Curry 36 (Hauptbahnhof) in Berlin

It used to be the only thing you could eat at the haubi, but now it's extremely unhygienic.

The taste was okay. The currywurst was unfortunately very small. €4 would have been enough here. It's okay once, but I doubt I'll come again, as the price/performance ratio could be better.

The woman at the checkout doesn't give me what I ordered, but what she wants. Totally unfriendly and not competent.

Typical Berlin classic! The currywurst at Curry 36 at the main train station is always worth a stop, especially if you want something quick on hand. The sausage is delicious, the sauce is nice and spicy and the fries are crispy. Price-performance ratio is absolutely right for the central location. Sometimes you have to wait in line, but the service is quick and friendly. Anyone arriving or departing from Berlin should stop by here.

The attitude of the staffs tending to the register and taking orders is the worst that I have ever witness. I ordered 2 cups of coffee for 4.6 euro, and gave them a 5 euro bill. Upon receiving it, they started examining the bill as if i had given them some sort of faked bill. After that, i noticed the cups didn't have lids, so i asked for them, and the staff responded irresponsibly with "no more lids" and didn't even look in my direction. Either their attitude is terrible or them being extremely racist toward me and my wife as we are not caucasians nor europeans.

If you consider that you are standing here at the main train station and have a healthy expectation management system, four stars are absolutely justified. I have never eaten better currywurst at a train station stall. There are clearly 5 stars for the friendly staff on site. It's great that they remain so friendly, quick and coordinated despite such a hustle and bustle. Thank you for that!

The sauce wasn't really that good. There wasn't enough curry powder. Probably only rated so highly because of the good location with a lot of foot traffic. A shame.

Curry36 at the main train station is a really good choice for a quick and solid currywurst. It's a bit more expensive than the other locations, but the taste is good. No seating, only high tables, and unfortunately, only wooden picks are available. The old plastic ones were much more pleasant to eat with.

The Haveller apple pork sausage was very tasty, as were the fries and the ketchup. The prices are also very humane.

Original not tasting Curry 36 ketchup. If I could, I would give the stars in the negative range. The reason for this was the saleswoman who answered the question about the ketchup with “Well😉”, but the taste was only “Well🫤”. After eating everything, we still didn't find out the secret recipe for the sauce.

When I visited, I was very surprised by the boss, who shouted at the customers that if they didn't form two rows straight away, she'd have enough. She also loudly insulted an employee in front of customers and others, saying that if she made another mistake, then... I understand that the job is stressful and yet it's not possible in this form. We will no longer consume anything there that treats customers and employees like that. We had fries, so not much can go wrong and they were ok too.

A real disappointment. I paid 6.40EUR for currywurst with intestines and fries with mayo. 3.20EUR for the sausage, 3.20EUR for fries with mayo. The story is told quickly: - Currywurst too small, there were 5 pieces (it must have shrunk over the years) - Currywurst sauce bland - Fries limp, raw on the inside, not crispy enough on the outside, unfortunately cold, not salted enough - Very little mayo at first, had to ask for more mayo. During my last visit to Berlin I noticed that the fries looked too light. Back then I didn't buy currywurst with fries. This time I thought I'd give it another try. A mistake! That was it for me and Curry 36. I still thought it was good at the zoo, but unfortunately it was bad there too last time. Also disappointing at Mehringdamm, and that was the final death knell here today. I didn't think the frying pan was good before, but compared to the quality of today's Curry 36 chain: It goes down better. Curry Baude was also much better. Goodbye, Curry 36. PS: The staff was friendly, but my main concern is the currywurst.

The only positive thing about the Curry 36 is the mostly friendly staff. I ordered currywurst with fries and ketchup. The fries, ketchup and sauce were generous. Taste: The taste of the fries was okay. The sausage didn't blow me away in terms of taste and was very small. It had no recognizable taste of its own and the highly praised sauce was just boring and bland. My conclusion: I was simply disappointed with my visit to Curry 36.

It is fairly cheap typical food and a good option if you don't want to stop to eat and continue visiting Berlin. It is a chain so they are in many places in the city. I recommend the currywurst, it is a little bit spicy but nothing that is not bearable. For about €5 we were satisfied for the entire afternoon. Fast and friendly service. If I could, I would go back.

WORST experience I’ve had in Berlin , I ordered two currywurst and the cashier asked where I was from , when I told him America he asked “then why isn’t your english good ?” EXTREMELY rude , I’m not sure what I could’ve said differently to appease him but I’ve never had an issue with language barriers and he obviously had some issue with us ?

