I asked for a coffee that never came, finally we asked for the tab, which not only came wrong but was extremely pricey, with a Coca Cola being mistaken by a helles beer which is more expensive. After all this I reminded the staff my coffee never came and she brought extremely burned and with bad taste which I did not drink. Overall a bad experience and won’t go again. Maybe I caught a bad day, but it was extremely disappointing after all the good reviews we read.

Great Italian restaurant. The landlady Raffaella is a Calabrian original and attaches great importance to quality. Homemade pasta variations are also part of the repertoire, as are delicious pizza and homemade cakes. Football fans also get their money's worth thanks to Sky and dazn.

Cozy restaurant with friendly staff and delicious food! The dessert is a dream!

The pizza was delivered by Uber. Unfortunately, we didn't like it. It was worth a try, as ours was unfortunately closed over the holidays. They put pepperoni on it instead of garlic, the crust was burnt, and the pizza tasted bitter.

The waitress was very friendly, presumably the owner. She took great care of us. We may have been the only customers, but I still enjoyed it. The pizza was excellent and the price was absolutely reasonable! 🙂👍 We'll be back!

An absolutely magnificent Italian woman with beautiful Giesing. Here we still cook our own food and do it in the original Italian style with a lot of love and taste. Fantastic! Been going here for a long time and really enjoy eating. Also great for self-collectors!

Restaurant da Raffaela in the Hohenschwangauhof - definitely try it out! Yesterday, more by chance, found a restaurant. Located a bit out of the way on a one-way street. Few parking spaces right in front of the door. Parking available at Hohenschwangauplatz. Small secluded terrace (for about 40 people). Large, bright guest room. Lovingly designed. The landlady/hostess is a little bundle of energy. She serves, cooks and bakes everything herself (except pizza). The price/performance ratio for Munich is almost crazy... For bruschetta (the size of a pizza) with fresh tomatoes, onions & parsley you pay €6.90! You can almost get full there. The generously topped pizza (here Diavolo) for € 12.50. Tagliatelle with fresh salmon €15.90 Profiterole (cream puffs) plenty for 2 people €6.50 We were thrilled! We have never been greeted so warmly and said goodbye the first time 🥰 The food was freshly cooked & very good. We are happy to recommend Raffaella and will definitely come back soon Thank you for the lovely and tasty evening. Info: also easily accessible by public transport. From Giesing bhf with bus 220 stop Pöllatstr., then about 300m walk. Or tram 18 stop Chiemgaustr. or Schwanseeplatz, each about a 600m walk. Conclusion: Definitely take a look

We were here to celebrate my son's 15th birthday and had reserved a table in advance. It was already specially decorated. It was a very successful evening with really delicious food. Raffaella welcomed and served us very warmly and at the end there was a little surprise with candles "15". The grandparents (somewhat hard of hearing) were there, so it was very good that we had a quiet place and everyone could understand each other. Thank you very much! If we visit Munich again, we'll be happy to come back!

The best pizza in all of Munich. Humane prices and a unique boss Raffaella has her heart in the right place. She really makes everything herself, the pizza dough is all freshly topped... the desserts are all homemade. Sweet restaurant with a fantastic boss. She lends a hand herself, bakes cakes, conjures up dolce and cooks typical Italian dishes. Very fine home cooking, outstanding pizza, authentic dishes and super friendly staff. We can only recommend a visit here!

A real insider tip for everyone in Munich with good taste. We were very curious at the beginning and simply thrilled at the end. The small appetizers were the perfect start and a very good combination with the oils and an aperitif. The 🍕 🍕 pizza was a 10 out of 10. Very very tasty 😋 we chose a vegetarian one and one with seafood. Every bite was a little taste explosion. Since we sat outside we were able to enjoy the beautiful sky with the colors of the evening sun. Of course we were welcomed and enchanted by the boss, her loving manner rounded off our evening perfectly and we were able to walk home full and satisfied. Our tip is to definitely try their limoncello. ❤️ 🫶 ♥️

Such an amazing restaurant!! We had antipasto, a few different types of pizza, and some different pasta dishes and everything was incredible. The spaghetti ala aglio e olio was my favorite thing, I wish I had more room to get another plate! Such sweet people working here and the owner is lovely. This is a must visit!!

A small family restaurant with a staff that makes you feel at home. Coincidentally, today was a karaoke evening. I have to say that everything from the food to the atmosphere was perfect and I have nothing to add. (Insider tip: the lasagna here is simply unbeatable)

💯 Great food. Like in Italy. Tortellini with Funghi Porcini and 4 cheese sauce. Great, like in Tuscany. The boss Raffaella personally asks whether it was tasty. And today she even gave us a piece of cake! With two limoncellos on the side. Even though it was our first time there. If you're looking for an Italian heart in the middle of Munich, you've come to the right place.

To me, Da Raffaella is the best Italian food in Munich, at an unbeatable price. Rafaella herself makes all the food (apart from the pizzas, which are made by a separate and excellent pizza chef). Rafaella also offers a housemade limoncello, which is certainly the best limoncello I have ever had. The service is intimate and friendly, and Rafaella is a warmly welcoming hostess. The lasagna is a must-try, and all of the pasta is excellent, but the star of the regular menu is certainly the scallopini; all of them are pounded flat by hand and served with delicious sauces. The specials are also generally excellent (I admit that I love the regular menu so I don’t always try something new from the daily specials, but every time I have tried them, they have been excellent). Also: be sure not to miss the housemade desserts! This is my neighborhood Italian eatery, and it’s a local treasure that I’m sure you will also relish.

Good simple Italian cuisine at very fair prices and the warm staff makes you feel welcome straight away. All of our dishes were very tasty. Spaghetti Bolognese excellent. But I still have a small suggestion for improvement. Dear Raffaella team, why do you serve the tiramisu in plastic packaging? Please just put the piece on a plate and only use the packaging for tiramisu to take away. But that was the only point of criticism. Otherwise a completely successful evening. We'd love to come back.

The inviting and quiet outdoor area complemented the friendly service. The food and wine were delicious, stylishly prepared and fairly priced. The homemade ice cream is a dream! Our special requests were also taken into account in moderation. We only wanted to take our leftover pizza with us and they were probably forgotten, but we were very full anyway =) Mille grazie e arrivederci!

Celebrated my wife's birthday yesterday. There were 6 adults and 2 children. The table was beautifully decorated, the food was, as always, very good and, as I love it, hot. It is an experience to spend a few lovely hours here. The boss (Raffaella) is warm and always tries to please everyone, which she succeeds in doing.

We stumbled in by chance and were welcomed like old friends. The atmosphere that mother and daughter spread is family-like and absolutely great. The food is delicious and fresh and lovingly prepared and the price is absolutely right. But the absolute highlight is the tiramisu, which mom prepares herself. Simply the best ever! Even though it's a bit hidden, you should definitely stop by. 💕

Telephone reservation: Very friendly on the phone. On site: Disastrous, a completely overwhelmed waiter, ordering takes forever. Pizza was ok. Unfortunately tagliatelle had too much pepper, the dish was not brought again with less pepper - that was included in the bill.

Family run, lots of Italians there, which should bode well for the food. We didn't think it was outstanding. But the prices are reasonable. For 4. With cocktails and some starters we paid €100.

I can't understand the other reviews. This restaurant is cheap and awful, the atmosphere resembles a canteen and you feel like you're in a zoo, as almost all the guests have several pets at the table. The food has nothing whatsoever to do with Italy and instead looks more like frozen German food. Also, we didn't get the food we ordered at the same time, there were more than ten minutes between serving, so the food was cold when we were finally able to start eating together. We definitely won't be back. Horrible.

Eine unglaublich nette und herzliche Inhaberin, die selbst kocht und auch bedient. Die Nudeln waren ausgezeichnet, die Portionen groß und der selbstgemachte Tiramisu unglaublich lecker!!! Meine Tochter bekam sogar einen Nachtisch auf's Haus- natürlich selbstgemacht! Selbst unser Zwergpudel wurde mit einem Leckerli verwöhnt.
