Overall an average performance. Everyone enjoyed it, but it wasn't seasoned enough for everyone who ate it. A dish that was advertised as slightly spicy was actually almost unseasoned. The atmosphere is nice, but smaller than it appears in the pictures on the homepage. The staff was friendly.

We ordered the vegan Buddha curry and asked for tofu instead of saitan. We were then advised to try the other curry, but it was with milk. We then specifically asked for a vegan curry with tofu. Either this was not understood or people thought “we wouldn’t notice it anyway”. When we ate we were unsure about the taste, and an hour later we were greeted by intolerance. On the one hand, it is an impertinence to unknowingly present dairy products to a vegan, and on the other hand, it borders on bodily harm if you have intolerances or allergies. We can't eat Saitan and can't tolerate dairy products, so the order was "not even" because "we're just vegans".... Especially since we chose the restaurant because it offers so many vegan dishes. The curry didn't even taste like curry but like coconut milk with chili oil and milk... curry paste didn't even taste like it.

Very tasty and fresh! Everything you need is there for adults and children. Very nice staff and fair prices. Gladly again!

The ambience is very simple, but the food and service are great. Everyone is incredibly friendly and helpful, and they are happy to accommodate any special requests. The sushi is freshly made and the fish is of excellent quality. It is advisable to reserve in advance, especially in the evenings and on weekends.

The food is varied and delicious. Everything fresh. The boss himself is in the kitchen. A different type of Asian cuisine in terms of taste. Recommended and afterwards you can go to Café wild opposite for a confectionery or an ice cream...

An absolute top restaurant! Extremely delicious food, perfect service and very chic design. In summer you can eat on the terrace at the back or at the front (but it's right on the street). You can order by phone and then pick it up; They even call back when it's busy! And the process of serving a sushi platter is absolutely lovely! I can only recommend.

It's a shame, things didn't go so well for us. Incredibly loud and waited a long time for the food (which was incredibly tasty). When I asked when we could expect the food (I had placed the order about 5 minutes later than the person accompanying me) the only response was "Yes, it'll be right away, you didn't let us know until so late" - ergo: it was my fault. Not exactly the fine kind. The sushi is really good and really stands out from other places, but the service can be improved

I picked up food. The atmosphere is nice, the staff is super nice. The food was ok, but we found that the sushi rice tasted very neutral. In our opinion, not enough sushi vinegar. But we'll definitely go there again in the summer because there's nice seating outside. Now, 4 months later, I ordered food again and picked it up. It was super tasty, the fish was excellent. I highly recommend it. Maybe we just got the wrong day last time.

were there spontaneously in pairs. We still got a spot even though it was very fully booked, even on a Tuesday evening. I ate a miso soup with tofu for €5.5 and for the main course a rice dish Cu Thoc Special Wok with duck for €18.5. Both dishes were super good and also well seasoned and hot. Food came quickly despite the full house. We will be back.

We were there on a Sunday early afternoon, without a reservation, no problem. There is a very large selection of Vietnamese and other Asian dishes, it was difficult to choose. The food was excellent, the waiting time was absolutely acceptable, the quantity was just right for us, especially since there weren't mountains of rice or pasta that would never be eaten to make the plate look fuller, the quantity was absolutely appropriate. The taste was great, no two dishes tasted the same, which suggests to us that they don't work with glutamate, but rather season them individually. The service was very friendly and we liked the decor. We can fully recommend a visit there, our next reservation has already been made.

It's a small restaurant, a bit cramped at times. But the very tasty food knocks it out again. The service is attentive and on point. Despite the full house, we didn't have to wait long for our food.

For me the reason to go to Wermelskirchen for dinner. This is not mainstream Asian-China nonsense, but authentic cuisine from Vietnam. The Pho is a poem, depth, spiciness, aroma... wonderful. Everything was wonderfully prepared and well served by the super friendly staff. Sushi is at a high level, the Vietnamese spring rolls are a poem. After the starters, the CU THOC Special Wok is my choice, I love the crispy duck breast with it. If things continue at this level, it will be a stable institution.

