CODO - Street Kitchen in Hannover

I ordered the curry via Uber Eats and wrote that I have a peanut allergy so that they could pay attention when preparing the curry, because a lot of it is sold with peanut sauce. I then received curry with peanut sauce?! I actually really enjoy eating there, but that's just not possible.

We were there at 8:20 p.m. and wanted something to eat. But since the kitchen closes at 9 p.m., we didn't get anything. Maybe their clocks work differently. Otherwise we've always been happy, but now we're crossing the store off our list.

I was always very satisfied. Delicious food and fast service or delivery. But now my order was canceled for no reason after 1.5 hours (!) of waiting, even though the driver had supposedly been on the road for over an hour. An hour after ordering, when I tried to ask when the food was coming, no one answered the phone.

The employees are very unbothered and rude. They only accept german cards and cash and were mad that our european cards were not working. Very rude and the food was tasteless not special at all. Would not recommend !!

Very unfriendly staff just experienced. The lady is new. She rolled her eyes in two situations. This has no place in service – wrong calling

Unfortunately, after a long time, a very negative experience! The restaurant works with Uber Eats and places offers there that they don't feel tied to afterwards. Caution! There are offers at very expensive prices that promise a free item, which is then not included with flimsy excuses. It's best not to order online here, but rather eat on site. Too bad!

Unfortunately, the employees have problems with the receipt and communication is not easy here either. I see great growth potential here 👋🏻

The noodles in this review, I can’t remember the name, but this is outstanding, fantastic, delicious. I’m writing this review looking forward to my next trip to Hannover, so I can eat it again. The place is small, and not super flashy. We even ended up sitting in the wrong restaurant. Thankfully the waiter told us we were in the wrong place, so pay attention to restaurant pictures and full name. The soup was good, but not as great as the noddle. Starters were also delicious. Definitely a place I recommend in Hannover.

The duck is only a maximum of a grade 3...it used to be better.

Went there for the first time today and absolutely loved it. The food (peanut curry) was rich and tasted amazing! Creamy, spicy...stunning. You didn't have to wait long and the service was friendly and accommodating. All in all, we were very satisfied, can happily recommend Codo and will definitely come back.

This small Vietnamese restaurant has many delicious dishes. Whether you love pasta or rice, there is everything to suit your own taste. I think peanut curry is delicious. I really like the large portion, with or without meat. Service is quick and friendly.

Favorite restaurant in Hanover for a quick dinner. The food is always delicious, the portion size is optimal, the service is always friendly and the food is on the table in a maximum of 20 minutes (even if the store is completely full). Absolute recommendation for curry and Mien Xao Ga (photo).

I got a noodle bowl, but it was drowning in sauce so bad that I needed to get a separate bowl to pour some off. The noodles were kind of soggy. I really liked that they have the option of grilled chicken and extra vegetables. I will try it again but order a rice dish next time.

Unfortunately we didn't like the food at all. It arrived hot, but the vegetables weren't crunchy and the chicken was bland and far too soft. What we also found very strange was that the food was already on our table 3 minutes after we ordered. We probably won't eat here again because the price and quality don't match for us.

Great place with a good atmosphere in summer evening if you get a table outside. I can highly recommend the peanut curry with tofu as a vegan dish. There was plenty of tofu=protein in the meal. The still water from the menu tasted a bit chemical... wouldn't get this one again. But they've got friendly staff and fair prices :)

The food tastes good, but you always miss it when it comes to the service. Very impolite. No smile, no asking if it was tasty, no thanks when paying, overall a rather annoyed manner. The only strange thing is that almost all the ladies are like that. Only the man who is there every now and then is friendly. I only give the three stars for the food

There is very tasty Asian street food here. The atmosphere is very street kitchen style and very rustic. The homemade lemonades are also highly recommended. The service is always quick and very friendly.

Simply delicious! Fast service, didn't have to wait long for food. Typical seating equipment like in Southeast Asia - table with two wooden benches opposite each other.

I treated myself to take-away lunch today. Didn't work at all. The salad was on the warm dish and it was all soggy. Therefore inedible. I won't go there anymore!

Delicious food and given its popularity we are not the only ones.

We start off with five stars. One star less for really unwilling service. One star less for machine soda instead of a bottle just to save some money. One star less because they do not take Visa or MasterCard. One star less. Finally, one star less for promoting people smoking beside me by providing ashtrays.

Always finished very quickly. If you call directly and don't order via online services, it's also very cheap. And the taste is simply great.

I like going there because I like it. The food is on the table in a moderate amount of time. The service is attentive, friendly and a short chat is also possible.

