A very nice location in Landstuhl. It has a unique atmosphere and, due to its proximity to Ramstein Air Base, is also frequented by US military personnel. The service is attentive and efficient, even when the restaurant is full. The food and drink menu offers a good selection, and there's definitely something for everyone. We deducted one point for the ambiance because of the seating arrangement. We'd gladly come back.

I totally love this place and come here for years. Many times do pickup. Definitely my favorite place in Landstuhl. My favorite is carpaccio and steak with Béchamel sauce 😍😍

Very good essence with also very good service

A really cool pub where you can also get excellent food. The regular rump steak is excellent, and the schnitzels are good. The only downside during my two visits was that the room was far too warm.

We ate there last night and it was amazing. Everything went really well and tasted great. We will be back.

We came here for dinner and it’s such a cute place! Our server recommended the Rigatoni with salmon, shrimp & white wine sauce. It was well seasoned, savory and had herbs like dill and chives, highly recommend! Also it’s good to know hotel parking is free if you eat here, just ask your server

My wife and I always come here for a nightcap after dinner before going up to the the hotel. This evening we enjoyed a second glass of wine since it was a lovely evening and there were seats out on the patio. The service is always friendly! If you want to fly, you must get into the Cockpit.

An extraordinary place for aviation enthusiasts. The entire decor evokes the world of aeronautics. Tastefully and thoughtfully decorated, the menu offers a good selection, including options for vegetarians. Prices are reasonable, and while the dishes aren't exceptional, they're still very good. The cocktail and aperitif menu offers a good selection of choices, with prices that are also reasonable. The service is very friendly and accommodating. Again, the setting is truly fantastic for aviation enthusiasts.

Amazing aviation themed bar/restaurant, Dry Aged Steaks, German delights, great beverage selection.

I may be a little biased as I was so happy to be able to see a place where my spouse used to spend a lot of time back in the day, but we were both happy with our food. The server was eager and earnest. It was some of the better food we had in Germany. Love the theme and has a nice outdoor area. Wish we had stayed in the hotel as well.

Went here for my anniversary dinner and had a great time. The staff were very professional and lovely. The vibe was chill and the food was very good. It’s on the pricier side but I would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants a higher end experience for a special event.

The drinks were flowing and good times were had. I inhaled 2 delicious Mojitos made by bartender Swany (sp). He made awesome Mojitos. Our server Ana was also very attentive and friendly. I had the Jager schnitzel and my wife had the vege burger. My daughter had the buffalo chicken salad. The food was incredible. Their homemade ranch was equally fantastic. My wife also had the pineapple sunshine. I would definitely recommend this place to everyone who happens upon this quaint little village in Germany

We had reserved a table for two at 9 p.m. in the evening. The only positive thing I can say about this evening is that the service was very friendly and gave us good advice about our choice of food. However, we were also informed at the same time that the kitchen closes at 10 p.m. and that we therefore had to order quickly. We were told they specialized in steaks, so we both opted for a steak, cooked medium rare. As a starter we ordered chips with salsa and supposedly homemade spring rolls. The chips tasted old, as if they had been sitting outside for days and were therefore inedible. The spring rolls arrived at the table steaming hot, as if they had just come out of the microwave. Shortly afterwards the steaks arrived, unfortunately I was disappointed to find that the steak was well cooked, dry and tough. Unfortunately I had to send it back because I wasn't prepared to pay 30 euros for it. The dessert, apple strudel with vanilla ice cream, was already served to us since the kitchen closes at 10 p.m., and the ice cream was melted by the time we were finished with the other food. My husband's glass was stained with red lipstick and needed to be replaced. In summary, not a nice evening, overpriced for low quality. We won't come back here.

During the month of August, I had the pleasure of dining at Cockpit Lounge in Landstuhl almost every day, and it was an absolutely fantastic experience. The quality of the food is consistently outstanding, with every dish prepared to perfection. While the entire menu is impressive, their steaks are truly exceptional—perfectly cooked, tender, and packed with flavor. What truly sets Cockpit Lounge apart is the incredible staff. Their professionalism, warmth, and attentiveness create a welcoming and enjoyable atmosphere that enhances every meal. Whether it’s for a quick bite or a relaxed evening, they make every visit feel special. Spending a month here in August gave me the opportunity to fully appreciate not just the delicious food but also the exceptional service and inviting atmosphere. I can’t recommend Cockpit Lounge enough to anyone visiting or living in Landstuhl.

