Cupido The One and Only ''Arte di Cucina Italiana'' in München

We've been coming to Cupido regularly since 2015 (now occasionally with our children) and have never been disappointed. The quality is consistently very high – you can tell that only the finest products are used here. For us, it's the best Italian restaurant in Munich: authentic, with outstanding cuisine and always perfectly paired wines on the daily menu. Giuseppe truly does a fantastic job. We love coming back!

The food is excellent. Very high and top quality. The chef is super friendly. He also brings out unusual orders.

Food was average in my opinion. The truffle pasta somehow lacked flavour. I haven’t tried any other Italian restaurants in Munich, so I can’t compare locally, but it was definitely worse than ones I’ve had in other countries. We paid €80 for two pasta dishes, two glasses of wine, and a bottle of water, which felt a bit crazy.

A great Italian restaurant, home made foods, deserts. The cook, waiter are doing great job. Meals are very delicious, products are chosen with high quality. Smiling faces, friendly... that was one of rare experience. I highly recommend this restaurant.

We had a fantastic evening here! From the very first second, you can tell that for the small team (one chef and one owner), there's nothing better than serving their guests delicious, homemade food. Small but incredibly fine. For me, one of the best Italian restaurants. All the ingredients are extremely fresh, and the pasta and pinsa are homemade. We had asparagus soup, gratinated asparagus, and then the Loup de Mer. Everything tasted great. The chef himself does the service and is very friendly. Thanks, Guiseppe. We'll definitely be back as soon as we're back in Munich.

The homemade pasta was a true revelation, with fresh flavors and loving preparation. I felt in good hands and welcome at any time.

We made a reservation in advance and came to the time of the reservation. However the two old gentlemen that arrived after us were sited first, although I told the owner, that my friend had a birthday. After waiting for 10 minutes, the couple that we were waiting for to leave ordered a desert. We decided to leave because the service was irrespecutful.

Everything's fine. Inflation. In Lehel. Excellent service. Good high quality. When it comes to the price-performance ratio, the number of seats must be taken into account. You can't offer anything less than that price.

Einzigartige Pasta und beste Pinza in der Stadt. Meine Pasta mit Shrimps und Spargel was köstlich. Die Pinza mit Sauerteig gibt es in vielen Variationen. Ein schöner Weißer aus Sizilien rundet das Essvergnügen ab.

Der Mitarbeiter sagte, in unfreundlichem Ton, dass heute kein freier Tisch verfügbar wäre. 5 Minuten zuvor schauten wir auf OpenTable und es war zu jeder Zeit buchbar / reservierbar. Das Restaurant war leer bzw 1 Tisch besetzt.

We waited several minutes and no one came. We were then insulted because we sat down. It's a small shop with almost no one there. The only thing we did was sit down. I have never seen such disrespect. The guy shouted at us, said we couldn't sit down. I said we waited and he said anyway. It's just a laugh track. In addition, he was clearly very disrespectful in his gestures and facial expressions, which we openly attribute to the fact that we are Muslims and he deleted his answer to this comment with "even if you are Muslims". The Lord will see the consequences for his religion of hostile behavior and disrespect if one shows that such places are avoided purely out of humanity! If you're Muslim you definitely don't have a place here!

Hervorragende italienische Küche, Wir waren schon öfters Gast bei Guiseppe und seinem sympathischen Team und sind nach wie vor begeistert von der Qualität und der Kreativität der Speisen Cupido nicht nur the only one sondern auch the best one Einfach nur zu Empfehlen!

Dieses kleine Restaurant hat mich restlos begeistert! Ich hatte das Vergnügen, eine Wildfang-Goldbrasse zu genießen, die in jeder Hinsicht perfekt war. Für 37 € absolut angemessen – Qualität und Zubereitung waren herausragend. Der Fisch wurde mir im Ganzen gezeigt und anschließend filetiert serviert – wunderbar saftig und auf den Punkt gegart. Das Ambiente war äußerst angenehm, ruhig und einladend. Besonders hervorzuheben ist der aufmerksame, aber niemals aufdringliche Service. Obwohl wir am Ende noch mindestens eine halbe Stunde alleine im Restaurant saßen, hatten wir zu keinem Moment das Gefühl, dass wir gehen sollten – eine wohltuende Seltenheit. Ein rundum perfektes Erlebnis, das ich sehr gerne wiederholen werde. Absolute Empfehlung!

Wir haben auf der Rückseite vom Gardasee zweimal hier gegessen und waren wieder sehr zufrieden mit der Qualität des Angebotes, dass aber preislich merklich angezogen hat. Der Chef und sein kleines Team bieten eine feine Küche und gehen auch gerne auf Sonderwünsche ein.

Durch den kleinen Gastraum wirkt es , als ob man beim Italiener zu Hause wäre. Toller Service , Essen hervorragend, was will man mehr!

Wir waren an einem Montagabend im Cupido und sind begeistert. Das Lokal ist klein und gemütlich, und man fühlte sich sofort willkommen und wohl. Wir wählten Vorspeise, Hauptgang und Nachspeise, und alles war köstlich und frisch zubereitet. Das Vitello Tonnato mit Pilzen war außergewöhnlich, und die Kalbsleber typisch italienisch. Köstlich war auch der gemischte Nachspeisenteller, und auch der Wein. Der Koch kam persönlich und erkundigte sich, und man gab einen Grappa aus. Wenn wir wieder in München sind, werden wir definitiv wieder ins Cupido gehen!

