Ein toller Laden! Essen super lecker, Bedienung sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Preise absolut okay. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Selten so einen schlechten Salat gegessen in einem italienischen Restaurant. Lieblos angerichtet und in Joghurtsosse ertränkt. Der Kellner hat nicht gefragt, wie der Salat angerichtet werden soll. Dazu gab es Brot wie aus dem Discounter. Zur Auswahl stand noch Essig und Öl. Trotz mehrfachen Winkens wird man vom Personal nicht wahrgenommen. Selbst der Cappuccino schmeckte nur, als wären Bohnen dadurchgeschossen.

Top Restaurant am Strand. Italiener der nicht nur Pasta und Pizza anbietet. Zum Sonnenuntergang die beste Wahl.

Ein Punkt hat uns beim Essen im Cornelius etwas irritiert: Laut Auskunft des Kellners konnten Vorspeise und Hauptspeise nur gemeinsam bestellt werden. Bei einer getrennten Bestellung hätten wir angeblich etwa 90 Minuten auf den Hauptgang warten müssen. Diese Regelung konnten weder wir noch die Gäste an den Nachbartischen nachvollziehen, zumal das Restaurant zu diesem Zeitpunkt keineswegs voll besetzt war. Aus unserer Sicht sollte hier mehr Flexibilität möglich sein, damit sich Gäste rundum willkommen und gut betreut fühlen. PS: Das Essen war lecker :)

Cornelius hat leider nachgelassen… sowohl was die Qualität des Essens angeht (die Schnitzel haben eher „Kantinen“-Nivau jetzt), als auch Freundlichkeit des Personals. Zumindest unsere Bedienung hat ein falsches Gericht gebracht, dieses aber auf die angeblich schlechte Aussprache unseres Sohnes geschoben… unverschämt… 2 Sterne, weil die Lage natürlich immer noch top ist…

Kartenzahlung erst ab 20€ — irgendwie nicht mehr zeitgemäß! Wenn ich einen Ostfriesentee bestelle, möchte ich ungerne einen Teebeutel von Meßmer serviert haben! Personal war freundlich, Lokal lädt eigentlich ein!

Super Essen, guter Service, nettes Personal

Supertoller Service, nett, freundlich und zuvorkommend Dieses kennen wir auch schon seit Jahren.Aber dieses Jahr waren wir ausnahmsweise mal mittags da. Tolle Pizza Tricolore und auch das Vitello Tonato war sehr gut. Bis bald😀🥰👍

Schönes, relativ neues Restaurant am Ende der Promenade, gut besucht über Ostern, aber man bekommt immer einen Platz. Was auch immer wir bestellt haben, Waffeln, Kuchen, Pizza, es war immer zügig und in guter Qualität am Tisch. Eine klare Empfehlung!

Gutes Restaurant, leckeres italienisches Essen mit angemessenen Preisen.

Unser Lieblingsrestaurant. Wir sind in jedem unserer Urlaube mehrfach dort. Das Essen ist lecker und bezahlbar, die Menschen sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Aussicht auf den Nordstrand unbezahlbar. Immer wieder gerne.

Immer wieder einfach gut und freundlich....

Wir waren am Freitag, den 27. März, zu dritt im Restaurant, um dort Pizza zu essen – leider wurden wir enttäuscht. Bestellt wurden die Pizzen Tonno, Cornelius und Gamberetti. Alle drei Pizzen waren geschmacklich kaum genießbar. Die Tomatensauce war völlig fade – es fehlten Salz, Oregano und Basilikum. Außerdem war der Käse direkt mit der Tomatensauce vermischt, anstatt – wie es sich gehört – über dem Belag überbacken zu sein. Bei der Pizza Gamberetti fehlte der Knoblauch an den Garnelen, bei der Pizza Cornelius waren die Zutaten lediglich auf der Pizza verteilt, ohne vom Käse bedeckt oder überbacken zu sein. Insgesamt wirkte alles lieblos und erinnerte eher an Fertigsauce als an frische Zubereitung. Enttäuschend war auch der Service: Beim Abräumen fragte der Kellner nicht einmal, ob es geschmeckt hatte – das sagt bereits viel über das Restaurant aus. Fazit: kulinarisch schwach und nicht zu empfehlen. Einziger Lichtblick war das gut gezapfte Grevensteiner von Veltins

Wir hatten keine Reservierung, trotzdem hat sich das Personal bemüht, uns einen Tisch zu besorgen. Wir haben sehr lecker gegessen und getrunken.

Nicht nur eine Pizza sondern mehrere mit wenig bis gar keinen Geschmack wurden gegessen.Chef der Pizzeria mit keinem Fingerspitzengefühl wegen der Kritik und Meinung.Man sollte sich eben nicht wundern,wenn man fragt ob es geschmeckt hat...