Last week we had dinner with 4 people on Wednesday.....The atmosphere was very cozy, the service was very friendly and attentive, the best spring rolls in 2 versions where we have ever eaten, the food was very tasty for everyone, only 1 Jägerschnitzel, which was also nice and tender, the sauce was unfortunately not particularly tasty....we would be happy to come back

Gary!! I've been coming to the CL for over 8 years now. I've met some cool people there over the years and love visiting Jackie et al. A few days ago I came in for your delicious Cobb Salad. When I asked for a "to go" box, I was hit up €1.50 for butter, and €3.00 for the salad box and tiny container for the dressing! Nickel and diming us to death. We are airline personnel and don't get any type of discount. And don't forget, we supported your restaurant all during Covid!

Place to be After work, Community und Business meetings

Wir waren schön öfter in der Cockpit Lounge aber so schlecht wie am Mittwoch, den 21.8. wurden wir noch nie bedient, nämlich so gut wie gar nicht. Der Tisch lag genau hinter der Eingangstür scheinbar außerhalb jedes Gesichtsfeldes aller Angestellten. Es waren ja genug da. Von 20:00 -22:00 Uhr zweimal am Tisch. Einmal zum Essen aufnehmen und das Essen bringen. Leere Teller standen über eine Std. auf dem Tisch. Bis es mir gereicht hat und ich eine Beschwerde an der Bar abgegeben habe. Wir bekamen ein Getränk aufs Haus. Das ist aber nicht unser Ziel wenn man Freunde einlädt. Das Essen war wie immer gut. So schnell nicht wieder

I love this restaurant, when I am in Landstuhl it is my go to. I often stay at the Christine Hotel which is attached. The food is the best around: unmatched. The Old Pilot gin and tonic is the best I've had in my life. Get the goulash soup and any one of the schnitzels that they offer, you will not be disappointed. My only "complaint" is that at the end of the meal when it's time to pay your check, the bartenders and servers waste no time telling you that if you want to leave a tip .... this is how you do it. I made mention of that to the server the other day. I said to him I'm an American we do that in my country, you don't need to show me. And he gave me a look of surprise. I know tipping in Germany is not commonplace. The fact that this place serves mostly Americans, they are capitalizing on our tipping culture. Just a tad overbearing in my humble opinion. I wouldn't expect that in such a classy establishment. I wanted to make readers aware.

Nice ambience and good service. The BBQ burger was okay for the price. Unfortunately I cannot recommend the starter. I ordered the propeller poppers, which actually just resemble chili cheese nuggets from well-known chains. These were rather disappointing in terms of taste and, in my opinion, very, very expensive at €10.80 for 10 small pieces.

Then you know what you have 😁😎 Great cocktails, food and the staff is great anyway. Everyone was nice and very accommodating.

I finished my week-long visit to Landstuhl with a dinner reservation for five. Once again, I was not let down by the great food and friendly wait staff at the Cockpit Lounge. I ordered the lightly fried cod fish in a curry sauce with vegetables and rice. The rest of the folks at the table ordered various dishes. Perhaps the best was one of the dry-aged steak. My friend gave me a bite of his medium rare steak and it was perfect. My work mate ordered an appetizer of egg rolls. These were some of the thickest and heartiest egg rolls ever. He also ordered the steak salad with plenty of steak on top. Another colleague went with the salmon with rice in a red tomato sauce. I had this before and it is good. The last person ordered the filet mignon with Bearnaise sauce. It also came with greens and rice. All meals came with a salad, except the salad with steak. I enjoyed three glasses of Grauburgunder over the course of a two hour meal. While my meal was good, I must say that the steak people chose better. All three of these dishes were incredible. I must also state how wonderfully decorated this place is. Make sure you visit the Cockpit the next time you travel to Landstuhl.

