Ganz leckeres Essen, unglaublich netter Service und Vorspeisen und Aperitif auf Kosten des Hauses… wo gibt es so etwas noch außer hier. Absolute Empfehlung.

Wir hatten nicht reserviert, aber dennoch einen schönen, ruhigen 2er-Tisch bekommen!! Dann erlebten wir einen wunderbaren Abend in diesem Restaurant. Schon der Gruß aus der Küche war sehr geschmackvoll und machte Lust auf mehr. Die kroatische Küche wurde hier authentisch und mit viel Liebe zum Detail präsentiert. Besonders die reichhaltige Platte für zwei Personen hat uns begeistert – sowohl geschmacklich als auch von der Portionsgröße her perfekt. Der Service war überaus freundlich und aufmerksam, was das gesamte Erlebnis noch angenehmer machte. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder. Absolute Empfehlung!

The food was very tasty and there was a little surprise for Valentine's Day! But be careful: only cash payment possible. The Google description says credit card “yes”, but it is not up to date.

Owner-run restaurant 💕 that is so attentive and friendly that you won't want to leave 👍🏻 The welcome with a drink, bread and small delicacies, as well as the farewell 😋 The menu is manageable, which we really liked! Everything is super fresh and the prices are reasonable. Unfortunately it was not possible to get dessert as the family stepped in for the sick cooks. But the owner also brought a consolation here 🫶 Very happy again 👍🏻

We had dinner on Thursday, January 30th, 2025, the food was excellent. First there was an aperitif on the house, followed by a greeting from the kitchen. For the main course, minced meat stuffed with feta and grilled beef liver, we can answer with an “Absolutely Top”. At the end we were surprised with sweets and a Digistif. The restaurant is recommended and if we are in Passau again we already know where we will eat.

Super friendly, pleasant people - you get good food for reasonable prices and lots of sweets - always happy. Keep it up 👍🏼 Unfortunately we didn't receive any dessert, but we had liqueur and sweets on the house 😊

...after a long break, once again in the "CROATIA" on the Donaulände in Passau with Oliver.... At 6:00 p.m. the cute restaurant was still empty and there was therefore free choice of seating. The very warm welcome was crowned with an aperitif (mango sparkling wine - very tasty!). After taking the order without any problems, there was a Croatian greeting from the kitchen (cheese, bread, vegetables, etc..) The main courses (liver + stuffed rump steak) were served quickly and in an attractive form in sufficient quantities with a side salad. At the end there was a “digest” with chocolate... There were also two drinks and at an AWESOME PRICE of under 50 euros! Everything TOP definitely try it!!! I recommend making a reservation for larger groups We'll be back

We were here on November 29th, 2024 and had reserved for 4 people. What a nice welcome! The table was beautifully set, aperitifs and snacks (olives, antipasti) were already waiting for us as a greeting from the kitchen. Extremely attentive, friendly service and a cozy atmosphere. Very good value for money. The spicy, seasoned meat was perfect for the “well done” group. My butter-tender grilled calamari was a delight. Gladly again!

Lobenswert waren der flexible Service, der besonders freundliche Umgang - auch mit Kindern. Sonderwünsche werden berücksichtigt und erfüllt. Hervorzuheben ist das sehr schmackhaft zubereitete Essen. Nennenswert ist auch, das die Räumlichkeiten und Sanitäranlagen sehr sauber sind.

Super friendly and honest welcome Live music There were two of us and we were brought to the table, where antipasti with bread was already ready Then sparkling wine was added as a welcome drink After studying the menu, the very friendly service arrived without any hassle or stress (even though the restaurant was full) When we were finished with the antipasti, the super fresh crisp salad, green lettuce, tomatoes, peppers and chives came to the table. A little later the food we ordered, one grill plate and one calamari. Very nice and large portion You really can't beat the taste. After the meal there was a schnapps and a sweet on the house! For dessert there were pancakes and an ice cream sundae In the 3.5 hour stay we were not once pushed or looked at askance because we were still sitting. (In many restaurants there is now a time window of around 2 hours) there was no sign of that here, which really took the evening to another level Thank you for that!! Unfortunately without photos, but with even more enthusiasm for the great stay

The beautifully furnished restaurant right on the Danube has everything you need when it comes to food and drink. In addition to the delicious food, the friendly boss and the "one man band" Zoky are definitely worth a visit if you want to spend a nice evening in Passau.