Wir sind öfter hier und es ist immer wieder lecker. Auch der Service ist sehr gut.

Dieses Restaurant ist immer wieder eine Reise Wert, das Essen, das Ambiente und die Beschäftigten hier sind zuvorkommend, freundlich und kurz gesagt wunderbar. Wir kommen sehr gerne immer wieder zu euch ❤️ Wir kommen öfter hier her, zum 🍕 Pizza essen am Abend oder für frische Waffeln 🧇, Eis 🍨 einen Cappuccino ☕ oder Milchkaffee am Tag. Geschmack und Service 1a mit Sternchen hatten Pizza, Salat, und Pizzabrot mit sehr guter Aioli bestellt, wohnen über dem Restaurant und wollten gerne oben in der Ferienwohnung essen. Für den Service kein Problem, nach ca 10 min klingelte es an der Tür und zwei sehr nette Kellner servietten uns das Essen ins Wohnzimmer, wir dachten das es in einem Pizzakarton kommt, aber weit gefehlt, serviert wurde auf Tellern. Vielen Dank nochmal für diesen außerordentlichen tollen Service und das sehr gute Essen. Kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Kurz und knapp! Preis Leistung ist hier völlig solide und okay. Es hat lecker geschmeckt und bei Bedarf werden wir wieder kommen.

We've always been very satisfied. Unfortunately, this year we discovered that the service was very inflexible and couldn't accommodate our requests. Despite the restaurant being empty, we weren't allowed to choose our own seating. The location of the restaurant remains excellent, though. We have, however, found a new restaurant for our vacation on Norderney.

If you need a break from the beach and a quick bite to eat, this is a great spot.

We ordered three different pasta dishes, and all three were delicious and reasonably priced. The money here comes from drinks. €6 for a non-alcoholic wheat beer was quite steep.

There were four of us there, and all the dishes were perfect. So tastefully prepared, simply amazing. The ambiance is also unique, and the location is right by the sea.

An absolutely fantastic restaurant right by the sea with an outstanding view. The food is fresh and tastes fantastic. We've rarely had such delicious Italian food. The menu is very varied. The staff are friendly and child-friendly. Always worth a visit.

Today, on our first day on Norderney (two families with children aged 5 to 9), we wanted to spend a nice and, above all, relaxing evening after a long journey by train and ferry. The children got their food relatively quickly, but unfortunately, we adults had to wait 1.5 hours for our food. Other tables that arrived after us had their food earlier and had even paid by then. Our inquiries were dismissed with a curt "coming right away." In the end, it became obvious that our order had simply been "missed" several times. Unfortunately, when the food finally arrived, we couldn't really enjoy it anymore, as the children were already really tired by 9:50 p.m. I don't expect huge discounts, but the fact that they don't accommodate them in any way (free drinks for the kids, a scoop of ice cream, or at least the "standard Ramazotti") demonstrates very little "guilt consciousness." The food is absolutely fine, the location is lovely, but the many tables create an extremely loud atmosphere. Unfortunately, it wasn't a really successful evening for us.

We have been visiting this restaurant regularly for over 20 years and have always been very satisfied. Unfortunately, we were disappointed on our last visit: The fish dish we ordered was a disgrace for the high price – about 90% was tomatoes in the sauce, while there were only 2-3 small pieces of fish "hidden" in it. The other dishes were also poorly presented and, both visually and taste-wise, were more reminiscent of a cafeteria buffet. We've definitely grown accustomed to this from previous years! Too bad – this was unfortunately our last visit for the time being.

Food as if bought ready and just warmed up

The staff and manager are very friendly, and the sausages are almost always available. We'd be happy to come back. We often eat there when we're on Ney Island.

I ate here twice and was very satisfied both times! Both the pizza and the pasta dish were delicious and plentiful. On our second visit, we had a reservation for 19 people, which wasn't a problem. They had prepared several tables for us in a quiet corner. I particularly liked the incredibly fast preparation of our meals, despite the large group and full house! The staff was always very friendly and attentive. The restrooms (basement) were clean, and there's a large changing table above the stairs. Highly recommended restaurant!

We've been to Norderney several times on holiday and always enjoy coming back. Great, very friendly staff and delicious, authentic Italian food. The prices could be a bit cheaper, but unfortunately, that's the case all over the island 🤷🏻‍♂️

The Cornelius is truly beautifully located on the north beach. The terrace is inviting, with a beautiful view of the beach and the sea. Unfortunately, you have to expect long waits for service. It can take up to 30 minutes to place an order. Unfortunately, the pizza is only mediocre. The ingredients seem to be on the cheap side, and in my opinion, the price is too high.

