Great atmosphere, delicious food. Recommended for different fish and seafood. I've been to this place first in 2011 with a friend, and we both liked it, so when they were back in Dusseldorf in 2023, this is we're we went. Glad to come back and see that the food quality stays high over the years.

Very friendly service, also gave us very good advice regarding the choice of food. Extremely good portions 😁 Rustic atmosphere with lots of Portuguese charm. It's best to reserve a table as the restaurant is very popular and was therefore full. Parking situation is very difficult - it's best to travel by public transport - the draft beer tastes even better! 😁

The shop is really great, the prawns are of course THE hit!! I'm always thrilled with the food. I've never had bad luck here! 1 point deducted for the service, unfortunately I had bad luck with the waiter. But it's been a long time. 1 point deducted for the ambience. But that is my very personal opinion. Both are no reasons not to eat here.

Cod dish Bacalhau is delicious. I also love Superbock draft beer. This is my favorite place in Germany to drink Portuguese draft beer.

A Portuguese 'enclave' in the middle of Düsseldorf. Inconspicuous from the outside, but inside you take a journey into the heart of Portugal when you step over the threshold. Beautiful ambience, warm service and authentic Portuguese cuisine complete the perfect picture. Moderate prices for delicious food. A big 'disadvantage'...unfortunately others know this too, so reserve in good time. 😉

I just love the Tasca. For me, nothing beats the Clube Portugues or the Frango. But the quality of the food rises and falls with the chef. There has certainly been a change in the kitchen. We were a bit disappointed on our last visit, we weren't used to this quality. But that won't stop us from coming back.

I had the rump steak with pepper sauce 👌 It came out medium rare. To the point. A good 250, more like 300 grams. For around 25 euros, including side dishes. It was exactly my taste :-) Fast, friendly service 🫶

Hatte schon soviel vom Clube Portugues gehört und als Meeresfrüchteliebhaberin musste ich hin! Es hat meine Erwartungen total übertroffen. Coole location, man fühlt sich direkt nach Portugal versetzt. Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich und der Service flott. Vorspeise: frittierte Sardinen Hauptspeise : Octopus a Lagareiro (ein Traum!) so zarten, weichen Octopus habe ich das letzet Mal in der Türkei gegessen! Kann ich nur weiterempfehlen, ideal für einen geselligen Abend in der Gruppe.

Only had coffee and pastries. The pastry was a bit disappointing. Tap water is not served with coffee, you must order a bottle. The food looked delicious but we didn't have it. Then you have to make a reservation Many tables were reserved for lunch.

The prawns as a starter were great. The steaks for the main course and especially the spinach side dish are highly recommended. The service ladies were also great, with the exception of one younger colleague.

We picked this restaurant after reading reviews. I was looking forward to Portuguese cuisine. I have visited Portugal and eaten Portuguese dishes over the years and have never been disappointed. There has to be a first time. The flavors I expected simply were missing. I don't know if this place is trying to confirm the basic German cuisine or customer. My recommendation would be to send the chef back to Portugal and revisit the Portuguese cuisine. The dishes we had lacked flavor. The vegetables tasted frozen spiced with a pre-flavored pack that sometimes comes with frozen vegetables. We simply could not eat them.

Really sorry but completely disappointed about food, service and politenesses. Maybe expecting too much comparing to other Portugal restaurants, maybe the restaurant is already too much business oriented and lost the real Portugal tradition and values.

I would like to highly recommend my favorite restaurant for Portuguese cuisine. Every time I dine there I am absolutely amazed by the quality and taste of the dishes. I particularly like to eat fish, clams and pork ribs there. The fish is always fresh and perfectly prepared, the clams are to die for and the pork ribs are incredibly tender and flavorful. Every meal is a culinary delight. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very inviting and cozy, and the staff is always friendly and attentive. It always feels like a little vacation in Portugal. Thank you to the entire team for the wonderful meals and great service! I'm already looking forward to my next visit.

Been there again after years. And pleasantly surprised. Even though, for me, Portuguese cuisine is one of the worst among the Mediterranean (or rather Atlantic) cuisines, the food here is still very good. We had tapas for 2, bread, olives and aioli. And they were full in a very pleasant way. Plus a beautiful rose and mineral water. It's nice to sit in, the staff are quick and friendly, so everything's good. Gladly again.

Nach Jahren mal wieder dort gewesen. Und positiv überrascht. Auch wenn die portugiesische Küche für mich unter den Mittelmeer (oder eher Atlantik) Küchen eher zu den Schlusslichtern gehört, isst man hier trotzdem sehr gut. Wir hatten Tapas für 2, Brot, Oliven und Aioli. Und waren auf sehr angenehme Weise pappsatt. Dazu ein schöner Rose und Mineralwasser. Man sitzt nett, flottes und freundliches Personal, insofern alles gut. Gerne wieder.

A Portuguese as one would imagine. No comparison to the Portuguese restaurants that you see so often. Often with pretty good food, but uncomfortable lighting and ambience. Completely different here- Ambience great. Employees are extremely friendly and attentive. The food is absolutely authentic and freshly prepared. The bottom line is that it's always worth a visit. Reservations wouldn't be the worst idea ;-) Thumbs up 👍

My husband and I have been regular customers at Clube Portugues for years and come here more often on a monthly basis, sometimes even more often a week. Finally we ordered wine and prawns with a side dish. When we paid at Juani's, she very angrily threw some of the money back onto the table because the tip wasn't enough for her. This shocked us because tips are already included in the price and we still always tip.