Every single dish here is beautiful, lovingly assembled, and tasty. The ceramic dishes are gorgeous, the tea isn't bags, it's herbs, and the vietnamese coffee authentic. If you order a large amount of sushi you get a pot of dry ice that makes the experience special. I've tried almost everything on the menu and would only suggest that the curries are less "germanized" and more like typical asian curry. They will give you a fresh chili pepper or shriracha if you ask to compensate for their very sweet and mild curries, but they still lack that bit of power. The meats and veggies are all fresh and steaming hot, especially if you come at lunchtime. I would like to personally thank the person who came up with the frittierte avocado in teryaki glaze on salad with avocado cream and sesame seeds. It is amazing every time, an award-winning dish. I've never had anything like it. I think next time I'll just order two and skip the main. The chicken teriyaki is almost as good but the avocado is next-level. There is one thing that is curious and disappointing with regard to the food - they give you a beautiful side salad but NO DRESSING AT ALL. I think they imagine it as a garnish, but it's a lot of salad to just look at and toss. I always take it home and eat it with a homemade asian dressing. The only other complaints are they only accept cash, and the place is so packed you need reservations for dinner and it can get very loud in there. We were there for lunch today for the first time and were almost the only customers at 1:30 on a Tuesday. I definitely recommend going for lunch on a weekday and getting table 12 by the front door which is a very private spot (actually that's only important for the busy hours). There is one guy who works there who always smiles at us (so rare in Germany) and today he even asked us how our food tasted, which never happens in Germany. They give you very nice to-go containers which is also rare in Germany - plastic containers you can re-use for other things, unlike a simple piece of aluminum. The toilet I used had a defective flushing mechanism, in other words, didn't flush, so that's gross. This place deserves its awards and I'll keep going. It's only 15E for an entree in comparison to the greek restaurant nearby that wants twice that. I'll keep going and enjoying the aesthetically pleasing, tasty food, and friendly service.

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen. Alle Fragen wurden geduldig und mit Wissen beantwortet. Nach der Bestellung wurden wir sehr zügig und freundlich mit Getränken und Essen versorgt. Die Bedienung war die ganze Zeit sehr aufmerksam aber nicht aufdringlich. Das Essen war sehr schön angerichtet, es war alles frisch und sehr lecker. Gerne kommen wir wieder. Ich würde immer eine Reservierung empfehlen.

WOW! Das schreit nach Wiederholung! Wir waren mit 5 Personen das Erste mal hier. Alle 5 waren von Anfang bis Ende begeistert! Man wird freundlich begrüßt, wir hatten einen wunderschönen Platz draußen auf der Außenterasse. Super schneller und professioneller Service. Das Essen war spitze! Die Speisekarte ist sehr vielseitig. Das Essen war wirklich ein Genuss. Frische Zutaten, geschmackvoll und mit Liebe zubereitet und angerichtet. Hier ist das Auge mit! Die Portionen sind groß und man wird auf jeden Fall satt. Die Reste die man nicht geschafft hat, aber auch nicht zurücklassen wollte, wurden ohne Probleme eingepackt. Nachdem wir uns einige Zeit mit dem Personal unterhalten haben, kann man dieses junge Team einfach nur von Herzen unterstützen und hoffen, dass sich diese tolle Küche herum spricht. Testbericht Cu Thoc Restaurant Markt, Wermelskirchen: Nach der Lektüre der Website suchten wir einen niederschwelligen Einstieg in die Bewertung des Restaurants. Ein preiswertes Mittagsgericht wird leider nicht angeboten. Wir kennen eine Vielzahl von vietnamesischen Restaurants, in denen über die Mittagszeit preisreduzierte Gerichte, häufig mit der Zugabe eines kostenfreien Tees angeboten werden. Somit haben wir zwei Gerichte zu einem Gesamtpreis von 31 Euro zum Abholen bestellt. Unsere geschmacklichen Erwartungen wurden leider nicht erfüllt. Das Tofu wirkte wie aufgeblasen, die Ente war ebenfalls geschmacklich deutlich unterdurchschnittlich. Schade, das war es dann wohl. Das Einweggeschirr mussten wir entsorgen. Mehrwegverpackungen wurden nicht angeboten. Das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis stimmt nicht!