I recently dined at this restaurant and while the food was fine, the service was disappointing. The service was unfriendly and the waitress in particular showed little interest in serving us. Nevertheless, we decided to leave a tip of €5. Surprisingly, the waitress refused the tip, claiming that it was “TOO MUCH”. That was disappointing and unprofessional.

You must have been there the food was delicious, the atmosphere was cool and the service was always very friendly!!! And in terms of price and performance, you can't complain. So dear CODO, keep it up 👌

Unfortunately, we repeatedly experienced today that the order via Lieferando was simply canceled after an hour. Since this has already happened once, I called the restaurant today directly after ordering and asked whether the order had been received. I was assured that the food was coming. Annoying. The food is really great, but unfortunately we won't be ordering any more.

The food is simple but delicious. Vegetarian is easily possible with tofu. Unfortunately, the service is often poor. Today the waitress apparently didn't understand what we wanted and brought something else. Despite pressing questions, she insisted that we must have the wrong dish. It's a shame, we actually like eating here, but it's really a non-starter.

Very tasty, as always. However, both waitresses were so motivated, friendly and euphoric that you felt guilty about having to do work as a guest. Also the question about the receipt (last time we almost paid for a different table at 30% more cost if we hadn't checked) seemed too much. Still 3 stars overall because of the food.

In my opinion, the dishes are very well seasoned and stand out from the average street food. Each dish has its own twist, so it's worth trying something different each time you visit. Also positive: the cooking is significantly low in fat.

I like to eat here often. The food is delicious and comes quickly. Unfortunately, I was told that you couldn't reserve tables, even though I've seen signs on tables to that effect several times.

The food is delicious but the service is just bad. I came alone and had my own table, but it was apparently too big for one guest! As a result, it was offered to a couple who arrived after me, or there was the option of the three of us sitting there, which would have been very amusing for me and the couple. Then another table became available but I was told it was already reserved. When I asked what time, I didn't get an answer, I was just informed that it was already reserved. As if that wasn't enough, I was told "go out and wait on the street" even though it was very cold that day and even their summer terrace wasn't open. I was very upset and of course I left. I really don't know how this kind of customer treatment is even possible. To be honest, I'm disappointed.

A small restaurant with very authentic food. The service is friendly and the food comes very, very quickly. It's hot, flavorful and very tasty. The portions are very large for the relatively low price. In addition to homemade drinks, there are also Asian beers. Clear recommendation. We have been there many times and have never been disappointed!

Nice little shop, music very loud in the empty shop. Classic card that you can find in every shop of this type. Unfortunately a bit very German seasoned. The food was fresh and came quickly, but was very, very bland. Service mixed to unmotivated. Everything is going much better.

Ordered via Lieferando 2 hours before closing time. Waited for about 100 minutes and then the order was canceled without comment and no contact was made. Very annoying, especially when you rely on it and there is no alternative to the time. Questionable again...

Food was good. But no card payment possible due to “poor internet connection”. They could have told us this before ordering, because we didn't have any cash with us and therefore deliberately chose this establishment because card payment is explicitly advertised. It also seemed to affect other customers who didn't have cash on them. We therefore had to stay 20 minutes longer because cash still had to be organized. Card payments were not tested sporadically but were categorically rejected. There was no apology for the inconvenience, it doesn't seem necessary.

Cheap, good food. Served quickly. Tables are a bit small. Service nice and polite. Recommended for a quick, good lunch or dinner. The mango lassi was very tasty but as we all know, that's a matter of taste :)

M3 - Fried noodles with baked chicken, my recommendation. Fast and tasty. The clinics are well attended at lunchtime and delivery services are also available.

The dishes now cost €11. A few meters further you can get the same meal for €7.50. Unfortunately now too expensive.

A lovingly furnished small restaurant. The atmosphere was small but cozy. The service was very friendly. The food came promptly and was beautifully prepared. The price is right, the portions were good. We found the food really tasty. Gladly again.

Das Essen war super lecker und ging wirklich schnell. Auch unter der Woche war es um 19 Uhr kein Problem einen Tisch für 4 Personen zu bekommen. Viele Fleischgerichte können auch vegetarisch oder vegan bestellt werden!

