Corfu Grill in Hamburg

We stumbled upon this restaurant by accident, and since my wife and I love Greek food, we went in and we don't regret it. The service was friendly, the food was delicious, and the prices were reasonable.

Takeout orders were very quick, portions were decent, gyros and souvlaki were juicy, and the fries were very good. Dining in the restaurant was a bit noisy as it was always packed, and unfortunately, there was a lot of smoking on the terrace. Since we live nearby, takeout is our top priority.

Delicious food and generous portions. The location is great, but the ambiance could use some sprucing up. If you're interested, I recommend booking a table in advance, as the restaurant is very busy.

One of the best places with hight quality of greeks food that it used to be usually as it needs to be. It was one of the best restaurants that you felt like you were in Greece in terms of quality and people.

Very tasty, the service was excellent, and the ouzo bottle fits perfectly. 😊 It would be even better if they also offered liver or gyros in Metaxa sauce.

Large portions of the gyro were black, meaning completely burnt. Unfortunately, I didn't notice this at first, as I had other varieties on my plate, the burnt bits were at the bottom, and the portion was large. In retrospect, I didn't do my health any favors, as I didn't notice it so quickly thanks to the tzatziki. This kind of thing belongs in the trash. Otherwise, the atmosphere and service were fine.

Whenever I come to Hamburg, I eat there at least once. My favorite: Acropolis plate for €22. With rice, coleslaw, and tzatziki. Meat galore. Delicious minced steak, a great lamb skewer (still slightly pink inside and juicy), and plenty of gyros. Everything tastes delicious, typically Greek. With it, a glass of Rezina for €5, a glass of water for €3, and an ouzo (on the house). I felt like I was in an eating contest (due to the quantity). (I had to decline the second ouzo on the house after dinner, otherwise the delicious taste of the food would have disappeared too quickly.) For me, it was both lunch and dinner. This dish was really great value for money. I'll definitely be back on my next visit to Hamburg.

A Greek restaurant after my own heart. The food is excellent, the service is friendly and pleasant. The prices are reasonable for the excellent food. The outdoor seating is rustic, but we've never sat inside; it's honest. Will we come back? Yes, but unfortunately only in good weather by bike; parking is rather difficult.

Soooo delicious food. So good. We love it, especially when we want a quick gyro pita. A renovation and a different concept for the smoking area at the entrance would be the icing on the cake.

By far the best Greek restaurant in Hamburg. The portions are huge and the food is super affordable. There's always plenty of ouzo, too. You should reserve a table in advance, though, as the place is almost always completely full.

Incredibly delicious Greek food! 10/10, we love going there again and again. Unfortunately, there aren't many vegetarian options, but there are a few vegetarian starters that are very tasty. It's always very busy, so sometimes you can't get a table or have to wait a long time for your food. So, it's best to make a reservation. You can also order by phone for pickup, but unfortunately, this is sometimes not possible during busy times.

Top-notch gyros, crispy and juicy. The lamb was excellent, juicy and cooked to perfection. The side dishes were excellent. Highly recommended! Very large portions and Greek hospitality. Crowded and loud, but a great atmosphere, thanks in part to the great staff. The excellent food suffers a bit in the takeaway packaging, as the salad and hot meat are in the same container. Fries and the excellent tzatziki are packaged separately. For me, one of the best Greek restaurants in Hamburg, and certainly the very best in terms of value. Thank you.

The restaurant is always very busy, and reservations are recommended. The team is very friendly and perfectly organized. Takeout orders are accepted right outside the door. The portions are huge and delicious. Special requests are straightforward and always possible. Parking is always a bit of a problem in a residential area, but not impossible. The Corfu Grill is absolutely fantastic. The value for money is also truly unbeatable. It's one of our top 5.

I went to Corfu Grill for the first time today, and I'm absolutely thrilled! The value for money is fantastic! I had a huge portion of delicious and crispy gyros, with an even bigger portion of fries. I also had a very tender and delicious souvlaki skewer. The servers were extremely friendly and accommodating. They refilled my ouzo three times (!!!). 😀 The ambiance reflects the Nordic, austere charm of Hamburg and the Eimsbüttel/Altona district. All in all, highly recommended!!!👍👍👍

Brother, what can I say? Gyros, ouzo, beer – just Baba! We wanted to eat like in Greece - we ate Greece! Meat so juicy that even Zeus would have come down from Olympus. Ouzo ran like water and the beer sat like a clean hook from Habibi Ali. From 3 glasses onwards, this is no longer a restaurant, but a haven for lost souls. Here your soul will be caressed and your stomach will be filled with love. Staff? people of heart. Ambiance? More Greece than in Greece. Eat? Without words, brother. Conclusion: If you weren't here, you didn't live life properly. Wallah Tippitoppi.

