The prices are high, generally above average... but the food is excellent.

We eat Vietnamese food very often and were passing through here. It was packed, but we still managed to get a table. The staff was very friendly and efficient, and the food arrived quickly. Unfortunately, it didn't have much in common with what we know as Vietnamese cuisine. The mango salad tasted only of a rather "German" dressing, so you couldn't taste the mango at all. The typical lime fish sauce was completely missing. The bowl wasn't very tasty either; everything was drenched in heavy sauces, far too much for our taste. However, after our well-intentioned criticism, the owner was very friendly and explained that most customers prefer a lot of sauce. The dishes aren't exactly cheap either, not even the sushi.

Today we celebrated my son's birthday at the Cu Thoc restaurant in Wermelskirchen – and it was the perfect choice! Everything delighted us: the beautiful presentation of the dishes, the impeccable service, and the lovely surprise for my son. We felt completely at ease and will definitely be back. 10/10 – highly recommended!

The food is delicious, and the staff is very friendly and plentiful. The room gets very hot quickly, so you have to open the window yourself if you're sitting by the window. After your first drink, you're not immediately offered another.

We were very disappointed. As fans of Vietnamese cuisine, we drove extra kilometers to eat here, lured by the many positive reviews. The duck, at a hefty €19.90, could be had at any Asian takeaway. The beef with rice noodles consisted mainly of cheap noodles and far too little beef, with far too little sauce that was also bland. There was hardly any taste of the lemongrass advertised on the menu. Almost €17 for this is anything but good value. The wonton "soup" contained hardly any broth at all and tasted like hot water. Only the fried spring rolls and lassi were tasty. On the plus side, the waiter was very quick and child-friendly. But authentic Vietnamese cuisine is something else entirely! Trying to make it look fancy with some vegetable garnish (parsley?!) didn't help. Overall, a disappointment.

A great restaurant with several private seating areas. This makes the place feel cozy and inviting. The food is outstanding, and the service is pleasantly unobtrusive and attentive. All dishes can be complemented with various meat options, or vegetarian options are available. The drinks menu is expanded to include homemade lemonades and Asian specialties.

The food may look delicious and everything, but the service is the worst. We arrived at 6:30 p.m. and were told the restaurant was full, which is understandable, but there were eight empty tables! I explained to the waitress that it's fall, all the restaurants are closed, and it was raining, so we weren't staying long or ordering a bottle of wine. They also told us there was no room. Well, it's a matter of politeness and empathy. To be defined as a good restaurant, it's not just about having good food; it's about the entire experience, from the moment you walk through the door.

My salmon bowl was wonderful, slightly spicy, perfectly balanced, and a visual delight. Here, attention is paid to freshness, quality, and beautiful presentation. Best sushi in the Bergisches Land

First, the positives: Very good sushi, beautifully presented, excellent quality, and very friendly service. Highly recommended. Large selection of sushi, the main courses are varied, and vegetarians are not left out either. The prices are commensurate with the quality and absolutely justified. Unfortunately, it's a small restaurant you'd walk right past, and doesn't look particularly distinctive from the outside. Quite cozy inside, but the tables are very close together, so your neighbor is guaranteed to hear every word you hear.

Beautiful surroundings in Wermelskirchen. You can sit inside or outside. The prices seem reasonable, and the service is fast and friendly. Personally, I don't like the chairs, but there are seats with padded benches. You can usually find free parking in Wermelskirchen.

I'm ONLY reviewing the dish I inevitably ordered. As a fan of "duck with classic peanut sauce," I was disappointed—it doesn't even exist here. Instead, I could only order duck with a runny peanut-coconut sauce, as runny as a soup, with regular potatoes and sweet potatoes thrown in. (What are they doing there when there's rice on the side?) Furthermore, there were vegetables (broccoli and bell peppers) in the "soup" that were supposed to be crunchy or al dente, but were rather hard as rock. Conclusion: If you like classic Chinese dishes, this is the wrong place. Those who prefer something more "experimental" should judge for themselves.

We called quite spontaneously half an hour in advance and managed to get a table for five people. We ordered two appetizers and various main courses, including sushi and sashimi. The staff is friendly, but could be a bit more attentive. The food is absolutely solid, but not exactly "wow!". The salmon bowl was delicious, but not what we expected. The bowl pictures are a bit misleading. The ambiance is a bit dated, and the lighting isn't great. Overall, though, it's still pretty good. Clean restrooms! 👍

The food was a real highlight! Each course was perfectly seasoned, freshly prepared, and beautifully presented. The selection of drinks is also top-notch, from specialty wines to creative cocktails. The price-performance ratio is absolutely fair for the quality you get here. We will definitely be back and can highly recommend this restaurant to everyone!