The food was okay overall, but unfortunately nothing special. The tagliatelle with salmon wasn't very tasty. My mother had ordered a salad with extra feta cheese, but what she served was a fairly simple salad of iceberg lettuce, carrots, and cucumbers – along with a large amount of feta cheese, but not the feta cheese we ordered. When we pointed this out to the waiter, he unfortunately didn't react very kindly. After a rather unpleasant discussion, we didn't have to pay for the portion of cheese, but the situation was still anything but pleasant.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't recommend it. While the location and view are beautiful, that alone isn't enough. We sat at our table for 20 minutes before anyone even came, and then we had to wait a full 1.5 hours for our food. Nothing was cleared, and there was no further service at the table. It all happens sometimes and it's no big deal, but you can always say a word or generally establish some kind of contact with the guest if there's a staffing shortage. Unfortunately, everything felt extremely impersonal. It's a shame—we won't be coming back.

There were nine of us with a reservation. We were seated immediately, and at no point did we have to chase the waiter. The food was not just good compared to some other restaurants on the island, but really good in its own right, and at normal prices, as we'd experience on the mainland. In addition to the standard selection of some dishes, it was also possible to request additional changes to the dishes for an additional €2 charge.

Sorry, unfortunately a disaster, apparently we had a really bad day. 2 adults, a small child. The reserved table was gone, even though we were on time to the minute and had called especially for advice, but the replacement table was fine. We ordered 2 pizzas and a child's portion of spaghetti. The food for the little one arrived after about 20 minutes, which was fine and she really liked it. Then the problems unfortunately started. Despite repeated requests, our food arrived a full 30 minutes later. But at least we got it, unlike the straw for the little one. My spinach pizza was fine, but my wife's calzone was unfortunately a disaster. Quite dark on the outside, unfortunately still partly cold on the inside and the grated cheese hadn't even begun to melt. Perhaps the oven was set too hot. We then complained, but since you can't put a calzone back in the oven, we were offered a cancellation, but we just wanted something to eat. The bottom line is, I gorged myself on pizza because my wife was hungry, my child was full, impatient, and tired; my mood was ruined. Unfortunately, even the free scoop of ice cream for the little one didn't help. Bottom line: my wife has to put the little one to bed when she's hungry, and yes, there are stressful evenings in the restaurant industry, but honestly, it can still be done much better. I don't like being told that it's better for my child if she eats alone half an hour before us, rather than with us half an hour later. Thanks for the tip. P.S., no, sharing wasn't an option; my wife absolutely doesn't like my pizza.

Best Italian restaurant on the north beach! Even when the restaurant and terrace are full, the service is always friendly and the food is always top-notch! A quick stopover. I felt very comfortable, the service was friendly, and everything was great.

The pizza is small and doesn't taste particularly good. The price is very high. Unfriendly service for children. They're trying to make a lot of money quickly.

Delicious and crispy pizza. The plaice was very well prepared and the fried potatoes were excellent. Service was okay.

We sat outside at lunch and all ate pizza. It was absolutely delicious!

Great food and friendly service

We celebrated our wedding there last year with 25 people and now our first wedding anniversary with around 12 people. The food was, just like last time, absolutely delicious. I would have given the ambience a thumbs up if the air inside wasn't so stuffy at times. It's a shame, but it's not necessary that the boss isn't just at the table. I even asked the staff if he could come over to say thank you, etc., but he didn't even pass the word on, even though the boss was there.

On our first evening on Norderney, we ate here because we really wanted to enjoy the beautiful view, and we were served just that! The food was delicious and the service was attentive and friendly! Highly recommended!

A great setting Food and drinks okay

Others can't wait to see what they're up to! Top-notch cuisine (sea bream and spaghetti) perfectly prepared, very attentive service, yet they take their time with the meal. A blessing for the island of Norderney! Update after 11 months: Very good food, top-notch meat, very attentive service.

We had redfish that was drowning in tomato sauce. My schnitzel was left in the fryer too long, and the cod was thickly breaded.

Unfortunately, not every waiter knows the menu – one day there's a super-delicious soda, the next day nobody knows anything about it. On two out of three visits, the waiter also seemed rather stressed and unflexible. Sure, it's a tourist spot, but with a little more enthusiasm for their job, the experience would be much more pleasant.

I haven't had such a good pizza in a long time. And for this atmosphere, the price and quality are 100% right. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. I can only recommend it!

- trockene ungewürzte Pizza - Nudeln scheinen abgezählt (für 16 EUR 15 Nudeln) - Canelloni = 2 Stück in einer Schale mit etwas Soße für ca 15 Euro. Alles recht geschmacksneutral Service unterirdisch. Man wurde erst gar nicht bedient, dann wurde a) das falsche gebracht und b) bestelltes gar nicht serviert Mir scheint das Lokal nur gut besucht weil es nichts anderes gibt an diesem Standpunkt. Kann nur empfehlen 2 Häuser weiter zu gehen oder in der Stadt was zu suchen. Alternativ kann man sein Geld auch ins Meer werfen.