Der Laden ist so kalt, dass sogar die Kellnerin ihre Winterjacke bei der Arbeit trägt!!!!!!!!!!!! Nachdem wir sie darauf ansprachen, bestätigte sie ganz trocken "Ja ist eben so". Das Essen hat keine 3 Minuten gebraucht und war da mit der Vorspeise zusammen. Alles war kalt und hat überhaupt nicht geschmeckt. Als wir die Kellnerin darauf ansprachen meinte sie "ist eben so"! Wir baten sie uns warmes Essen zu bringen. Brachte sie uns das Essen in der Mikrowelle aufgewärmt und meinte eine andere option hätten wir nicht. Wir haben denen gesagt, dass wir unzufrieden waren und eine schlechte Bewertung abgeben werden, meinte die Kellnerin, dass wir tun sollen was wir wollen und es bei denen eben so sei. Verschwendet euer Geld nicht in dem Restaurant!

A cute vietnamese restaurant with tasty food. It's location is easy to get to from public transport and is walking distance from the main train station. I really enjoyed the vibe inside with brightly painted walls and warm interiors. It is quite a small space inside and they don't let you make reservations in advance, so there is a bit of waiting time to get a table. The menu is quite extensive and there are a variety of vegetarian and vegan options, all other dishes can be made vegetarian aswell. I had a jasmine tea and kurbis-tofu coconut milk gravy with rice noodles and I would really recommend, it was vey flavorful and portions were huge for the price.

absolut empfehlenswert! Die Speisen sind frisch zubereitet und richtig lecker. Sehr gutes Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Wenn ich in der List zu tun habe, gehe ich immer dort essen.

Leckeres Essen, freundlicher Service, gern wieder.

Kokosmilch-Suppe enthält Milch oder Sahne, je nach Koch (?) Reis mit Hähnchen ohne Gemüse übersteigt die Flexibilität des Personals. Fleischvergiftungen sind schon mal möglich. Also: besser Veggie wählen, Laktoseintoleranz oder Glutenunverträglichkeit sollte man besser nicht haben!

Grundsätzlich ist das Essen schon echt lecker, wenn man drin sitzt hat man auch eine erhöhte Chance bedient zu werden, denn obwohl der Raum ziemlich klein ist, wird man gerne übersehen, und draußen sitzen, da kann man lange warten bis jemand kommt. Trotzdem gehen wir öfter hin, kann ja nicht alles perfekt sein. Eine Sache finde ich aber garnicht gut, habe eine Unverträglichkeit gegen Knoblauch, man versicherte mir mehrmals, das dort ohne Knoblauch gekocht wird, jedes mal trotzdem Bauch schmerzen gehabt. Das letzte mal als ich dort war, fragte ich ob man sich sicher sei, das mein Gericht kein Knoblauch enthält, naja jetzt hieß es , alle Gerichte wären MIT Knoblauch, daher nun verwirrt, könnte für Allergiker unangenehm werden!!! Bitte um konkretere Informationen bei konkretem Fragen! Ergänzend ist mir heute zum dritten mal,die Unfreundlichkeit der Servicekraft aufgefallen,sehr patzige Antworten auf meine Fragen zum Essen,das muss nicht sein,ein nettes lächeln kostet nichts, dementsprechend werde ich einen Stern weniger geben als zuvor!

Ich liebe CODO! Das Essen schmeckt - immer - hervorragend. Ich kann vor allem das Reiscurry empfehlen; aber die anderen Gerichte, die bisher probiert habe, sind auch super! Das Personal ist außerdem total freundlich. Muss man also unterstützen!

Super lecker , schnell und super Service

Ich finde CODO sehr toll! Aber die Qualität der Gerichte lässt nach. Die Bratnudeln und der Bratreis waren total durchgekocht und haben alt geschmeckt. Schon das 3. Mal in letzter Zeit. Ich finde das extrem schade! Ich weiss nicht, ob das mit der Preissteigerung zu tun hat, aber finde sowas sollte es in einem Restaurant nicht geben. :-/

Sehr leckeres Essen, Gemüse knackig, nicht verkocht, vernünftige Preise.

Wir sind auch sehr von codo überzeugt, das auch schon seit vielen Jahren ! Die Gerichte sind immer lecker und auch die Portionen ausreichend , was ich allerdings etwas fraglich finde ist die mittlerweile 3. Preiserhöhung! Klar Inflation hin oder her , vor ca 4 Jahren haben wir die Hauptspeisen noch für 6,90?!€ bekommen ! Mittlerweile 11€ finde ich dann doch schon etwas happig!

Das Servicepersonal ist super freundlich. Das Essen schmeckt super und die Portionen sind groß und ausreichend. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist top. Immer wieder gerne.

Essen ist OK, berechnen aber bei einem Gericht ohne Soße 3€ für ein Klecks Süß-Sauer-Soße, welche aus dem 10L Bottich kommt. Ist schon echt doof sowas zu machen.
