Before the meal, we were treated to delicious antipasti and sparkling wine, and afterward, a tasty liqueur and dessert. The value for money was excellent. A very friendly chef. Upon arrival, I was given an aperitif when I had to wait for a table. And this even though I was alone. Truly excellent service. Before I received my food, a small amuse-bouche was served with peppers, fish, and olives. Then I received my Pola Pola. Daydreaming away to the Croatian sun. Highly recommended.

We were thrilled: - Amuse-bouche - Appetizer: We shared the Dalmatian antipasti platter. - Main course: Fresh, perfectly seasoned, and it instantly reminded me of our last vacation in Croatia. - To finish, a complimentary liqueur Everything was freshly prepared and of a quality that is unfortunately rare to find. Service: The service was outstanding! The server (the owner himself?) was very attentive, friendly, and gave us excellent advice. It was clear he was proud of the food and wine of his homeland. We visited "Croatia" for the first time today and were very satisfied. The owner and the staff were very attentive and friendly. The food was excellent and more than plentiful. We quickly reserved a table an hour before our visit (which is highly recommended!). When we arrived, an appetizer and a glass of Prosecco were already waiting for us. For "dessert," we were given a complimentary schnapps and a mini cream puff. We highly recommend "Croatia"!

A few years ago, they offered complimentary bread with delicious spreads as an appetizer; now you can expect stuffed peppers and other treats. The food is still very plentiful and tasty. The salad dressing and the stuffed pleskjavikja are my favorites. It's always delicious here!

We stopped by the restaurant spontaneously and were lucky enough to get a seat without a reservation. We were greeted with a glass of mango sparkling wine and a welcome from the kitchen. Drinks and the main course arrived quickly and were delicious. Finally, something to aid digestion was served. The price was very fair, especially since a salad is served with the main course.

It was a meal for two, plus a salad, plus two plates of appetizers from the restaurant, and a stack of schnapps with sweets. For 36 € 😳 I haven't had such delicious, home-cooked food in a long time 🥰

We discovered this small Croatian restaurant by chance. We received a very warm welcome, an aperitif, and a welcome greeting from the kitchen. The food was exceptionally good, including a flambéed grill. We even finished with a shot of schnapps on the house. The service was very attentive; it felt like we were on vacation in Croatia. If we're ever in Passau again, we'll be happy to return.

It's a shame. Given the good reviews, we had hoped for much more. We had the grilled platter for two and were seriously disappointed with the meat. The skewers and the chop were dry and tough, and the Čevapcici weren't very flavorful. The fries and rice were okay. The ajvar, on the other hand, was excellent, presumably homemade. The service was friendly but not very attentive. Unfortunately, the owner didn't take my criticism so well. As a Croatian native, I was a bit embarrassed by the food. It's a shame.

We will definitely recommend Croatia to others. This kind of warmth every evening is something we can only wish for these times. We also like that they only accept cash payments, so you can actually leave a tip. We look forward to our next visit to Croatia. 🤗

The idea here is to stage and accomplish great things with minimal expenditure of goods, but this only partially succeeds, because commendably attentive service and exuberant friendliness can't cover everything. I think you know best where you can improve quality, and your guests are certainly willing to pay a euro or two more for a meal. Apart from that, a little more courage with spiciness would be welcome, as would a little more Balkan flair in the "ice cream parlor." Thanks!

TOP value for money! We had the grilled calamari and the pljeskavica with feta cheese, both very good, and the portions were more than sufficient for the average eater. There was a welcome drink, small appetizers, and a complimentary digestive schnapps with a mini dessert. Various sauces are served separately with the dishes. You rarely find that these days. The staff is very friendly, almost warm, and attentive. The ambiance may be a matter of taste, but we certainly felt very comfortable, found it cozy, and had a lovely evening. We'd be happy to come back and can recommend the restaurant with a clear conscience. ♥

Hunger brought us to Croatia last night by chance. Although we hadn't made a reservation, we were kindly offered a table. As an aperitif, we were given a sparkling wine on the house and a small mixed starter plate as a greeting from the kitchen. We thought that was very thoughtful. We then opted for a gourmet platter for two people. It was flambéed at our table, was veeeery filling and tasted very, very good. For me, the absolute highlight were the sauces that came with it. I think the ajvar and the garlic sauce were homemade; sooo delicious. To finish off, we were given a herbal liqueur on the house. The only small criticism was that my husband's beer was warm. But this was noticed and an alternative was offered. The second criticism would be that the ambience wasn't really my thing. But that's a matter of taste and in the eye of the beholder. Our conclusion: we had an excellent meal at a reasonable price. All in all, we definitely recommend it.

It's a truly unique place, worth visiting, with wonderful food. But that's not all. My stay there reminded me of a magnificent performance in several parts, where the participant feels completely spoiled by a culinary feast. The owner acts like a master of ceremonies, serving each course and drink—part of the show. Everything reminds me of Gabriel Axel's wonderful film, Babette's Feast. To understand what I'm talking about, it's worth visiting the Croatia Restaurant in Passau. If I ever visit this wonderful city again, I will return to this fantastic restaurant. And one more thing—considering today's reality and what you get—the prices are truly reasonable, and I've never had such delicious grilled squid in my life. We're currently on vacation in Passau and really wanted to visit the highly rated Crotia. The very friendly welcome from the chef, Oliver, was a real treat, and what can I say? We weren't disappointed. First, we received a free cocktail and a great appetizer. Our main courses were very, very tasty and generously sized; you can tell they're still cooking with a lot of love. At the end, we were treated to a liqueur and a chocolate. We paid just under €50 for four drinks and two main courses, which is truly fantastic. Thank you so much, we'll definitely be back. This Croatian restaurant offers solid home-style cooking, but there are a few points of criticism. Only cash payments are accepted, which is outdated these days. The toast with canned mushrooms tasted okay, but fresh ones would have been much better. The calamari wasn't convincing, and the potatoes were overcooked. The garlic oil, however, was tasty. Not a favorite for me.

We haven't had such a bad meal in a long time. The service was very good, nothing to complain about. The salad tasted only of vinegar. The cevapcici were overcooked and dry. The djuvec rice was too salty, and the skewer was hard and consisted only of fat. All but one of the four plates were returned half-full. The reaction was: "You never know what the meat will be like." No accommodation, nothing!!!! I can't understand the positive reviews. And I can't recommend this restaurant either.

We found Croatia on the first evening of our short break. We enjoyed it so much that we stopped here every night of our vacation. Each evening we tried something different from the menu and can highly recommend everything. Almost every dish came with a homemade paprika sauce, similar to Avjar. This sauce was simply delicious! Not that the meat needed any extra flavor. We hope Croatia is still there when we return to Passau.
