This was super super nice service. The food was simply delicious. But the service surpassed all of that. It's rare to have such a nice staff who listen to guests' wishes, ask questions and take their time. Thanks to the staff for the evening.

The service staff are always extremely friendly and accommodating. Itamae is also always very nice, especially when our child enthusiastically admires his art. The food is of very good quality and always delicious. I would classify the ambience as upscale. Very tasteful, charming and not overloaded. You also have a great view of the Altenburg from the large window front. Worth a visit for anyone who appreciates Japanese food. The price is upper middle class, as is the food and the ambience.

The ambience was really nice and the sushi itself was tasty, but it was only half a roll, which was expensive for the price. Also, the service wasn't good. I changed a Coke to Zero and got an extra Coke, that wasn't the point, it was that there was a lot of discussion and in the end I just left the Coke and had to pay for it in the end. The next problem we faced was that I didn't want any raw fish and ordered shrimp sushi. When the food came, I got salmon sushi. So the communication wasn't good, so I wouldn't come again.

I can honestly say that the Cocoon in Bamberg was the best restaurant I have ever eaten in. I've eaten a lot of sushi, but no other restaurant even comes close to this sushi. The other dishes are also amazing. If you pick up the food, you get a drink while you wait. I haven't had it anywhere else. The service is also really great. Even when there is a lot going on, you will be well looked after. The restaurant is also really nice to look at. A lot of effort was put into the interior design. Everything really fits here!! Definitely a heartfelt recommendation from me!

It was our first time in the Cocoon at the Brose Arena. There are enough parking spaces here, the entrance area could certainly be made more friendly, you either walk across the terrace or past it, it doesn't really look nice! The food was delicious (individual taste!!) and the portions were large enough. The service was friendly and good.

The food is always absolutely amazing! Super fresh, delicious and you really never have to wait long. The service is really great and I really like the ambience. Great parking and despite the fact that Kaufland is nearby, it's a very quiet location.

We were there again for the sisters' evening. The restaurant space inside is beautiful. The sun terrace faces the parking lot, but is narrow and has a few stumbling blocks. (railings wobble, water drains buckled, narrow spaces in the entrance area...) Food and drinks are good and affordable. The service is good and attentive.

We celebrated my sister-in-law's birthday at the location. I can only recommend the ramen with tofu and vegetables. Very tasty and really well seasoned. I also tried the sushi and was really impressed. I haven't eaten so well in a long time. The personnel is very friendly and courteous. I'd love to come back.

We were sitting outside. Food was good and arrived quickly. But the furniture wasn't really nice. Looked so cheap. And then the table next door got a salt mill from Lidl 🤣 never experienced anything like that. So a restaurant in this price range should be able to afford a normal salt mill. It used to be better there.

We can only recommend this location. A great atmosphere, very nice and courteous service staff who also respond to special requests and the food... Super fresh, very tasty and absolutely ok in terms of price. We had sushi, soup, salad and dishes with peanut sauce, veggi and duck. All very tasty.

Restaurant Cocoon in Bamberg – A culinary experience for the whole family Our visit to the Cocoon restaurant in Bamberg was a real highlight. We went there as a family for lunch and were not disappointed. From the first appetizer to the last sip of the delicious jasmine tea, everything was perfect. We started our culinary adventure with the starters Sate Gai and Dim Sum. The sate gai skewers were tender and perfectly seasoned, while the dim sum was a taste explosion. A promising introduction to what was to come. For the main courses we chose a colorful mix of Smoky Tuna White, Tuna Don, Ramen Ga and various sushi variations. Every bite was a delight. The Smoky Tuna White impressed with its smoky aroma and the perfect texture of the fish. The Tuna Don offered a harmonious combination of fresh tuna and well-seasoned rice. The Ramen Ga was delicious and warming, just the thing for a culinary excursion into Asian cuisine. The sushi variations were fresh, creative and very attractively presented. Not only the food but also the service was excellent. The staff was attentive, friendly and always tried to make our stay as pleasant as possible. Another plus point: The restaurant is pet-friendly and allows dogs, which was particularly pleasing for us as dog owners. About the drinks: The Home Made Ice Tea was refreshing and perfect for a warm day. The jasmine tea developed a pleasant aroma and was a wonderful addition to the Asian dishes. The cocktails were also great – creative, well mixed and simply delicious. Overall, our visit to the Cocoon in Bamberg was a completely successful experience. We can highly recommend the restaurant and are already looking forward to our next visit. A must for anyone who appreciates great food and excellent service!