19.07.2024 Eine Servicemitarbeiterin schien gelangweilt und desinteressiert zu sein. Hingegen zwei andere zuvorkommend freundlich. Das Essen ließ in jeder Hinsicht zu wünschen übrig. Das Rindfleisch vom Spieß war ausgesprochen zäh, das Schweinefleisch allerdings zart. Das übrige Fleisch war geschmacklich laff, d.h. nicht eindeutig zu definieren.. Die Baby calamaris waren Tintenfischringe und damit sehr überteuert 22,50 € ohne Beilagen! Die große Tapasplatte als Vorspeise enttäuschend. Insgesamt sind Preis/Leistungsverhältnis m.E. überzogen und in in keiner Weise berechtigt. Auch das Ambiente entspricht eher einer Hinterhofatmosphäre.

Really nice place, good food, fair prices in 2024. I actually got obsessed with piri piri chicken and was so happy I found an authentic place. Seafood was very good too. Tuna steak was amazing. really good cheesecake.

Short waiting time, then we got a table outside. The service was very nice and attentive. When the boss asked if more people could sit at our table, we weren't very enthusiastic and said no. (there were still enough seats available in the restaurant) The boss couldn't take a no like that and was rude to us. Very unprofessional.

Quality of the food was below average, as was the service. The fish was dry because it was overcooked. The boiled potatoes had already been prepared hours ago. The broccoli was completely overcooked. When asked if it tasted good, my answer was: I was hoping for better quality. The still half-full plates were cleared away with the remark: “You ate half of it!

A little bit of Portugal, a little corner of Portugal in Düsseldorf. Even if you're not going to have lunch, stop by anyway because the Portuguese restaurant is fabulous.

I was very annoyed about visiting the restaurant today. I know the restaurant and actually find it quite good. But today it was simply a no go. Unfortunately, our food was served incorrectly two tables away. After the guests had already picked at it and eaten some of it, the waiter realized that it was served at the wrong table and was actually for us. The waiter brought the two dishes back in and the other waitress immediately came out with the dishes. I asked: "I hope these are new dishes and not something that was just served to the other guests." The waitress then just shrugged her shoulder. I tried the food and it was cold. I gave the dish back and confronted the waiter, you can't give a guest a dish that another guest has eaten before!! He apologized and we also got new dishes. That was probably the last visit there. To be honest, you just don't do something like that.

Great lunch menu options and a beautiful ambience. The food was delicious and fairly priced, though I personally had two lunch options, as I was pretty hungry when I came. The waiters are very friendly and there’s a great mix in the range of guests at the restaurant. Make sure to come early, as depending on the day & weather, it might be very busy around lunchtime.

It used to be my favorite restaurant in Düsseldorf. Yesterday, I returned after a year, bringing family and friends along. Food and service aren’t the same quality anymore. One of the dishes came with a hair underneath the steak we ordered, and only a blunt sorry was offered back. It is sad to say it, but I'm not recommending this place anymore.

The terrace is a dream, the sun was shining but we also had shade, the food was great as always, so grade 1!

Nice restaurant with attentive service. We had booked a table in advance, which we were supposed to do. For starters we had fried sardines and olives with ajoli. There was also SuperBock (delicious Pilsner on tap) and Rose. The main course was Carne Alentejo style, consisting of pork, potatoes, vegetables and mussels. Then there was cod and a meat plate. Another dessert for dessert and we were able to go home full and satisfied.

For starters we ordered prawns, bread, olives and aglio. For the main course we ordered a mixed fish platter. Unfortunately neither the prawns nor the fish had any taste. Even salt and pepper were not sprinkled on them, and the cook had just fried them and put them on the plate. Normally the back of the prawns in restaurants should be clean, since I eat prawns in most restaurants, I pay attention to this issue. Unfortunately the prawns had not been cleaned before cooking and I had to use a knife and clean them before eating, which is unpleasant. The waiters were largely unattentive to orders and requests, preferring to be addressed in English. If something was missing we had to wait at least ten minutes for a waiter to take your order. Unfortunately the food had no taste at all and that was the first and last time we went to this restaurant.

A very nicely and authentically decorated restaurant with very good, delicious, authentic food. We had the grilled king prawns and the Bife a Portugues, both very tasty and recommended.

I was at the location on Friday evening due to an event in the local area. Although the shop was very full, they asked at a table whether we could join them. That's exactly how I know it from restaurants in southern Europe. In this case we were lucky and were able to enjoy the very tasty and authentic food and drinks. The service was very brief, but extremely professional and polite. Can only recommend Clube Portugues.

We were able to enjoy a specialty from Portugal on Easter Sunday. The food was super tasty, just like the two “normal dishes” on the menu. It was another great evening with super friendly and attentive people.

We visited the restaurant on a Sunday evening with a group of 7 people. The restaurant was already busy at 6 p.m., so reservations are recommended. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our table. We chose an appetizer platter to share and then ordered 7 different main courses. The food was served quickly, hot and correctly. All guests were satisfied and enjoyed the food. In terms of price it was also completely okay. Overall, our visit to Clube Portugues was a pleasant dining experience.

Nice atmosphere and nice service. Anyone who likes meat is really in good hands here. I had a really good fillet steak. It was cooked exactly as I ordered it. The prices are reasonable for this quality.