The portions are pretty big, but I think even bigger if you take it to go! At home we eat the gyros for two. In the store, I ate it all by myself, but I had to burp at least twice during the night and I definitely noticed the gyros... Otherwise a typical Greek! Good value for money, but more quantity than quality…. Still recommended if you're into it!

I don't understand the hype surrounding this restaurant. You are served convenience products (like the soup I ordered). The gyros plate for 15 euros is totally over the top. Meat dry and over-seasoned! Employees are not attentive and lethargic...

Wir feiern seit vielen vielen Jahren hier den Geburtstag einer Freundin. Und warum seit mind. 10 Jahren immer in dieser Location? Weils passt. Ja, die Kritikpunkte des einen oder anderen mögen ihre Berechtigung haben. Aber ich kenne keine andere Location, wo das Preis Leistungsverhältnis noch so in Ordnung ist, immer Ouzo auf dem Tisch steht und man den kleinen Teil des Ladens für sich und seine Freunde separat anmieten kann, um dort zu feiern, ohne die anderne Gäaste zu stören, wenn mal wieder laut gesunden wird :-) Macht Euch selbst ein Bild. Wir sind auch in 2025 wieder hier!

Totally normal Greek. But half of the “farmer’s salad” consists of coleslaw. You can only pay in cash, what should you think? The outdoor area is reserved for smokers.

What a disaster. Completely overwhelming for a group of 10 people. Drinks come wrong and then 3 different waiters try to convince you that you ordered a beer and not an Alster. What are we discussing here? To say goodbye, the friendly waitress will give you a nice “Malaka” on the way.

The food was really tasty, especially the gyros portions were super juicy and well seasoned! The service was friendly and attentive, which made the visit really pleasant. The only drawback is the furnishings - it's not quite as nice inside, rather simple and functional. But if it's mostly about food, it's definitely worth a visit!

So cool! Probably the best Hamburg has to offer when it comes to Greek food. There's no lie, the Corfu employees hold the record for serving. It is the undisputed Gastro-Servive world record. We were there at 6:12 p.m. today, ordered at 6:13 p.m., had the pilsettes at 6:14 p.m. and the world-class pita on our plate at 6:15 p.m. Anyone who thinks this is a coincidence is wrong! We used to go there often and the food was really nice when we ate it there. To take away, it's unfortunately very weak. Meat was dry, fries too, unfortunately not tasty. The loud and sometimes chaotic operation may have a certain charm, but my son was very unsettled. We waited for the food and wasn't even offered a chair to sit on. It's a shame, it used to be really good. Now too loud, too much bar atmosphere.

Typical German-Greek rotisserie. Good and super abundant dishes, fast and friendly service. Fairly high prices, therefore not frequented.

Because of the pretty good reviews, we decided to visit this restaurant. You have to be prepared for the fact that the atmosphere is more like a snack bar, which in principle isn't a bad thing. We ordered a gyros plate and a mixed plate with gyros, souvlaki and lamb chops. The portions were large, but the presentation was rather simple. The fries were really good, but we found the meat itself just okay; both the seasoning and the degree of doneness didn't convince us. In terms of price, the store is comparable to restaurants with a more cozy atmosphere. The food wasn't convincing, which is why we probably won't come here again because there are better Greek snack bars and restaurants in Hamburg.

Not a good restaurant for me personally. I got stomach problems every time I went there. It was always turkey or vegetarian dishes. It's not comfortable either. People sit on beer benches outside and it is often stuffy inside. If you're there as a larger group, you'll at least get one or two carafes of ouzo. Is nice for those who drink alcohol. However, the employees are always very nice, at least a good thing.

Very tasty food and extremely personable, friendly staff who always have a joke on their lips! The portions can be described as extremely generous. The multiple free ouzo in the evening wasn't bad either! Sat outside with two kids and a dog. Even though there was a lot going on, the service took time for the children.

If you want something fresh from the grill and are not averse to a Uso, but are also in a good mood, this is the place for you! The neighborhood is regular customers. The bifteki is terrific - and big - but the lamb chops are not to be sniffed at either!