I feel bad saying this cuz I feel that the owners didn't have much choice in our dingy little village about real estate options. They got stuck with the tiny ground floor of an old buildindg with bad acoustics (SO LOUD) and no proper ventilation, seriously not their fault. But I have to start out with the bad, cuz this place has 413 5 star reviews on google. So ...wow. If you go there, do not expect anything other than 1. Great service and 2. Great food. That's it. No parking, no ambience, no space for your elbows. The food. I read all those reviews so I knew at least Germans love this food. We ordered 6 dishes and 5 of them were great, even amazing. The best was the mistaken order of deep fried avocado slices. I ordered the Teriyaki chicken appetizer and the waiter misheard me. I got a total of 5 apologies from him which were 4 too many (but I appreciate the sentiment!). I had read about those deep fried avocados and wanted to try them so it was no problem, next time I'll get the Teriyaki Chicken. (It turns out he gave them to us at no cost due to his mistake.) I'm American and had a really hard time understanding him, unfortunately. My husband ordered Summer Rolls Chicken and they were fine. I really liked them, and the sauce was great, and they were coated in sesame seeds (yes!), but it's hard to be spectacular at a Summer Roll, they were on par with other restaurants' Summer Rolls. I ordered Ebi Maki, 6 tiny Sushi rolls with cooked shrimp and avocado wrapped in Sushi Nori served with Wasabi and my favorite, pickled Ginger. I've never had pickled Ginger in Germany in 16 years so this was a taste of home for me. The sushi was great. Very fresh, but it did not come with their signature dry ice! I specifically ordered it for the dry ice experience! Our server said the dry ice only comes with the large sushi platters. Bummer! I cannot eat that much sushi to warrant the dry ice, I guess. If you can, go for it! What a novelty! My main course was the normal red curry (which is not spicy at all despite saying slightly spicy in the description - the waiter brought me extra red chilis to add to it - warning - do not do this. Just don't.) I had been warned by the photos on their (very HONEST) website that the portions were very small for the curries. Indeed I believe I had about 100 ml of actual curry sauce, and after I removed my roasted duck topping, I counted all the vegetables in the sauce, and it was pathetic. I had one tiny piece of broccoli, 2 bites of paprika, 2 mushrooms, 4 pumpkin chunks, and one potato chunk. It was a very good thing we filled up on appetizers. I'm also confused by the salad on each of our main meals. There is a handful of mixed lettuce types but no dressing whatsoever. Why not? Even at corner Teriyaki joints in America the tiny half-handful of lettuce has a sweet mayo/roasted sesame dressing that makes it wonderful. No dressing at all? On the website photos I often wondered if I was looking at salad dishes of just regular meals served on a pile of green leaves. They need to get that together and make it edible. I took mine home so I can dump my own dressing on, but that shouldn't be the case. Make a garnish a garnish, make a salad a salad. Don't mix the two to save money/be fancy! My husband had the Udon chicken which is very funny cuz it has Chicken McNuggets on it rather than normal grilled chicken. Ok not actually from McDonalds, but seriously breaded deep fried Chicken Nuggets. We both agreed they were better than McDonalds. Just....why? For kids? Why don't they offer the Nuggest to the kids? The kids menu only has the Teriyaki and the Peanut Chicken skewers! Kids love Nuggets! I do not like kids and they were so loud tonight (5 pm Friday) that I could not have a conversation with my husband despite our table being only 60 cm long. Not the restaurant's fault, I know. I can only imagine the place getting louder on a weekend night with partying near 10 PM. I imagine the solution is to come on a Summer weekday at noon and hopefully there are less people and fresh air and the same spectacular appetizers and great food. I've already invited friends for a second visit, and look forward to some dry ice. Dry ice, please! Also, KARTENBEZAHLEN BITTE! Why cash only? Your prices are already lower than anything else on that level of quality. We will not complain if you raise your prices 1Euro per item simply for the convenience of not having to go to the freaking bank just to go have dinner, to get cash. Please raise your prices and let us pay by card.

Wir waren zum ersten Mal in diesem Restaurant und sind begeistert! Sehr freundliches Personal, eine ausgewogene, vielseitige, aber nicht unübersichtliche Speisekarte und ein wirklich hervorragendes Essen, noch dazu liebe voll angerichtet. Die Preise sind moderat, und wir haben, obwohl es recht voll war, nicht lang warten müssen. Wir werden auf jeden Fall wieder kommen und können dieses Restaurant nur wärmstens empfehlen. Ein junges engagiertes Team ist hier zugange, das ist unbedingt unterstützenswert!

Habe in Deutschland noch nie so ein aufmerksames und nettes Personal erlebt. Die Speisen sind nicht nur lecker, sondern auch sehr liebevoll angerichtet. Ich freue mich jetzt schon auf das nächste Mal.

Großartiges Essen. Tolle abwechslungsreiche Karte - wirklich mal etwas anderes Super freundlicher und schneller Service. Wirklich schön so etwas in Wermelskirchen zu haben.

Nach Blick in die riesige Karte, die keine Wünsche offen lässt, hatten wir 2 mal Mittagsmenü und eine Schale Reis für unsere Tochter. Dazu eine Miso-Suppe, die super lecker war. Mango-Lassi war die beste die wir jemals hatten. Als Menü gab es einmal eine Sushi-Variation, die abgesehen von einer super liebevollen Dekoration, äußerst schmackhaft war. Das andere Menü waren Reisnudeln mit Lachs, auch saugut. Jeweils hatten wir die Limo. War auch super. Wir waren mehr als begeistert. Schade, dass unsere Tage schon geplant sind. Wir wären gerne nochmals zum Essen gekommen.
