Kleines süßes Restaurant. Ich war hier zu Lunch es gab leckeres Essen und die Bedienung war sehr nett und freundlich zu uns.

Der Service und die Küche sind fantastisch – die besten, die ich seit Langem erlebt habe, vor allem die Atmosphäre ist super gemütlich und persönlich.

Ich war jetzt schon mehrfach im Piccolo Principe und bin jedes Mal aufs Neue begeistert. Man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an herzlich willkommen, der Service ist aufmerksam und persönlich. Das Essen ist hervorragend – frisch, authentisch und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Besonders hervorheben möchte ich die großartige italienische Weinauswahl. Ob ein hervorragender Hauswein oder spannende Entdeckungen von kleinen italienischen Winzern – hier findet jeder Weinliebhaber etwas Passendes. Man merkt, dass die Auswahl mit viel Fachwissen und Leidenschaft zusammengestellt wurde. Die familiäre Atmosphäre, das ausgezeichnete Essen und die tollen Weine machen jeden Besuch zu einem kleinen Kurzurlaub in Italien. Großes Kompliment an die herzliche Familie, die das Bistrot mit der besten Qualität führt. Bravi! Ein weiterer (von sehr vielen) wunderschöner Abend im Piccolo Principe, das bei weitem beste Restaurant in München. Die Nachtische sind ein wahrer Genuss, genau so wie das Ambiente! Sehr gemütliches Ambiente, superfreundliches Personal, köstliches Essen! Wenn Sie einen wunderschönen Abend verbringen möchten, kann ich dieses Restaurant wärmstens empfehlen! Und die Oliven!! Die waren ganz anders als die, die ich bisher gegessen habe :)

Update Mai 2026: Die Preise haben inzwischen deutlich angezogen und das Essen war zwar gut, aber längst nicht mehr so außergewöhnlich wie früher. Was mich allerdings endgültig dazu bringt, dieses Restaurant nicht mehr zu besuchen, war die Situation beim Bezahlen. Wir hatten zu zweit eine Rechnung von rund 75 € und hatten leider nicht genug Bargeld dabei. Uns wurde gesagt, dass ausschließlich Bargeld und höchstens EC-Karte akzeptiert werden – weder ich noch mein Besuch aus London hatten jedoch eine EC-Karte dabei. Statt uns einfach mit Kreditkarte zahlen zu lassen, wurden wir ernsthaft zu einem Geldautomaten hinter der Kreuzung auf der anderen Straßenseite zu gehen (mehrere Minuten hin und zurück). Der Automat war defekt. Danach bin ich noch extra zur Tankstelle gelaufen, wo ebenfalls kein Geldabheben möglich war. Als ich schließlich zurückkam und die ganze Situation schilderte, bat ich erneut darum, einfach mit Kreditkarte zahlen zu dürfen. Die Antwort war zunächst: „Eigentlich geht das nicht.“ Auf meine Nachfrage, ob es technisch möglich sei, und das man das erwarten könne bei einem solchen Betrag kam lediglich, dass sie das einfach nicht gerne so handhaben. Erst nachdem ich klar gemacht habe, dass ich jetzt sicher nicht noch weiter durch die Gegend laufen werde, um dem Restaurant Bargeld hinterherzutragen, wurde die Kreditkarte plötzlich doch akzeptiert. Und genau dieses Verhalten finde ich völlig daneben. Wir sprechen hier nicht von einem Dönerladen oder einem Kiosk, sondern von einem gehobenen Restaurant. Einen zahlenden Gast wegen einer simplen Kartenzahlung auf eine kleine Bargeld-Odyssee zu schicken, ist schlicht unprofessionell und mir ist die Argumentation mit Kreditkartengebühren bei solchen Preis ohnehin egal. Ebenso egal ist mir, dass anscheinend irgendwo steht, dass Kreditkarten nicht akzeptiert werden; das ist ein Muss in einem solchen Restaurant genauso wie eine Toilette mit fließend Wasser und Seife ein Muss ist. Nie wieder. Mir war es peinlich, meinem Gast zu erklären, worum es hier eigentlich im Kern geht. Alte Bewertung: Wow! Ich möchte dieses Restaurant gar nicht zu sehr empfehlen, da es sonst kein Geheimtipp mehr ist, aber das Essen ist köstlich, die Qualität sehr gut und die Gastgeber absolut in ihrem Element und freundlich! Absolute 5 Sterne!