We have been regular guests at Coocon for years and have continued to come often since we moved to Forchheimer Str. The service is always courteous, friendly and professional. The menu has something for every taste, even my potato-loving older family members will be happy here. The food and drinks are always presented extremely tastefully and attractively. In addition, the dishes are always delicious and prepared with a lot of love. Absolute recommendation!

Landed very spontaneously or unexpectedly in the Cocoon this afternoon. The capacity in the restaurant was very manageable and I was probably very welcome as a short-term guest. I was greeted very warmly by the service and absolutely courteous. I was kindly offered a fine table at the large window front with a view of the Altenburg and the old town. Regular menu and lunch menu were immediately ready! The restaurant itself impresses with its very coordinated, modern and well-rounded style. My eyes were focused on the lunch menu, so I don't want to mention or review the regular menu any further. Lunch included selected sushi in various variations, at a fair price and, as a goodie, a surprise starter: I chose 6 crunchy rolls with shrimp, salmon, cucumber, avocado and creamy cheese. The surprise starter was a crisp, fresh salad with lettuce, cucumber, peppers, two sesame seeds, mayo-soy sauce and a miniature of baked chicken strips (both cost me 10.90 for lunch) The sushi came beautifully arranged on a slate plate, draped on a rolled up bamboo mat, ginger and wasabi included. Additionally at the table there was a small square bowl for soy sauce and a small round plate in addition to the sushi... The taste is fresh, but the Crunchy Rolls have a subtle undertaste of frying fat. Certainly not serious, but noticeable. That's the only point of criticism. I really enjoyed it and not only did I have personal and courteous service, but I also had a good lunch!

Great facility. Super friendly team. Excellent food, very decoratively served. Fair prices. Unfortunately, the Vietnamese part of the main courses is decidedly neglected. The entire Xa Ot series is not there, which tastes so great with all types of meat and fish.

I'm always amazed at how great this restaurant is. Whether eating on site or taking away. The food tastes really good and the service is very nice. While waiting I received a free drink as an apology for the slight delay. (5-10 minutes upon collection)

It's a shame when you have to wait 20 minutes to place your first order and the soup as a starter comes to the table lukewarm after an hour. The food itself was very tasty and the prices were ok too. What's great is that the costs for parking are covered. The restaurants in the city center can follow an example!

We spent a wonderful evening in the Cocoon on January 13th, 2024. A reservation is recommended, the service personally accompanied us to our table and gave us a friendly welcome. Our questions about sushi were also answered extensively. The menu is varied, but the two of us decided on sushi. The quality of the sushi was great, served on a black slate plate it also made a great impression on the eye. The drinks menu is also varied, we opted for the homemade lemonade, which was good, but a bit too sweet. For dessert we ordered a chocolate cake, but we shouldn't have had it as it wasn't a taste highlight despite the beautiful plate. Result: nice atmosphere, very good service and the sushi is really, really good. Thank you!

The food has deteriorated enormously, especially the sushi. The service was also terrible. Unfortunately the price-performance ratio doesn't fit. The decor is nice but the atmosphere wasn't great at all.

Tuesday, February 20, 2024, 6:45 p.m. - 8 p.m The vegetarian sushi was very tasty and fresh. I had the same as my friend and felt his portion was bigger than mine. It can happen sometimes, but it's rather inappropriate at the same table. I am aware of the problem of staff shortages, I work in nursing. However, I take care of my patients first and then everything else. The service staff here probably sees things a little differently. First the dishes and glasses are taken care of and then the card is brought to the guest or asked if there is anything else they would like. The service seems very chaotic and poorly organized. I really liked the atmosphere so far, but that evening all the guests were gathered together in one area, which was a bit depressing at times.

Came to the restaurant by chance and I have to say it was very good. Food was very tasty and the staff was very friendly. We especially thought the counter lady was great. If it takes us back to Bamberg we will come back. Greetings J & J

Food was OK but not exceptional. Quantity was good. However, waiting around 1 hour is too much. When the drinks were empty, no service staff came to take a new order. We won't come anymore. The standard text that the operator can find here under every negative post doesn't make things any better.

Great and large selection of Asian dishes. From classic starters such as rolls, baked things in tempura batter, soups/ramen, to sushi to main dishes such as curry, panfried or grilled with rice/noodles, there is something for everyone who loves Asian cuisine. I always like the summer roll (if you like coriander) and the vegetables in the tempura batter beforehand. The spring rolls were good too. Sushi also very good, California Roll 👍 Personally, I recommend the Udon Crispy Duck (udon noodles in a kind of miso sauce with vegetables, slightly hot/spicy, with crispy duck), a dream! We also liked the “Smoky Beef” from the grill: it’s a juicy rib-eye steak with a yakiniku sauce, served with vegetables and rice. Cocktails were also good, there is local beer from Bamberg from Fässla. The homemade iced teas are really delicious! The service is always very friendly and actually on the ball, unless there is a lot going on (e.g. Saturday evening and the Bamberg Baskets home game next door at the same time 😅), then it happened once that the food came before the drinks, but that only happened once and the place was really completely full. Otherwise always great!