Sooo was there twice today and definitely the last time. On the one hand, my wife is picked on and asks for a seat. She asks if we can see that she has a walker. On the other hand, the food is careless, just slapped on the pape, the sausages are cut way too thick and the fries are hard. Whatever else is there, it was 0 spicy, no curry powder or anything else on it, never again

Curry 36 ist eine Berliner Institution, deshalb war ein Besuch am Standort Hauptbahnhof für mich gesetzt. Insgesamt vergebe ich 3 von 5 Sternen – solide, aber mit deutlichem Verbesserungspotenzial. Positiv hervorzuheben ist die gute Auswahl an verschiedenen Würsten und die ordentlich gemachten Pommes Frites. Perfekt für einen schnellen Snack. Allerdings war die größte Enttäuschung für mich die „Currysoße“ – oder besser gesagt, das Currypulver auf Ketchup. Gerade bei einer bekannten Kette wie Curry 36 sollte es doch möglich sein, eine eigene, schmackhafte Currysoße anzubieten. Das gehört einfach dazu! Ein weiteres Manko: zu wenig Sitzmöglichkeiten. Platz wäre eigentlich vorhanden, aber es fehlt an Tischen, sodass man oft im Stehen essen muss. Fazit: Für eine schnelle Currywurst okay, aber kein kulinarisches Highlight. Wenn Curry 36 hier nachbessert, könnte das Erlebnis deutlich aufgewertet werden!

Oh well. The currywurst is edible. However, the sauce lacks a certain “oomph”. The portion is relatively small, so if you're hungry, order a double portion. The service isn't exactly the friendliest either. The 2 bar tables are also far too few.

Curry36 is actually always a good place to go, but the employee with the long beard was really a number. He made fun of me several times while I was ordering, "pack up, pack up, that's what it means." Massive disappointment! The sausages are extremely small, you have maybe 4-5 small pieces of sausage on the cardboard tray and that's it. But this was almost the best for the price. I ate my first currywurst here and thought it was really fantastic. However, the portions were quite small, the staff were quite hectic and the atmosphere was generally quite stressful. Nevertheless, I think you have to have eaten a currywurst here at least once, but rather in other Curry-36 branches that are not so crowded.

For a train station snack bar, this restaurant really offers good value for money. Of course you could definitely eat somewhere cheaper, but of course the food should also meet certain quality standards. It was my first time trying it, so I haven't compared it to other restaurants, but the sausage tasted more like ketchup and mayonnaise than curry. The taste was quite strong, so I felt it would have been better to use less ketchup and mayonnaise.

Super tasty currywurst in Berlin Whenever we are in Berlin, we have to have a currywurst, fries mayo at the end before we drive home. It's always fresh and hot there and never smells like stale frying grease. The service is always nice and friendly. What's also a nice idea from the store is that you can take the ketchup and the sausages or boulettes home packaged and then prepare them there. Of course you have to bring some time at certain times because there is a long queue there, but that's not so bad as you know what you're waiting for.

Halo! It was my first time to Berlin and had to get this currywurst! The employees here were so kind and happy with their job. I had to ask for cashier’s best choice for two and jt was more than heavenly! Plus, the beer was the most german drink to get recommend by one clerk. Senr Schön!

Der Laden im Hauptbahnhof hat mir von allen am wenigsten gefallen. Personal war nett, Preise ok. Sauberkeit auch nicht wirklich schlimm, aber es stand viel rum und der gelegentliche Lappen zwischendurch wäre auch nicht schlecht gewesen. Dann lieber Hardenbergplatz oder Mehringdamm. Lecker es alle Male.

A busy spot where there was already a queue as you walked past. I ordered the vegan fries & currywurst. I was then kindly informed that I would have to wait about 4 minutes because the sausage still had to be grilled and I was asked whether that would still be right for me. I wasn't stressed, so that was fine with me. When I ordered I was also told that there was vegan mayonnaise, so I also added the sauce. Overall the service was very nice. The food was delicious. The station ambience is very busy, but all in all it worked for me for something warm in between.

Good fast food at Berlin main train station. It was opened until 22.00, which is good for late commers, opened till last minute of opening time. Currywurst with fries was good, I have really enjoyed it.

When I came to Berlin, I wanted to try currywurst at least once. This place was said to be the most popular, so I stopped by as soon as I arrived at Berlin Central Station. It's probably delicious for those who like it, but is currywurst really that delicious? Craziness! Third price increase in 2 years Now 10% added again in July. The price-performance ratio is no longer right. Producer prices and electricity prices no longer justify this increase. A pity.

In 9 out of 10 cases they don't understand that I don't want the mayo on the fries and then either complain to me that the extra container is bad for the environment or that they've now made the fries for free. Berlin's restaurant employees are unfriendly, but I've never experienced it as rude as here. By the way, I never had this problem in the Warsaw branch and everyone is friendly.

The currywurst was very small and the curry sauce is also stingy here. In contrast to Curry 61 on Hackescher Markt, Curry 36 is not good value for money. I recommend Curry 61 to anyone who wants a really good currywurst. You feel very stressed here because of the hustle and bustle of the train station and the staff wasn't particularly friendly.