Nach 5 Jahren in München entdeckt und Liebe auf den ersten Bissen! Einfach super gutes italienisches Essen. Die Pizza ist lecker, das Gemüse knackig und frisch ... Nicht nur etwas für kleine Prinzen!

Ich hatte einen rundum gelungenen Besuch in diesem Restaurant. Das Essen war hervorragend – geschmacklich auf höchstem Niveau und liebevoll angerichtet. Besonders der Wein hat perfekt dazu gepasst und das Erlebnis abgerundet. Das Personal war ausgesprochen freundlich, aufmerksam und zuvorkommend, ohne aufdringlich zu wirken. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen und bestens betreut. Insgesamt ein absolut empfehlenswertes Restaurant – ich komme sehr gerne wieder! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Ein gemütliches und warmes Lokal mit wirklich köstlichem Essen. Ich gehe hier regelmäßig in der Mittagspause essen, um die frisch zubereiteten Gerichte zu genießen. Die Gerichte der Standardkarte sind immer hervorragend, und auch die Tageskarte enttäuscht nie. Es fasziniert mich immer wieder, wie die verschiedenen Zutaten zu einem so harmonischen Geschmackserlebnis verschmelzen. Absolut empfehlenswert! 👌

Wir haben dieses charmante italienische Restaurant am Valentinstag besucht und es war ein wirklich fantastisches Erlebnis. Das Essen war außergewöhnlich – buchstäblich jedes Gericht, das wir bestellt haben, hat hervorragend geschmeckt. Man merkt, dass mit viel Liebe gekocht wird. Das Personal hat uns außerdem exzellente Weinempfehlungen gegeben, die perfekt zum Essen passten. Darüber hinaus war der Service herzlich und aufmerksam, und die Atmosphäre war gemütlich und einladend. Ich schätze Restaurants wie dieses besonders, die nicht übermäßig kommerziell oder protzig sind, sondern authentisch und herzlich wirken. Da es sich um einen Familienbetrieb handelt, der seit 1992 zu München gehört, spürt man die Geschichte und die Tradition, die dahinterstecken. Ein rundum wunderbares kulinarisches Erlebnis, und ich werde ganz sicher wiederkommen.

Ein kleines, elegantes italienisches Restaurant mit tollem Ambiente, das Pizza, Pasta und mehr serviert. Die Speisekarte bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas, ohne dabei überladen zu wirken. Mit der passenden Weinbegleitung, die Ihnen am besten vom Servicepersonal oder dem Inhaber – beides Experten auf ihrem Gebiet – empfohlen wird, ist ein gelungener Abend garantiert. Vielen Dank.

Was für ein gemütliches Plätzchen! Es ist so unaufdringlich und ein wunderbarer Kontrast zu vielen anderen italienischen Restaurants in München. Man fühlt sich wie zu Hause bei der Familie. Das Essen ist von höchster Qualität und die Weinauswahl erstklassig. Ich war überwältigt von der schlichten Perfektion. Absolut empfehlenswert!

We had a four-course dinner with a wine tasting from Ricasoli on November 15th. It was a perfect evening all around. The food, wine, ambiance, and service were all first-class. Service was disappointing. We felt rushed to order and hurried to leave toward the end of our time slot. The waiter even took my empty glass out of my hand the moment I finished it. Overall, the experience felt pressured rather than welcoming.

Unfortunately, a mistake on our part. We should have done our research beforehand. We were looking for an Italian restaurant and were expecting pizza and pasta. This is more of a fine dining experience. The menu consists mostly of antipasti. Very good quality, but also correspondingly expensive. Four small pieces of bruschetta or a plate of tomatoes and buffalo mozzarella for €16 each. A main course was also completely forgotten. This consisted of pasta al arrabiata, which didn't look at all like the high-quality antipasti. Unfortunately, it looked like ready-made pasta in a ready-made sauce with a handful of pepperoni. Luckily, it was still tasty.

Despite the friendly service, I was unfortunately disappointed. Firstly, the primo (pasta) and the secondo (fish platter) were served at the same time, even though we had agreed otherwise. Secondly, I was charged €26.90 for the antipasti (small plate with pickled vegetables). Since it was a birthday dinner, I didn't want to cause a bad atmosphere, so I tipped instead of complaining. Overall, I was very disappointed. The fact that things not listed on the menu are subsequently charged at a much higher rate reminded me of tourist traps in Italy. The restaurant really didn't need to be that way. We'll probably avoid it in the future.

I went there with my girlfriend for her birthday, and we received a very warm welcome and service! The chef was very attentive and kept checking to see if everything was okay. The food and the wine recommendation—needless to say—were a solid ten out of ten! Whether it's value for money or the ambiance, if you're looking for truly authentic Italian food in a lovely neighborhood, then this is the place for you☺️ I would come back anytime and thank you for the lovely evening!

Ich habe meinen Geburtstag zu sechst, mit Familie und Freunden, im Il Piccolo Principe gefeiert. Die Rechnung betrug 440,- € + das Essen war gut, der Service aufmerksam, die Atmosphäre im Lokal nett, allerdings ist es etwas laut. - Das wir meinen Geburtstag feiertern war offensichtlich, hatte dies bei der Tischreservierung bereits erwähnt. Von Seiten des Lokals erfolgte keinerlei Geste, kein " Buon compleanno", Kerze o.ä.. - der "Averna" wurde mit dem Messbecher abgemessen - Bei der Bezahlung mit EC Karte wurde ich gebeten das Trinkgeld doch bitte in bar zu geben. Fazit: nettes Lokal, gutes Essen, aber ohne Charme, hier geht es schlichtweg um Umsatz. Das nächste Mal gehen wir wieder zu einem aderen guten Intaliener, das "Roma" in der Dom Perdo Straße.

I can only agree with the other positive reviews - I've eaten there several times - on Saturday I picked up appetizer platters for my mother's 90th birthday party - everything was heavenly - I cook a lot myself - you really can't do it better - thank you for everything, all the guests loved your food.

This lovely, cozy Italian place was recommended to us by another Italian friend. The food is excellent and as it should be— simple, fresh ingredients, made really well. Everyone was very friendly and kind, and we are excited about coming back here again next time we’re in Munich. I don’t think there’s anything you could order that isn’t delicious. You can only pay with cash or local (German) debit cards here, but the owner was kind enough to let us use our American debit cards. There is also an ATM nearby, so next time we will come prepared with cash. Thank you for a wonderful meal!

(If I could give less than one star, I would) I had high hopes for Piccolo Principe in Munich, but it was a total disappointment. The location is on a noisy corner, which really takes away from any chance of a peaceful meal. But the real issue? The staff. The waiter was moody and unapproachable, making us feel unwelcome from the start. And the owner? Absolutely unbearable. He clearly thinks he can afford to bully his guests rather than treat them with respect. I always thought Italians were known for being warm and friendly, but this place was the exact opposite. Would not recommend!

For me it's absolutely the best Italian restaurant in Munich - everything is just right here: service, ambience, food & wine. Here emphasis is placed on quality and authenticity. The service is always first class. The staff is always extremely friendly, attentive and always makes sure that nothing is missing. The food is always sensational. There is a counter with fresh, delicious antipasti. The tiramisu is also simply outstanding. Overall, a wonderful restaurant that I can highly recommend to everyone. Italian cuisine is lived here with heart and passion.

By far the best Italian in Munich!!! I always eat the mixed starter platter from the display case with pizza bread and then a penne arrabiata. Everything is super fresh and prepared with a lot of love. The service is simply great and you can feel that the cooking here is done with a lot of love and motivation.

The ambience of this place is very nice but on a busy evening it can get very loud. We were a group of 8 people and there was just enough space, a few of us just had to sit a little more comfortably. The food was very tasty and of top quality but I think the side dishes could be a bit more. Service was simply fantastic, the nice ladies gave us very careful advice and service in the evening. Overall it's a great restaurant.

Das Vitello Tonnato zur Vorspeise, war das Beste, das ich gegessen habe. Das Lokal ist sehr klein und jeder Platz war besetzt, trotzdem war der Service absolut super.