We were in this restaurant on a Saturday evening during a trip to Passau. I immediately felt like I was transported back to the 90s. The ambience made it a surprise, small but nice. There was already a greeting from the house at the table. Small starter with bread and an aperitif. And a solo entertainer played great hits...A tip: call ahead and ask for a table. (There aren't many places.

There must be something wrong with my wife and me. We stayed at Croatia with a reservation on December 5th, 2024. Nice atmosphere, friendly service and a few delicacies were already at the table for free consumption. There was also a small apperiv (champagne) on the house. We thought it was great. The first minor disappointment was the white wine spritzer. We had ordered a dry one, but one with a lovely character arrived. The restaurant was busy and seemed to have a lot of regulars, which is always a good sign. The waiting time for the food was unusually long for this type of cuisine but still within reason. It was bitterly cold outside and we asked if the Juliska that was offered could perhaps be warmed up briefly in the microwave. No, the answer was just cold. Then came the grill plate and PolaPola. We've eaten in many, many Balkan grills in Germany and also in Croatia, but we've never had anything like this The Cevapcici were really hard and dry and way too much salt. The meat, whether on a skewer or as a piece, could hardly be cut. But that wasn't due to Blunt Knife's meat. That had a completely different problem. It tasted pungently of Maggi or a similar seasoning. Really not nice. The rice was a complete mush. The best part of the meal was the salad and the fries. The innkeeper acknowledged our comments without arguing, which was again professional. Either something went wrong in the kitchen that day, or the regular guests and we have completely different ideas about what solid Balkan cuisine should taste like.

Bread and antipasti were served before the food arrived and a schnapps on the house afterwards. Main course (pepper steak & co) everything was great! Music was a bit loud at times and the espresso was a bit thin. Otherwise nothing to complain about. Gladly again! 😊

A piece of Croatia on the edge of Germany. Very nice atmosphere with a nice service that you only know from the Balkans. The food is more than sufficient and of the best quality. The owner takes time for all guests and has an open ear. To top it all off, there are free snacks, schnapps and aperitifs from the host. Always my pleasure.

I've been walking past this restaurant in Passau for years and for the first time last week I reserved a table there for 4 people. The reason I've been walking past there for years is certainly due to the large parking lot opposite, which leads directly into downtown Passau on foot and I hadn't had a chance to see this restaurant before. Now I can see 'clearer'... into this small, rustic, cozy restaurant, which I definitely won't miss again!! The boss served there himself, led the family and me to a perfectly set table and after a few minutes gave us very detailed advice, without the usual hectic pace that one is usually used to elsewhere in Passau. A small selection of aperitifs and very tasty ones because they are fresh!!, starters are even on the house!! The tables are always ready with the above-mentioned delicacies for the guests, where elsewhere you can pay €6 to €8 per person. an appetizer would be charged!! The main course, at the family's request the Croatian specialty platter for 4 people, was really a poem with the accompanying, very clean, generously sized and super tasty side salads!! Although we couldn't eat everything due to the extremely large portions, after a very tasty Croatian schnapps, also on the house!!, after a digestive break we were each able to eat one of the great pancakes. None of us had even the slightest thing to complain about or complain about that evening!! All around, neither in the smallest corner of the restaurant itself nor in the associated "water-bearing side rooms", there were no complaints at Croatia!! I would like to mention this, as well as the price level of food and drinks there, as very positive!! This first visit was by no means the last and I would like to thank, also on behalf of the family, the waiter and owner of this really recommendable, because really exceptional and very hospitable restaurant. Habe in diesem Lokal mit meiner Familie meinen Geburtstag gefeiert und war sehr positiv überrascht von dem sehr gut zubereitetem Essen (Kalamari sind sehr zu empfehlen). Auch die Bedienung war überaus freundlich und bemüht. Die Kinder bekamen gratis Süßigkeiten und für die Erwachsenen gab es einen gratis Schnaps.

Croatia is a restaurant that I have loved since I was a child and I really appreciate every visit. The owner is super friendly, the ambience is great and the food is absolutely brilliant. The starters are good, the salad is beautiful and my absolute favorite, the gourmet platter including the sauces (insider tip: the sauces can also be ordered =) is absolutely top class. If you still have room for dessert after a sumptuous meal, you are also in good hands there. Of course, you can also get a good digestive schnapps or liqueur here with the great service. If I could, I would be here every day.
