A wonderful restaurant. The service is excellent. The owner is very polite. The food is delicious, especially the Levantine appetizers and meat kabsa. Good luck to them.

Beef fattah. Team is low staffed but they were extremely friendly and helpful. Food quality is amazing. Noticed some bad reviews about slow service but they really try their best and work hard. Amazing food and would wait anytime

The staff is friendly. Yes there is limited staff, but be patient. The food is worth the wait and they truthfully go above and beyond for guests.

Civat has the most flavorful food in Landstuhl! It’s an adorable location with wonderful service. We came here for the second time on my birthday, and I absolutely love it. The Muhammad’s bread, baba ganouj, and garlic-pomegranate dip are amazing!

Once again, I brought a large group to this incredible restaurant. You can make a reservation through their Facebook page. You will likely need one, especially for a group of eight. I brought a new Arab friend here as I convinced him he would feel like he was at home. He was impressed. I tried something different this time ordering the Bajan with spicy ground beef. The Bajan is eggplant. This dish was great although I was hoping for more spice. I also ordered the grilled spicy Muhammra bread with garlic balsamic sauce. My new friend ordered the schwarma and half of the large appetizer platter which serves four people. Another colleague also ordered an eggplant dish different than mine while his wife went with a schwarma platter. Another guy ordered the halloumi fried cheese with a big chicken leg. Lastly, a female friend also ordered a dish which I don't recall the name. However, these photos will speak for themselves. Enjoy! This place is legit. See you in October.

I lived in Jordan for 6 months and, honestly, this is the closest I’ve gotten to true Arabic cuisine. I was blown away from the volume of flavor that was packed into every dish from an incredible walnut dip, hummus, eggplant Fattah with beef and rice, capitalized with a decadent pistachio cheesecake and rich Kurdish Coffee. The value too is unbelievable with large portions at a fair rate. Make no mistake, this is some of the best that Landstuhl has to offer and cannot be missed by those living there or passing though.

Civat is a very good restaurant that offers amazing dishes and take out. Their appetizers along with the shawarma wrap, my favorite, make this spot a top visit. Very good drinks too.

After we had dinner there and just loved it (I had been looking for authentic oriental cuisine nearby for long enough), I ordered a starter buffet here for my birthday. The planning was totally stress-free and the service was excellent. All my expectations were met and even the most suspicious schnitzel eaters were convinced.

Probably one of the coziest restaurants I’ve been in, whilst in Germany. Quiet, but warm and well lit and the decorations are great compliment. Food was very good. Grilled bread was great, along with the pomegranate dip. Get the triple dip sampler with the grilled bread. the schwarma wrap was fresh, flavorful and the veggies were crisp. Before this, Hummus was also kind of a hit or miss dish, but here it was so creamy smooth and complimented every flavor it went with. Walnut dip was also very good! Will be adding this to our regular dining out rotation.

We love Civat. Employees are always so kind & informative. I have never gotten a plate i didn’t absolutely love. They’re very helpful with my husband who has trouble moving around easily. And the drinks are phenomenal.

I have been back several times. I’m just now writing a review. This place has great food and great customer service. They have these seasonal or special occasions sangria pouches that are so cute and just great for fest and just the summer in general. This place is also great for my vegan and vegetarian girlies.

This is our favorite place in the KMC area! We eat here at least twice a month. The food is incredible and it’s something different! Perfect for couples or groups!

Wonderful food and service! Such a cozy warm and inviting place for lunch. Loved enjoying all the flavors and spices that I don't use in my everyday cooking. My teens even enjoyed the atmosphere and food. Highly recommend and will be back in the future! Civat will not disappoint!

It's a great restaurant. I loved the look of the restaurant from the outside and inside. The workers were friendly, clean and very respectful. When I ordered shawarma with kabsa and tabbouleh with natural pomegranate juice. I was amazed that the food was incredibly delicious and fresh. It is a must-visit restaurant for anyone looking to try delicious and authentic Middle Eastern cuisine. The menu at Civat is extensive and offers a wide range of dishes to satisfy all tastes. As many have said, the appetizer sampler is the star of this show. It gives a nice variety of flavors and presents well with a lot of color.

I first found out about this place during my last TDY to Landstuhl. I was ecstatic to find a Middle Eastern restaurant in the heart of the city. I was sad to see that the previous restaurant here closed as a result of COVID-19. Nonetheless, I told my wife that I found the best schwarma in Germany and maybe in all of Europe. We split the platter for two, which included falafel, grape leaves, baba ganosh, muhamara, yogurt with olives, hummus, balsamic and yogurt, muhamara bread and pita bread. We also ordered the schwarma platter with kisbah rice, which we split. She was sold on the appetizers, but I struck gold when she took her first bite of schwarma. This place is for real. Come on out and try this. I promise you will thank me!

Das Essen war sehr lecker! Ich habe viel bestellt und auch wenn viel los war, war das Essen fertig und wurde auch zum mitnehmen so schön angerichtet. Das Essen ist absolut frisch und die Preise sind daher sehr fair und passend. Cavit ist das einzige Restaurant im Umkreis das noch richtige orientalische Küche bietet und nicht mit dem Fastfood Trend mitgemacht hat! Ich finde das sehr lobenswert 👍 und kann das Restaurant nur jedem weiter empfehlen, der gutes Essen schätzt. :)

I was so excited that this restaurant, Civat, opened a few months ago. I dined at this location when it was previously a German restaurant. However, finding a Middle Eastern kitchen in itself was good. Finding one that serves schwarma even better. Finding one that is absolutely amazing is the best. The owner is a wonderful man with whom I enjoyed speaking Arabic. The waitress is a native English speaker. The menus are in both German and English. The four of us started with the appetizer platter for 3-4 people. Everything on it was wonderful, especially the breads, the eggplant, and the muhamara. This is not a very common item. We each ordered a schwarma, but I got mine with Kabsa rice instead of fries. There is a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. A perfect meal. I cannot wait to come back! Shukran jazeelan.

Kleiner Laden mit relativ wenigen Tischen aber sehr gemütlich. Die Bedienung war super freundlich und zuvorkommend (bedient wurde in Englisch falls das jemanden abgeschreckt), Bestellungen wurden fix aufgenommen und auf das Essen musste nur kurz gewartet werden. Das Essen war durchweg super lecker, die diversen Vorspeisen sind sehr zu empfehlen (der Appetitizer Sampler genügt auch für 2 Personen als Vorspeise und ermöglicht direkt einiges zu probieren). Kommen gerne wieder um den Rest der Karte zu probieren! Aktuell ist keine Kartenzahlung möglich aber Sparkasse und Volksbank sind unmittelbar um die Ecke falls nötig.

Amazing selection of foods and drinks. Different foods available depending when you come in, like brunch and dinner have certain selections available. If you are not to sure on what to get, staff members were friendly and helpful. You can never go wrong with appetizer sampler.

Relativ leckeres Essen. Menge jedoch etwas wenig. Finger Weg von der Tabbuleh (nicht lecker mit viel Zwiebeln). Ambiente ausreichend gut. Service leider nur 3 Sterne, weil nur wenig Leute Deutsch können (Sprache am meisten Englisch).

My friend and I shared the plate of appetizer grape leaves, falafel, and many great dips with baked and fried pita. The muhammara pita was unique and exceptional. So much spice. The platter was just right for a light dinner for two. Tasty place and would return to try more.