The food was very tasty, the atmosphere was very loud, the service ignored our comments, we had to wait forever until glasses etc were cleared away, let alone asked if we would like to order anything else. It used to be better.

I like the place, for professional meetings you do not impose excessive prices but everyone will find a dish adapted to their financial means and can also enjoy themselves. A little noisy at times. Food was very tasty. Service very nice. However, once the food was eaten, they only came by very rarely. It was hardly possible to order something to drink again.

Our first visit, we were 6 people. We reserved in advance, which was also an advantage. It was crowded for dinner. The service lady was very nice and attentive and also funny. Food came relatively quickly. The men ate steaks and were satisfied. We girls had the Cockpit Burger (also with sweet potatoes upon request) which was large and tasty. One had gourmet toast, which was also delicious. Salads are available with dressing of your choice. Champions cream soup was also very good as a starter. In fact, we also had two desserts and didn't regret it, since we were still early I was allowed to take a look at the restaurant (I've posted photos) the atmosphere was convincing and everything was really beautifully done. What we forgot to try was the good cocktails. We will definitely do that again.

It is definitely the best place in the area. The food is delicious and meat is high quality and if you are lucky get here a dry eged stake. Vibrant atmosphere, amazing interior. Staff is very supportive, friendly, and welcoming. Special danke schön to Jana.

When trying to decide with friends where to eat, The Cockpit lounge always makes the list. Plenty of Americam and German food dishes to choose. Excellent drink menu. If you have an issue, the staff is able and willing to help. Choice that was Jagerschnitzel with oven potatoes.

Very lively place for a hotel bar and restaurant. A lot of aviation related decor throughout but tastefully done. Service was excellent considering the crowd size at the time. Dinner was a breaded pork chop that was on special that evening. Nothing amazing, but done nicely, and what you would anticipate getting. If you want good German cuisine, I'd have no problem recommending them. Overall, a good time and I'm glad I chose to come here.

My wife and I greatly enjoyed the atmosphere and drinks. The Cockpit burger plate was just amazing! We had an🍎 appletini and a🍌 banana-tini 🥂 which were made extremely well! Make sure to park in the hotel private parking!

Die Bedienungen waren sehr zuvorkommend und erfüllten jeden Wunsch völlig unkompliziert. Das Ambiente ist fantastisch. Ich werde sehr gerne immer wieder dort Essen gehen. Es ist sehr zu empfehlen!! Absolutely amazing. My husband & I came for a dinner after being in the hospital due to an amputation for several months. It was the first night we spent outside of the hospital and just wanted to feel normal again. The staff did just that & more. They helped us lift the wheelchair to get into the restaurant, the sat us somewhere easily accessible and treated us so kindly. Not to mention the food was absolutely amazing. Cooked to perfection & was absolutely delicious. We will be back!

Ich war gestern das erste Mal in der Cockpit Lounge und kann nur positives berichten. Wir hatten 2 Flammkuchen, die beide reichlich belegt und schmackhaft waren, Preis-Leistung war hier TOP!!! Die Weine, die zur Auswahl standen, waren sehr gut und der Preis war auch mehr als fair. Der Service war zu unserer vollsten Zufriedenheit, die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und hatte einen guten Humor, sie scheint ihren Job zu mögen und gutzumachen. Das Ambiente war genau unser Fall, wir haben beide ein fable für Flugzeuge, was in dem Restaurant als Konzept sehr schön und stilvoll umgesetzt wurde. Wir hatten einen schönen Abend, mit gutem essen, leckeren Getränke und einem hohen wohlfühl Faktor. Die Bewertungen mit 1 oder 2 Sternen kann ich leider nicht nachvollziehen, wahrscheinlich sind die Gäste mit dem falschen Fuß aufgestanden und haben eine unverhältnismäßige und unfaire Bewertung abgegeben.