Was there with my girlfriend on Valentine's Day. When we reserved in advance we were told that there would be a time slot of 2 hours. We therefore made reservations from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. When we got there shortly before 7 p.m., we had to wait outside for half an hour because the restaurant couldn't keep its own time slots. The guests in front of us probably had to wait so long for their food that everything was pushed back. At 7:30 p.m. we finally got a table and ordered the food right along with the drinks. A soup as a starter and a sushi platter for 2 people as a main course. The soup came before the drinks. The service was massively overwhelmed that evening. It gave the impression that the operator didn't want to miss a single euro in sales and had to take everything that was possible. In addition to the loud restaurant where the tables were occupied several times, as mentioned, all to-go orders were also accepted (this line also went all the way to the main entrance). Our food finally came at 9:10 p.m. after 1:40 hours of waiting. With the main course we ordered a second drink, which arrived just as the main course was being cleared away. To be honest, we didn't expect it anymore. At 10 p.m. we were treated to a neighboring table full of young people (around 13-14 years old, youth protection?!) who were having loud conversations alongside all the couples along the lines of "vallah brother, kiss your heart" and thus killing the remaining mood have. The counter in the middle of the room was filled to the brim with dirty glasses and plates. When I wanted to pay by card, I had to go behind the counter for a moment (the device's battery was empty and the cable felt like it was 50cm long). Here I was able to marvel at how the sushi chefs (front cooking) stood with their shoes in a sea of ​​rice and other ingredients and the color of the work surface was no longer recognizable. I understand that on days like this a restaurateur tries to get the most out of everything and utilize everything to the best possible extent. I have no understanding when maximizing sales comes at the expense of guests, service and quality (especially since the prices aren't cheap either). Now to the positive: The food was good. Both starters and sushi were plentiful and tasty. The waiter also brought us a mango panna cotta on the house after the neighboring table also expressed their displeasure. Overall, I wouldn't go to Cocoon again if you have any other plans that evening. This applies to events such as Valentine's Day, as well as before events in the Brose Arena (we had similar experiences there).

Unfortunately my visit to Cocoon was very disappointing. Despite having a reservation, we had to wait a long time for a table, and when we finally had a seat, the wait for the food also dragged on. The quality of the food did not meet expectations and in no way justified the long waiting time. Overall a disappointing experience. No more!

We had reserved a table for 8pm on Valentine's Day but when we arrived there was a queue of 50 people who had all also reserved at 8pm. We finally decided to go to another restaurant because we would have had to wait at least 1 hour even though we had reserved. Extremely disappointing organization!

Reserved at 8, we got our table at 9. Our starter arrived at 10:30 p.m.!!!! The service was overloaded to the max, the bell at the bar was constantly pressed and everyone was simply unfriendly, annoyed and angry… We finished eating at 11:30 p.m. First & last time

I came here with my boyfriend for Valentine's day, we had a reservation at 8 pm ( we thought by get a reservation a lil late the place wouldn't be packed and we would get our food relatively quick, oh boy were we wrong) we arrived at 7.58 pm and there was a veeeery long line to even get in and it was raining so it messed up my hair pretty bad, we went to the start of the line and asked to get a table, cause we weren't gonna wait for around 35-40 people to sit (with a reservation made 5 days prior) anyway we waited 45 minutes to get a table cause they couldn't find our reservation (even after I showed them that we made a phone call at their place the 9th February) when we finally sat down they didn't even brought us a Menu and after 25 minutes we decided to go get one, to atleast pick what we were gonna order, after another 25 minutes somebody finally came to take our order, we ordered drinks and good at once hoping that it would make the wait a bit shorter, after 20 minutes we got our 2 cokes and after 1 hour and 30 minutes of almost falling asleep and arguing about dumb stuff cause we were both "hangry" we got our food and demolished it in about 15 minutes, we then asked for the check, since it had already got pretty late and we had a 1 hour and 35 minutes drive to go back home and having to wake up at 5am to go to work, the check took 20 minutes to arrive and trying to make up for the long wait we were offered a panna cotta on the house and after another 30 minutes of waiting for a pre-made, done dessert, we decided it was enough and we weren't gonna spend the night in there and we left, also they must have finished the sushi rice at some point cause my sushi was made with basmati rice (something I don't want if I'm spending 55 bucks for one person) so we're definitely not gonna come back ever again.