Nuestra visita a Cupido Arte di Cucina fue memorable. La comida y el vino era excepcional. El ambiente y el servicio nos dejó sentir como si fuéramos huéspedes en la casa de Giuseppe. Fuimos a Alemania y tuvimos una de las grandes comidas italianas que se recuerdan. ¡Ve ahí!

Our visit to Cupido Arte di Cucina was memorable. The food and wine was outstanding. The atmosphere and service left us feeling as if we were guests in Giuseppe's home. We went to Germany and had one of the great Italian meals in memory. Go there!

Wir wollten eine Kleinigkeit essen und haben wegen der guten Bewertungen das Lokal angesteuert, waren aber ganz alleine. Wir wurden sehr herzlich empfangen und wurden vom Essen mehr als positiv überrascht. Tolle Küche, ein Wirt, der uns jeden Wunsch mehr als zufriedenstellend erfüllt hat und qualitativ hochwertiges Essen. Der Nachtisch: ein Traum. Hier hat mir der Koch extra was zusammengestellt, weil ich mich nicht entscheiden konnte. Unbedingt empfehlenswert. Danke für den tollen Mittag. Wir kommen garantiert bald wieder!

Das Cupido hat meine Frau und mich noch nie entäuscht! Vor zwei Wochen haben wir es nach einer sehr stressigen Woche endlich wieder geschafft Essen zu gehen. Das Cupido hat mit seiner Leidenschaft, seinem köstlichen und seiner entspannten Atmosphäre dazu beigetragen, dass wir Kraft vom Alltag schöpfen konnten. Eigentlich sind durch die Bahn alle Gerichte ein Traum, die mit viel Liebe und Können zubereitet werden. Einfach vorbeikommen, die Tageskarte durchprobieren, genießen und glücklich sein. We each had a pizza. I thought she was very good. I felt like I was in Italy👍🏻. The only thing I can complain about is that the buffalo mozzarella that I also ordered didn't come and the price/performance ratio wasn't quite right either. But these are complaints at a high level, all in all I can only recommend it.

Das Cupido ist m.E. schon ein kleiner Geheimtipp in München! Mit rechtzeitiger Reservierung (ein paar Tage vorher) bekommt man eigentlich immer einen Platz. Die Tageskarte ist ein Traum und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Sämtliche Speißen werden mit viel Liebe und Können zubereitet. Insbesondere sind die hausgemachten Pasta-Gerichte einfach hervorragend. Der Inhaber und sein kleines Team sind stets bemüht alle Wünsche zu erfüllen und beherrschen ihr Handwerk vorzüglich. Das Cupido ist für mich das perfekte Restaurant, um im kleinen Kreis mit Freunden, mit dem Partner oder auf ein Date Essen zu gehen! Kommen und selbst überzeugen :) Bon appetito!

Small but nice! Super tasty food, great wine and really personal service. You do have to make a reservation and you sit on the sidewalk, but for those who know real Italy, nothing is more authentic. Definitely recommended

Tripadvisor reviews haven’t let us down before so we walked across town to get to this restaurant which was rated 12 in Munich. What a disappointment. The waiter/owner was grumpy and inattentive. We sat with 5 other table outside on a soulless street (the inside wasn’t any better). However the food was lovely but expensive (tomato and burrata salad was €21!). The food itself is the only reason why I have given this a 3 star.

Nous avons pu réserver une table la veille de notre passage, restaurant situé dans la rue voisine de notre hôtel sur Münich (Unsöld's Factory). La salle est très très petite, pas vraiment de terrasse mais quelques tables alignées sur le trottoir dans une rue très calme et très peu passante. Le gérant a mis du temps à se dérider, a fini par se montrer bien plus sympa et souriant quand j'ai fait l'effort de me mettre à l'Italien! La note était un peu salée, notamment sur la quantité restreinte de pâtes dans l'assiette, mais les saveurs étaient là : des pâtes comme on a pu en manger en Italie l'an passé! Les pinsa sont déjà plus goûteuses et copieuses! Bonne adresse intimiste,donc!

We ordered the 3 course pasta menu with a bottle of wine. All three courses were delicious with nice plating. The wine list was quite short but we found an excellent one which was kept cold for us. Service was professional and friendly by the owner. The place is romantic but small so booking is recommended. Would recommend if you want some great italian food.

Cupido is some of, if not the best Italian food I’ve ever had. I come from NY and NJ, heart of many a first generation Italian restaurant owners and pizza makers.m, and this place is legitimate. We were met with fantastic service while dining outside and taking in Munich. They were accommodating for my mother-in-laws dietary restrictions, well pieces, and most of all delicious! If you’re in the mood for Italian in Munich, this is your place.

Excellent yet inconspicuous Italian restaurant on Bruderstrasse almost directly opposite the Haus der Kunst. We were here a long time ago and discovered it for ourselves today. Food outstanding, service very reserved but friendly. There are few places outside and in summer they are definitely available. Prices are typical for Lehel, but justified in this case. We'd love to come back.

The best of Italian fine cuisine with the best service, near the Eisbach surfers and Haus der Kunst. For us it's always a special evening having dinner at Cupido. It's a little corner of paradise on earth. Giuseppe is a good soul. Trust his recommendations.

Ich habe einen Tisch für 2 Personen gebucht, um den Geburtstag meiner Frau zu feiern. Ich habe eine Bestätigung meiner Buchung erhalten. Als ich jedoch im Restaurant ankam, war es geschlossen und es gab keinen Hinweis. Erst als ich das Restaurant anrief, teilte mir ein Anrufbeantworter mit, dass das Restaurant über Ostern geschlossen sei. Meine Frau hat ihren Geburtstag nicht gefeiert, da wir in keinem anderen Restaurant in der Umgebung einen Tisch finden konnten.