Good sushi. It was our first time there. We'd gladly return. The menu is exactly the same as An Thoc in Radevormwald.

Once again... excellent food. The soup to start with, no matter which one you choose, was all incredibly well-balanced in flavor, fresh vegetables... The chicken curry, buttery and delicious... unbelievable... The sparkling wine to start with, the wines, excellent. We'll be back.

He looked after us as if we were king and queen on a sushi throne. The drinks? Wow! I'm pretty sure a tear of emotion rolled down my cheek with the first sip. Fresh, lovingly mixed, with a touch of magic and an aftertaste of "I never want this to end." And then the ambiance! You feel like you're in a dream of bamboo, fragrance, and bliss. Time stood still. Our hearts felt light. And our stomachs—blissfully full. We didn't just leave feeling full. We were inspired. Touched. And deeply grateful. Cu Thoc – you are not just a restaurant. You are a feeling. A place where you can taste life. We'll be back. Again and again. And bring everyone we love with us. "A little over-the-top, but it was delicious."

Very good Vietnamese food. The service is excellent and very friendly and attentive without being intrusive. The outdoor seating is also very comfortable. The only minor complaint I have is the portion size. I could have eaten the main course twice, because it really wasn't enough. Unfortunately, my wife wasn't full either. Perhaps the restaurant can work on that. Then it would be perfect, and the fifth star would be well deserved!

First, the worst. I had made an appointment by phone for 5 p.m. and was told twice that we could only get a table until 7 p.m. Making a reservation by phone was very difficult due to communication problems. Even though I had announced that I had a dog, it seemed very difficult to offer us a table, and then we had to move again anyway. We were also told at least three times that our table was only reserved until 7 p.m. Even though there weren't many guests yet, the three employees seemed to be in a state of panic and hecticness that was completely incomprehensible. They also barely gave us time to study the menu. Then I had the appetizer, and I honestly admit, I was more than pleasantly surprised. I wasn't expecting such a perfect performance. And then came the main course. A platter for two people with artificial fog!!!! The visuals were stunning! Truly professional and lovingly presented. There was nothing worthy of criticism. Perhaps the wasabi could have been arranged in the shape of florets, as I've experienced elsewhere. Everything was perfect! The salmon was beautifully presented, the sushi perfectly rolled, and perfectly presented on the slate board. The salad was beautifully tied together in portions. Everything was simply superb. The fact that I gave it the highest possible score despite what I considered to be a very negative service from one person proves that the food was simply perfect. I will soon be willing to make the 50-minute journey again to enjoy another delicious meal at Marktplatz number 15... A big thank you to the chef. Best regards, Martin.

The food was incredibly delicious! The starter, main course, and sushi (all vegan). The house lemonade was also delicious. The staff were all friendly and attentive. The only downside is the ambiance; it's a bit cramped and therefore a bit hectic, so you have to be lucky with a seat, then it's not so bad. It's better to reserve a table.

The food was very good and the service at the table too. What was very disturbing was that I think the boss constantly came to the table and interrupted our conversations and asked how long we would be staying. We had agreed on a fixed time in advance, which was far from being reached. That was very unpleasant for us. It's a shame. We won't go there again.

Bad service! We arrived with one more person than advertised. Normally, this isn't a problem, but unfortunately, it was here. The owner sent us home and made absolutely no effort to find a solution. However, there was an option to make room for one more person.

The food here is delicious, beautifully presented, and there are many vegetarian dishes to choose from. The service is friendly, and the food arrives fairly quickly. It's always quite busy here. If you're lucky, the other guests act as if they weren't alone, so you can have a decent conversation.

Wow. That was the first thing I thought about the next day when I thought back to the evening. Not only that I was there with lovely people, but also about the food. I've eaten quite a bit of sushi in my life, and the sushi you get here is among my top three. The appetizer, of which I don't have a photo, was also excellent, and the people I was with praised their food. Whether it was the miso soup, the mango salad, or the Thai curry with crispy fried chicken, I'd happily drive the 40 minutes back here again to eat the delicious sushi. The atmosphere was also very nice, and the service was very friendly and even explained to us what to look for when drinking Vietnamese coffee. It was also different from the German version and also very tasty.