Außergewöhnlich schönes Ambiente. Zu Beginn war es mir im Eingangsbereich zu hektisch bezogen auf das Personal. Wir hatten dann unseren Tisch aber im hinteren Bereich, wo es dann doch ruhiger zuging. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und wir bekamen auch recht schnell unsere Getränke und das Essen. Dieses war überdurchschnittlich schön angerichtet. Geschmacklich hat mir hier aber dann doch was gefehlt. Es war nicht schlecht, aber es hat mich auch nicht umgehauen. Verwirrt war ich, als ich ein großes Mineralwasser mit Zitrone bestellt habe und mir dann eine Flasche angeboten wurde. Zum Glück haben wir dann die Flasche zu zweit bestellt, da wir eine 1,5 Liter Plastik-Flasche Volvic stilles Wasser bekamen. Was mich noch etwas stört…Man findet auf der Homepage keine Preise. Insgesamt war das Essen preislich aber im Rahmen und optisch wirklich schön angerichtet.

I have been to the bar during several visits to Landstuhl. This time with my wife, we came here every night for a glass of wine or two before bed. We did dine here on the evening we arrived for convenience. We had some jalapeño poppers, which were decent. My wife like them more than me. I had a made to order pizza that was really good. My wife had the salmon in a tomato sauce with rice. You can always count on a decent meal, but the service is what makes this place so fun!

Die Speisekarte war sehr schmutzig (im Innenteil mit Essensreste vermutlich noch vom Vorgänger) oder noch älter. Der Beilagesalat zum Jägerschnitzel war vermutlich noch von Samstag. Es wurde versucht die welken Blätter und das vertrocknete Radischen mit der Salatsoße zu kaschieren. Die Pommes zum Jägerschnitzel waren noch fast roh. Rigatoni mit Lachs und Shrimps waren für das Geld der blanke Hohn. Ein kleiner Shrimps schaffte es auf den Teller. Eigentlich war die Cockpit Lounge früher eine glatte 5 Sterne Bewertung, was ist da in der Zwischenzeit passiert? ( aber kommt mir nicht mit Corona) Das Essen war leider sein Geld nicht wert. Ich muss leider sagen das ich bei MC Donalds vermutlich besser gegessen hätte.

Ein schöner Ort, innen und aussen seit Jahren beste Service. Das Essen ist auch phänomenal.

Schönes Ambiente und gute Cocktails. Wir mussten an der Bar Platz nehmen, da wir keine Reservierung hatten. Ich sitze gerne an der Bar ist aber vielleicht nicht für jeden was. Reservierung unbedingt zu empfehlen auch unter der Woche.

Wirklich super gutes essen. Sehr schmackhaft und perfekt abgeschmeckt. Das Personal super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Ambiente Amerikanisch aber super cooler Stil und super eingerichtet. Die Cocktails und die Getränke allgemein super im Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Die Musik sehr gut gewählt und zu der Lokalität passend. Wir waren sehr zufrieden und gerne immer wieder. Empfehlung von uns vorher einen Tisch reservieren denn um so später es wurde um so voller wurde es (wir hatten reserviert). Nur zu empfehlen!!

Die Cocktails und die Bedienung sind super klasse wie eh und je. Nur leider gibt es kein Popcorn mehr, was wir alle super schade finden.

Wir hatten die Burger gewählt. Das Fleisch war gut, insgesamt war alles lecker. Da ich aber schon häufig bessere Burger gegessen habe, war es nur etwas besser als der Durchschnitt.

Das Ambiente ist stimmig. Thema Flugzeug wurde hier gut umgesetzt. Die Speisekarte ist recht klein gehalten. Das Essen kam sehr zügig. Geschmacklich war es okay. Vom Hocker reißen tut es einen jedoch nicht. Die Bar Damen waren recht laut unterwegs. Gelästere über Gäste welche "sicher nicht reserviert haben, das seh ich schon." Die privat Gespräche hinter der Bar waren teilweise auch sehr lebhaft. Eine trank den Rest des Cocktails der soeben gemixt wurde aber nichtmehr ins Glas gepasst hat. Dieses Verhalten wirkte auf mich jetzt nicht gerade professionell. Hatte ein bisschen was von Klassenfahrt... Was natürlich den Eindruck einer eleganten Lounge sofort geschmälert hat.

We ordered food for take a way and were surprised for the great quality. The rump steaks were tender, the pizza is to die for. The only thing I gave four star review is that the burgers were not the best I've ever had. But definitely for the steaks and the pizza I will back again.
