Currywurst tastes like it does in Berlin. Five stars for that! Sausage: crispy, hearty, decent size, well-grilled! Five stars! Sauce: fruity, flavorful, not watery, good consistency! Five stars! Fries: potato fries, bland, soggy, sticky, unseasoned, unfortunately no mayo. One stars. Service: friendly and courteous Restrooms: spacious, roomy, well-equipped, with a window Terrace: inviting, under trees with a view of the market Price: Classic Currywurst (2-course version), fries, to go, €18 Restaurant price: three stars, as there's no discernible difference to takeaway quality

It was tasty and filling, no question, but I expected more. The curry sauce was a bit disappointing; it tasted very sweet, almost like curry ketchup. It was quite strange; I missed the authentic currywurst flavor. Otherwise, it was okay; if you want to be full, you can go for it. But there are definitely better alternatives.

Highly recommended! It's been a long time since we've had such a new service! The currywurst variations all sound delicious, and the ones we had tasted just as good 🙂 The prices are totally OK.

Unfortunately, the currywurst is made from a meat sausage. It tastes okay. I prefer it made from a coarse bratwurst.

I visited Currywoschdhaus and was sadly disappointed. The currywurst tasted far too strongly of ketchup for my taste, instead of the robust curry flavor I was expecting. While the service was friendly (apart from some forgotten and mixed-up orders), the food ultimately wasn't what I was hoping for for the hefty price of €20 for two currywursts and fries. I hope they can improve the recipe in the future.

You can go on a diet tomorrow. Honestly, who needs Michelin-starred cuisine when you can get currywurst with fries and melted cheese? At Curryworschdhaus, at least you'll be lovingly pelted with calories. The currywurst? A poem in sauce. They even come in chicken, for that good feeling of ordering something "light" (haha). Vegetarian options are also available, by the way. For those who prefer to be morally full. The fries were so crispy they probably have their own fan club. And the cheese on top, simply a warm hug for the soul (and a little slap in the face for every diet). Service? Friendly, fast, no reason to complain, almost suspiciously pleasant. And the prices are so fair that you wonder if the kitchen knows what they're churning out. In conclusion: If you don't leave here feeling full and happy, you've done something wrong. Highly recommended, especially if your nutritionist is already getting on your nerves.

I'm impressed by how great you can vary a simple dish. There is something for everyone. The prices are not cheap, but definitely worth the money. This top quality cannot be compared with a standard currywurst at fast food. The different levels of spiciness offer an additional appeal that you wouldn't get otherwise. The service is friendly and quick. The beer with it is also nice and cold and tastes fresh. It's a shame that I won't be in Forchheim as often any more, otherwise I would still stop by there regularly for a delicious wine.

So we were there for the first time today and the food was tasty but in my opinion it was nothing special. You can go there if you want to eat a currywurst, the price was ok, but personally there are other local places where you can also eat good or just as good currywurst

Unfortunately I have to give one star, the food doesn't taste good at all.

First of all. This is a 1-star review that hurts me, but it's honest and hopefully helps many others. But let's start from the beginning. First impression? Not good. A man who obviously belongs to the shop, hanging up posters when we greeted him upon entering, without greeting us back, and "slurring" something at us. Sorry. Without being rude - there was certainly no tea in his cup. At least not all day. Other guests picking up food, whom he "greeted" from behind the counter or from the kitchen, just shook their heads. Absolutely unacceptable. Then the next disappointment. The air in the shop is unbearable. If you have an "open" kitchen, then the exhaust ventilation in the kitchen must work. But it clearly doesn't. Absolutely bad air. When you leave, your clothes smell like they came from a snack bar in the 80s. Horrible. Service. Friendly and always attentive. And I can understand why several waiters aren't standing around on a Monday evening. But there were exactly three tables occupied. It took 20 minutes for us to get the menu (the drinks menu, which was apparently missing at our table). Then the place was empty again, except for the customers and a dog from the kitchen. Drinks? Another 20 minutes. The same thing happened at the neighboring tables. It took 50 minutes to get the food! What do they do when the place is full? Food? Terrible. We all felt sick when we left the place. Really sick. The fries were made with really old fat. And cold. You can forget about salt on fries. Okay. It was on the table. Then all this fuss about the spiciness! Do they eat spicy food? It's very spicy. You have to decide for yourself. And then they come with this "curry ketchup"? Don't get me wrong. Spiciness is subjective. But if my 8-year-old son, who's not into spicy food at all, eats my currywurst at 3/5 and adds more spice... then it's simply not spicy, and then there's no need to make such a fuss. The same thing happened at the next table. Although I think it might have been forgotten. It was so chaotic there. Either way. Not good food, at least not on our visit. A real shame. Nice location. Very poorly executed. We won't be back.

I had lunch here today. Even though it was actually just before closing time, I was calmly and comprehensively served. The food was very tasty and so was the freshly tapped draft beer. The ambience is something different and I would love to come back!👍👏😋🍺🌞 02/24/2025 I was very happy here again today. Friendly and committed staff worked quickly, the food was delicious and the dining room was very clean and attractively decorated. I would love to come back in 12 months.

I don't understand why there is so much complaining here. A nice, cozy atmosphere. The food or the CurryWorscht is recommended. WE had nothing to complain about and can only recommend it 👍👍👍👍👍

Once again, during our visit, there was a guest in the restaurant who was talking recklessly and, above all, loudly to the innkeeper. Someone who enjoys hearing himself speak and sharing his political thinking with all guests who want to enjoy their lunch break in peace. You couldn't miss it. It's a shame that the innkeeper doesn't notice this behavior and moderates his guest accordingly. This is how the guests get petted...

Unfortunately a total failure. Already in the entrance area there was a toilet stench. The guest room was very cold, the heating was off! Now about the food: Unfortunately everything was very simple here. Roasted onions from the bucket, frozen fries, sauce without a good taste, the cheapest processed cheese - every hobby cook can do it better. Salad selection zero, just loveless tomato salad. There is no cooking here, only ready-made food is heated. What's that supposed to mean ? Every snack bar can do it better, never again.

We had a game night there and I for one thought it was great there. The food was great and we had fun too :)

The entire family had an upset stomach, half an hour after dinner it started...stomach cramps and diarrhea. The portions are manageable for the high price, and the fries are not homemade. The service was good and the ambience was nice.

Was there for lunch with work colleagues. The selection of currywurst is really big. It will be difficult to choose a dish because everything looks so special and delicious. I ended up ordering a slightly spicy currywurst with a fried egg on top and fries on the side. I was absolutely not disappointed. It was very tasty. The staff is also nice and on the ball. I'm already looking forward to the next time! Price wise also ok. Highly recommended.

Don't be discouraged by people who have no taste. Anyone who compares this restaurant with the gastronomy from Globus should stay at home. I see delicious sausage, great fries and the service is very nice. Everything is great! And the price is absolutely correct. There is no snack bar here...

Simply delicious... the currywurst was like in the photos. Extremely delicious. The sauce was excellent, fresh and meh. Not like most people just heat up ketchup, but homemade and fresh. I just think the freely selectable sharpness is great, because then there is something for everyone. The fries cross and match. So we'll definitely come back and try other variants.

Snot. A paper thermometer would be more fun for taking rectal temperatures than waiting for service here. The service specialist is as useful as water wings in a train accident. Their name tag should say type 3 diabetes. I hate this store. They have completely changed here. I have now caught and eaten a pigeon.

My most expensive currywurst in my life, nothing out of the ordinary. Snotty answer from the owner, who doesn't even own up to his bad food. Therefore another star deduction!

Regular currywurst in various dips. The taste is far from exceptional. Prices exorbitant. Even the potato side dish is extra. But at least the side dish was large. Since the owner's reactions can also be attributed to the service, the owner's cheeky answer leads to devaluation.

We have been here several times and have always had very tasty food. The portions are plentiful.

Our last visit was a real disappointment because you can't see the menu without a cell phone. I didn't have my phone with me and left without food. In my opinion, not all guests are welcome anymore.

Were a guest at the Currywoschdhaus in Forchheim on a Sunday evening and were able to get a seat in front of the restaurant when it was over 25 degrees. From arrival to drinks it took less than 5 minutes. The service was very friendly, accommodating and was able to give us very good advice on our choice of food. The variety of currywurst dishes is outstanding and everyone should find something for themselves. You can also determine the level of spiciness yourself. The food served convinced each of us and the four of us needed around €60. The ambience at the Paradeplatz, which is under construction, cannot really be assessed yet, but at least only a few cars drove past the construction site. All in all a place to come back!

It is a small restaurant with a beer garden. There are many different variations of currywurst. However, the food wasn't anything special, the sauce didn't have much flavor and the portion wasn't too big. You only get a glass and a bottle. The innkeeper very rudely insulted his wife, who was briefly sitting at the table next to us. You don't do that in front of your guests. We wouldn't go there again

The building is very large, with lots of seating inside and outside. Very nicely designed. Food as always very tasty 😋. Staff is super nice, friendly and helpful. But I just like the currywoschdhaus in Fürth much better.

Ate very tasty curry oshd, as it is called in French. So many variations and one sounds better than the other. Good portions and the spiciness can be varied. Gladly again soon. Reservations recommended on weekends.

The Currywursthaus is really comfortably furnished, with a feel-good atmosphere. The service is friendly. There are a variety of different currywurst dishes and of course a large selection of drinks. I took the malt drink, great, not often offered. The homemade lemonade tastes and is visually outstanding. For dinner we had Billy the Kid with bacon in barbecue sauce and fries. The sauce is a dream in terms of taste and consistency, the bacon went well with it, it had a bit of cross and saltiness, but it was still very good. The currywurst with tortilla chips 🌶 in salsa sauce and fries was a bit unusual but very interesting and good. The sauce had a full Mexican flavor and was beautifully garnished. As a currywurst fan, this Mexican style is not for me, but my wife thought it was very good. The portions are available in normal size with one sausage, two or XL. Normal eaters get full with the normal ones, everyone else should take the larger ones. The price is borderline when you consider what you end up eating and how little effort it takes in comparison. But the prices are certainly due to the general location and everyone has to earn money, so the Currywursthaus is a clear recommendation from me and I think it's really great that this house exists, as I said, I'm a currywurst fan. Keep it up.

It's a local place with limited choice ( just wurstel and fries disguised in many variations). The food is pretty good anf you can get it very spicy. Beer is good as everywhere and service is nice. No wow factor but still nice.

Immer ein guter Ort um Currywurst zu essen

Sehr nette Belegschaft und die Auswahl an Currywurst ist überragend! Der Geschmack ist super und die Portionsgröße sehr gut. Das einzige was man vielleicht bemängeln könnte ist, dass Mayonnaise zu den Pommes extra kostet und dass man vielleicht einen Beilagensalat dazu reichen könnte. Die Preise sind etwas hoch aber dafür auch echt viel Auswahl und gute Portionen. Alles in allem sehr gut!

Ein Urgestein Forchheimer Geschichte, das auch nur mit der Höchstpunktzahl ausgezeichnet werden kann. Das Essen war immer frisch und lecker, man hat die Passion des Besitzers gespürt. Ein sehr guter Laden. Der einize Kritikpunkt ist, dass es im Menü nicht mehr die kleinen Portionen, namhaft Schülerwoschd, gibt, weshalb der Ort zum Vertreiben der Mittagspause nicht mehr geeignet wurde. Eine urige Wirtschaft, die es schafft den Flair einer traditionellen bayrischen Gaststätte zeitgemäß zu leben. Rustikale Einrichtung lädt zum verweilen ein, dennoch ist alles hell und offen. Im Hintergrund spielt Musik, man kann jedoch noch die Gespräche am Nachbartisch verstehen. Durch die zentrale Theke hat der Service steht's den Raum im Blick. Man wird zügig und sehr freundlich bedient. Beim Essen gibt es keine Überraschungen. Der Name ist Programm. Currywoschd in zig Varianten. Ob Smarties oder Kapern auf eine Currywurst passen? Liebe Berliner , hier müsst ihr Nerven bewahren. Aber unsere Weißwurst wird in anderen Teilen Deutschlands auch auf vielfältigste Wege kulinarisch gegeiselt. Die Wurst gibt es klassisch oder gehen Aufpreis als Geflügel oder vegan. Süßkartoffeln Pommes oder wedges sind auch geben Aufpreis machbar. Der einzige Ausreißer auf der Karte ist ein Salat mit Tomaten Mozzarella. Die Wurst war echt in Ordnung. Eine schöne, fruchtige Currysoße. Normale Pommes wären besser gewesen, die süße der Süßkartoffeln-Pommes geht in der Soße unter. Die Wurst ist eine Rote mit Haut. Für meinen Geschmack zu viel Pöckelsalz. Portion ist angemessen, der Preis etwas hoch. Die Getränkekarte ist eine Bereicherung. Sehr viele heimische Biere. Auch ansonsten alles dabei. What you see, is what you get. Im Currywoschdhaus kann man einen schnellen Snack einnehmen oder gemütlich versumpfen.

Wow, ich wusste gar nicht, dass es so viele Variationsnmöglichkeiten für Currywurst mit Pommes gibt! Chapeau für diese überraschende Geschäftsidee. Darüber hinaus ein schöner Biergarten direkt im Zentrum von Forchheim. Ich empfehle übrigens die Currywurst Texas in mittlerer Schärfe.

Auf Empfehlung nach Forchheim gefahren. War richtig lecker für Liebhaber der Cult-Wurst. Klasse Ambiente mit nettem Chef. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Wir sind vom Currywoschdhaus was anderes gewöhnt. Forchheim kann sich an Fürth eine große Scheibe abschneiden. Wir werden in Zukunft wieder nach Fürth gehen.