Had to wait a very long time for food. The waitresses were on point and very friendly. Unfortunately we had the table right next to the door and the door was always open.

We mainly had a young man in service who worked very attentively and professionally. The ambience is very cozy with pleasant background music. The food was on the table quickly, but the restaurant was only moderately busy on a Tuesday evening. The taste was also convincing.

Sehr gutes Restaurant, nettes Personal und stylisch eingerichtet. Bei uns wurde leider das Trockeneis beim Sushi vergessen. Wir haben dann eine große Schüssel mit Trockeneis bekommen und der Effekt war super. Außerdem konnten wir das bei einem guten Nachtisch genießen.

Ambiente schön, Sushi einfach nicht lecker.

Die Vorspeise war ein absoluter Traum, ich als "Nicht-Fisch" Esser habe sogar gleich ein paar Wochen später wieder das gleiche bestellt. Da ich ein absoluter Entenfan bin, wahr ich minimal enttäuscht das meine Ente sehr fettig war und mir hat das knusprige gefehlt. Die Nudeln waren exzellent! Wir werden Cocoon wieder besuchen um einige Gerichte zu probieren. Tolles Restaurant und ich als "Feinschmecker" (ich finde bei jeder Speise etwas was mir nicht passt) kann es absolut empfehlen :-)

Hab gerade bei Lieferando bestellt. Der junge Herr der geliefert hat war total nett, mein Essen ist vorzüglich und ich hab sehr schöne Stäbchen und eine hübsche Verpackung dazu bekommen. Die Behälter sind sogar wiederverwertbar und das macht bei mir einen super guten Eindruck ! Bin sehr sehr zufrieden

Das Essen war gut, nicht überragend aber im Rahmen des erwarteten. Das Ambiente ist sehr ansprechend. Der Service.... Wir waren das erste Mal da. Der Service war ehrlich gesagt schlecht. Lag es daran, dass Freitag war? Oder daran, dass an dem Abend ein Konzert in der Brose Arena stattfand? Auf jeden Fall dauerte es recht lange, bis die Bestellung aufgenommen wurde. Dann wurde, ebenfalls nach längerer Wartezeit ein falsches Getränk gebracht. Von 4 bestellten Gerichten wurden 3 auf einer Platte angerichtet (mit 2 Tellern für 3 Personen?!) Die bestellten Desserts wurden offensichtlich vergessen und erst auf Nachfrage gebracht. Insgesamt wurde das Cocoon seinem durchaus guten Ruf zumindest an diesen Abend für uns nicht gerecht.

Tolle Location, freundliches Personal und das Essen war auch sehr lecker.

Außerordentlich gutes Restaurant. Von vorne bis hinten, ob Ambiente oder Essen, meckern findet hier nur auf hohem Niveau statt. Egal ob Sushi oder andere asiatische Gerichte...alles frisch und mega lecker. Der Service ist wirklich hervorragend, die Kellner sehr zuvorkommend und höflich. Für diese Qualität zahlt man gerne ein paar Euro mehr. Einziges kleines Manko, wie gesagt...meckern auf hohem Niveau...die Tische sollten mal ein wenig gerichtet werden. Unserer hatte leider etwas zu sehr gewickelt.

Wir waren unter der Woche abends dort zum Essen. Das erste Mal seit dem Umzug vom Bahnhof. Ein sehr angenehmer und nicht überladener Style. Trotz der größeren Anzahl an Gästen hatte man seine Ruhe und war „für sich“. Das Personal war sehr freundlich, schnell und zuvorkommend. Wir hatten alle Ramen mit einer Vorspeise. Beides hätte nach unseren persönlichen Geschmack etwas wärmer sein dürfen. War aber noch ok. Deswegen auch der Sternabzug. Alles in allem hat es uns sehr gefallen und man wird uns dort als Gäste sicher wiedersehen.

It was so delicious! My sister and I went together and we speak till today about how we have to go there again! I especially recommend the Katsudon and the dessert black rice on ice! SO GOOD! But we loved everything we had. Und they all were extreamly friendly too! :))

Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet und das Personal sehr freundlich. Beim Sitzen im Freien stört ein wenig der Straßenlärm. Ansonsten sehr empfehlenswert.

Sehr schön eingerichtetes Lokal zum Essen gehen in Bamberg. Die Bedienung ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben nicht lange auf das Essen gewartet und es war geschmacklich super lecker und frisch. Der Fisch war butterweich. Es war nicht unser letzter Besuch! (:
