Wonderful family run place in the center of Hamburg. Business started already in 1905. Today Franca(4th. generation) runs the restaurant and makes a wonderful host.

Heerlijk gegeten en vriendelijke bediening. Na er diverse keren langs gelopen te zijn en ons af te vragen waarom zou je daar gaan eten , het toch een kans gegeven . Aan de buitenkant denk je waarschijnlijk , dit kan niks zijn , maar echte aanrader !

We were 21 people and have pre ordered the menu, we were not disappointed. The food and atmosphere was so good and it is definitely a place i would visit again next time I'm in Hamburg

Eine nette, solide Speisenauswahl. Das Bruschetta vorweg schon etwas zu ölig. Die Fischgerichte nicht besonders inspiriert angerichtet, Beilagen exklusive. Am Ende beschließt man, der Besuch hat keinen Wiederholungswert.

Trotz Reservierung um 19 Uhr mussten wir ca. 20 Min. darauf warten von Franca Cuneo einen Tisch zugewiesen zu bekommen, nicht ohne vorher von ihr als Lügner beschimpft zu werden, da wir bei unserer Beschwerde über die Wartezeit nicht die ganz genaue Minutenzahl sagten. Ihre schlechte Laune zog sich weiter durch den Abend, ich habe Verständnis für Stress in der Gastronomie, aber es war nicht das erste Mal und obwohl ich seit 30 Jahren dort in unregelmäßigen Abständen esse und gerne Freunde von Ausserhalb dort hinführe, hat es mir nun gereicht. Frau Cuneo kann sich ihr unprofessionelles Verhalten leisten, der Laden wird immer voll. Aber es gibt noch einige richtig gute italienische Restaurants in Hamburg.

Contrary to expectations, the food was mediocre, the ambience in the “winter garden” was terrible, the service was good. After an honest answer to the question of whether it was to our satisfaction, this criticism was not accepted. Price/performance doesn't fit at all. Tourist hotspot. No recommendation! A pity.

A real Italian and definitely worth a visit.

We had dinner at Cuneo today. The entire staff was very nice and attentive. The atmosphere was cozy and the food was great! We can only recommend :)

Unfortunately we were very cramped and it was quite loud. But the food was delicious and the service was very friendly.

Nice restaurant in the middle of St. Pauli. As soon as you enter the Cuneo, you are in Italy. As a starter we had the minestrone, which was excellent. Parmesan and bread were served with it. For main courses we chose the tortellini alla panna and the homemade ravioli alla zia rosa. Both a poem. At the end there was a very tasty tiramisu. We really liked the ambience of the restaurant, the attentive service and felt comfortable. We'd love to come back!

My wife and I had dinner there on Friday evening. When we entered the restaurant and received a warm welcome, we as Italy fans immediately felt welcome and like we were in Italy. The ambience exudes a special charm and contributes to the Italian character. Service and friendliness are excellent and the recommended wines were also perfect. Unfortunately the food, we had fish variations from the grill, didn't completely convince us. We would have liked more here in terms of appearance and taste. Since we were otherwise very satisfied with the service, friendliness and ambience, we will definitely visit the Cuneo again during one of our numerous stays in Hamburg and perhaps be impressed by the food.

Waren zum ersten Mal hier und es hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Das Essen ist sehr gut, aber noch angemessen 😉. Halt Lage, Lage, Lage. Der Service war gut bis sehr gut, leidet bei zunehmenden Gästen etwas (dann sollte man etwas Zeit einplanen) wie auch das Ambiente, da es dann doch sehr wuselig wird. Nichtsdestotrotz würden wir hier wieder Essen. Reservieren m.E. auf jeden Fall erforderlich.

Were here for the first time and we really liked it. The food is very good, but still adequate 😉. Stop location, location, location. The service was good to very good, but suffers a bit as the number of guests increases (then you should allow some time) as does the ambience, as it then becomes very busy. Nevertheless, we would eat here again. In my opinion, reservations are definitely required.

It was quite nice, very crowded, but the food was really good. It bothered me a little that it came at such a rush, as if I were in a fast food restaurant. We left soon afterwards to be able to sit somewhere less noisy and hectic but more comfortable.

Tolles Ambiente, man fühlt sich fast wie in Italien. Allerdings sind die Speisen nur durchschnittlich. Preis-/Leistung auch nur durchschnittlich, aber heutzutage eher schwierig in sehr vielen Restaurants. Wegen netten Personal und Ambiente trotzdem 4 Punkte.

The oldest and one of the best Italians in Hamburg. The Cuneo is small and fine and has absolute cult charm with its colorful furnishings. The food was very tasty and the service was very attentive. We had various starters, from vitello tonnato & carpaccio to grilled calamari, including pasta with salsiccia in tomato sauce as a main course and, to round it off, a dessert variation of tiramisu, crème brûlée and panna cotta. All in all a successful evening in a rustic atmosphere!

Went to Hamburg's oldest Italian restaurant with really high expectations. The food (not cheap) was okay, but nothing more. The service was also okay and friendly. The location is supposed to be iconic, but it didn't really convince us. In the end it's all a matter of taste. For us, price and performance do not match here. You can find it better in Hamburg.

Von aussen unscheinbar kaum als Restaurant zu erkennen. An der Ecke die Herbertstrasse da haben wir erst kurz überlegt. Innen himmlisch gemütlich. Wir wurden herzlich empfangen und zu anderen Gästen platziert. Man kam sofort ins plaudern und es wurde ein toller Abend. Die selbst gemachten Ravioli sind ein Traum. Vor weg gab es Bruschetta und Brot vom Haus. Man fühlt sich wie in Italien. Wir werden bei jedem Besuch in Hamburg hier wieder Essen.

A must for Hamburg, the history alone is worth a visit, but the food is also very good! Clear recommendation!

Only good point to mention is the atmosphere. Food in total (antipasto, primo, secondo) simply bad (fish dry, liver burnt, ravioli uninspiring - to be polite), wine completely overpriced. Don‘t go.

The ambience is very authentic with 1900s flair. The service was very attentive and quick. The food didn't convince me (minestrone cooked too long, chicken unfortunately very dry.) The wine (Montepulciano) was good. Overall too expensive for the quality of the food.

Frankly overrated. As soon as you walked in, it was clear that you had better be a regular customer/family/friend there. We were first left standing for an in-depth greeting. Service is friendly, but could be much more attentive. We sat on dry land for the last half hour. The food is solid, but not a highlight. The entertainment receipt and receipt were handwritten, which seems strange, or rather it wasn't a real entertainment receipt. Conclusion: You can do Hamburg's cult Italian, but you don't have to. Hamburg offers much better.

The oldest Italian restaurant in Hamburg and one of the best restaurants in the city. It's not without reason that you have to make a reservation well in advance. The waiters do their job with passion and remain calm despite all the stress. The food is first class across the board, be it the fresh, spicy bread or the excellent pasta. Meat and fish are also great. The food is quite expensive, but justified by the high quality.

Unfortunately the place was full. We spontaneously asked for space. It's pure St. Pauli feeling. From the outside you wonder what is supposed to be hidden there. And you come in and immediately want to stay. Could be a film set. Unfortunately I can't say anything about the food. Everyone was super friendly. The next time we visit Hamburg we will make a reservation in advance to make up for it.

What a great night in Cuneo’s. Best thing we did was booking this restaurant. Queue of about 20 outside when we arrived. We walked up to the front only to find they were all booked in!Seated in about 10 minutes and offered an amuse bouche which was lovely. Great starters:goat’s cheese salad and bruschetta. Mains were a bacon pasta and saltimbocca. Best we have ever eaten. Beware the large portions. Athmosphere was super with 2 large family groups each side of us. We had a great night and the service was amazing. Don’t pass this place.

Great food, great conditions and great ambience. For me, a trip to Hamburg requires the Cuneo :).

We were at the Cuneo before a play. We had a mixed fish platter for 24 euros. Unfortunately only a lot of mussels, some octopus salad and a shrimp. Then paillard, unfortunately without any side dishes and saltimbocca. The best was the panacotta. Better choose noodles.

Wir kamen abends um 23 Uhr, nach einer Abendveranstaltung. Der Abend war vorher komplett ausgebucht, aber zu dieser Zeit bekamen wir einen Tisch, um noch ein Dessert zu essen und etwas zu trinken. Das Restaurant war noch gefüllt und die Stimmung war gut. Die Kellner waren zwar wortkarg, aber freundlich. Die Desserts waren köstlich und wir werden sicher wiederkommen, dieses Mal langfristig geplant und mit Reservierung.

Excellent Italian restaurant - and I married an Italian so I should know. The food was delicious and plentiful (big portions). The service attentive. I should flag if you are looking for a romantic or quiet spot - this is not it. The tables are jam packed next to each other and there is boisterous laughter - just like Nona's house. Highly recommend.

Von außen unscheinbar, aber sobald man Hereintritt ist man in Italien. Das Ambiente wunderbar mit alten Bildern. Überall spiegelt sich die Familientradition wieder. Sehr freundliches Personal und hervorragendes Essen. Wir würden immer gerne wiederkommen.

Wir sind zufällig auf den Laden gestoßen, von außen sehr unscheinbar aber von innen überwältigend. Echt zum Weiterempfehlen!

Wir waren schon mehrmals in diesem Resturante und waren jedesmal begeistert. Eine der leckersten Pizzen und Bolognesen, welche wir je gegessen haben. Das Ambiente und das Essen sind einfach ne 10/10.Eine sehr lange Resturante-Geschichte, die man beim Eintreten durch die unscheinbare Außenfassade sofort fühlt. Ganz bezauberndes Resturante!!

Cuneo ist der absolute Wahnsinn. Geht hin und genießt es. Wer italienischen Flair in Hamburg erleben will, ist dort perfekt aufgehoben.

Personal sind freundlich. Ich hab Lasagne bestellt aber die Portionen fand ich allgemein eher klein.Zu diesem Preis kann man ein besseres Restaurant finden. Aber trotzdem war die Erfahrung schön. Es gibt übrigens keine Pizza.

Aan de buitenkant zie je het er niet vanaf maar achter de deur stap je een ware verrassing binnen. Heerlijk gegeten, snelle en vriendelijke service. Echte aanrader!

Kleines Lokal am Kiez, familiär... war lecker...

Die großen Ravioli waren nur aufgewärmt. Die eine Hälfte war kalt, die andere lauwarm. Sowas geht gar nicht in so einem Kultrestaurant. Am Nebentisch das gleiche. Zu teuer. Wir kommen nicht wieder.

Bin ich bisschen enttäuscht von den Fisch !! Keine Beilagen dabei nur Fisch 🐟

Der angeblich älteste Italiener in Deutschland. Kann man mach, muss man nicht machen. Wer einen gemütlichen Abend verbringen möchte ist hier falsch! Wer in Anlehnung an den Stadtteil typische Atmosphäre erleben möchte und mitten im Geschehen sein möchte ist hier absolut richt! Essen ist gut! Fischplatte war lecker und Calamarituben als Vorspeise auch. Antipasti vom Büfett stimmt Preis-/Leistung nicht. Pasta i.O. wenn auch die zweite Hälfte der Portion nicht mehr al dente war. Service, von Beginn an freundlich, aufmerksam und organisiert. Super Ausgangspunkt für weitere Unternehmungen auf der Reeperbahn

Cozy, quaint little authentic Italian spot with really yummy food and friendly, capable service. After 5 days in Hamburg it was a welcome change-up to have some amazing Italian food and wine. Reasonable pricing ($100 for dinner for two with bottle of wine and tip), right in the heart of the bar district, St. Pauli’s.

Super lecker Essen in gemütlicher familiärer Atmosphäre.

Der Service war super, das Personal sehr zuvorkommend. Die Speisekarte war überschaubar, diverse Vorspeisen, 5-6 Nudelgerichte, Steaks, leider keine Pizza… Vorab gab es einen Gruß aus der Küche. Das Essen war schmackhaft, die Portionen nicht zu klein sodass wir beide satt wurden.

Das Ambiente und das freundliche Personal hat schon beim Betreten sehr viel Freude auf gute, italienische Pasta ausgelöst. Doch letztlich war es leider eine Enttäuschung. Unsere Servicekraft war vermutlich neu und grundsätzlich sehr bemüht, aber eben auch etwas überfordert. Das Essen war leider nur „geht so“. Und weder geschmacklich überzeugend oder gut angerichtet. Die Erwartungen wurden leider hier nicht erfüllt.

Restaurant ist uns empfohlen worden, authentische ital. Küche, Preis/Leistung echt okay, Flaschenwein Lugana lecker und nicht zu teuer, Chefin und Personal nett und flott, wenn wir nochmal in HH sind, kommen wir gerne wieder!!!!!!

Basic, but good Italian place next to Reeperbahn. We would normally not have entered the place as the area is what you would expect from Reeperbahn, but our local friends recommended it … and we were not disappointed. Recommended !

So ganz spontan und heimlich einfach hingesetzt, wurden wir trotz allem richtig nett und herzlich bedient. Das Essen war mega lecker und von der Menge absolut seine Preis wert!!! Hätte ich persönlich nie erwartet. Hab sogar etwas bekommen was nicht auf der Karte stand . Das Ambiente ist nichts mein Fall, aber tatsächlich eher Zweitrangig. In diesem Sinne, es lohnt sich allemal. Wenn ich wieder mal hier bin, weiß ich wo essen gehe . TOP

Been here a couple of times, food is always great and the atmosphere is always fun. Good experience in the Reeperbahn without all the craziness.
